Pineapple House Boutique Hotel

An exceptional property with outstanding hospitality and lovely, modern decor rooms! The staff were so kind and it was a great experience. I especially enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommend!

Such a cute hotel. I loved all the details in the hotel and the rooms. Great design. I loved it! The staff is also great, Trav, Milton and everyone else. Breakfast was a party and everything is fresh. Thank you for that and all the help and advise. The location is nice, near Mojo foodmarket and the beach! The room was a little too small for two people who are just friends. The shower was made from glass on one side, so not the most privacy. Other than that it was a great hotel with great people.

Really cool place to stay when in Cape Town - really comfortable bed and despite the room being small it didn't matter at all! Lovely welcome when we arrived and a great location. Thanks for having us!

More like the Squeaky House with false advertising.Do not stay here. The Pineapple Hotel looks fine in photos, but in real life it’s an overpriced shoebox with a marketing budget.|We booked a “Deluxe” room via Booking.com that was advertised as 25 sqm (see confirmation). What we got was roughly a 4x4 meter box, and yes, that included the bathroom (see photo). Around 16 sqm in reality. There was barely space to open a suitcase unless you enjoy playing Tetris with your belongings.|Sleeping was a nightmare because the ceiling/floor situation is possessed. Every time the guests above us moved, the room performed a full concert of creaks, cracks, and squeals. Constant noise. If you like the soothing soundtrack of an old wooden ship in a storm, you’ll love it.||Now the best part: management. I asked on five separate occasions for the manager to contact me to resolve the “25 sqm advertised vs. 16 sqm delivered” issue as the present staff explained were not authorized to do anything. Every time: “She’s not here today, she’ll be back tomorrow.” Tomorrow seems a hotel policy meaning “never” or the manager actually doesn’t work a lot (likely). I caught a brief glimpse of her once, apparently she does exist, but it was while she was speaking to a staff member in a very demeaning way, which was the only consistent management activity I observed.||To be clear: the staff on duty were actually very friendly and polite, which made this worse, because it felt like they’ve had these exact complaints many times before and are left to absorb the frustration while the manager hides and tells they are not allowed to do anything. Between their reactions, a similar review already online, and the total refusal to engage, this doesn’t feel like an honest mistake. It feels like a deliberate strategy.||No meaningful solution. No compensation. Nothing. Because of the squeeking we were offered alternative sad-looking room with no natural light below ground level. The attitude was: we are very sorry for you however we are not allowed to do anything for you.||One more thing: if you’re a guest who was also misinformed about room size, complain and leave an review. Don’t let this kind of scamming quietly win.

We are a little bit disappointed. Pineapple House Boutique Hotel is not a cheap accommodation...we paid for a baby cot. So they knew, we were travelling with a baby/toddler. But for breakfast, we didn't get a baby chair, which is a basic requirement for family friendly hotels. Furthermore, the parasol on our terrace was broken... hanging to the left side. We asked for support to fix it and also agreed to repair the parasol the next day. Unfortunately, nobody came during our stay and fixed the parasol and we couldn't sit at the terrace.

I booked two nights at Pineapple Boutique Hotel in Cape Town and unfortunately it turned into a very stressful stay. There was a serious electrical failure in my room. Throughout the entire night the ALL ROOM LIGHTS kept switching on automatically every five minutes. Imagine going from complete darkness to full bright light again and again — each time I woke up with a racing heartbeat, not knowing whether someone had entered the room. Because this is a boutique hotel, there is no night reception and no staff available to assist, so I had absolutely no one to help me resolve the problem. In the end I was forced to sleep with the lights on for the whole night. What made the situation worse was the response from the owners. Instead of acknowledging the failure and taking responsibility, they insisted it was not their fault. Additionally, one of the swimming pools was dirty and cloudy, and during breakfast the kitchen staff cleaned the tables with strong spray chemicals while food was still on the table. I expected a relaxing boutique experience, but the lack of assistance and poor handling of the complaint made this a very disappointing stay.

Great place! The staff is really nice and take care for everything to make your stay perfect. Always smiling. Really nice people. The rooms are perfect, quiet. And the location is good. The place to stay in Cape town. Enjoy the city. We love it!

What a gem of a hotel!!! The interior design is just perfect!! The location is great and the staff so nice. Travolta and Lawrence were extremely helpful and planned everything for us. Breakfast also amazing. Honestly, everything (except perhaps the espresso but they are working on it hehe) was 10/10. Perfection
