Pines Inn & Suites

My wife and I would definitely stay at the Pines again. It's not cheap but not bad compared to the local alternatives, you can get a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and microwave, it's quiet, and it's close to a Fry's grocery. The property including our room was clean and well-maintained. One caveat : if you stay upstairs you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Loved this Inn! Super clean rooms. Friendly Service and convenient location to shops, dining, and winery tastings. Highly recommend supporting this woman-owned business. Bonus points: Free Tesla Charging available for guests! Noticed other chargers available for EV cars too.

The place is well equipped and very clean. It is comfortable, the TV worked well and a lot of thought has gone into providing information to the customer. The person on the desk seemed irritated by us and didn't speak to us respectfully. It was this bad feeling which spoilt what would have been a great stay.

Wasn’t expecting much being a local motel in a small town, but the rooms were very clean and staff was nice. They don’t offer breakfast, but there are plenty of options nearby. We would definitely stay here again. We had a regular room and a suite. Both were well maintained.

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel in the last few years and it has exceeded my expectations both times. The room is always clean and quiet and the bed is very comfortable. The front desk staff is nice too. It's a quick drive to downtown Cottonwood which is what we prefer. I will continue to stay here as they are very proud of their facility and we have been comfortable here.

Pleasant surprise. When checked in got upgraded to apartment unit which was clean, roomy, no carpet (yeah) and very comfortable with full kitchen . The bed was great with no morning backaches. You need car as not walkable to Old Town. Accepts dogs but really no dog potty area. Pool was enjoyable. Access to great cold drinking water. Easy drives all over Verde valley wineries, golf, Sedona and restaurants.

I loved staying here! It was a perfect location for two of the best (?) hikes in the area (Devil's Bridge and Cathedral Rock). It was clean, quiet, had a good vibe and I was able to do laundry! Carol at the front desk was great and added to the positive experience that I had. I enjoyed chatting with her. Would definitely stay again.

What a fabulous find for a few nights' stay in the Cottonwood area. We give Pines Inn a 5 star! There's no comparing them to the chains, because they are far and above superior. The owners are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was extremely clean, quiet and cool, the king-sized bed so incredible I wanted to take it home! Location can't be beat for Old Town shopping, Verde Canyon Train ride, Sedona, and Jerome. If we return to the area, we will absolutely stay here again!

It was nice,we were going to Sedona for our Anniversary. We were in between Sedona and Grand Canyon.

Pet & eco friendly, cost-efficient, and convenient for all your Arizona needs, The Pines Inn & Suites (formerly Pines Motel, not to be mistaken for Motel in the Pines) is the only place I'd choose to stay when visiting Sedona. To Sedona, the Pines Inn & Suites is ONLY a 20 min drive. In addition, there are plenty of grocery stores, fast food joints, gas stations and more conveniently located near this lodging. The Pines Inn & Suites is locally owned by Cory & Marta who are the absolute sweetest. They are super relaxed and friendly. Cory also owns a real estate agency next door, so if you're looking for a new home in the area, why not stop in? We had our pups with us (apologies to Marta, Cory, and our neighbors for the loud howling & yapping by our husky, maltese, and poodle) and though they only have a pet limit of 2, they were gracious enough to allow us to stay. If you are also a pet parent, here are a few guidelines: $20 pet fee+ $5/night (it's a steal if you ask me), limit of 2 pets, and pet/s can only be allowed in the room unsupervised if they are well-behaved and for a maximum of 2 hours. If you receive noise complaints like we did, they will call you first, and will proceed to enter the room to keep your kids in the office. Benefits of the room: clean, includes a microwave, fridge, and coffee machine, and if you're a bit quirky like me, I judge a room a lot by the sheets, and yes, the sheets are comfy! Also, the touch of organic products and makeup removers were heaven sent. Only downside is: if you have iron feet or are incredibly clumsy, your first floor neighbor/s will hear you if you reside on the second floor. Otherwise, THANK YOU MARTA & CORY for your hospitality & kindness to us & our kids.

Garbage wi-fi made for a garbage stay. I was planning to work semi-remotely during my visit, and the connection kept giving out and dropping for days. Not to mention my phone and other equipment. Stinks!

They welcomed us with a free upgrade, and it only got better from there. The pet-friendly apartment was beautiful and roomy, w dog treats on the table and thoughtful touches everywhere. We've stayed at many suites, but never at one that managed to provide Literally Everything, including earth-friendly tp. Unbelievable. The salt-water pool was delicious, the staff never failed to spoil our terrier, and the location was optimal for all our destinations. Stay there, and I bet you'll be the next one to write a rave review!

