I had my spoiler installed from this shop a few years ago. After removing the spoiler, i found out rhat they drilled disproportioned holes on my hatch. Some of the holes they drilled weren't even utilized for the hardware the spoiler needed. I do remember the initial installation being crooked that's why i sent it back to them to fix it. They never disclosed that theu drilled another set of holes before i left the shop.

I can't even begin to explain how incredibly grateful I am for Edgar's service. He did a hardwire dashcam installation on my 2019 Civic with no problems. I'm very happy with how it came out, and haven't had any issues. Despite lots of miscommunication on my part, he was very kind and patient with me. For vehicle pickup, I was unaware of closing time & arrived 40 minutes passed. I was super embarrassed, He didn't hold it against me & proceeded to work with me regardless of being closed. I really appreciate all his hard work. I plan to return to get work done on my other vehicle. Thank you for everything.

I took in my Ultra Lexus LS to get star lights installed after talking to a few other shops. He quoted me a price and gave me a estimate of how long it was going to take and I let them get to work. It was worth the wait they installed 480 star lights on my car is headliner. They did a very good job and I am happy with it.

Even though I dont live in San Diego anymore since I bought my house a hour away. Its always a joy to come and talk to you. I recently had a Pioneer Apple CarPlay stereo and rear backup camera installed in my daughter's first car (2010 C300), and we couldn't be happier with the experience! I'd known Edgar for years and took my cars to him.He doesn't like being wrong and he would never admit fault. I tried to reach him to replace my tweeters cause they keep blowing out and he never got back to me. So I went to a different shop and they showed me what pimp ur ride did when they took apart where my tweeters rests. One tweeter was a whole different one than the other.im no stereo guy but I do know tweeters come in sets and that's what he charged me And as you can see from the picture, they made the smaller one fit by glueing it and stuffing card board in the casing. If you become friends with him get used to be putting on the back burner. You are not priority anymore. The new customers that spend money on a whole new system comes first. One thing he is good at is upselling. He'll ask you on a scale of 1 to 10 how loud you want your vehicle. You give him a number and he'll install mediocre speakers that you get tired of and you go back to getting better ones instead of giving you what you wanted in the first place or place the blame on you because "this is what you asked for". So all of you reading this beware. I just showed you proof how pimp ur ride does business. I suggest you look at the product get installed because they installed some bull crap tweeters that blew out on me the first week I got them.i know this will change our friendship after he reads this but it is what it is. If he's willing to do this to a friend, what do you think he'll do to you?

I had purchased some gold 150 spoke wire wheels, and it was difficult to have someone install them on my car. I went to Pimp Ur Ride, and Edgar said he'd do it. That was a year ago, and I am still truly happy with the way my 2017 Cadillac CT6 looks. I really recommend Edgar and his team for any customizations you want for your car.

ordered two sets of mud flaps and only one was shippe. I asked what happened and they refused to do anything about it

I needed some bodywork support for my JDM Prius G's retrofit project. I ordered used front and rear bumper covers from Japan. In both cases, the polypropylene bumper covers had been taken from wrecked cars, and they were abused during the international shipping process. The PUR shop was able to take these body parts and restore them to mint condition and apply a fresh two tone paint job for an affordable price. I will be coming back for all of my custom bodywork needs.

We needed some bells and whistles for our company truck and Pimp Ur Ride came through at a great price. Edgar is very knowledgeable and it seems there's nothing he can't do (don't quote on that) but he's very helpful and always answers the phone to answer any questions. On top of that the final results came out great.

I had my spoiler installed a few years back and just removed it to replace. Just found out they drilled unnecessary disproportioned holes all over my hatch that wasn't disclosed to me after installation.

