Sometimes you order something off the Internet and find a gem you’d of never found. Pinto Ranch is that gem. I ordered a Stetson Open Road in Caribou, it was the only place in the US that had my size and the color I wanted. Like anything you order online if you’ve never tried it on your’er guessing. 71/4 is different in every manufacturer. My head is not oval, it’s long oval… I called Pinto Ranch and Allen answered the phone. I explained the situation situation and after a couple minutes of talking, I said where the heck are you from? He says South Carolina well, I’m in California and I’m a North Carolina boy, call it a Southern thing, but Allen made me feel extremely comfortable and said, look you need to talk to our hat guy Tony he’s a magician. Tony picked up the phone. We talked for literally three minutes. He said send the hat back to me. I’ll sort you out no issue. Pinto Ranch has a “make it right policy” available a check out. I futzed around with a hat and was looking at putting a little mule kick in it so I boxed up the hat sent it back. This is my experience 100% The hat arrived on Monday about 1:30 their time at 2:30 their time I had a phone call from Tony and he said your hat is the way it should be for you. During the conversation I said, is there anyway you could put a pretty mule kick in this hat you might’ve seen where I started one Tony said no problem. I think maybe 10 minutes went by and I received a text from Tony… I looked at the pictures and I was absolutely over the moon. I couldn’t text him back fast enough with a couple of pictures that I took and I said you read my mind! That’s magic. I called a couple days later because Pinto Ranch is so good on communication and I was speaking to Mauricio, he said hang on. I’ll shoot you the tracking information right now. Every touch of my hat and every person I spoke to is dedicated to an amazing customer experience. Side note I drive across the country at least one time a year to go visit my farm in North Carolina, I guarantee that my trip back next year in April I am stopping at Pinto Ranch. There’s a few beers I need to buy for these boys. You Have a question about ordering from Pinto Ranch. I can only tell you my experience and I’m sure it’s what everybody else will say! The first picture is what I was playing around with. The second picture is what Tony did not seeing what I was thinking. Perfection! Thanks guys and Pinto Ranch!

I've needed a new pair of boots - since the last pair I bought was in the '90s. I looked online and visited a few stores. There was one pair I saw online that really caught my eye - above all others. I called Pinto Ranch and spoke to James. Since I didn't know my exact size (boot sizes vary compared to regular shoes) - I asked him to hold one of two sizes for me - and that I'd be there in an hour. I arrived within the hour to a store that was set up very nice. James was with a customer - so I looked at cowboy hats. A lady offered me a drink while I waited. A tall gentleman whose name I forgot assisted me with cowboy hats. James approached me - we talked - and he showed me the boots. I tried both on - and he strongly suggested one of them - and gave me the reasons for it. I loved it - it was on sale - so I bought the boots ... and a cowboy hat both he and the tall gentleman suggested based on what I liked and wanted. Overall - a great experience - I highly recommend Pinto Ranch - and I will be back.

I went into this establishment the week of January 20th to make a return from an online purchase. The security guard was welcoming but the female sales clerk was certainly NOT. Her disdain for my mere existence in this store was evident as she begrudgingly processed my return. While barely communicating she abruptly left her cashiering station and went to the back of the store. I waited at the cashiering station for about 5 minutes and when she emerged she breezed right past me and started to graciously help a customer with her jewelry selection. I tried to ask the sales clerk if I was going to receive a return receipt and she blatantly ignored me. Another sales associate told her I was speaking to her and she didnt care. She continued to help the other customer. A gentleman eventually brought me a return receipt. This seems to be a nice store with nice merchandise however, your sales clerk is definitely well versed in ensuring certain customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed in this store. She is definitely not the type of employee I would like to encounter in any circumstance and presents a poor representation of your store and community presence.

What a great shopping experience! My first visit. And it was quick and easy! First outfit was perfect for my event. Great selection and environment. Huge thank you to Janie for such welcoming and friendly help! I will definitely be back!

We were visiting from Dallas, family of 5. As soon as we walked in the first thing we asked for was where the restrooms are at. Went straight into the restrooms came out and were greeted by Tony all he said was “take your time” we certainly didn’t look western at all, I was wearing my Bred 11’s. As soon as he said that I asked to see a pair of boots, a specific color and size and he said “before we get all happy let me check if we have them”. He came back with a box with the color and size I asked for, threw them on and they fit and look great. Spoke to the manager this afternoon with a concern and it didn’t take him 5 minutes to take care of. Overall great experience, we’ll keep shopping with them.

