Google
So far the best Iced Vanilla Lavender Matcha latte that I have found in the city. The cloud top is amazing! My fiancé got the Blackberry Nitro and it was also amazing. Only downside is that I can’t come here everyday. It’s too far from the east side! Open one on the east side pleasssee!!! Update: still the best!!! I drive 30+ minutes to come here. Today they left a kind sticker on my drink. Truly made my day. Thank you for all you do!!!!! <3

Google
Very cute atmosphere and great staff. Drink options were diverse and delicious! They also name their plants? Lol 😆

First time here. I had a blended caramel latte and my daughter had a iced lavender Chai. Both yummy 😋

Google
The pinon coffee is delicious! Service was great too.

Google
I absolutely love coffee and Piñon is one of my favorite places to treat myself. It's not too sweet and I love the slightly bitter coffee flavor, it's so balanced. Lately I've been obsessed with the tiramisu latte, I just think is funny to have a coffee flavor dessert coffee drink plus it's so yummy! The staff is always so nice and I never wait too long.

Google
The coffee and pastries are great! And the atmosphere is great as well (decoration wise). But the service wasn’t as great, we were attended by Avis K, horrible attitude. Making you feel guilty for even going for a coffee. We can all have bad days, but if a costumers comes to you with a good attitude and has patience with your attitude there’s no reason to continue being rude!! Overall I do recommend coming here, other workers are amazing and parties are like any other pastry. Great coffee selection.

Google
This place is always a stop when visiting from out of town. The Mexican spiced latte is great. Usually try different drinks everytime and it all has been good. Highly recommend.

Google
One of my favorite spots in Albuquerque because I appreciate this location has a drive thru which is my gripe with overall Albuquerque coffee spots! No drive thru's?! This is America lol and I refuse to go to Starbucks. Pinon coffee house uses coffee ice cubes which is a nice touch! I had no problems with service so far and I will say, they tend to be out of certain pastries but I usually go late in the day which makes sense. My overall go-to spot.

Yelp
I go to Piñon Coffee every time I'm in ABQ. I love the ABQ Fog with the biscochito syrup and sprinkle of cinnamon. It's absolute perfection. They recently had bags of a special Bischo Burn coffee on their display table. I bought a few for gifts to friends and neighbors in Colorado. I can't wait to return next time I'm in town!

Yelp
My favorite drink is the mi amor drink. It's sweet and creamy and not too strong. The pastries are also good and different.

Yelp
Line gets long but mainly because they are slow to get stuff done. The coffee is good but some are not available all day. Like the blonde black coffee is mainly in the morning. But my husband does like the coffee.

Yelp
I was totally surprised when my friend chose this location for our meetup. I first visited this coffee house maybe about 8 years ago. It looked like any other fast food spot. Nothing notable. But last week, I was totally and pleasantly surprised! Besides a few small tables, there were two small couches! Color on the walls! It had transformed into a place that I would enjoy coming back to alone or with friends. Have a meeting or even bring my computer or read from my kindle. Friendly staff too! Good job!

Yelp
Great place to stop by for coffee and, specifically, for a chance to try NM based coffee shops. Pinon Coffee House isn't quite a standalone shop and has quite a few branches...but it's still worth checking out anyways. My friend from out of town who enjoys coffee wanted to check out local coffee shops while in NM, so we made it a point to check out Pinon Coffee House. I had the Honey Lavender Latte and thought it was ok. Perhaps a little sweeter/has sweeter aromatic smell than I would have liked. For my friend, he had basic straight drip/Americano style coffee...and was ok with it. Nothing bad..but it wasn't his top top choice. We also got Biscochito to try..and perhaps Biscochito really just wasn't out thing...we thought it was too much spice/smell infused in the bakery. Well, opinions vary for sure where Pinon Coffee House stood, because when we stopped by..I swore, half of the people in the coffee shops were tourists/people from out of town who stopped by a shop just like we did! Overall, ok to check coffee out. For me, it was my first time trying Pinon Coffee house and it was decent. However, as a non frequent coffee drinker and someone who tried their coffee and thought it was so so, I probably wouldn't go out of my own way there unless someone (likely from out of town) wants to try it.