It was a great stay, clean with several amenities. I wanted to stay an extra night but all rooms were booked. 20 min drive to Sedona, convenient place to stay without overspending for hotels in Sedona. One of the guests was loud, a lot of banging on the door but that's unavoidable. Other then that everything was great. Should have a higher rating! I was surprised to see a roll of paper towels in the room in addition to filtered water in the lobby. Great amenities!

I recently stayed at The Pines, a small, family-run inn, in Cottonwood, Arizona. My friends and I were delighted with the comfortable, clean rooms, and we could tell that a great deal of care had been invested to accommodate travelers: extra blankets, easy-to-operate air conditioning, a small fridge, a microwave, natural cleaning products. The owner/manager could not have been more hospitable and helpful. For a quiet, restful stay in Cottonwood, The Pines is the perfect place.

I made reservations for three to stay at Pines Inn and Suites by calling directly, but I misunderstood about the accommodations. When we arrived and the reservation was not what I thought I booked, it was taken care of immediately. We were so impressed with the quick resolution. This place is a little gem. The rooms are super clean and have numerous amenities you don't expect to find in a hotel or motel in a small town like Cottonwood. There were safety bars in the tub, instant hot water, wall mounted soap pumps in the dressing area and bathroom, a small refrigerator for food and drinks, numerous bed pillows for individual comfort, and the place is very quiet. I would highly recommend the Pines Inn. Convenient place to stay when riding the Verde Canyon Railroad, visiting Sedona, exploring the Out of Africa Zoo, or just sightseeing in the surrounding area.

Wow what a heck of a place to stay ! I rented the apartment with two full bedrooms, two bathrooms, private balconies with two private entrances. Loved this place and how close it was to everything. Full kitchen with walk in pantry.

Only needed a simple place for one night that would take pets. The place was perfect. It looks like a standard motel, but everything is perfectly maintained. Our room was on the first floor with parking immediately in front, so unpacking the car and handling the dogs was a breeze. The room was relatively small, but it had everything you could need and was very well organized. The bed was a king and very comfortable. The television worked very well and there was a good selection of channels. The room itself was immaculate. The front desk help was very friendly and provided some treats for the dogs and a blanket or throw to cover the bed and protect it if they were Furniture prone. All in all, it was perfect. I only give it four stars because it was a simple motel. But that is no knock. It was one of the nicer simple motels I have experienced. Also, although we did not use it, there is a pool, and although the building is close to the main street, it is set back half a block or so and we noticed no problem at all with noise. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a simple motel, five stars out of five.

The place was perfect. We only needed a simple place for one night that would take pets. it looks like a standard motel, but everything is perfectly maintained. The room was comfortable enough. We had two queen beds, a tiny table. Our room was on the first floor with parking immediately in front, so unpacking the car and handling the dogs was a breeze. The WiFi did not work at first. With a little difficulty, we got the person on duty to reset the router then the wifi worked.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our trip to explore the Sedona area. We chose this area as it's only 15 mins away from Sedona but far enough away to be out of the tourist traffic. Our room was very clean and even though we arrived a little early, the staff made sure our room was ready and was able to accommodate our arrival. Dish TV worked great, as did the fridge and microwave. Room layout is good. There's an ice machine available and also ONE washer and dryer that accepts quarters only. Thankfully, change is available at the front desk. If you forgot anything, there's a Walmart 5 mins away. My wife and I do plan on a return trip and this will be our lodging. 5 Stars !

Fantastic, smaller inn! Staff was friendly and attentive, there's a seasonal salt water pool, a gazebo with picnic tables and grill, and a fountain where you can refill your water bottles with filtered water. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and included a kitchenette, which was great for saving some money on meals! The location is good: close to restaurants, stores, and the uptown, but set back from the road, so it's quiet. Will definitely stay here again!

I'm writing this while sitting in the living room of the suite because this place, and Martha, is incredible! We needed to get in before 3 to change and get to a wedding, Martha called to let us know that they could accommodate that request. The apartment has a private courtyard, a patio, plenty of space for our teens to spread out and have privacy from the grown ups. We were able to host my family extended family for a very comfortable gathering to chat and catch up after the wedding dance. It was nice to leave an air conditioned place in the afternoon and return to the warmth of a preset thermostat. If we ever get back this way, we'll definitely stay again!

We had a great time in Cottonwood The Pines Motel was excellent...the room was great. Very clean .... The owners was very receptive ..answered our questions And give us ideas what to see... Enjoyed ourselves...

