Pineapple Inn Maui

This was our 4th time staying at the Pineapple Inn and it feels like paradise every time! Even the most expensive hotels in Wailea can't compare with the lovely bird filled garden around the pool. While there are three other guest rooms and a cottage on the property, the place feels like your own private oasis. We first found it mentioned as a "Best Value" on Maui years ago in a a guide book, and after one stay, we could see why. We're never tempted to stay anywhere else! Angie who managed the place during three of our stays has also always managed to make us feel like family--giving us wonderful suggestions and helping us out with various travel issues. We've been lucky enough to stay at a lot of nice hotels in a lot of lovely places, but for us--none have the magic of the Pineapple Inn!

The Pineapple Inn is perfection owned by some of the kindest people I’ve ever met! There are several different room sizes for whatever you are looking for; the Cottage was like having your own apartment with full kitchen. The area is private from the masses of travelers. Large/ample parking area that was secluded and safe. Stunning yard with the most fabulous local birds and pool area to lounge and relax. Gave you a feeling of a fancy luxury resort but with only a few guests. Clean grill at pool side. Washer and dryer available to use as well. One of those places you don’t really want to tell people about because you always want it to be available for yourself!!! Absolutely would return!

Delightful! Cordial hosts, good location, and thoughtfully comfortable room made staying here wonderful. The refrigerator was very well stocked with breakfast goods - including my requested yogurt. Any questions I had during my stay were quickly answered and when I had a minor issue with my rental car, there were there to help. Recommendations for local eats were excellent. ||If I ever visit Maui again, Pineapple Inn would be my first choice for the stay.

Our stay at the Pineapple Inn was the cherry on top for our stay in Maui !|The property is absolutely gorgeous! Every where we looked it was breathtaking!|I could spend hours just watching the many colorful birds there... Java Finches, Peach-faced Lovebirds, Red-Crested Cardinals, and more. Mark is such a delightful person and an incredible host as well, including leaving wonderful treats in the fridge for our mornings there. The entire stay could not have been better!!!

The Pineapple Tin was tremendous. The hosts, Angie and Ty, were excellent, welcoming, and kind. The room was perfectly appointed. The hosts had thought of everything to my our stay easy and memorable. 5/5 stars. We loved the privacy and beautiful backyard.

This place is a magical oasis. Mark is a generous host. Attention to detail was given when creating the grounds, rooms and lanais. I did not want our stay to end. The sunsets from the lanai are truly breathtaking! I cannot wait until we stay there again. The Pineapple Inn is top notch!!

We loved the Pineapple Inn. We stayed at a variety of places on our trip (from resorts to rental homes) and this was the best. Clean, well stocked room and gorgeous property. Close to beaches, restaurants, shopping. Excellent value. Beach equipment available to borrow. Beautiful pool area with hot tub. Loved being on our lanai and watching the birds and the sunsets. Mark and Steve were amazing hosts.

Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite match the positive reviews. We encountered ongoing issues with bugs during our stay, and found communication with Angie to be slow at times. We had to vacate our room on two occasions for spraying, which was inconvenient, especially without much notice. After one treatment, we returned to find a terse note about not leaving food out--though we'd only left a sealed soda bottle on the counter. The bug issue worsened throughout the week, and by the end of our stay, I was finding bugs in my makeup bag and personal belongings. On the morning of checkout, I received several texts from Angie asking us to allow pest control into the room, which added stress as we were trying to pack and leave. That said, the property itself is lovely--beautiful grounds, peaceful surroundings, and well-maintained outdoor areas. With clearer expectations and more responsive communication, this could be a great place to stay. For us, the experience didn't quite meet that bar.

