Google
We visited Pio Pio and were delighted. We ordered the rotisserie chicken and the chicken soup, both with a delicious homemade flavor. The food was fresh, plentiful, and full of taste. On top of that, the customer service was excellent—very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommended! Our waitress was Matteo

Me and my family had a great time! The food was great! The service was also amazing! The juices are more like smoothies and I loved it! 10/10 I recommend!

The food was DELICIOUS! This is our first time trying Pio Pio and we will definitely be coming back. The portions were perfect, I shared a half chicken with my 2 kids and we still had leftovers.

Google
Very pleasant location, food was great and tasty. However the service wasn’t very pleasant, the waiter did a mental order and forgot soup and said that they make the soup fresh even when he didn’t bring it, such an excuse. The food still was great and tasty. Still very recommended and tasty chicken.

Google
We visited this restaurant twice during our trip to Orlando—once for lunch and once for dinner—and both experiences were fantastic in terms of food quality. The dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and truly exceeded our expectations. However, during our second visit, we noticed that an 18% tip was automatically added to the bill without any prior notice. While we usually tip generously, we would have appreciated being informed about this beforehand. I recommend that future diners carefully review their checks to avoid any surprises. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, and we would still recommend this place—just be mindful of the automatic gratuity!

The food is absolutely delicious! The service, the atmosphere, everything is amazing. Very clean, well organized, and with great attention to detail from the moment you walk in. I’ve been here several times, and the food always has the same authentic and delicious flavor. I 100% recommend this place.

Google
Wow! A most welcoming vibe and helpful guidance from my waiter, Ronald. The menu choices were tough to decide between since each offered so much visual and descriptive temptation! I settled on the Bandeja Paisa and, my goodness, did I make an excellent choice! Accompanied by a Happy Hour Crooked Can on tap and, voila! Everything was so fresh and seasoned to point! Can't say enough other than if you can go with a group that is good with sharing, you're likely to find so many excellent dishes to taste!! Thank you!

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with the warmest smiles and the nicest staff. Our waitress Karina was absolutely amazing. She was so energetic, patient, and on top of everything. The food was delicious, but just the service alone was amazing. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
They have a water problem/issue so we ended up ordering takeout. Their Chicken still tastes as how we've been enjoying them in New York. Plenty of portions too for those plantains. They were accommodating to accept a takeout order even though they were officially close due to their water issue. Nice friendly staff compared to Apopka branch. We also tried some chicken and beef empanadas- I'll settle for the beef! They're more delish than the chicken.

Yelp
Good Food and good atmosphere. Service was ok. The Hostess, a young woman that I wish I would've gotten her name, had NO PROFESSIONAL TRAINING whatsoever. We walked in (a party of 5) and asked if there were any tables available. She asked how many and we said 5. She said no. That's it. Nothing else. so I looked at her waiting to see if she would say something like, No, I'm sorry we're full and the wait time would be 45 minutes, 2 hours or something. So as I'm looking at her she says with an attitude, unless you want to wait 10 minutes. ummmm, what? lol. we said we would wait. The issue with the waiter, as I said earlier service was ok. UNTIL! He gave us the check and decided NOT TO TELL US that he and/or the restaurant decided that their service was worthy of a 20% TIP and included in the bill. Even though we always leave 20% the fact that they didn't tell us is a sneaky and crappy thing to do. This will be the last time we go to this restaurant. There's always, Aji Ceviche (our family's favorite), Taste of Peru, Memories of Peru, etc. I'm wondering how many times they got me with that, because we've been there a few times. I know the one on Semoran hasn't done that and I've been there with a bigger party. Once we left, although we felt taken advantage of, we kindly said thank you to the hostess and she looked up, ignored us and put here head back down. BY DEFINITION A HOSTESS'S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES REVOLVE AROUND CREATING A WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE AND ENSURING A SMOOTH DINING EXPERIENCE FOR GUESTS. For the Waiter, STOP TRYING TO GET AWAY WITH THEFT. At least you'll have an extra space in your little parking lot.