Yelp
Everything I have gotten here is the best! I really enjoyed the lavender coffee freeze a few weeks ago because it was starting to get very hot out. It's also a beautiful drink . I appreciate the local flavors, and the service is always very friendly and helpful with recommendations- I love the drive through and the sticker area. My only sad point is that they only have the one location that I know of- I would love if they had something more north too since I can only go there when I'm dog sitting in that area.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop. The decore inside for the holidays was cheerful and welcoming. I got the honey lavender iced latte. My 1st time tasting, it was delish. I forgot to ask for alternative milk, so didn't get to enjoy the whole drink. Several tables inside to complete work or sit and lounge while enjoying your cup of coffee.

Yelp
Very popular while I was there. The walk-ins steady and the drive-thru busy with over five cars the entire time. Indoor seating is more than it looks like it would be from the outside. Comfortable and inviting. The pasty options are decent. HAD to try the Brown Sugar Scone which was a nice size and tasty. The Blueberry Lemongrass iced tea was okay, but not my main taste...that's on me. I like that they let customers grind coffee the way they like it for the bags they buy. Not a coffee person myself, but it looks like everyone else enjoys that option. And hard not to with the Goggly eyes on the grinder. Haha. The difficult part is getting into the small parking lot. But once situated, the visit is worth it.

Yelp
I was introduced to this place by my sister. The grounded coffee is very good made at home. When we visit ABQ we come here for the lattes. The workers are not the friendliest. It has gotten worse over the years and today was just unbearable. The screen was broke so I was unable to recall my previous drink name and asked the front cashier and she was upset I didn't know what I wanted. Yes, it is my fault the TV menu is not working and I don't remember the name. I'll stick with the kind people at Starbucks. I tried Piñon... this place is so inconvenient to get to, too.

Yelp
Yum!! So all I really knew about NM Pinon coffee was the large whole bean coffee bags that I would buy in different flavors throughout the year, when I would brew my coffee at home. Which I love!. Anyway, today I was getting my hair done and my hairdresser told me about this honey lavender latte from Pinon coffeehouse. Now I had no idea they had a regular store with different types of coffee drinks. So after my appt I went straight over there and ordered a honey lavender iced latte with a lavender cloud top. Which is this sweet cream that they put on top of the latte! Good lawd it is so so delicious! It made my day from an already good day to a great day! I definitely will be going back to try the other lattes and drinks. As of now this beats any other fancy iced coffee store around.

Yelp
Piñon Coffee House has a cute indoor seating area with art of Albuquerque. It is a good spot to sit and chat with friends and family. We tried the pistachio latte, lavender latte, and biscochito latte! All were excellent, and you could very much taste the distinct flavors. Also, if you get them cold, they come with fun colorful whipped cream on top. The barista who helped us was very friendly, answered my mom's many questions, and gave us samples. Overall a great stop and would definitely recommend if you're in town!
google avatar

Yelp
Arrived two hours before closing and they refused to make any coffee other than what was already made.

Christine A.

Yelp
It's a local company win and they make theee absolute best cofeee, lattes, teas, espressos, pastries, pet snacks, Biscochito doughnuts and breakfast burritos are beyond phenomenal. They even well merch and coffee items you can brew their coffee at home win win win

Yelp
I tried Piñon coffee at the chocolate and coffee festival when I first moved here and I wasn't sold on it at the time and I'm sad to admit I continued to get Starbucks over Piñon up until a few weeks ago. And wow, have I been missing out!! One of my co-workers at work told me I had to give them a try and that they were by far better then Starbucks.. so I decided to stop in one day. She was right!! I got the Honey Lavender Latte with Oat Milk!! It's a bit sweet so I either just get one pump of lavender or do half sweet and that is just right! I tried it with almond milk and it was good but the oat milk is better!! I haven't tried any other flavors yet but the richness of the coffee is delicious and if you like lavender you should try the honey lavender latte!! The coffee is by far better then Starbucks and they are local to NM so I would much rather support local!! sorry Starbucks... just wish they had more locations and on the east side of town..

