Our favorite place of the whole trip was the Pine Bungalows, and we stayed for two nights. Very good location close to everything. They honored our request to be in cabins 1 – 10…we were in cabin #3. Every cabin there looked like they were brand new. Our riverfront cabin was very nice. It is heated by a gas fireplace, had a full kitchen and a large king bed. The bathroom floors were heated. Each unit has a picnic table, a couple chairs, a firepit with wood, parking right at the cabin…and an unbelievable view. They do not have AC but have lots of windows (it was cool while we were there.) They did have many options for other cabins that were not riverfront with some holding 8 people…many had AC.||The best part was the wildlife…they have it right on the property. We saw 3 different bears right near our cabin and saw another one on the trail along the river…we would not have seen them if we were not in cabins 1 – 10. They also have elk on the property.| |The restaurant had a surprisingly fancy menu more suited to a high-end restaurant. It was good, they serve everything as sharable, and the dishes come out as the chef thinks they pair. We are not seafood eaters so our options were a little limited. The staff there was great and most just started when they opened a few weeks ago.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Pine Bungalows! The cabin was adorable and right on the river, I so enjoyed starting each morning with some reading time on the bench outside our place. The room was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were traveling on our honeymoon and the staff wrote us a note and left us a special treat. It was also great to be able to contact them via text. They were extremely responsive and even proactively checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would love to stay again and highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time here. I am hoping they were safe during the fires of July 2024. We were there in May 2024 and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The cabins were cozy, comfy and well appointed. The location on the river was perfect and close to town and all the great restaurants too. Plus they have a gourmet restaurant in their main building! We had a fine meal there.

We stayed at Pine Bungalows on a recent family vacation to Banff and Jasper. This property was absolutely spectacular. It was a perfect balance - a five minute drive to town for coffee or dinner but also quiet / serene enough to be away from the crowds. We loved sitting on benches by the river watching for animals. Cabins were clean and surprisingly roomy. We will be back and would highly recommend!

We know the place for 20 years. Since the new owners took over the price nearly tripled for the cabins. There have been renovations, the cabin have been very well maintained. The surroundings are pure nature, far away from the buzzling Jasper. The three stars I gave concerns the price and what you get- its pure authentic, but not affordable for everyone now anymore. But obviously the is what Jasper costs nowadays. |The adjoining restaurant was very good but also very pricey. So was the grocery store. All in all staff are very friendly and well trained. Wildlife is often in the area. The Athabasca river is majestic as always and will continue to run through the property. Good bye Pine Bungalows, we had great times there.

Booked a room here and left an unnecessary, required deposit for a ridiculous amount of money. Every other business has already given refunds remotely, because of the fires, but Pine Bungalows has failed to do so even though they did not suffer damage. Hopefully, they will refund the money ASAP which would be weeks after the fire. They told me that they needed the insurance company to come out first. That’s really not a reason to hold my money as they could just show them the lost bookings. Any further delay is inexcusable as it was a refundable deposit that I gave in good faith. The lady was very rude about the whole ordeal and basically said that she didn’t care about my vacation even though I needed those funds to change my plans. It’s not my fault that Jasper had a fire. Being empathetic about the people who lost everything and asking a business for a deposit back are really 2 different things. I would be very leery about paying this business anything upfront to book a room. The other businesses (some that suffered fire damage) were more professional.

What a beautiful place! It is next to a river, with private cabins scattered around, with full amenities, and no TV for the true experience of being with nature instead of wasting time on the tube. My cabin has a king bed plus a single on the corner. Full bath with soaker tub. Water pressure is great, rustic decors; there are a small fridge and kettle, coffee maker with a supply of tea and coffee. There is an adjacent space for car parking. The pines, shrubs, and well maintained ground are amazing. The staff was gracious and informative. The dining area is inviting and beautiful. A walk along the river us truly amazing. Due to the wildfire this year, we had to leave before the scheduled time, but the experience was already magical. Will definitely return.

My daughter and I stayed in a river front bungalow for 5 nights. What a nice place. Clean cabins, great service, small restaurant on the premises, community campfires, and plenty of wildlife roaming the grounds. Cabin is cleaned every day, plus a fresh supply of firewood with kindling, matches, and firestarter delivered to your door every day. Great location with easy access to town. Staff is also super friendly. Highly recommend staying here. I can't wait to return.|(BTW, they do have wifi, not the best, but adequate.)