Very happy with the work Edgar and his team did. I requested a quote from Edgar for an install of a front splitter, rear diffuser, and wickerbill I purchased from a 3rd party. The quote was very reasonable and he was able to squeeze the install into his schedule which was very appreciated. I dropped the car and parts off at the scheduled time and left feeling comfortable knowing the team would be able to get the job done. A little later, Edgar called to confirm a few details about the install, and then called a couple hours later to inform me they were wrapping things up. Once I arrived, one of the Pimp Ur Ride members brought my car around. As soon as I saw the finished product, my head exploded. Everything was perfect. Mind you, the parts came with very few directions (literally like 2 directions about not over tightening screws lol). But Edgar and his team were able to put the vision into reality, down to the smaller details of how far the splitter and diffuser would stick out. When it comes to custom installs, there are few shops you can trust to get the job done. I would recommend Edgar and the Pimp Ur Ride team to handle any custom work you need done. It seems they specialize in audio, wheels, lights, and even installing TVs in cars...but they sure do get the job done with aero installs as well!

Just had some new parts installed to my mercedes' and i couldn't be happier! Edgar's shop did an amazing job everything was installed just the way i wanted. Hands down the best shop in San Diego with the best prices. Definitely coming back for some more upgrades!

Edgar replied to my request regarding an installment on a spoiler for my 2018 Nissan Maxima. The spoiler was not ment for my car but is possible to install , the challenge was I had installed it and the spoiler wasn't install perfectly flushed. I took the car to the shop for the owner Edgar to take a look. He was straight forward and honest without trying to fool me on any promises. I'd rather have someone tell me it might not work , then to do so and mess it up even more instead and I'm still having to end up paying. Instead Edgar and I both agreed it wasn't worth trying to have it sit perfectly since the spoiler still sat pretty good on the car as is . Instead Edgar did tell me he can connect the tail light on the spoiler for me , which took Pimp ur Ride 20 minutes to what took me and a friend of mine two hours and a blown fuse later.. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest opinion and work.

Awesome Experience. Needed speakers for a 2020 Hyundai SUV. We formulated a plan, executed it but it wasn't 100% what I was looking for in my sound. We discussed a fix/addition to the system & Edgar the owner, was incredibly gracious and helpful about getting it done. Now I'm super happy w/ the sound. Edgar & team did a bang-up job on my blacked-out Evoque. The painted red calipers look great. He was super friendly and easy to work with. All the work and prices matched what we initially agreed on. I'd highly recommend him.

I emailed around to get a good price to get a quote for fixing the hood of my infiniti since the clear coat was coming off. I have been going to Edgar at Pimp your Ride for 4 years. They provide quick serivce at a great price, that in my opinion can rival anyone out there in San Diego. Most people assume they only do custom audio, but this is far from truth. Some things I have got done there are window tinting, collision repair and paint, HID lighting, interior and exterior and just recently suspension work. The guy there was cool. He got to take my stereo and alarm out of my ford explorer and install alarm in to my ranger and stereo In my Durango for a good price. Very clean job and even the head lights don't turn on automatically when I turn the key on. To me that's a plus because I hated the automatic headlights. The bad is it's hard to find parking in from of the shop.

Took my 2020 mustang in for them to put a spoiler on it. I brought them the spoiler told Edgar how it's supposed to go etc we settled on a price and he told it would be done in 2 hours. Later that day I get a call from Edgar saying he's gonna charge me more money because he has to drill two more holes in my car and spoiler. I asked him isn't that involved in the install fee he said no because " my spoiler is wrong and he has to make two of his own holes" I tell him fine okay. I showed up to the place to pick up my car and he broke one of my spoiler pieces because of the two holes he wanted to add so he made me pay extra and broke my piece. He fixed the piece in 2 days then I came in and he put it on gave me back my car and the whole spoiler was loose and not on tight. Theses people will rip you off and not give you a job.

Ordered headlights on amazon for my truck. They installed them in the amount of time they said it would take. Headlights look great.

I was here to get my windows on my 2014 Ford Focus tinted. I did the limo tint. My car looks amazing now! I couldn't be happier with the end result. My experience was January 2019: I called to inquire about keyless entry options and I was asked a few questions and we found a viable option and made a appointment. I dropped of my Truck and Edgar and his crew got to work. They exceeded my expectations and had the truck project completed in less than a days work and under $300 dollars. With lifetime warranty on labor and 1 year limited warranty on the system installed. Overall I was happy was this establishment. I hope to work with them again in the future.

