Google
Famously has everything. Great meat and seafood department. Decent sandwiches and cold brew on tap.

Google
Amazing selection and service. A real gem. Always ask for stuff you don't sew especially at the full service butcher fish counter. Yes it's expensive but all that fresh selection has to come by boat with a fickle crowd. By the time one does stop and shop with freight charges, pain in the neck order, waste from over buying you're probably at even for less quality and buying corporate instead of local.

You can by beer here for a 14 dollars per pack instead of 1 bottle for $9 in the nearest bar.

The Pines Pantry is a gem in the community, offering a surprisingly well-stocked selection of high-quality groceries, excellent meats, freshly made sandwiches, and delicious baked goods like pies and breads. Their attention to quality and curation of its inventory is evident. The Pantry is the go-to destination for quality food in the Pines and they sell cute Pantry t-shirts with their timeless seventies logo.

Love their attention and thoughtfulness- well stocked store, run with fine organization and genuine kindness. Today’s delivery person even tucked the ice cream in the freezer for us! Thank you for providing such good service with such care.

Google
I only go here if necessary, TBH the deli is amazing but the prices have always been crazy here. They do have a lot, but your better off doing a Stop & Shop order and grabbing odds and ends here.

Google
Great selection here- surprisingly great spanakopitas in the pastry section.

Google
Great sandwiches. The curry chicken salad is great, I always get it with muenster cheese in a wrap. It's always amazing to me that they carry all of the ingredients they have. I have never looked for anything, despite how rare, and not found it here.

Yelp
Okay so the prices. It's THE PINES y'all. It's an island with no cars; everything and everybody has to come in by boat, and there are almost no restaurants. So let's just stipulate that the prices are eye-watering and you just need to take that as a given. That aside, the Pantry has all.the.things. Pretty much anything you need to enjoy this Fire Island paradise, from baguettes to fresh veggies to candles to dog treats. The butcher is excellent, so's the fish, and they make great sandwiches and prepared food. We get kinda fancy here in the Pines (I mean, we have tea EVERY DAY haha), so you can find things like artisan pasta sauce, cheeses, and fresh herbs. Generally all of this is delivered by a bunch of friendly folks with ready smiles, so, win-win.

Yelp
The Pantry has an amazing selection and the cashiers are always so friendly and helpful. Also, if you don't feel like cooking, I the prepared meals in the deli are spectacular and well-priced.

Yelp
Excellent service and always has what you need while in the pines. I would suggest at anytime, prices are higher, but to be expected. Keep up the great work!!

Yelp
Pretty dope market right by the fairy... I mean ferry. Once yer off the banana boat swirl around to the right, walk down the dock and you'll pass the blue whale, the market will be next. It's your sort of 1 stop shop typical of the fire island sea shore however they have a full deli and the best tortellini salad ever! The sandwich I had was good, nothing great but you'll find everything you need here for sure. The cute girl who helped me was super friendly. Fresh veggies out the side door by the coolers, check them out for sure.

Yelp
Consistently friendly and well stocked, the Pines Pantry is a great asset to the community, providing high quality baked goods and essentials as well as gourmet items. Their deli makes great sandwiches. Not a great bargain, but it's expensive to do business out there, so I don't begrudge them needing to make a profit. The fresh daily baked cookies which they sell at the counter are worth the visit.

Yelp
Best coffee... sandwiches and the Staff is very sweet. Cookies are God's gift to mankind. ask for them at the register :)

James P.

Yelp
Love the pines pantry! They always have the best farm-fresh vegetables, and the best selection of prepared foods and meats! It's the only option for grocery shopping, but it's the best!!!!

Kai C.

Yelp
Nice selection and great service! Given the new restrictions, we have been having our groceries delivered to our house. They have been great at getting items and letting us know about substitutions when things aren't available. Their turkey burgers are my favorite to grill for lunch.

Kwame S.

Yelp
This a perfect place to pick up goodies for hanging out on the beach. There is a wide variety of various food items. The mango salsa from sabra is very delicious. The store is well organized and very clean. Plus, the prices are very reasonable... Relative to nyc grocery prices. Also, the deli has a wide assortment of sandwiches, deli products, and salads. The bean and rice salad is amazing. Good thing that this place is so nice because it is the only game around for noshing items for the beach.

Yelp
Pop tarts, $4.59 Pasta sauce in a jar, $5.65 USDA Prime Fillet Mignon, $17.99lb Not having to lug bags of groceries across the bay from Sayville, Priceless! The fresh meats and fish are class A+ however the produce needs to be refreshed a bit more often. They have a great selection of artisan breads and just about everything else you need to make a top notch meal. For a "pantry" they sure are well stocked. All the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Next time I'm saving my arms and buying the supplies on the island.

Susan L.

