What a lovely place to visit, wish we had stayed longer (instead of coming back to Nassau!). This venue (32 units I think) is privately owned but owners only have use of the facilities for 6 months of the year, hence at other times it is rented out. You definitely need a car - we collected ours at the airport and the hotel can provide you with a list of car hire companies. The rooms are set out as a bedroom (excellent bed and pillows), a good size bathroom (the water pressure was weak), a lounge and balcony/terrace and a very well appointed kitchen - ours also included water, tea and coffee. The rooms are made up daily and the staff are very friendly - Tammy and her team do a great job. We always did breakfast ourselves, so you need to stock up in Governor's Harbour on your way from the airport (you must fly to Governor's Harbour - GHB). There are no food facilities provided by the hotel, so I would recommend booking venues in advance. Tippy's is a 2 minute walk, but will get busy on band nights (Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday I think) - so book a table. There are also plenty of other places to eat, but other than the extremely good Potlatch Club (which is very expensive and only a 5 minute walk) you will need to drive. The roads are dark and with no pavements (if you are English) or sidewalks! Taxis are available but we didn't try them and no idea what the cost would be, probably not cheap. The wifi is great at the hotel and there is an attractive pool - not heated but in February it was warm enough. The best attraction though is the beautiful beach which is a 2 minute walk away and it runs for miles! Look for the high and low tide times if you really want a long walk. Looking forward to returning one day, a lovely experience.