If you are buying cowboy boots from pinto ranch and get the wrong size and return them even though they say free shipping on returns on boots they will charge you shipping. The customer service by the new owners is shady. I have attached the policy that they have from the website the they do not honor.

I don’t recommend this place. Be really careful. Expensive and bad service. No polite, rude people!

Yelp
Had on regular clothes and they did they didn't even speak to us until they noticed my watch.

Yelp
What an atrocious, untrustworthy company. Snakes! You can at least process our returns!! I returned my boots within the allotted return window and they never processed my refund. They can't even honor their own terms of agreement. I wish I had come here to read the other poor reviews before making a purchase.

Yelp
My husband and I were in town visiting the rodeo livestock show the weekend of 3/17/23 & 3/18/We went through the booths at the NRG center and I did not see anything that I liked. So the next day we came here to Pinto Ranch where I purchased a Charlie 1 Horse felt hat from this store. I forgot the gentleman's name that assisted me, but he showed me how to wear a hat, how it should fit and once I made my selection, he took it to where the steamer was, and shaped my hat for me the way I liked it to be. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They also had ladies and men's clothing, boots, plus accessories for the ladies.

Yelp
Just a quick peak! I decided to stop here after Sunday Brunch day! Tell you about that next. However, let me start with the customer service being very welcoming. There was always someone ensuring that your questions were answered, so thanks! Now, what did I find boots, belts and buckles. Although, I couldn't find the vest, I was looking for. This was only a quick peek, so stay tuned for my second trip, I saw some really nice boot and could not make a decision. Either way they have very nice western wear and by nice, I mean dressy as well. You have to see for yourself. So, until the next trip on this one. Bye-Bye! Yes, I forgot the pics inside, all the more reason to comeback.

Yelp
This is a scam. They take your money then cancel Your order and use your funds while it waits and holds are on your card. Do not buy from them they will scam you 100% Positive posts are fake accounts from the company.

Boni W.

Yelp
A scam Company!! They lie, cheat and steal your money. They misrepresent their merchandise with phony labels and will never answer their phone. I received one email that they would get back to me as soon as possible. I called and emailed daily and never heard from them again. Do NOT give them your credit card.

Richy O.

Yelp
Pinto Ranch is one of my favorite stores to visit and shop at. They're high quality products and you can find the top leather, fur, boots, belts, etc. products and this store. It's a hidden gem nearby the galleria and many U.S. presidents have shopped here as you can see from one of the pictures I uploaded. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Eva D.

Yelp
We visited the store today for the first time. We have been looking for a hat for our 12 year old girl, and every place we went to was a disappointment. They have a variety of clothes, high end boots, gorgeous saddles, jewelry, hats, and some home decor. Our salesman, who we forgot his name - we do know he is a Veteran, was excellent. He was also very knowledgeable on hats and also in shaping them. He did an excellent job shaping my husband's hat, which he purchased somewhere else. All in all, loved the service and walked out with a happy girl who was able to find a hat she loves and for a great price.

Heather C.

Yelp
Ordered online and paid extra for free unlimited returns. Received a too small, stained/ damaged Stetson hat. Returned immediately. Two weeks after returned hat was delivered to Pinto Ranch, they still had not shipped a replacement nor issued a refund despite almost DAILY calls placed by me to customer service. FINALLY, customer service rep confirmed there was no replacement available "but the person responsible for issuing refunds was out sick so they couldn't refund my purchase. " Filed a dispute with PayPal. Now PR is saying that they are unable to refund my purchase due to the dispute, which is nonsense. I even emailed step by step instructions copy and pasted from paypal to the seller. Seller is not responding to inquiries from PayPal and is no longer responding to my emails. It's been over a month and they're still refusing to refund my purchase despite being unable to fulfill my order. They owe me nearly $180.00. I will never purchase from them again.

Yelp
Great store. Closest one to my was located in Vegas. I say was because they closed. I still place orders online. I mainly purchase Cowboy/ girl boots. High quality. They carry top boot brands

Alexander F.