Found this place online....had to do a drive by....looks great. Even from the front.....likely check into getting a spot to stay next year

Mark and Steve have created a true oasis at The Pineapple Inn with gorgeous landscaping, cute rooms, and an incredible pool. The fridges are stocked with thoughtful snacks and breakfast options, and the price is an INCREDIBLE value for what you get. This is truly a hidden gem in an amazing location with the best hosts ever, who even helped us with a last minute tech issue we were experiencing for our wedding! They're the best and we will definitely be back!

have been coming to Maui for over 40 years and Pineapple Inn is one of the nicest places I've stayed in. It's about a 5 minute drive to Elua beach which has amazing snorkeling and another block or so youre at the Shops at Wailea. If you don't mind being right on the beach then this is the perfect spot. The grounds are impeccably kept and the pool area is as good or better than Ekahi or Elua. The view from the Wailea room is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The food in the fridge is amazing as well and lots of it. Mark was a wonderful host and was always there to answer questions. He really went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. I will for sure be coming back to Pineapple Inn! Mahalo nui loa for the wonderful experience

Aloha! The Pineapple Inn Maui is such a gorgeous place. We stayed in the Wailea room on the 2nd story. It was perfect for my hubby & I. The room is beautifully decorated, spacious, has a nice bathroom, and lovely balcony to watch the amazing sunsets . There is a mini refrigerator stocked up with fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt and our fave Hawaiian sodas. It was also nice to have a cute welcome basket with yummy goodies such as the chocolate macadamia nuts candy box. We met the owners Mark & Steve and they are very gracious hosts,. We utilized the fabulous pool, hot tub and the putting green one evening and it was all perfect. Very well kept and 5 stars all the way. When I come back to Maui I will definitely stay here again!! Mahalo!!

We love The Pineapple Inn Maui! Such a lovely piece of Paradise! It is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but its extensive lovely landscaping--flowers, greenery and towering palms--creates a spectacular private haven. The backyard pool is so gorgeous and it is the perfect temperature and a perfect size! The majestic palm trees stretch overhead, against the blue Maui sky, and we often were the only ones in the pool. My husband saw five new birds on his life list at the feeder near our lanai. Mark and Steve are the best hosts and they immediately take care of any little glitch. The Pineapple Inn is in a perfect location, where we can drive five minutes to have a meal at the fancy resorts at Wailea and then go back to our own special escape. We have gone to Maui three times over the years and we have stayed at The Pineapple Inn all three times. We have been delighted with The Pineapple Inn each time and we plan to stay there any time we go to Maui! Perfection!

We will absolutely stay here again! Great location, peaceful, quiet, and well cared-for. Way better than staying in a big hotel, and way better than a house rental.

THE PERFECT place to relax and get ready for your day or night out in Kihei or Wailea. Five mins to the beach and easy access to anywhere you wish to drive on Maui. Great hosts and beautiful environment and gardens. Mahalo for the beautiful hospitality!

The Pineapple Inn is a gem of a place. So special in fact that you want to keep it a secret because the place is so perfect! Why? Well it's within a mile to some of the best beaches and it's perfect for those who want quiet solitude during the day or evening. The inn is kept small for a limited amount of guests. The guests we met were respectful and friendly. There is a pool and hot tub, along with other stunning plants, flowers, birds, etc. The price is affordable and you can use the summer kitchen for cooking some of your meals. Breakfast foods are stocked in the fridg with choices. Mark and Steve are the loviest welcoming couple and their love for nature, their home, property, respect for guests is top notch. We will be back (as long as rooms are still available ).

This is a beautiful, boutique BnB, located in a neighborhood away from all the larger resorts. The grounds are stunning and the views are amazing! A pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen are available for guests. They also provided everything else we needed such as sunscreen, beach chairs and towels, and breakfast items to enjoy in our room each morning. We absolutely loved everything about this location, and even though it was away from the big resorts, it was only a 5-minute drive from restaurants and beaches nearby. Thank you Mark for sharing your special inn with us!