Yelp
This restaurant has been on my list of place to visit for a while and it did not disappoint! Their parking lot is very small so it was a bit of a struggle, but the service was great and notably a lot of the staff members have been a part of pio pio for a long time, which is always a plus! Our waitress kindly answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about the menu. Their cassava is very tasty and I would definitely go back for more! Their green sauce is also sooo delicious I added it to everything I ate. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Exceptional food and service. We had four of us that had their roasted chicken and grilled steak. All exceptional.

Yelp
Delicious food, speedy service, and classy atmosphere. They do charge an obligatory service fee regardless of party size which I'm not particularly a fan of but this wasn't enough to mark down for me. You get a lot for what you order, more than most other restaurants of the same caliber. I also like the tablets as the menu, neat touch! Would highly recommend if in the area.

Yelp
Still as good as I remember. Great food, friendly service, great atmosphere. Try it if you haven't. Their tropical fruit juices are good. I tried soursop for the first time (you can get with water or with milk...recommend milk) and it's a unique flavor I'd never had before.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the portions were huge. The waiter was very polite. We would go back again.

Yelp
Excellent quality, tasty food, at decent prices with great service. I've been here twice now and am definitely looking forward to future visits. They have a great happy hour, and the restaurant has a relaxing, modern atmosphere. Definitely try one of their empanadas as an appetizer, as they are well worth it. I've also had their skirt steak and the Chaufa Mixed Rice. They also have many refreshing, appetizing cocktails.

Yelp
We recently visited Pio Pio near International Drive for a lunch disappoint! We've heard great things about this Colombian-Peruvian fusion spot. The service from Luis Gabriel was top-notch--friendly and attentive. Ambiance was very family friendly. The food was flavorful and delicious. I couldn't decide between the ceviche or bandeja paisa, Their garlic house sauce is amazing, and we finished our meal with some of the best flan. Pio Pio is definitely going on our list of must-visit Latin spots in Central Florida. Great food, great prices.

Yelp
If you're going to eat around this area. This is definitely a must stop by. We have a Pio Pio on NYC, and I use to praise how amazing it was. Sadly they lost their touch, but NOT here! The service, the food, the atmosphere. It hits all the spots in every which way you can think of. We started with the Tostones with Guac and topped off with Chicharon. Let me tell you. This was a game changer. It's like you expect to have this every time now and all the time. Guac was smooth, the tostones was fried perfectly. Not one dry banana topped off with chicharon. COME ON NOW! What else do you need!? Our main was the Bandeja paisa with the skirt steak added. Trust me you want the skirt steak! Perfectly medium rare topped with everything else you know is going to be amazing. This was a feast for a king! Our waiter was even nice enough to let us order a quarter of the rotisserie chicken and that green sauce! and the white!? which i never had, WHICH was amazing! If you going to bring a date. This is the spot! If it's just a bunch of your Broski's or ladies' night THIS IS THE SPOT. It's been a while since I praised on a restaurant this good. Management, chef, waiters, bartenders, they work well, and they show it. This place is a definitely come back.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. The meal was so nostalgic to the location in Queens, New York. Loved everything about the atmosphere and our waitress was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Can't wait to be back. Wish there was one in Tampa.

Yelp
This is now one of my husband's favorite restaurants. The calamari in a marinara sauce with fried plantains was an appetizer that I ordered for my meal. It was so delicious and I had plenty leftover to take home. My husband also took home more than half of his food. The steak that came with his meal was extremely thin, like under half an inch. The egg on top of the steak was more cooked than we would like it. The beans were his favorite. We were eating it like a soup before we could ask the waiter what it was. He said we were supposed to mix it with the rice. It was definitely good on its own. The deep fried pork skin and the sausage he really liked. The corn cake was pretty bland. The green and white sauces made everything better. They even gave us a few containers to go with our leftovers. This restaurant is conveniently located near Universal. We will be back.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing when it comes to food! I had no complaints , the menu was on an iPad which I thought was pretty cool. My mango smoothie with milk was great, I can always go for another one. Empanadas here are a hit!! The restaurant is nicely decorated inside and kept very clean. Service was decent and the server did come and check on us. We will definitely come back!

Victor G.

Yelp
Poor Service and high prices!!! Porsions very limited and to much time to prepare and serve!
google avatar

Kelli G.