Yelp
they sent me boots that were bad from factory and would not taken them back even though they were not worn stay away from this company I spent months calling and attempting to reach the manager Andrew Givens but after they had my money and told me they would repair them they just stopped respondinf and stopped taking my calls they prob may reply to this but I still wouldent buy from them horribke customer service and im going to make another review including pictures

Yelp
I was a new customer to Pinto Ranch when I recently made a purchase by phone of a pair of Rios Mercedes boots, which I paid for with my credit card. I went into the Galleria store to pick up the purchase and was helped by Ann who was also the person who assisted me during my phone transaction 2 days prior. Ann was friendly and nice, but seemed somewhat uneasy when I approached her in the store. My purchase was located on the paid shelf awaiting pickup, however Ann informed that she needed to recheck the payment to insure "nothing had changed with my payment since the purchase". I was slightly taken aback by her comment, but ignored it hoping I was just being overly sensitive. Ann verified the purchase was still valid and informed me everything was still good. She preceded to hand me the box without even the thought of offering me a shopping bag. Seeing that I was a little perplexed by this action, Ann then offered me a bag for my purchase and I couldn't help but wonder why it wasn't her first thought to provide me with a bag. I was very impressed by the store and saw several items that I definitely would return to purchase, but I felt a little unwelcome on that day. I'm going to give it another try and hope for a better experience.

Chad T.

Yelp
I was visiting the area from Minnesota and decided that I needed a new hat. Steve in the hat department was amazing. He spent time helping me with sizing and fit. He steamed and shaped it exactly the way I wanted it. He made sure it was perfect going out the door. He was so wonderful to visit with that I almost didn't want to leave. I can't recommend them enough.

Eric B.

Yelp
I have lived in Texas twice. The first was Graduate School at Texas A&M and the second was in Houston on a work assignment. While I'm perfectly happy to just be visiting the Bayou City, there's a few things I miss besides good BBQ and Tex Mex. One is the whole Kicker Kulture (where dancing to the "Cotton Eyed Joe" taught me the true value of Bull Shit) and the other is a certain politeness where people say "howdy", introduce themselves, look you in the eye and shake your hand. I found both during a recent visit to Pinto Ranch. The store is gorgeous and offers a generous and visually pleasing selection of boots, hats, belts, tack, clothing, and as a bonus Filson products. The prices are a bit dear, but this is definitely one of those places that you get what you pay for in both goods and service.

Yelp
I am so disappointed. Found the perfect skirt for an event, ordered it 2 day air delivery, which would be 3 days before I needed it, and discovered they sent it ground delivery instead, with arrival 2 days after my event. I called customer service, and the best they offered was to stop the ground delivery and have it returned to their facility. Once received at their facility, they would re-send the skirt. Well...do the math...that would mean even more time before I received the skirt. No other offer was suggested (i.e. send it out today for 2 day delivery as was originally requested so it would arrive on Saturday in time for my event). The rep. showed I checked off ground delivery, however, I printed up my order when I placed it, showing 2 day delivery. I also received and email after the order showing arrival for Wed. (i.e. 2 day). If you need something within a week, don't trust their delivery methods, and don't expect customer service to me customer service oriented. Expensive merchandise with poor customer service. I am super disappointed.

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
This is the finest western store in Houston. They have a good selection and great customer service.

Charles P.

Yelp
Went in to buy a hat. Got the hat. It's a nice hat. Also got a forced earful of right-wing political crap from the salesman. It was uninvited. Don't assume that because I'm a white male in a Western store means that 1. I belong to a particular political party, and 2. more importantly, that I want to hear about a salesperson's political leanings. It's not why I was there.

Becky W.

Yelp
High end western shop. Found a nice Stetson. Great service. Visiting Houston and we're sure to co.e back.

Richard H.

Yelp
I decided to take a ride over and look. Was greeted by friendly staff thru out my entire stay. As for me, I was looking for black Lucchese boots. I went even the night before to Lucchese outlet store, Staff was nice but I didn't buy. Anyway, the store (Pinto Ranch) is clean and bright loaded with western wear. As soon as you walk in women clothing items on the right and men's on the left and boots in the back. In the middle silver selection buckles, cufflinks, etc. I met a salesman (Verne) who help me find what I was looking for after 3 attempts in finding the right fit. I got my black Lucchese boot with accessories. Hand Made in the USA right in Tx. Also I got an education on not all boots are made equal. It was explained to us that some boots are misleading in saying hand made, somewhat hand made then machined. Boots that are expensive is truly hand made. My girlfriend bought boots too with accessories Plus having them shipped back home, we saved on tax. Now that's service. Pinto Ranch - Service impeccable and Quality is second to none. I will go back in the future for all my western wear needs. Thank You Pinto Ranch.

Leslie F.