This is a clean and lovely place to stay at. It has a very well maintained yard which is a botanical garden by itself. The rooms and the hallways are beautifully designed. Everything looks aesthetically pleasing. The pool is nice and clean in a cozy corner along with a big hot tub. You would find the fridge fully stacked with food including bagel, muffin, fruit, juice, yogurt and of course cream cheese, jam and butter and they don't mind providing more if you go through it all . Also the staff was very welcoming and nice. We arrived 3 hours early and they let us check in. Thank you Mark for creating this great experience for us.

Loved this inn. Why? Well, let me tell you. Clean. Inviting. Cozy. Lovely premises. Pool. Hot tub. Breakfast. EXcellent hosts. I almost don't want to write this review of this hidden gem because it is an utter delight. Rooms are a tad small compared to resorts. But you get the coziness that leaves you in a total rested state.

Wow! Our trip to Maui was awesome and we couldn't have asked for a better stay other than the Pineapple Inn. It was paradise in hotel form. The grounds included an incredible lush Hawaiian garden atmosphere with a pool, hot tub, lounge area and ocean views where you could relax in privacy and unwind after daily island excursions. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage that was super clean and comfy with every amenity that you would need. We loved making coffee and a light breakfast in the morning and enjoying it on our patio before heading out for the day. It was so nice to meet Angie and Ty and get their tips on their favorite spots and things to do on the island. They were so helpful and available with anything we needed throughout our stay. They were also stocked full of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and everything you need for a perfect beach day!! We were so glad to find a place with such affordable and reasonable rates in such a unique vacation residence. We will be recommending the Pineapple Inn to all our family and friends and to anyone looking for the absolute BEST place to stay in Maui! Aloha!

If you love lush tropical gardens, singing birds, Hawaiian music, peace and tranquility, privacy, saltwater pool, views of the ocean, welcoming and attentive staff, you'll love Pineapple Inn. We never wanted to leave the property - we were enchanted with the paradise that Mark and his partner created. There are so many conveniences and extra little perks that are provided during your stay that make you feel as comfortable as being at home. We felt blessed to have found this hidden gem during our visit to Maui!

The view was stunning from the 2nd floor in our Wailea room. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were amazing to use. There was also a kitchen with a microwave and fridge / basket full of food for us, made us feel super welcome.

My husband and I had a memorable stay here. Mark is a wonderful host and gave us great recommendations and tips for the area. We loved every aspect of Pineapple Inn. We stayed in the Molokini room, which has a view of the beautiful gardens and pool. The grounds here are absolutely gorgeous, and my favorite part of our stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful early morning hours on the lanai while watching the birds at the feeders. It was so hard to leave at the end of our trip, and I can't wait to return!

5 years after our first stay we returned!! As awesome as it was the first time we stayed. Mark and Steve know how to make the stay fabulous. Stocked fridge with breakfast items. A welcome basket too. Coolers, beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards for use your entire stay. Even a coin op washer and drier! Awesome pool and hot tub area. They even have a grill you can use! Beautiful property. Exceeded my expectations! It's a tropical paradise from the moment you enter the grounds. Serene and beautiful are apt descriptions of this property. Sunset views over the water were a plus. The manager was very nice and extremely helpful. Room was comfortable (best bed and pillows I slept on of the 4 places I stayed in Hawaii) and stocked with goodies. Location was central to most of Maui. I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again without hesitation.

This was our third stay at the Pineapple Inn and it is beautiful as always. Accommodations are top notch. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious with a private lanai. The grounds.......... stunning does not even begin to describe them. Such a peaceful stay on Maui.

This place is a hidden gem in Maui. My wife and I stayed at all the big hotels and this place beats them all. Mark is attentive to his guests and strives to make your stay here a great experience. The grounds are a tropical paradise, spa, pool and miniature golf. Highly recommended!

We've stayed at the Pineapple Inn a few times - in one of the rooms in the main building, and most recently in the adorable 2-bedroom cottage. This B&B is a treat in and of itself on Maui. It has this lush garden with a saline pool, hot tub, and beautiful view of the rolling hills and ocean. The owners are super friendly and hospitable. The inn is stocked with a lot of what you need, like sunscreen, toiletries., beach toys & boogie boards, etc. It's close to some great beaches in Kihei and the shops at Wailea. Highly recommend!