Place was nicely located and very clean. Away from hustle and bustle of Sedona but only. 15 minutes away. Room was a decent size and bed was comfortable. There during the basketball conference championship week and the DISH network had every game which was a bonus. We would stay here again

What's not to love when one finds a motel that is very clean, modern, eco- friendly, quiet, centrally located, accepts pets, courteous and efficient sign in. All this and a REASONABLE price. I appreciated all the easy plug-ins for all the electronic devises as well. When in Cottonwood, I will always stay at the Pines.

Rude staff, invasive and disgusting. Dry pee on the toilet seat, hair on the bathroom floor and disgusting stench. I wish I would have listened when I was told to stay away. Pay the extra $100 and go somewhere nice, that is what I did.

Stead two nites. The were able to change our original reservation for one night to two, by moving us to a different room. Pool is salt water, has a washer and dryer Staff is both efficient and friendly

A great place to stay! We planned a trip to Out of Africa, Tuzigoot, Jerome and Cottonwood. This motel was a perfect central location to all of them. I spoke with the owners, Martha and Cory at separate times on the phone prior to our arrival. Both were very helpful and pleasant to talk with. Although we did not see Cory, Martha and the rest of the staff were very nice and courteous. We loved the water bottle refill station in the office. Cory is quite the photographer and has some great images in the rooms as well as in the office. Our room was clean and the mini fridge actually could hold food. There were multiple outlets for all of our devices to charge. We were glad that we chose this motel, and I would highly recommend staying here.

I have stayed here several times, and every time I check out I say to myself, "I am definitely staying here again." The rooms are clean, fresh, and welcoming. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker. They have a laundry available for guests. All the people are friendly. I paid $74 for one night. Really. Where else can you go to such a great place for that. If you are visiting anywhere in the Verde Valley or Sedona this an affordable place to stay. Cottonwood is great too!

Still a great place to stay & have returned a few times now. Every time we are here we notice little improvements & rooms are always kept up to date, clean & it's a nice, comfortable & quiet place to stay. It's a great spot if you want to hit other towns in the area...or all of them, which we usually do. It's nicely located where everything is about 25-30 min away (Camp Verde, Sedona, Prescott). We always enjoy our stay here.

We would definitely stay here again! -Clean -Quiet -Convenient to Cottonwood, Jerome, Sedona and Camp Verde. -Attentive management -Organic coffee and shampoo -Great parking -Awesome views - covered grill and picnic table with a view -Clean and convenient laundry -Gorgeous, clean pool with a great view Two recommendations -Consider a new cleaning solution. There was a smell similar to clorox in our room. It swelled clean, but was a bit overpowering until after the ac ran for a couple of hours. -Continental breakfast would be nice, even if it's just apples, small cinnamon rolls and coffee. This is the first place we have stopped in 7 days that didn't have one and they also had a minifrg and microwaves.

We had vehicle troubles near Cottonwood so we stayed a night at The Pines Motel. We called around to various hotels/motels near where our car was going to be worked on, and although The Pines was one of the more "expensive", it was also the "cleanest" and the best rated. The manager was able to get us 15% off our stay, and was super nice to us. We will definitely stay here again, when we come visit up north. Thanks again!

Booked room last minute on holiday weekend and was very pleasantly surprised. Grounds were well maintained. Check in was fast and easy. Room was clean, with at little kitchenette. Room was a good size, nice big tv, and lots of pillows. I do wish there was a security door guard lock for the door, we stayed with a small child and door was easily opened.

This was a great value. My family of 4 stayed for 4 nights during the Thanksgiving holiday. We stayed in the 2 Queen room with kitchenette. The updated rooms were roomy and clean, the shower has great water pressure and the staff was super nice and friendly. The kids enjoyed their daily hot chocolate and my husband & I enjoyed the free morning coffee. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus: we were contacted by the staff a few weeks after our stay asking if we left something in the room. My youngest left the iPad there, we thought she misplaced it. I let the staff know we may have left the iPad & described the case. They had it! I am so impressed that weeks later someone contacted us to give us this great news! What an amazing, honest staff. Thank you, Pines Motel, for making our stay comfortable and for being so honest & forthright! Looking forward to our next visit!

one of my favorite hotels so far. its reasonably priced close to where i wanna be. near the downtown area. close to the winery. it has great restarunts around it. the rooms are clean and a nice size. the front desk has been helpful with answering questions. ive stayed at 2 other places so far this is my fav.

Great value and amenities bar be que patio and kitchenette for the same price as a hotel room elsewhere. Stay here!