Yelp
The coffee is good! First time to try local coffee. I ordered the sugar-free bisconchito iced latte. It comes in a good size. I also ordered their Piñon k-cups to take home with me. I love this local cafe and support small businesses like this in the area. Will be back if I'm in town!

Yelp
Super friendly staff, fast, delicious sweet coffees. Honestly I got trapped by their ad for some iced coffee and so I visited. They remind me of a Dutch Bros. Large volume of coffee, sweet, tasty. Their drinks are definitely a large treat for me but if you're into sweet drinks I would recommend. Their coffee also tastes great so that always helps.
google avatar

Yelp
Worlds best coffee! I tasted the Honey Lavender latte and lavender lemon danish. Both were absolutely delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
I tried the Biscochito latte freeze. Flavor was delicious except for the whipped topping on top. It seems to be a very cheap brand or something, when I scooped up the whipped cream w a spoon to eat it, it was very greasy like lard in my mouth. I tried it again just to be sure and yes it immediately leaves a greasy thick lard like coating on your tongue and roof of your mouth. I was a little grossed out with this whipped topping.

Yelp
This locally owned business represents New Mexico and makes us proud. The coffee is so good. My personal recommendation is the Mi Amore! If you are pressed for time use the drive thru, otherwise take some "me time" or meet up with a friend for coffee and a baked good. The seating area in the coffee house is so relaxing. There is a couch area or table and chairs. Bring your laptop because there's WiFi! The barristers are friendly and helpful. I love their plants and repurposed pallets. Trust me on this one you will thank me later! You are welcome.

Yelp
Soon as we landed, I grabbed my Pinon Coffee as a post-travel pick me up.. Pinon Coffee is fresh, hearty, and well flavored. I tried the honey lavender latte; the flavor was so creamy rich. The location itself is easy access among the main road, with very friendly supportive staff. They make the coffee fresh in front of you, yet quick service like they knew we were coming
google avatar

Yelp
This is the first time I have been here to their brick and mortar store. Well, twice now I guess. And both through the drive through. The service was fast and the drinks were all made correctly. We got multiple drinks, from regular coffee through a sweet latte of some kind (obviously not my order). To me, the sweet drinks were really sweet. Hence me ordering more regular coffee. But at the same time, I thought that while the pinon coffee itself was excellent and the pinon came through brilliantly, when you put it in a latte of some kind, the pinon was completely lost. That's too bad because the pinon is the best thing about this coffee. If you like the pinon, then definitely come here and get something non-fancy. If you're looking for a sickly sweet latte or whatever, then you can come here or really anywhere else, because the pinon won't matter. This is a great coffee shop. Just make sure you order what you're looking for.

Yelp
I'm surprised that piñon coffee hasn't expanded beyond New Mexico. The added tartness is a unique flavor that, to me, enhances the natural bitterness of coffee. I hadn't had some in years so it was a welcoming treat. This coffee house is a more fast food vibe than cozy but it was relaxing nonetheless.
google avatar

Luis L.

Yelp
I have to admit that is one of the best coffee places I have tried around the U.S. It's amazing both coffee drinks like the Adobe Morning and Mi amor. Also, don't forget to ask for a Bizcochito donut cause those are just so good that it melts in your mouth.
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and it was okay. The coffee is superb. I ordered the Biscochito latte and it was excellent. The bacon burrito, however, was not very tasty and that's the reason for the three star review. It really was actually quite unpleasant and I didn't finish eating it. I was really surprised because being a local New Mexico company, I had higher expectations for the burrito. The service was great! I went through the drive through and it was very speedy, the barista was kind and helpful and overall very pleasant. I didn't really experience the ambiance because I went through the drive through. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for coffee only as their prices are excellent and the coffee was delicious, just avoid the food at all costs.