Yelp
Excited about this fusion, Peruvian/ Colombia and wow it didn't disappoint. We started with the Guacamole mixed w/ fried pork inside served with tostones and wow! So tasty I had a glass of the house rose which was ok a little sweeter than I like. My main was the Peruvian ceviche it was a very large size which was great just needed a little more juice But it was very tasty. My partner had the Chaufa mixed rice & he loved it and also had left overs. The portion sizes are amazing and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Only downfall is the parking is limited in the main parking area, but they allow you to use the hotel behind the restaurant parking lot.. don't park at 7'11 you will get towed ..

Yelp
Had early dinner or late lunch with my boyfriend for new years. We were shopping in the area and haven't been to pio pio for a long time. There was plenty of seating when we walked in around 330. It was happy hour too. 330-6 I believe. I went for a sangria and my boyfriend did the caipirinha. I ordered the breaded chicken for my meal. My boyfriend ordered the grilled steak. I enjoyed my dish. It came with rice and beans plus tostones. Our food also came with the white and green sauce. I liked the white sauce better. My boyfriend kind of enjoyed his dish. Skirt steak was a little chewy. Our server was awesome. He was bartending at the bar and waiting on some surrounding tables. Friendly and attentive. Had a good meal overall.

Yelp
After a fun family outing we all decided to have Peruvian food for dinner. Pio Pio was close and headed to the restaurant. The parking lot was full when we arrived, but was able to find street parking. Our party of 15 people (a mix of adults and kids) was taken care of by the wonderful staff. It was a busy evening at the restaurant. The wait time for a time for a table was decent. Once seated our drink orders were taken. I browsed through their bountiful menu. The lomo saltado caught my eye and became my dinner choice. This was a wonderful dish. Tender steak, crispy fries, fresh bell peppers and onions topped with two sunny side up eggs and a side of white rice. A very delicious meal! I'm glad our family enjoyed our dinner at Pio Pio! I would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Its a busy place. Small parking lot so we parked on the street. We didn't have to wait which was nice. Our server was nice and they don't check up on you much and I didn't mind. Nice restaurant, nice layout. Food was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
First time coming to this place and I have to give it 5 starts. Super clean and really nice place to grab dinner with family.
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
We enjoyed our lunch here and had some left over to take home. Most meals are $20-$30 and they don't have a set lunch menu, and the atmosphere is more upscale, but you don't have to dress up by any means. The server was nice and the food was great. We will be back, probably for dinner.

Yelp
Pio Pio delivers on what you'd expect from a solid Latin restaurant they had such authentic flavors, well-prepared food, and generous portions. I finally got around to trying this spot, and while it was a great experience overall. I ordered the Pork Wings as an appetizer, which were a first for me. They were incredible crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. . Of course, I had to go with the classic Rotisserie Chicken, which was juicy, well-seasoned, and roasted just right. You can tell they take their time to get that perfect balance of crispy skin and moist, flavorful meat. The sides were just as good the rice cooked to perfection and tostones that were crispy(had to add salt myself), and paired perfectly with their sauces. The authenticity of the food is what really stands out here. You can tell it's made with care, using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. It's not just another chain trying to imitate Latin flavors this is the real deal. That said, the food alone makes Pio Pio worth coming back to. If you're looking for authentic Latin flavors with high-quality ingredients, this place is a solid choice. I'll definitely be returning!

Yelp
Came based off a recommendation from a family member. From the outside, it doesn't look appealing - windows are tinted black and you can't see in. However inside, you can see lots of chicken being roasted and a fun ambiance. The staff were friendly and passed out two sauces - a garlic sauce and a spicy sauce which are perfect to pair with anything. I got the skirt steak and it was cooked to my liking and flavorful. With the recommendation of the staff, we got the cassava as the side. We also got the lomo saltado and it was pretty flavorful. Although all items were delicious, the star was the chicken. It was very juicy and flavorful. The only thing the chicken could improve on would be the chicken skin. The skin was a little soggy and not crispy. Overall a great spot for food.
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
This restaurant fits the "don't judge a book by its cover" trope. It doesn't look very appealing from the outside and the interior reminds me of most sit-down fast food restaurants. However, the overall quality and taste in food is definitely amazing. My table ordered chicken empanadas. They looked and tasted so delicious, I forgot to take a picture until there was only one left. I also ordered the Chaufa Mixta. It's a rice dish with sweet plantains, beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was a little bit lemony for my taste, but still incredibly flavorful and well seasoned! Next time I go, I'll be ordering the shrimp chaufa because it was my favorite protein of the three. The service was very nice and always made sure our tables were clean and waters were refilled. Parking was also very easy given that the place has its own lot.