Great place. The Grand Suite was perfect for our family of four plus our fur baby. Dog friendly. Good rooms and service. 5 Stars all around. Nothing bad to say bout this place. We missed the salt water pool since it was winter so my husband wished they had a hot tub.

This was a reasonable room for the price. Nothing special or outstanding, but it was clean and decent. I would recommend it if you're not looking for anything fancy and just need a place to sleep.

It's a nice little family owned motel. Very clean and quiet place, the rooms are comfy and the price is very affordable. The manager went above and beyond to help us check-in few hours earlier as we had to go on the train at 1pm. Staff were very friendly. The rooms have a mini kitchen as well with a good size fridge and a little microwave also a coffee maker. Very happy with my stay and will definitely stay here agin in the future.

This is a great family owned Motel! We will stay here next time we come to town. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The room are very clean and you call see the owners take great pride in the property. The rooms are updated and wonderful plus great location to down town and highways to Sedona, Jerome and Oak Creek Valley. We had a problem after hours and the staff was right there and took care of us right away! They were very helpful and accommodating. I can't say enough about our wonderful stay and the treatment we received. Thank you!! Please note *we liked it so much our one night there we decided to stay another night!!

Stayed here for one night with my friends and everything this motel offered was great. Staff was very friendly. Easy access to the surrounding areas and easy access for the amenities the motel offered. Wonderful beds. Enough plugs and usb spots for all electronics. Microwave, iron/ironing board, and mini fridge. If needing utensils, just ask the staff. Extra blankets for colder weather. Storage space to fit all your belongings. Only one minor complaint , the walls are a little thin so when a loud patron was talking outside our window on the phone at 630AM we could hear him loud and clear even after we shut our window. It didn't make much difference.

Definitely a nice place to stay. The big hit was make up wipes provided in the bathroom. Happy women makes for a happy trip. My only complaint was the beds in the two queen room. They are hard and old but still would stay here again.

This family owned hotel was such a pleasant surprise to find in Cortonwood! Very convenient location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and incredibly gracious staff. I'll be heading to Cottonwood more often now that I know where to stay!

If your looking for a decent, clean, reasonably room this is it. You can also have pets here. I generally don't stay in motels. However, I didn't want to over pay for the area so I choose The Pines. The staff is very friendly and accommodating they have all the basic essentials. The only thing I would suggest to people who want to stay here is to bring your own pillows as with most places the pillows usually stink. Easy access to get everywhere.

I travel a lot for my work and this place is one of the nicest rooms i'v had for a fair price! The room is beautiful and the beds are soo comfy. The staff was really friendly and I felt like they wanted me here not just my money. I will definitely come here again!

The motel room was clean, the staff friendly and it's in a convenient location, but It was overpriced for the quality. The mattresses are way too hard and the room heat/ AC unit doesn't seem to work properly. It was either too hot or too cold all night. The bathroom is super sWe did bring our dog and the pet fee was reasonable. Only one packet of regular coffee in the room and no decaf. Just not a super pleasant experience.

This motel is run by manager, Martha part of family ownership. Martha went beyond my expectations in succeeding making our stay comfortable. Thank you Martha for everything and who you are, you're a gem!!

This motel was a real surprise. It's a great value. the room was super clean with a comfy bed and soft sheets. The hotel uses green products to clean and recycles. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. although we didn't bring our dog with us, good to know this place allows pets with advance notice.

The is a family owned and operated motel which I feel adds to its charm. My husband, daughter and I travel to Cottonwood about 3-4 times per year to visit family and this is our go to motel. We have never had any issues with the room, location or front desk staff. The rooms are clean, well-kept and comfortable. The location is centrally located between Jerome and Sedona. The front desk staff have been lovely. I would not stay anywhere else in Cottonwood!

We stayed at this motel for one night after our Karate tournament at nearby Kc's taekwondo. It was a great room for the four of us and we enjoyed the kitchenette in the morning for breakfast. Roomy, clean, nice bathroom, usb plugs everywhere and friendly staff. This would be a wonderful location if you were headed to Flagstaff, Sedona, Jerome or Prescott. Will definitely stay again when we are up here. Thanks!

Great place ! clean , quiet , central location ! Yes the photos on line are actually accurate .... We stayed three nights and it could not have been any better . The family takes great pride in the place and it shows every where you look . The have paid a great deal of attention to every detail . The rooms are in great shape not worn out or tired but fresh and up to date . I had the feeling that I was staying at a friends place not a hotel . The kitchenette was perfect . A trip to store for some breakfast items was all we needed . We will be back !