This location near Kihei is perfect for getting around the island. But don't overlook the beautiful beaches and enticing restaurants nearby. As for the Inn itself, it is an exceptional value on an expensive island. Mark and Steve are there as resources, but they are unobtrusive if you are looking to chill. The grounds are lovely. Pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, grill. You can be happy staying on the property. Each unit has a well stocked fridge. Washer, dryer, and beach paraphernalia are easy to access. The rooms have good climate control, comfortable beds, and a kitchenette for do it yourselfers. It is a B and B. Where is the breakfast? It turns out to be against the law to serve one on Maui. So this inn is everything a B and B should be, while staying within the law.

I really loved staying here. The entrance to the inn is gorgeous, with a path that leads past super tall trees and plants. It's beautiful. I stayed in the Lanai. It was well stocked with chocolates (yes, I devoured them immediately), muffins, and oatmeal, and a bunch of other tasty foods and snacks. The room and bathroom were all neat and comfy. I loved the balcony that, like the entrance, was covered in beautiful greenery and plant-life. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and around the bird feed was great. The pool area, grilling space, mini golf space and hot tub all felt like an oasis. Shout out to Angie for being a lovely host. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful intimate accommodation away from the busy area of Kihei but conveniently located to fantastic beaches and restaurants. You can see the pride in ownership that is displayed throughout. Our room was so comfortable, clean, and well maintained and with quality features and fixtures throughout, it had everything we needed. It's truly the most comfortable bed I've slept in, I'm very picky. There really aren't enough positive comments to give about the grounds, which are beautiful and comfortable. We had gorgeous sunsets from our lanai where we enjoyed the provided breakfast items each day. The fan above the bed provided plenty of cool air, we are often too hot in the evening. Appreciated use of a cooler and beach towels. Mark and Steve are so friendly and were there to chat, answer questions or provide anything we needed, but also were fine to allow us as much privacy as we desired. Perhaps my favorite feature was "the magic hamper" where I could leave towels as I needed them replaced or leave notes for other items I might need and watch clean towels and all other requests magically appear! There is traffic noise from the busy piilani highway, but you can't hear it at all in the room and you are able to easily tune it out it this oasis. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

What a delightful place to stay! Mark could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Their inn is beautiful and the garden rivals most botanical gardens. The room was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Would have loved to stay longer. Definitely recommend staying here. Their website pictures don't do it justice. They are 2 mins from Kihei and some incredible snorkeling. From there about an hour and a half to Haleakala. Great location to explore West Maui.

It is a paradise indeed. You feel right at home when you first step into this gorgeous property. As Loren, the owner said, it's different being in a condo. We love the hospitality and morning little chat in the garden before heading out to our adventure. Room is spotless, amenities abundant and thoughtful. Angie is definitely so accommodating for all our needs. Thank you! We had very good time here. We would recommend to every of our friends and families.

The Pineapple Inn was a perfect place for our babymoon. The rooms were clean, the stocked fridge of breakfast fixings were perfect for eating on the lanai, and walking through the garden every day was so relaxing. The location was perfect for checking out different beaches and finding delicious food in Kihei; additionally, the free beach gear (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.) were super useful and in great condition (much better than renting from a shop). Mark was really nice and accommodating; we had a great time chatting with him briefly. We will definitely be back!

The Pineapple Inn Maui is paradise on earth!!!! I LOVE the Pineapple Inn and cannot wait to return!!! The gardens are so beautiful and relaxing. The owners are so kind and warm. The view was gorgeous. The cottage was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Everything about the Pineapple Inn is perfect.

