Awesome little place! Food is awesome! The staff is friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience. They have a shop connected with tons of things to look through.

This restaurant is awesome. Best breakfast I’ve ever had outside of the city. Huge portions and great service. It took me longer to decide what I wanted than it did for them to prepare it. Very large seating area capable of handling plenty of business. Will be the knew go to for breakfast when we are up north.

I love their soup and salad bar. It is a nice place to meet for breakfast or lunch. I do wish they were open later for dinner since a lot of people don't get off of work until after they've closed for the day. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Wait 5 mins for service. People after us was served 1st. We had breakfast, large amount, however the food came out luke warm. Ok food, but not for the price. Didn't see the syrup on the bench when I sat down. Moved and my butt was stck to the seat. Nasty. Asked for a small orange juice, gave us what looked like kids orange juice. So small. Most tables were open, not many people and 4 servers. Will not be back.

They have infinity mirrors and a bunch of cool other gifts on the gift shop next door. Also, their French toast was amazing. Very yummy food. : )

Had pancakes with my meal...they were a bit too dense & heavy, but the flavor was delicious!!

This place is a gem! We had excellent service and wonderful food. The menu has a great collection of well-priced items, including all-day breakfast. My only "wish" is that I could have tried a latte, but a SF vanilla latte with almond milk would have been $5.50 for a small, which is reasonable, but (for me) not worth the splurge. We all went with burgers for lunch, which looked like and had the consistency of hand-made patties. Our mushroom burger and patty melt were each well made. The kids' baskets have generous portions with a heap of fries (my boys LOVED the fries). I had the hashbrowns with my burger; they were great. We'll be back for sure!

Stopped at this little gem for a bite with the kiddos today. I ordered a side or mini doughnuts with the gourmet dip to tag along which myself and the kids loved! I also got an order of banana walnut oatmeal 👌 which was not bad at all.. (even though I'm not a huge fan of walnuts) and finally I finished off with probably the most basic but delicious.. Turkey club 😋 Tons of options on the menu, so many you'll be surprised how long it takes to make up your mind. There is also a neat and good size gift shop connected to the restaurant on the backend with a plentiful assortment of nik naks, apparel, gift cards, etc.. 4/5 🌟 simply because I happened to be the only one in here over an hour before close and it took me around 20 min to get my main course 🙃 food was wonderful though, I'll be back!

Yelp
Their food is amazing and the owners are absolute gems! They've ran this place forever and are the nicest people and super hard working. The best breakfast by far in northern Minnesota. You have got to try their french toast! Like nothing else!!

Yelp
Was really looking forward to breakfast here based on reviews. It was only OK. The coffee was so-so. Weirdly they didn't have half and half when we asked (what kind of full service restaurant doesn't have half and half somewhere in the kitchen?) so the only creamer available was the Coffee Mate plastic creamer cups on the table. The food was okay. Eggs Benedict were fine, my husband got the deep-fried French toast which he said was good. The highlight was the hash browns- the potatoes are ribboned so every bite is a little crispy and a little tender. Next time I would keep it simple and get eggs and hash browns and bacon.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with the good flavor in northern MN. It's decorated accordingly. Service is good. Had the corned beef hash, Carmel pecan roll and eggs Benedict. Everything was good and bordering on great. I don't normally like corned beef hash but this had no veggies and I thought the flavor was very good. Carmel pecan roll was baked throughout but the sauce made it gooey and it was served with butter. Well done!! I asked for extra hollandaise but it wasn't needed which is abnormal. The biggest surprise was the homemade hashbrowns. I loved the texture and they came out a little crispy.

Yelp
Great breakfast place! We had the eggs Benedict, French toast and fisherman (eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast) all was great. Servers were friendly, ambiance was on par with the area. Gift shop was very nice.

Yelp
I love this place. My favorite hash browns in the whole world. I only wish the coffee shop was open more hours. I always seem to miss the times to get a blended coffee drink.

Yelp
This was a great spot for breakfast! Lots of space and a gift shop. Made having breakfast with a toddler easy. :)

Yelp
Very nice accommodations and friendly service. I was pleased with the price as well. My room was clean and well stocked. I will stay here again.

Yelp
the food was very subpar. not the best atmosphere either. took very long to come out. they did not give me creamer for my coffee

Yelp
Best breakfast always. Cute decor. Great service. Big menu. Specialty coffees if you want them. Friendly staff. And then you have a gift shop with a variety of items. Kids area upstairs.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite eating spots; always good food, good service and good prices! They also have daily specials that are even a better deal.

Yelp
Overall, the food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast is served until 2pm. I had the "Fisherman's Plate" which included 2 eggs, hash browns, toast and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage. The food could use more seasoning/spices, but for the price it is a great deal. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the establishment is right off the bike/walk trail. I would come back.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Family owned since 1985. Beautiful gift shop. Next door to Pine Peaks Lodge and Suites. Daily breakfast and lunch specials. Home style cooking. A locals favorite.

Yelp
This a great place to eat. Service is fast and great waitresses for both meals. I tried the Knute sandwich, It was great. We stayed at the hotel and they gave us coupons for free breakfast.