Yelp
Great selection of food, actually, unbelievably fresh for an island. Besides a shopping bag, you might bring your credit card. Very expensive for perishables, (cannot blame them) otherwise comparable to a fancy Soho deli. Pantry stocks my favorite ice cream, raspberry w chocolate chips. But that's not the only reason I love em. You will find the Friendliest crew and that old fashioned family style store that cares about their customers.

Jedsada Y.

Yelp
More like 3 and a half stars since the staffs are nice and very helpful plus they deliver your grocery and beer (except ice) to your door anywhere in the Pines for $3! Aside from the steep price, this store is pretty well-stocked for this isolated island. They carry variety of fresh produce as well as cooking ingredients. If you stay in the island for a week without getting anything from Sayville, you're gonna have to pay the triple price for some stuff like a medium bottle of lube for $27 or $10 for a small container of pine nuts. LOL Well, I can't blame them. Summer is the only time when they can make money, but, still, I suggest you get a wheelie cooler and pack as much stuff as you can from the city or Sayville.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Is this my favorite sandwich place? No. But it is pretty damn good for the pines. Also, the people that work here are all super friendly and work efficiently. My favorite sandwich is the bay walk wrap with curried chicken salad. Some of their sides are good too and it is all very reasonably priced. Definitely a great spot to grab a quick bite for lunch.

Yelp
This 1 is for posting in front of the store they stay open until 530pm and close at 5. Now also closed on Tuesday and Wed... To not keep 2 or 3 employees around at $15 to $20 an hour and for the prices they charge this would be 2 or 3 customers an hour.

Wayne Y.

Yelp
I would say this is a 3 star establishment but given the fact that this is really the only grocery store in this area of the island, let's give it a little boost. They do have a wide variety of items including cakes and pastries. I got the hazelnut Piroulines. These are addictive as hell.

Biggy E.

Yelp
Over priced. I tried to support this business but I understand why Peapod will soon close this place. Paid 11.99 per pound for portabella mushroom when I realized that 11.99 is shiitake which the cashier charged me. I told her that same day that she charged me 2 dollars more for the mushroom and she blatantly ignore me. I called her out and she nonchalantly said, I don't know anything about mushroom. I pay $$$ for poor customer service. I give this place a few more years.

Jarrett C.

Yelp
This place is ridiculous, in a very good way. For it being a tiny grocery store in a tiny village on an island only inhabited 5 months of the year, they stock some incredible things. You want 40 kinds of mustard? They have it. You want the freshest produce money can buy? They have it. You want some of the best looking meat you can buy? They have it. You want the best looking grocery stock boys on Long Island? They work there. How do they do it?? A+ all the way.

Veronica Y.

Yelp
I placed several orders this past week during my stay at Fire Island and thought Pines Pantry was wonderful. I couldn't believe how fast and efficient the whole ordering/ delivery process was. Thank you for keeping us all safe during our stay. You're doing a great job and we appreciate you all!!

Matt G.

Yelp
I stayed in Fire Island for a week and we used Pines Pantry the entire time. It was so simple to place an order and to have everything delivered put the entire house at ease due to Covid-19. We were able to eat well, have fun, and not have to worry about unnecessary exposure. 10/10!

Alex M.

Yelp
I can't add much to what has already been said. Is it a bit more expensive than you'd find on the mainland? Sure. Is it pretty well stocked for being on an island. Definitely. Does it make you glad that you didn't haul everything with you on LIRR? Yessir! I'm glad it exists. Especially in paradise. Paradise needs a grocery store.

SERENE N.

Yelp
Last weekend, a fellow customer finally stymied The Pantry. No hearts of palm, alas! ETA: This weekend: Fresh hearts of palm in the grocery section! I'm impressed. They usually come in cans.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Stupid expensive, like you'd expect the only grocery in a rich vacation community to be, but otherwise really very good. Reliably good selection of high-quality food, good produce selection despite having a very small produce section, and I hear their meat is good (haven't tried it). You shouldn't expect really specialized items, but they have most of what people would want or need. The local high school (or college?) girls working summer jobs at the register manage to be pretty quick, so the line moves quick. Buy your groceries before you get on the ferry if you can, but if you can't, this place will probably have what you need.

John J.

Yelp
The best spot to get whatever it is you need. Sandwiches, groceries, beer. Oh yes.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
For a small store, there's a good selection of products and quality is high. The prices, not surprisingly, reflect their monopoly on groceries on this island.

Jay B.

Yelp
Everything in here was great quality and the prices were really good. Great Selection. Esp. Cheese and meats. The breakfast deli sandwiches serviced me well every morning for 5 days. Plus you get a free coffee/tea. I would definitely give this a much higher rating than its sister the Grove Market which is higher priced and forces you to spend at least $20 if you want to use a cc/debit card. As far as the cost its no more expensive than any of the NYC local grocery stores. Just remember fellow cigarette smokers to pre-purchase smokes before hand b/c ciggies run $15 a pack.