The Pineapple Inn was perfect for our stay in Maui. Every detail was meticulous! The kitchenette with a stocked fridge was ideal for making breakfast prior to adventurous days. We enjoyed eating on the lanai, overlooking the pool and greenery. Mark and Steve were amazing hosts, and we loved getting to meet the dog Indie! It was also really appreciated to be able to borrow beach equipment and a cooler. We would 10/10 recommend.

EVERY SINGLE THING about this inn is FABULOUS! We loved our stay there in every way. Room very nice and comfortable. The kitchenette was fully stocked with more than we expected. Not to mention anytime you ran out of something you just had to request more. Property was beautiful! It really is 5 star without the price of the 5 star resorts right there in Wailea. We were able to enjoy ocean views right from our balcony on the 2nd floor, as well as the beautiful tropical grounds and pool below with a putting green and so many tropical birds to watch. We were able to Uber all over Wailea and Kihei for very little and used our rental for longer drives. Every time we used the pool, which is so beautiful and tropical, we were the only ones there. No people, no kids screaming. It was all ours to float and relax. We were also able to Uber the the Four Seasons in a couple of minutes to use the Wailea beach or walk the path to all the resorts, stopping at each to eat or drink, which we did frequently. There is nothing I can say that is negative in any way! We highly recommend and desperately want to go back! If only it wasn't so far away.

This was the first place we stayed on our trip to Maui and it exceeded our expectations! Angie and Ty were great hosts and the property is very charming and well maintained. We loved having breakfast stocked in our refrigerator so we could enjoy it at our preferred time. The Inn feels very private and quiet, but you're also very close to beaches, restaurants, and the highway so it's very convenient. I also appreciated having access to beach towels, umbrellas and boogie boards so we didn't have to rent/but them. We can't wait to stay here again on our next trip to Maui!

The Pineapple Inn is simply the best place I've ever stayed. The room (and entire property) was so clean, comfortable, relaxing, and inviting - and the beautiful location in Kihei goes without saying! The fridge stocked with local snacks was especially thoughtful and delicious as well. Our only regret was that we didn't stay there longer! If you're on the fence about staying at the Pineapple Inn, DO IT! I can't recommend it highly enough, and can't wait to go back again someday.

This is a great place to stay. Mark and Steve always look after their guests. From filling our refrigerator with snacks and breakfast items when our flight was delayed, to making sure we had what we needed to make it through back to back hurricanes. During Covid we were able to adjust our schedules when we didn't feel comfortable visiting the islands. We have stayed with them many times over the years and never been disappointed. It is like coming home.

This place is charming with all the extra touches. The rooms are beautiful as are the entire grounds. And it's all tucked into a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything! But once you see the gardens and pool with an ocean view, you may not want to venture any farther.

The Pineapple Inn is wonderful. Peaceful, with a great view. A great location for getting everywhere on Maui. The grounds are amazingly landscaped. You can't beat chocolate waiting for you when you arrive. We hope to get back there soon.

We had a pleasant stay at Pineapple Inn. The owners really know how to treat their guest with all of the amenities. The location is good and the high end outdoor area is top notch. Relaxing at the pool, hot tub, and grill were nice to have each evening. We will visit again.

We were hesitant to write this review because we'd prefer to keep this gem a secret ... but ... fine ... WOW! This was our first trip to Maui and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. The Inn is gorgeous, sitting on the most beautiful grounds we encountered all trip. Be prepared to walk into a serene, idyllic oasis, the only downside being that you know eventually you'll have to leave. Hawaiian music plays as you take a dip in the refreshing saltwater pool or watch the sunset from the jacuzzi or make friends with the frogs and lizards while drinking your morning coffee on the lanai. The owners, too, are absolutely delightful, making you feel right at home. The location is excellent, in a pretty local neighborhood a short drive from the best beaches, our favorite shave ice stop and good restaurants and food trucks. We loved getting takeout and enjoying it under the stars. It is the perfect place for a taste of Maui, not to mention ideal for COVID times, and we can't wait to return.