Yelp
Good food, decently priced, and service was good. My family and I went there for breakfast during the weekday. I ordered the Biscuit & Gravy with a side of hash-browns and my wife ordered French Toast w/ham steak & bacon. The French Toast, Ham Steak, & Hash-Browns were great, but the Biscuit & Gravy were ok. Highly recommend the diner, has a very unique shop attached to browse and buy cool stuff while you wait.

Yelp
Stopped in for our complimentary breakfast and ordered our food rather quickly. It was busy but we watched as table after table that were seated after us got their food. We asked our server and she said the kitchen is backed up and that's it. No I'm sorry but what really happened is she forgot to our our food order in because a party of 12 got fed before us when they were seated 15 after us. Wish I could judge the good but after waiting an hour and 10 minutes from sitting down we left. Didn't even get much of an apology other than the same line that the kitchen was backed up. If the server had been honest with us or even bothered to check up on us it would have been easier to wait that long but she didn't she just kept saying the kitchen was backed up when they were churning out food for everyone else. Won't ever come back here again sorry. Also hotel was way over priced for the accommodations and a seven day cancellation policy is ridiculous. We didn't have our room made up all weekend and didn't get our breakfast either day. Overall way to much money for a motel six up north and the restaurant has terrible service. Very disappointed in everything about it.

Yelp
Great little restaurant and decor/clothing store. Breakfast buffet and salad bar. Ordered the pancakes, eggs and bacon. Decent prices, decent food, and great coffee. Would return.

Yelp
Great place to stop! The deep fried French toast is soooo good. My husband had the western omelet and hash browns, both really good. My son was really looking forward to a cinnamon role and they were gone so go early if that's what your looking for. The French toast was his back up plan and it certainly didn't disappoint!!

Yelp
Been coming here since the days when it was the Crosslake Cafe. Visiting the Pine Peaks is a summer lake weekend tradition for our family, but I stop in on day trips up north in the winter months as well. The weekend breakfast buffet is good, with standard fare and salad bar available. Very good pancakes off the menu, but the ones on the buffet seem different. The veggie breakfast skillet and chicken fried steak are great. Service can occasionally be a bit slow, but not terrible as the place tends to be very busy. Adjoining gift shop is a good place for kid tshirts and home garden items. We were at the Pine Peaks on Thursday, might go back Monday morning!

Yelp
we stopped for breakfast on 08/07. i had the french toast and it was very good. my wife had an omelette and that was very good also. staff was very attentive and cordial. enjoyed it so much went back the next day and tried the eggs benedict. not as good as the previous day but adequate

Yelp
This is a comfortable family restaurant. With a great wishing well (I haven't seen these since I was a kid - a place where a child can pull out a prize after eating), a laid-back atmosphere and plenty of space to wander around, this is a good place to bring kids. People told me its known primarily for breakfast and is busiest in the mornings, especially Sundays. When we visited for dinner, there weren't many customers. While the service was friendly and the prices very reasonable (almost everything is under $9), I wasn't impressed with the food. While breakfast is available all day, the non-breakfast choices were limited. The vegetable of the day were peas. I like peas, but these were mushy canned peas - pretty inedible. My wild rice was overcooked and not very flavorful. A decent salad bar comes with entrees, but the only lettuce available was iceberg, and the spoons near the soup were dirty. My favorite part of the meal was the soup.

Yelp
We stopped at Pine Peaks for breakfast/lunch~WOW! We were not let down! My husband had the three meat skillet made with their homemade hash browns and I had a cheeseburger with the upgrade to their homemade French fries. We both agreed we had not had a better similar meal anywhere else; in fact, I think we'd both agree it was the best skillet and best cheeseburger (respectively) that we've ever had. On top of the delicious food, the restaurant itself is charming, roomy, and family-friendly, and next time we'll be sure to browse the large gift shop for great finds.

Yelp
Food was pretty good but the restaurant was a bit drafty and I forgot to bring a sweater. If your coming here make sure to Bring a light sweater or a long sleeve shirt of some kind and order a hot beverage like coffee or hot chocolate to keep warm.

Yelp
Cozy and quaint local cafe in Crosslake, MN. It has an Up north woods cabin feel atmosphere and decor located in the heart of Minnesota's lake country. This restaurant serves both breakfast and lunch items and is open until 4pm most days. On the weekends in the summer they also offer a buffet option. The restaurant also has a really nice gift shop with lots of of northwoods home decor and location specific apparel. I have eaten here once before and had a good experience. I had ordered a breakfast skillet and it was pretty good. However this time I opted for the Turkey club sandwich, something seemingly simple and basic. However when the sandwich arrived it was filled with appearingly grisly hunks of grayish dark meat. The bread was dry and the tomatoes were mealy. And the cheese was of the processed individually wrapped slices variety. The sandwich as a whole was a disappointment and had the overall appearance and taste as if it were prepped hours ago and stored in the fridge. Upon attempting to pick it up and take a bite the sandwich and its components started to fall apart. My two experiences here were very contrasting therefore leaving room for another visit to form a solid opinion.

Yelp
I have come here for years for breakfast. never have been here for lunch or dinner, so can't comment on that. The breakfast is always outstanding, anything I have had is great. My favorite is....well, any omelet they make. Service is always very, very good and even when the are packed - which is often in the summer - the kitchen cranks out your order amazingly fast..
