My friends and I go around the Maginhawa area a lot to find places to eat, but if we can't find a place we can all agree on, we know we always have the option of settling at Pino.
Pino is a beautiful restaurant along Malingap with a menu that plays with Filipino food so well that you won't think it at all showy or pretentious, especially since the food is that good. If the idea of having bagnet spring rolls, kalderetang lengua, and sisig carbonara doesn't move you, likely nothing will. It's a hard time deciding on food here since everything looks and tastes so good, you'll want to try them all. Most of their stuff can also be for sharing, which can make for a decently affordable meal. They also have equally delectable vegetable dishes from Pipino, their vegetarian counterpart, and you can always just swing by Pi, their baked goods cafe just next door.
If you want a real trip though, order their frozen margarita. It's gargantuan, enough for three to four people, and great to get your drunk on in the middle of the day.
