Pinhao Restaurant and Bar

This a good restaurant. They make every thing in house. Two of us had the Garlic Prawn appetizer, one had normal and the other was medium spicy. We enjoyed them. One other had the Fish Burger which was a real fish fillet lightly breaded. The restaurant is overlooking the beach and would likely be crowded in the summer season. This the quiet time of year. We're Canadian snowbirds, fleeing the snow and cold for two months. The number of people here in the years to come are likely to increase.

We spent our last night in Portugal at this fabulous restaurant. A beautiful spot where we were able to see the ocean and reminisce of our 10 days in this beautiful country. The food was absolutely delicious and the service excellent. They always checked on us to ensure our experience was memorable. A spot not to be missed while at Carvo Beach. Also recommend the goat cheese with garlic bread. Absolutely delicious.

Worth the walk up the hill from the parking lot. In the corner of the building sits this quaint little restaurant with some of the best food we've had on our trip. Sea bass was grilled perfectly, both chicken and lamb curry dishes were cooked with just enough heat, and the cataplana was hearty and full of flavor and spice. Be sure to get a glass of fresh passion fruit juice, and if you enjoy wine, the vinho verde was perfect with all our dishes. We will certainly be bringing family back on their next visit.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! We ordered the baked goats cheese starter, mixed fish plate and prawn curry. They even brought us a free digestif at the end of our meal and another shot of tequila. Would definitely come here again

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The view from the top overlooking the sea is beautiful and adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent. The garlic bread was warm, buttery, and full of flavor, and the sardines were fresh and perfectly prepared. Both dishes stood out and are worth ordering. Service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated that they offer free Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay connected while enjoying the meal. If you’re looking for good food, a great view, and a comfortable spot to spend some time, I’d definitely recommend this place.

The food was excellent! The garlic prawn appetizer was delicious 😋, grilled mixed plate was very tasty, tuna steak was fresh & the Thai spicy noodles was sweet & savory. We will be back tomorrow!🤗

Got the 1. Grilled octopus 2. Garlic prawn with toast starter 3. Mixed seafood plate The grilled octopus is a must. The spicy sauce they use is excellent. The octopus itself was very juicy and just the right amount of chewyness. The spinach bed was very good. Went really well with the octopus The starter prawn was very good. Almost an entree itself. Not fishy at all. The sauce was very flavorful. The mixed fish plate was ok. More for picky eaters. Almost like chicken tender plate for adults. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were not disappointed. The many positive reviews speak for themselves. We had grilled fish (sea bream/sea bass), which was perfectly grilled, the side dishes were fresh and delicious. The service was good and attentive. Parking is relatively easy nearby, but you'll need to be prepared to walk a few minutes; the food and the view from one of the city's most beautiful vantage points a few meters away are definitely worth it. I definitely recommend it!
