Our stay at Pink Sands was a fantastic week! The food, service, attention to details and friendliness of the staff was second to none. ||Rel picked us up at the airport and escorted us both to the hotel and back to the airport with a smile and was always helpful during the week. Ask for him to get you there and back if you visit. He made our arrival and departure special and easy. ||Malcolm 51 and Blue Bar had amazing food and even better service. ||Everyone we encountered was very welcoming and the Pink Sands beach was the most beautiful of any we’ve been on!||We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful visit to the Pink Sands hotel this weekend. It was our first time to Harbour Island and it will not be our last. We dined for lunch and the views were unbelievable, it truly is a slice of paradise. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were so friendly, kind, and welcoming. One of your employees, Rel, was truly top notch. He went out of his way to welcome us to Harbour Island and the Pink Sands Hotel and made sure we were taken care of. We will be back soon for a family vacation due to the amazing hospitality and the unforgettable views!

Pink Sands exceeded our expectations on all levels. From the moment we arrived at the resort and the warm and friendly greetings, nothing was ever too much of an ask. The villa and its beautiful decor and breathtaking views were simply the most incredible setting for our 8 day stay. We have travelled extensively and to be quite honest, we did not know what to expect, but Pink Sands, Bahamas and it beautiful people shone on all levels. The cuisine at the resorts restaurants was well thought out, expertly prepared and presented, making each dining-in a wonderful experience!! We definitely will be coming back 🙂

⸻||This was our third visit to Pink Sands. Unfortunately, both Pink Sands and Harbour Island no longer have the small, hidden-gem charm they had a decade ago. The island has been discovered, become crowded, and a bit rowdy, with motorized golf carts buzzing everywhere (years ago, there were only a few electric ones). All the conch fritters in town (and at the resort)come from the same frozen brand, deep-fried to order.||The resort itself has expanded, with rows of t multi-bedroom, multi-story homes built where the bird preserve once sat behind the cottages. It used to feel romantic and mostly catered to couples; now you’ll find children playing hide-and-seek in the restaurant while Dad takes an important business call on speakerphone. As it’s grown, it’s become less personal. We used to get to know the waiters and bartenders, who remembered our favorites. Now it feels about as friendly as a chain restaurant. Every guest except us had a golf cart, and you constantly had to jump off the narrow paths inside the resort as they sped by.||Our “oceanfront cottage” was actually behind another oceanfront cottage and a horse stall, and it was really only half a cottage—attached to another, with a lattice fence separating the “private patio.” While we were there, half the beach was taken over by a photo shoot for suntan lotion or something, so we couldn’t use the stretch of beach near our villa.||Yes, the beach is still beautiful, more populated than it used to be, but it was never truly crowded. The water remains crystal clear, and we still had a nice time. Still, it’s sad to see what was once such a quaint, romantic place go downhill.

The rooms; the staff and the dining were outstanding, as always! This is a very well managed property. The oceanfront cottages are fantastic. You have a beautiful view while drinking coffee in bed. We also enjoy the deck area.

The Pink Sands has a great location with secluded homes and cottages on the best stretch of the beach on the island The beach is raked daily. Each unit is unique with spaces to meet every need. The 3 bedroom home with a cottage and pool provided a great space for a multi-generational family vacation. The house was top notch but the cottage was in need of attention. Housekeeping, while adequate, could use improvement. If you are not satisfied, let the front desk know and the staff will fix it. ||The staff is accommodating and arranged all of our tours and reservations. Malcom 51 is top notch in food and service as well as the Blue Bar with great drinks and a beautiful view. Breakfast and lunch were a treat and they offer beach service, which you can request from the the beach shack attendant.||A great island experience, would not hesitate to rebook as we throughly enjoyed our five night stay. Remember, you are on the island so enjoy the pace.

We have been returning to Pink Sands for years now—enough years that the particular shade of coral in the walls has become, for us, a kind of Proustian trigger for something elusive: the feeling of arriving somewhere that knew how to leave you alone while still taking care of you. On our last visit, we found the refurbishment. Fresh paint, new linens, staff trained in that contemporary hospitality school manner—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about wine pairings, capable of answering questions about thread counts. All admirable. All correct. And yet. There is a quality that places possess when they have evolved organically from their own soil, their own people, their own particular history. Pink Sands had this—a Bahamian soul, if you will. The kind of warmth that cannot be taught in a training seminar. The kind of charm that comes from generations of knowing how to welcome strangers the Bahamian way. We sense this slipping away. Not gone, not yet. But fading, like paint in the salt air. The danger, of course, is homogenization. That creeping Floridian sensibility, that Nassau-style sensation-seeking, threatens every beautiful place that makes the mistake of being discovered. Pink Sands could so easily become another interchangeable luxury resort—pristine, five-star, utterly forgettable beach. The kind of place that exists everywhere and therefore nowhere. That would be the real loss. Not the old furniture or the slightly shabby bar or the staff who knew your name without checking a computer. The loss would be of something ineffable: the sense that you had arrived somewhere that could only be itself and nowhere else. Let us hope the management understands what they have. Glory, after all, is not found in marble lobbies and infinity pools. It resides in the specific, the local, the irreplaceable. We will return. One always does. But we will be watching, as one watches all things one loves, for signs of what is being preserved and what, despite everyone’s best intentions, is being allowed to disappear.

Wow! What a fantastic overall experience! This resort is truly the best of the best on harbor island. What really made our stay magical was the food, staff, and best pina coladas we’ve ever had. Big thanks to managers Deeandree, Raju, Katrina, Chef Carlos, and of course Armani, Keno and Yaz. Could not suggest this resort highly enough. As southerners, they really understand the true meaning of hospitality. The location is unbeatable, on the most beautiful stretch of the beach with a pool to match.