Paradise! If you want to enjoy the beauty of this island without the same old same old big box hotel with 1,200 rooms that all look the same and charge you extra for an ocean view....come here! The cottages are lovely and clean, so clean. I came down with a cold/flu type thing and spent some time inside during our holiday and I have to say I would have been clawing at the walls in a standard hotel but here I feel as comfortable as if I were at home. I loved the breakfast treats and the impeccable grounds. The owners/hosts are hospitable and you can tell the pride they take in their business. I know why they named it The Pineapple Inn. Not because pineapples are abundant in Hawaii but because it is the traditional symbol of "Welcome." Perfect name for a perfect place.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Pineapple Inn in south Maui for five days and had a wonderful time. The rates were reasonable. We don't really need alot of hand-holding when we travel but we do want a clean, cozy room sleep in and the Pineapple Inn delivered. Our room included a kitchenette along with fresh fruit, kona coffee, juice, bagels and muffins. We ate breakfast on our lanai and watched the sunrise every morning. The garden and landscaping of the property was professional and amazing. Also on the property are a saline swimming pool and a hot tub with a nice view. The whole property was quiet and we were never disturbed by others during our stay. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Check out the site for pictures of the place. They are really accurate.

I am not going to lie I was initially a little apprehensive about a B and B in Maui, I am a bit of a hotel snob and was already planning to do our pool days at a resort. However, we wanted something different for the remainder of our trip that was a bit more local. This was it!!! This place is absolutely amazing!! Mark and Steve the owners do an amazing job with the place. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable. We stayed upstairs and had an absolutely stunning ocean view. The rooms have a kitchenette that they stock with breakfast and goodies. When we would run into Mark and Steve they would stop to chat see how our stay is going and give us local advice, best places to eat or snorkel. Overall an amazing experience if you are looking for something a little different in Maui stay here you will not be dissapointed.

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The garden area around the pool is just stellar. I couldn't be more relaxed! Will DEFINITELY stay here whenever I visit Maui.

My daughter and I wanted a quiet retreat in Maui after a week cruising the islands and at the cottage at Pineapple Inn we found heaven on earth. Located in the Maui Meadows neighborhood, the Inn has a main building with four rooms and the separate cottage with two bedrooms, full-size, fully-stocked kitchen, and a private deck with gas grill. The cottage is spotless and perfectly furnished. But that's only the beginning! A short walk through lush gardens led to the laundry ($1 W/D) and pool with grill, fridge, ice machine, and sink. We always had the pool to ourselves; there are only four other rooms and we rarely saw other guests. Staying here is like being on an episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous! We found it hard to leave the PI but being minutes from great beaches, one must leave at some point! We were delighted to find a store of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, ice chests, and pretty much any beach toy you can imagine (note your economy rental car will not hold a surf board!). The only thing that could top a fantastic day at the beach is the sunset view from the pool and hot tub, a cool beverage, and grilling up dinner. We saved about $100/day not eating out although we had pizza delivered one night ($40 incl tip). Mahalo Pineapple Inn for the best vacation EVER!!!

Had the best stay at the Pineapple Inn. This is a gem of a place...tropical gorgeous landscaping, clean and well appointed rooms with views, quiet and peaceful plus close to everything. Would definitely return here for another stay.

I can't get over my stay at Pineapple Inn; I think about it frequently although I've not visited in six months. I had the best time, the room was great, the hospitality was top notch. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

When my now-wife and I were searching for the place to enjoy our honeymoon in Maui we looked at several hotels and decided that we wanted something a little more intimate than a crowded Resort... So my wife started searching for places. She came up Upon the pineapple Inn and from the beginning the owner was super helpful and very friendly. Once we got here it was even better than I could have imagined. The setting is amazing and as there are only a few rooms at the inn we have had the pool and hot tub mostly to ourselves the whole time we are here. It is surrounded by beautiful flowers, palm trees, lights at night...