Edgar is an awesome person. He is the main guy you will deal with if you go in the shop. He worked with me on several issues with my car. Took it back to them to do cosmetic stuff to my car and they went above and beyond. I tried True Customs from national city and they were garbage. Pimp Your Ride will really take care of you.

Okay so where do I start... I had the following done on my 2014 Civic Coupe: - Windows tinted - break calipers painted - smoked out tail lights and parts of the head lights - installed new springs and lowered the car - painted the roof black - smoked out the reflectors - replaced the chrome "H" and "civic" letters with black ones I'm very satisfied with Edgar's work and service! I love how my car looks and I have absolutely no complains! The price was really good compared to the prices I heard at other places. Love this shop and definitely recommend it!

5 STAR shop, 4 STAR review... Excellent service and advice from Edgar, I really felt that I could trust him for my paint job and I was not disappointed. Do NOT let the shop name fool you...he is legit! Had to take a star away for late completion on a Friday, mostly due to poor weather, but I was told it would be done and it wasn't. ..had to leave it over the weekend. Truck also received a minor ding while in his custody but he was upfront about it and I was offered compensation to make it right. Can't say that about most businesses. Thanks Edgar for taking care of my truck.I have two more projects and I will return.

My name is Edmund schafer, I was in the Navy from 2002 to 2010, their is one place I always go to take my vehicles for any automotive repair when it comes to my audio equipment , that's PIMP UR RIDE, I have taken my 2001 Ford focus, 2009 chevy cobalt and now my chevy avalanche. Recently I had a problem with my kenwood DNX690HD, the navigation went bad after I had already up graded it. I called the factory they told me to uninstall it and ship it back. I called Edgar from PIMP UR RIDE, for a receipt, he advised me to bring it to the shop and said he would take care of everything and he did, he even gave me a loaner till the new one got fixed. Two days later he called me back and told me he could just trade it in and instead got me the newer model for free. Thanks "PIMP UR RIDE" YOU AND ALL YOUR STAFF, DO AMAZING WORK, KEEP IT UP.

Took my car in to have after market fenders installed and the guys did an awesome job!! Edgar was honest and straight up, hard to find businesses like that!!

There are a few things that I am very picky about choosing and those are my dentist, hairstylist and an auto repair shop. I have to say that I can trust that when I leave my car here I will not end up feeling cheated on the service. I don't know how I've never wrote a review about this amazing place! Edgar and his team are amazing. When I first came in, Edgar and I held a great conversation before we actually talked about business and what I was looking to get done. I told him what I wanted for my truck, priced some things out, etc. I made sure to let him know that I was moving to Las Vegas (where I'm currently at, and writing this review from) and I wanted to get some things done before I left. His prices are extremely affordable! He installed a 2-way alarm onto my truck to replace my stock alarm (and even showed me how to use the functions of it, like remote-start, sensor sensitivity, etc.) as well as installed a back up camera that sits flush with my rear bumper. A couple weeks later, I've noticed that the camera would come in and out, and when I brought it in, he had a tech work on it, free of charge! Talk about taking care of your customers! I didn't get as much as I wanted done before I left San Diego, but I will definitely be coming back to him to get more work done on my truck next time I'm in town. I'm in Vegas now, and driving all the way to SD is definitely worth the drive because he won't let you drive away with shotty workmanship. It's obvious that he cares about the quality of his work, because it's a reflection of his business. I would definitely recommend Pimp Ur Ride to any and everyone who wants some work done on their car!

Owner Edgar is knowledgeable guy who know what he is talking about. You could get a job done here with reasonable price. I recently get my 2014 AUDI Q5 Tdi calipers painted red. Not bad I was expecting to remove them to paint but he painted as in place. He did pretty good job as he mentioned and look good too but if you are owner and inspect them like me then it's 8 of 10, however price was good. Also tint job on front window is flawless. I give Edgar 10 of 10 on that with a price. Would I recommend? Yes I would and I will def. go back for some another job and I will ask specific questions too.