Yelp
Blackberry Lattes are hard to come by, but Blackberry Stroopwaffle Lattes..well, those are unheard of! And out of all places I could have discovered this drink, I came across this latte in the lovely city of Albuquerque at Pinon Coffee House. While there was drive thru available at this location, I visited the store in person, mostly because I heard they sold bags of beans inside as well and wanted to check those out. The cafe was somewhat busy during a weekday morning, a good sign that it was popular with locals, and it seemed like the staff was hustling and bustling as when I asked questions about the menu they didn't offer much commentary. But it's okay, the moment my eyes glanced at their Specials board, all my questions were answered...that Blackberry Stroopwaffle Latte was the one I was going to get, and that was that. Good thing I trusted my gut as this drink was a wonderful treat! I call it a treat, rather than a morning pick-me-up since it was more dessert-like, especially with the whipped cream atop. That's not to say it was overly sweet, in fact it was at the perfect sweetness! The latte was your basic iced coffee infused with milk but it was the blackberry whipped cream that stole the show. I mean, if I could bar a jar of this and drive it all the way to SoCal to have it a permanent resident it in my fridge... then I would do it. It was amazing and paired beautifully with the latte. As for the Stroopwaffle, well, the drink was lacking on that element since there were only pieces of waffle cookie on top of the cream but it didn't do much for the flavor. Still, I enjoyed my drink very much and if I ever come across anything remotely similar in name back home, then I'll have high expectations of it. It's too bad that the Blackberry Stroopwaffle Latte is available only for a limited time as it's amazing.. hopefully they have it through the summer so grab it while you can! Or who knows... if there are enough die hard fans, then maybe one day they'll convert it into a permanent menu item!

Yelp
I figured this would be like a New Mexico version of Starbucks. Big chain with a couple of local touches that would make it stand out and locals would love. I'm not a big coffee fan, but like most adults my friend was in need of a morning caffeine fix. I'm not a coffee fan, I honestly can't stand the taste of it so I figured I would go my usual route of getting an iced tea for my caffeine jolt. What I got instead of their Red Bull spritzer, which is like an Italian soda but with Red Bull. One other coffee shop had something like this and I loved it. I don't know why other coffee shops don't have this but Pinon did and for that I'm eternally grateful. I sat in one of their comfy chairs, perfect for relaxing but saw there was plenty of counter space for laptops for people who wanted to work. My friend wanted to just try their regular pinon blend but they don't let you try. The counter person did say that their biscochito was the most popular so that was ordered and the doughnut version as a bonus. So, they also do food here, like legit food and after I smelled and saw their breakfast burrito I regretted that I didn't wait to eat here. Back to the doughnut though, it had a nice sweet/cinnamon taste. My friend was pretty stingy with the sharing this time, it was that good. I got up to leave and I turned around to see my friend wasn't right behind me. They had bags of whole beans for sale and picked up bag of their regular. I heard later that the coffee beans are really good, better than one from a boutique coffee roastery.

Yelp
I love this location! If you're from New Mexico, you know Piñon Coffee is the best! Their flavored coffee beans are incredible! And this location is always clean and cozy! The staff is super friendly and they are constantly working hard to provide a quality experience! The lattes here are always creative and delicious! They also have freshly made treats and bags of coffee for sale. I like the flavored drip coffee just with half and half. It's perfect as is! Why mess with perfection? They have a really open and inviting sitting area so it's the perfect place to get some work done if you need a place to do it!
google avatar

Yelp
Solid coffee house! We first found out about this company after seeing the brand being sold at Costco... so we just had to give it a try! I ordered the peanut butter jelly latte (limited time specialty drink) and my fiancé ordered the mi amor latte. Both drinks were yummy and flavorful! It was the perfect level of sweetness, mild enough for the avid coffee lovers but moderate enough to satisfy the sweet tooth. The peanut butter jelly drink has a rosey taste to it, which I absolutely loved! The best part to this coffee house is the coffee ice!! No more watered down iced drinks like they have everywhere else! Totally mind blown.
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite place to get coffee. I try to start drinking coffee since o get so tired in the morning and there's always one open on my way to school. My favorite is the Maple walnut iced because I'm not a big fan of hot. Great and friendly service and they're fast at making my drinks so it's perfect! Overall love it here
google avatar

Kalie G.

Yelp
I adore this place! the food and drinks are always so delicious, the atmosphere is always open and friendly, and they sell dog treats that must also taste great since my dog loves them.

