Google
Pink Lane Coffee, in my opinion, do the best flat whites. I always pop in here whenever I’m in Newcastle. Today I also had a vegan chocolate chip cookie which was crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. Personally, I’m not a fan of the strip lights, they feel too bright and are not ideal for creating a relaxing ambiance. There is a very small seating area outside for warmer days, or those who can tolerate the cold. The staff are friendly and efficient.

As far as coffees go, this is the best flat white I've had. Nice atmosphere inside also, pretty tasty goats cheese/tomato sandwich too. The coffee is the main attraction though.

Just popped into PLC this afternoon to pick up a quick, take-away Flat white. I don't spend as much time in town as I used to, so I've not been here in a good few years. Great to see the coffee is still quality and full of flavour. Flat white was very tasty. Will be sure to pop back again in the near future and not leave it a few years again haha. Thanks Anth & the team ☕️🤘

Really good coffee and lovely food. The service is good and they really do take time for the coffee.

Google
What an incredible little café! I'm a bit of a coffee snob these days so thought I'd come here as I'd heard their coffee was excellent, and they were right!! The coffee was to die for, fruity but not too much and was super balanced in acidity with no bitterness whatsoever! Oh, and the pan au chocolate was delicious too. The staff were really friendly and kind! ☺️ Will definitely come back again, even on the regular!

Google
I really like the coffee from here, and it's one of the only places that serves a long black. However every time I ask for a long black they say "we have a batch brew instead if you'd prefer?", why? A batch brew is nothing at all like the specific espresso drink I ordered. I don't think someone would accidentally order a long black, as they're so infrequently on menus. The only reason I can think they would do this is that they can't be bothered to make my drink. All the staff are standoffish, they barely smile when greeting you. It feels like my custom is a burden on their time. I don't understand why people work in a customer service job if they can't be pleasant to customers! The food is ok, but if I was going to pick up a vegan cookie/cake I think pink lane bakery just up the road offers fresher and tastier options for the same price (and with lovely customer service). The atmosphere when sitting in is not great. Definitely not cosy coffee shop vibes at all. It's a real shame because the coffee really is good, just everything else is letting you down.

Google
Outstanding specialty coffee in Newcastle in a cosy venue with great coffee baristas. A must in Toon!

Google
Had high expectations but very underwhelmed. Staff are unfriendly and when we approached them about forgetting items from our order they sighed and then made a lukewarm hot chocolate. Such a shame due to the location but far nicer independent coffee places in town with far friendly / welcoming staff.

Yelp
The interior is super cute! Very simple menu, but a bit of a variety - I know, it kind of negates itself, but if you see the menu, you know what I mean. Enough to not be upset but not enough to have your choice of anything. There's no flavors so I chose the cold brew with whole milk. I was not disappointed. It mixed well enough that it wasn't an overly coffee flavor. I'd be back.

Yelp
I got the whole grain wrap with sweet potato pakora, spinach, hummus and cous cous for takeaway Saturday and for £4.20 was quite pleased with the portion and taste. It also came with a chili sauce on the side and the spice was a perfect compliment to the sweet potato. Even my meateating husband was satisfied! Like someone else said on TA though the staff wasn't the friendliest, which I was surprised at, considering most of those I have encountered in Newcastle have been friendly.

Yelp
Hands down the best coffee shop in Newcastle. Situated just outside Newcastle Central Station this is a real gem spearheading the coffee culture in Newcastle. Cool, quirky with baristas who are happy to chat all things coffee. Oh.....and they serve the best flat white you will ever taste.

Yelp
Stopped in on a local's recommendation, and this cute and youthful cafe did not disappoint. I ordered a coffee with their "Monteblanco" sourced beans. It was beautifully brewed, with delicate floral and citrus notes. Their pour-over brews give you flavor without any of the acrid tang of your chain coffee brews. Well worth the 4 pounds.

Yelp
I hate giving anywhere one star, but my experience today left such a bad taste in my mouth I feel compelled to share it. Having been a coffee lover all my life and having drank coffee all over the world this was hands-down the worst coffee experience ever. - firstly, I was refused milk (their filter coffee has to be taken black) - secondly, their indignant staff scoffed at the suggestion that customers be free to take their coffee as they wished - thirdly, they were rude enough to tell me 'this isn't Starbucks' while assuming I had not heard of a flavour wheel - fourthly, their so-called special roasting process amounts to little more than a gimmick for the taste buds - finally, their prices do not reflect either the quality or experience of the reality of drinking there If you are looking for gimmick sold as sophistication then this is your place.

Yelp
Such a great little find just moments away from Central station. If you're looking for a fantastic independent coffee shop with something a little bit special, I couldn't recommend this place more. The coffee is second to none with a really interesting selection, clever know how by the baristas and fresh, delicious range of savoury and sweet options. I tried a cup of their Ethiopian coffee and a slice of white chocolate, pistachio cake - both were by far the best I've tasted. The guys behind the counter were really friendly, warm and welcoming - once settled in the comfy sofa, I didn't want to leave!

Yelp
High quality coffee served in a quirky little shop only a stone's throw from Central Station. Can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
I only go here for 1 thing and that's a flat white. The staff take real pride in their craft and are passionate about coffee. The place has a hipster vibe that you might expect in independent coffee shops. The coffee selection changes often and offers a new taste wise every time, it is hard to find another place in the area which has such a interesting selection. They also sell ground coffee they use in house to take away with you. Probably serves the best flat white in Newcastle. Artisan Touch: Yes

Yelp
Really good atmosphere, friendly staff who know you by name after a couple of visits and to die for drinks. If you aren't a huge tea or coffee person, I'd recommend you try their hot chocolates. Dark is my favourite but Milk and White chocolate is also available.

Yelp
Tucked away on the end of Pink Lane lies a non descript cafe with great coffee and tasty treats. On holiday here and needed a recharge for the night with the standard latte doing the job. A bit pricey but it's fair trade and top quality.

Yelp
Incredible attention to detail in every aspect - simply awesome! The atmosphere is perfect and the the coffee is easily the best I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough.
