Pimento Lodge Resort

I've been meaning to write a review for this wonderful place for a while. A recent photo memory reminded of how nice of a stay I had. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality and the staff were all friendly. You can see the love and care put into the resort. You feel so much peace by the pool next to the hummingbirds. We look forward to some time staying again.

We loved the Pimento Lodge! Hosts Lloyd and Kate provide such a warm and gracious welcome to this slice of paradise. Other highlights were the views from our room over the lush vegetation to the ocean, the daybed by the window, the nutritious meals and feeling of being away from it all. There is a great local eatery just down the road and plenty of activity within a short drive to make it just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. We're planning to come back and bring friends!

We just returned home after an 11 night stay at the Pimento Lodge in Long Bay, Portland Jamaica. Kate and Lloyd were fabulous hosts and made us feel right at home. They make an excellent breakfast (and dinner to order) with a variety of options each day. We had so many fruits and vegetables grown right on the property. The lodge has incredibly beautiful grounds with trees, flowers, birds, butterflies and even an owl! It is so peaceful and relaxing and just short walk to long bay beach. Close proximity to Reach falls, Boston jerk and the blue lagoon. Winifred beach is also a must for an authentic Jamaican beach experience. Kate and Lloyd can help book taxis and tours and have extensive knowledge about the area. We enjoyed our daily visits with them as much as we enjoyed our stay. We can’t wait to come back! We are just home from a very special week at Pimento Lodge. Owners Kate and Lloyd are the loveliest people and we will treasure the laughs and conversation we had. This is a truly beautiful spot - peaceful, with birds, butterflies and other wildlife in the lovely, well-kept gardens (take binoculars!). Rooms are spacious and very clean with spectacular sea views. Salt water pool was lovely too. Thank you K&L, our bodies and souls are rested and nourished! X

Our stay at Pimento Lodge was absolutely wonderful. Mr. Llod and Mrs. Kate are such kind and attentive individuals, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay with their interesting and gentle conversations. The entire staff is helpful and friendly, the accommodations are impeccably clean, and the overall infrastructure is fantastic. The pool area and rooms offer stunning ocean views, and the surroundings are embraced by nature. We highly recommend this place! We hope to see you again soon

We arrived at the hotel after a long drive, Lloyd the owner of the hotel greeted us, he accompanied us to our room. The room was very nice, spacious and very clean. Outside the room there is a table and two chairs so you can enjoy sitting outside. The surroundings of the hotel is very beautiful, lots of flowers and trees. Along with Lloyd is his wife Kate, Kate is an amazing cook, we really enjoyed the meals. Kate and Lloyd are kind hosts, we really enjoyed chatting with them and hearing their story. For those looking to escape the noise this is definitely the place for you, quiet and calm. You will not be disappointed when you get here. Accommodation above expectations.

We really enjoyed this hidden treasure location in the mountains. This beautiful hotel has been build by the owners (Lloyd and Kate). It has 8 rooms and can host around 20 guests. We enjoyed the pool with a stunning ocean view. Over and above the breakfast the owners offered us a self cooked dinner every night. Most is cooked organically straight from the garden. The bar offered a variety of drinks to accommodate dinner. The warm hearted owners provided us a serine ambiance to recharge and relax. ||This location is great to explore the east part of the island: Range Falls, Boston Beach, Frenchman’s Cove (our favorite beach) Rio Grande rafting and various mountain hikes. |We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this part of the island.

We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed every minute. Lloyd and Kate are absolutely delightful people and very soon make you feel like you are visiting new friends in their wonderful, great home and not simply staying in a hotel at all. When you learn that Lloyd personally created this beautiful property from the ground up, devoting love and attention to every detail, you understand why this is such a special place. Here you immediately are comfortable, Lloyd and Kate are ready to help you find your way around, and there are fabulously beautiful coves and waterfalls to visit during the day for a swim, for snorkeling, or even to learn to surf. In the evening, you can walk down from the hotel to an excellent seafood restaurant (called Secrets) that is right on the beach and dine to the sound of the waves. I cannot recommend Pimento Lodge highly enough. We went as a family (ages 23 to 70) and every one of us loved it. We all feel incredibly lucky to have discovered it and spent our vacation here!