Yelp
What a terrible place to stop for coffee. I'll stick to corporate Starbucks at least they get things right. As a fellow New Mexican I have given this place 3 opportunities to impress or at least be sub par and every experience has been awful. Poor customer service, poor management and no apologies. I have had my credit card not returned, today my hot chai was cold and overall poor in all areas. No apologies, no let me make this right---nothing but the refund. Overall bad, definetly dont reccomend
google avatar

Yelp
My absolute favorite coffee place in town. Their dirty chai is amazing. They are friendly at all of the locations and fast.

Yelp
Simple and clean interior. My coffee was good and I got it quickly. I decided to study here but the internet connection was very poor that I couldn't connect to it. I was a disappointed. The staff was nice though and there seemed to be a lot of staff on hand. I decided to stay and study and to try out the environment. The music a relaxing and there wasn't that many customers here. The parking lot also had limited space it seemed, but other than that. I might not come back for a while since it is far from where I leave and the fact that their WiFi's didn't work was an inconvenience for me. So I just used my hotspot, which I didn't mind, but still. It felt like a hassle for me.
google avatar

Bonnie F.

Yelp
I really like Piñon Coffee, but this was a location I had never came to before and I went through the drive thru, which I also have never done before. The service was fast and the overall flavor of my Biscochito regular coffee was tasty, but the coffee was only lukewarm. I Don't Like Cold Coffee. I actually came here because my office is freezing and I needed something to warm me up! Hopefully this was only a one time encounter but if it happens again, I will be heading elsewhere!

Yelp
Come to find out there was a pinon coffee opening up in the neighborhood I was thrilled to dump Starbucks. I love local spots and supporting local. I have to say the location could not have been any better. The size of the coffee shop is a perfect still yet cozy. Now let me get down to the nitty-gritty. Every time I've gone which has now been a handful of times the coffee is lukewarm. And let's face it it's just mediocre coffee. What makes it better is if you get the flavored creamer. I was excited to try the pastries and I'll have to say the first time I tasted the biscochito donut I was happy. Upon another visit to pinon coffee House I decided to get a different pastry and I bought a muffin. the muffin seemed like it was still raw in the middle and had a faint taste of what I would say is baking soda. And me being the person I am, I've come back and have the same complaints every time! I told the co-worker about it so she decided to try it. As she pulled up behind me yesterday morning, she asked me what's taking so long as I was approaching the driveway. I'll have to say they're super slow in the driveway! I decided to give the muffins another shot since I learned they had a new Baker. The muffins were horrible!!! I was so upset that I called them back to let them know that I think something was wrong. Again they were raw, pasty and untasteful. So this morning I go in knowing that I really don't want drip coffee, I will try a latte. I spoke to the girl and she did confirm that she remembered my call and said sure what can I get you in replace of your muffin. Well I definitely don't want a muffin and since they could make my latte extra hot, I ask for an extra hot latte but yet again I get just a warm drink. I think the owners or management needs to give some training on not only being a good baristra but customer service as well. I heard snotty remarks to each othet and got ugly faces from the the barista. No way will I be going back. Sorry Pinon, I really wanted to love you.

Yelp
Stopped in late afternoon for coffee and pastries. Everything was excellent. Decorated well. Clean. Recommended.

Yelp
I came here this morning to try to the new Peppermint Bark Iced Latte and I was very excited to try it. Once I get to the drive thru, it took me about a whole 10 minutes to get through the entire drive thru which is ridiculous. It made me late to work because I did not think it was going to be such a long wait. Once I got my drink, it was just watered down, and looked nothing like the picture that they promote. Once I got my order and headed out, my drink spilled in my cup holder 30 seconds after I got it. I got a drink for my friend and when she received hers, it also spilled all over her. The drinks were good, but I expected something different and I am not happy about the wait time or the fact that both drinks spilled.

Yelp
Love this local coffee shop and their delicious coffees. The biscochito coffee is my favorite, full of flavor. Piñon coffee has fresh made pastries and delicious breakfast burritos as well. The burritos are not made to order but they are freshly prepared each morning and are available until sold out for the day. Get here early, it is worth it!!