Yelp
Beautiful inventory. Almost empty store. Not one person asked if they could help me as I went back and forth looking at women's boots. The salespeople were very glad to visit with the established customers who were there, but completely disinterested in making new ones. Sad as we were in town for a short time and ready to shop.

Ray R.

Yelp
"High End" retailers tend to have the reputation of being snobbish to customers. I'm no celebrity or sports figure, but that didn't matter to the staff at Pinto Ranch. I received personalized attention from Verne while selecting a pair of Black Jack boots. The sell was more of an experience than what one would find at the run-of-the-mill stores. I received an education about the boots, which made it a unique experience. Yes there's an expense, but there's a sizable difference between their product line versus the cheapie stuff.

Mike S.

Yelp
I you are looking to buy from pinto ranch online I would advise to look somewhere else. They do not stand behind the product even when it's made by a company like Lucchese with poor workmanship. Instead of replacing the items they want you to send it to them so they can send it to Lucchese for them to fix the poor workmanship. Then you may get it back in 6 to 8 weeks. Instead of replacing the item.

Meg Ann L.

Yelp
I bought a jacket to wear to a wedding and needed to exchange it for a different size. Jennifer went above and beyond helping me. She held the jacket in the size I needed since it was the last one. The day the old me came in she had the new one ready to go out so I would get it in time to wear this Saturday. Jennifer you were amazing and I will do business with you again. Thank you!!!

Angelica R.

Yelp
On 12/26 at 6 pm at the KATY Mills location, the ppl on staff were very rude & unhelpul to us. They gave us ugly looks and mean mugged us out the store. Will NOT be returning

Cameron Y.

Yelp
I came here last Saturday for the Old Gringo trunk show. My Mom was in the market for a new pair of boots for Christmas and she wanted my help deciding. It was great to be able to visit with the Old Gringo representative to discuss the new styles of boots and get feedback on what his thoughts were on them. My Mom decided on a new pair and it will arrive at the store next week. The prices for Old Gringos don't vary much from store to store, so even though this is a very high end store, the prices are competitive when it comes to these boots. As far as the rest of the store, they have some great western apparel and belts. The prices are high, but they are great quality. The jewelry, on the other hand, is the same selection I can find at the Gem and Jewelry show that comes to Reliant a few times a year. Knowing the prices there, I cannot fathom spending twice as much here at Pinto Ranch. It is the SAME jewelry, not copies or fakes, but the same.

James P.

Yelp
Very high end shop. Everything looks fashionable but I have to be honest, I could never put down $250 on one shirt. That is insane. Have to say staff is very friendly though.

Brenna B.

Yelp
This review is about the help I had with a sales associate - Lisa. She was friendly when I walked in. I was returning some jewelry I'd had for awhile but not been able to wear or return earlier. She looked up the purchase and I expected her to tell me I could return it since it had been over 60 days. No comment made. She took the return easily. I looked around for something to use my store credit on. She made suggestions, was happy to open several jewelry cases, was patient and gave an honest opinion when asked. Since I didn't find anything that visit, she was happy to offer an alternative that I was pleased with. I enjoyed working with Lisa very much and will request her in the future.

Chris L.

Yelp
First time to this store and when you walk in you are sized up by the staff to see how much money you have. If you don't meet their standard they will not help you. I was not once greeted by the staff nor asked if i needed any help finding anything. If you have to shop for western wear i would not recommend you shop here. Go to Cavenders or Boot Barn much more friendly customer service.

P C.

Yelp
Friendly, Excellent, Knowledgeable staff, Superb clothing and atmosphere. Trunk shows are exciting. This is a high end clothing store and worth every dollar spent!

Angela F.

Yelp
The staff at this store are outstanding, and their boot and clothing selections are as well. If you're looking for quality western wear, and boots, this is definitely the place. As for those concerned about them being too expensive or pricey, Pinto Ranch does have a good selection of sale merchandise, including boots; and they also have great 'trunk shows', and special events. Because of their great customer service, we've been customers for a long time, and I owe my collection of Old Gringo boots to them!

Doug D.

Yelp
We were shopping in the Galleria area and saw the store and decided to stop in to see what PR had. While the stuff was very nice and very expensive, the staff followed us around everywhere we went. They made us feel very uncomfortable and as if we were going to steal something. I understand that they probably get commission but they need to understand that some people just want to look.

Anthony D.

