There was a mistake made with our booking somewhere else so we had to find a place to stay for one more night in Queenstown.
Fortunately, there was one room left - so we booked it. The check-in was super quick and when we went to cabin Q, where we were staying, it was about 2 p.m. The entrance, the kitchen and the bathrooms looked as if some accident has happened. There was food and dirt on the kitchen floor, the bathroom towls next to the sink were black and red. I don’t want to start speaking from the toilets. We were just glad we had showered in the morning.
Our room was spotless. It was clean and tidy. After having a short break in our room, we heard some noise from the outside. Maybe the other guests, having fun or a party?
About one hour later the noise was gone and when we went to the restrooms, everything was clean. Props to the staff who did their job so well - and we kind of feel sorry for them, when other guests are so disrespectful with other places and belongings.

We stayed here for four nights and while the location is great, the rooms, shared facilities and kitchen are tired and run down.
The staff came to clean shared areas once a day but did a half job at best. Bathrooms were still dirty after they had been. It looked like they had just replaced towels and done a very quick vaccume. Sinks etc needed to be wiped down properly.
For 200 a night we expected cleaner facilities.

Clean warm rooms, comfortable bed, nice clean white sheets and the cleanest shared bathroom I have ever seen. I was really impressed with the cleanliness. Not normally a fan of shared bathrooms but they were very clean. Nice fresh rolled up hand towels available was a big plus.
We stayed in both the basic room which was the cheapest, and the next room up which had the bunk beds plus a double bed. Would recommend the one with the bunk bed (N block) as has less rooms/ people in that block so it’s a bit quieter.
The kitchens were well equipped with plenty of space, and also had designated space (by room number) in the fridges. The staff were really lovely and helpful. For Queenstown prices we felt the lodge represents good value for the price. A very good comfortable place to stay for budget conscious travellers.

It's a great location if you want walking distance to heart of Queenstown and only 5 minute ride to the gondola. The cabin was neat and tidy with good comfortable beds. The only thing that would be great is if there was secure bike storage for the cabins. Obviously leaving expensive bikes outside isn't an option but it's a bit of a pain to bring them inside to secure them.

Had a 3bdr unit, huge, enough for 9 people, including living room and kitchen. |We had a great stay, quiet location (including New Year's Eve!) ,near CBD (10min on foot), friendly staff, free car parking. Laundry room was dirty, it needs to be cleaned though. Anyway, we had a pleasant 3 nights' stay, we will be back again, for sure.

We are a family of 4. We had the entire apartment D (2 bedrooms and living area) for 2 nights. The check-in was very fast. The parking was fine, but it would be a bit tight if you had a larger car. The accommodation was clean, modern & spacious. (The front door was not closing properly though, but still lockable). It’s only a 5 minute walk to town, and very quiet. The laundry facilities were good. This place is excellent value for money and is highly recommended

This is the best rest stop I’ve stayed at so far. There’s free parking and a 24-hour reception, so you can safely leave your car there. It’s also within walking distance to the city centre, which saves a lot on parking fees. When I stayed there, there weren’t many people, so it felt like having the whole place to myself. The bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas were quiet and clean, with no unpleasant smells, and someone came regularly to tidy up. The room was very comfortable as well. Highly recommended!