Yelp
Just a small place on 4th but with a big heart. They are currently giving a free cup of coffee to government workers that are furloughed. It is a small gesture but it helps I Am worried at this point if I can even afford a cup of coffee. I enjoyed the pinion coffee, it is pretty good. They also have small breakfast items so stop in by
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Too stingy with the espresso. Half of a shot glass does not equate to one full espresso shot. Unbelievable how much they charged while giving so little in return. Thanks for the over priced, underwhelming, bland coffee.
google avatar

Ingrid L.

Yelp
Have only gone through drive through due to COVID limitations but I have thoroughly their flavored ice latte drinks- in particular the honey vanilla. If I could make a suggestion to Piñon coffee house it'd be to lessen the amount of sweetener or sugar used in the drink or syrup. First it's way TOO sweet even with my modified amount of syrup and it'll help save ya some $$. Because I guarantee it's way way too sweet. Besides the drive thru, which is a bit of a distance from our house I like to support their business by buying their whole beans from Costco. They have a road show where they sell their bags at a cheaper rate there... there's even a mega size one for the original piñon flavor. I've tried 3? Of the flavors? Sunrise, biscotti, some sort of hazelnut one too. Not a fan of any of them. The original flavor is best. Hope to visit soon again!
google avatar

Jourdan G.

Yelp
I went to get a sugar free coffee (compatible with dieting) which is very nice! I ordered, the girl wasn't too friendly from who I ordered from but the guy who took payment & gave me my drink deserves these 5 stars! He offered me a pumpkin spice sticker!! Of course that made my day. The coffee ice cubes are by far my favorite & the quality of the coffee is incomparable by far!

Oye A.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving it at three is the service, it's ridiculous to walk in and wait 25 minutes for a simple latte. There is only one person making drinks while everyone else is walking around, I understand that they are catering to the drive-thru cars but even in the drive-thru you wait forever. I try not to go there before work for the simple reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Pistachio latte not the best! Presentation was good. Color and flare great! Flavor left lingering and not worth second try.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
This place has so many of their workers with major attitude, super unfriendly. My son and I went inside due to the drive thru was super busy. We ordered and we got no "hello" nor were we greeted in any way. When they called out our order, we were missing a burrito and we got an employee's attention, stated we didn't receive our burrito. She went to grab it and just brought it up to the counter, without any words spoken to us. All their employees were more worried about the drive thru, than their customers in the lobby. Horrible service. I will not EVER go back to this place, to be treated like garbage. I try to support local but not when we are treated like crap. Good luck with your horrible unfriendly crew!

Yelp
Good coffee, nice pastries. Had lots of swag to buy but we didn't have the space if would have. Local airbnbs need to showcase this local business and their coffee

Yelp
My daughter was visiting from California, and we were looking for a quick bite in the morning. This was the only place I could see nearby, so we went in. My daughter commented that it had people in it, but it was very quiet. There was even music playing and people talking, so my guess is that the acoustics are just really good there, or the way it's designed. I have never felt at peace at a Starbucks. So I thought ok I'll try a pinon latte because that's what they do. It was great. I gave it to my daughter to try and she said, "Okay, that's great." One bisquichito donut. That's just two good ideas together, we both liked it. My daughter said that her smoothie had cinnamon in it, and she liked it a lot. We also had a breakfast burrito with red chile, which I was concerned about, but it was not too spicy for her very non-New Mexico ability to handle, and it was good besides. It was just one of those in the paper probably microwaved, but it was fresh, there were no hard parts of tortilla or excessive amounts, large size for the money. I think it was less than $15 all together, which I'm going to say is less than I expect to pay for pretty much stuff that hit the spot perfectly. Come to think of it, that pinon latte is probably my favorite coffee drink right now. I would not have guessed it.

Yelp
I'm somewhat ashamed to say that despite living in NM for nearly a year, this was my first trip to Piñon. The atmosphere was stellar (we love a good dog-friendly coffee shop!), and the coffee was fantastic! Also I want to shout out Grace H who served my mom and I with efficiency and a smile. Can't wait to come back!