Yelp
Great experience at Pinto Ranch. On our plane ride to Vegas we pulled out the Southwest magazine that is where we saw the ad for Pinto Ranch. By Chance the Mall was directly across he street from The Venation where we were staying. We were helped By Deanna. She is very knowledgeable extremely helpful and went above and beyond.

Paul T.

Yelp
I have shopped at Pinto Ranch for several years, and before its beginning many of the staff were at Stelzig's in the Galleria area. The sales people are very knowledgable, friendly and accessible. That's one of the things I really like at Pinto, being able to spend some time talking quality with the staff. I have bought some very fine boots there after a lot of discussion to understand the quality that went into them. Pinto certainly has a high-end element but they also have a big variety of modestly priced and well made khakis and sport coats. You can get your rodeo duds there, they've got Clint Orms buckles, they'll clean and shape your Stetson, and there's a guy in the back making saddles. Pinto is not just one of the best clothing stores in Houston, it's an authentic emporium of the gear and clothing that settled the West.

Tyrone S.

Yelp
I purchase a belt from them about a year ago. This $100 belt metal tip came off and they repair it free of charge. Three weeks later it came off again. I guess I was expecting more for a $100 belt.

Ann E.

Yelp
While I still love the merchandise carried in this store, I don't care for the way the salespeople, especially the women that work the ladies' area, fight over customers. I don't know if they work on commission or what but it's unprofessional to do this in front of customers. It's happened more than once recently. I ended up walking out twice and going elsewhere because I didn't appreciate the poor behavior. I can order the same merchandise online, tax free, free shipping. I'm not sure I'll keep putting up with this.

Laura G.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this store is about it for moderately upscale western clothing for women in Houston. They have a very limited selection of styles, colors (limited to black, white, red and turquoise) and sizes. I loved a vintage dress but they only carry it in a size that's tall enough for a woman 6 ft tall. I called the designer for her thoughts and she was willing to make one to my specifications at no additional charge if Pinto Ranch would measure me and handle the transaction. They didn't want to. Oh well, I went from there to Nordstrom to return something and as I whined to the saleslady, she directed me to a very similar dress in a range of colors and sizes - one was perfect for me and I'm all set. At least Pinto Ranch was good about a return, I will say that for them.

Lauren D.

Yelp
Great customer service will keep me coming back here! Needed to return an item I hadn't worn and couldn't locate my receipt. They had all my information in their computer and were very gracious about helping with my return. Browsed around the store a bit, and they were very attentive and helpful as well with my shopping experience. Very few stores these days that exemplify good customer service - this one is a great representation of holding true to that value. Will definitely be back to get Rodeo ready in a few months!

Phai G.

Yelp
Great store. Very friendly and helpful staff. They will find what you're looking for or make similar suggestions. Very knowledgable. We buy all our boots here. Great selection and they make great gifts. My left foot is larger than my right and they always stretch out the left boot so it fits perfectly. They also shine and repair boots. My husband and I have also purchased clothes at Pinto Ranch. Good quality. Cute dresses for women. I recommend this store to anyone looking for western wear clothing or boots.

Nona O.

Yelp
I recently bought a pair of red and black Double D Ranch Ammunition boots that were #1 on my bucket list. My niece is getting married in Denver in October, so the challenge was to find just the right dress to go with those boots. Pinto Ranch had an elegant black jewelry dress along with a silver cross belt that matched the crosses on those boots perfectly. When they arrived, the dress and belt were everything I expected and more! Gabrielle also enclosed a very nice hand-written thank-you note in the shipment. Pinto Ranch comes through with quality and excellent customer service. I just wish they had a store in the Austin area!

Joel L.

Yelp
I have shopped at Pinto Ranch in Houston, Texas over the last ten years. The staff is very friendly and very attentive to customer needs. They carry an upscale line of clothing, boots and accessories. They have the best selection of exotic leathers in the city. Dave and his staff have always exceeded my expectations. If you want great service and the greatest selection of western wear in the city visit Pinto Ranch, you will not be disappointed.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
The most amazing store with a very knowledgeable staff. From the moment you walk in the store, they sales people make you feel welcome- helpful but not pushy! The merchandise they carry is second to none and the boot selection is fantastic.

Andie N.

Yelp
Attended Las Vegas store nearly 2 years ago and received great help and advice in choosing a cow(girl) hat and blouse. Friendly attitude too. They have quality stuff e.g. Rocketbuster, Stallion, Lucchese classic boots. If you want cheaper boots, clothes, belts, buckles go to Boot Barn etc which generally do not have the same quality stuff. There is a market for quality still!!