Yelp
What an amazing find. Totally recommend anyone that's even close to this restaurant to stop in. We met the owners/manager who was so sweet and kind to my husband. We were not familiar with Columbian food at all and she offered perfect recommendations. Everything is phenomenal, how clean the restaurant is to the service as soon as you walk in the front door.
google avatar

Yelp
¡Totalmente recomendado!

Yelp
We have been driving past here for years....friends have been twice and tonight invited us! We've been snoozing on this one! If you go you must get an order of the Tostones.Omg, best Tostones I had ever had. Served with house made guacamole get two orders if you're a party of 4 or more. We did an order of the pork wings and a meat and chicken patties (empanadas). I wasn't a big fan of the patties, I'm an Argentinean empanada kinda gal. Everyone enjoyed the wings. I love rotisserie chicken, but this is next level marinated and perfectly crisp. Imagine the best greek chicken you've ever had times ten. My friend had the Chaufa Rice, which is a peruvian-chinese fried rice preparation think Peruvian Benihana. One of the teenagers had steak which was prepared beautifully, another had a beautifully tender fall apart salmon, the eldest had the country plate with chicharones. Both husbands had the breaded steak which I sampled, think a flavorful breaded thin country steak. A table for 7 seated at an 8 top on the Thursday after Valentine's Day. An Orlando miracle! Definitely stop in if you're visiting Universal or looking for a new restaurant with terrific food.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Delicious food and lovely waitress! I was in Orlando for work and came here with my coworkers. They have really good cocktails - I got the Calpirinha which had the Brazilian spirit. I can't remember what my coworkers got but the drinks were delicious as well. I recommend getting the dark meat over the white meat if you're here for the chicken. Unless you're trying to eat healthy, the white meat is very dry and not tender. I really like the chicken soup that came with one of the chicken entrees. We also got the mushed green tomato and guacamole as appetizers. The highlight from this meal was the mushed green tomato. I've never had those before and the garlic white sauce that comes with is so pungent in a good way!

Yelp
"They're your tastebuds! Satisfy them!" I've eaten here at Pio Pio many times before, including at their old location across the street when it was a smaller restaurant. Times have changed, venues have moved, but the quality of food is still as excellent as it was years ago. One of my favorite dishes here is the 1/4 Chicken, but I went after the 1/2 rotisserie chicken (dark meat) instead. So, so good. I will always get that dish with beans and rice, and tostones (fried plantain). If I'm real hungry, I'll order beef or chicken Empanadas. Cooked to perfection! Good with the white or green (spicy) sauce. If I really want to go all out, I would get the Fried Red Snapper (at Market Price) with the same sides. Such a beautiful dish to behold. For locals and vacationers alike, try this place out. You can't go wrong! "They're your tastebuds! Satisfy them!" -Allan Delacruz

Yelp
Wow, great little restaurant after a day at Universal, amazing very tasty food, drinks on point and attentive waitstaff in a local atmosphere
google avatar

Renee U.

Yelp
Pros: ambience is calming and classy Cons: food was mediocre, the whole snapper ($34.75) was small and was not as fresh (fishy & not marinated) comparable to other peruvian restaurants that serve this dish... it came with a salad (meh), tostones & fried yuca( about 3 - 4 pieces each) - those were good, cant go wrong with that. Pescado (peruvian) Ceviche was good but not great $24.75 Overall, pricey and not great. Maybe other dishes are better but not coming back.

Yelp
Found this place while my husband and I were arguing about what to eat while vacationing at universal studios last week. We weren't aware that it was literally right behind the resort we stayed at! I'm a huge fan of Peruvian food and I also love Colombian food, so this was just the perfect place to try before coming back home to Maryland. Needless to say, so glad we tried it. My husband and I shared the Bandeja Paisa (5/5 stars) it was soooo good. And it was def enough for the both of us. BUT the arepas were the size of dollar coins which was extremely disappointing causeeee why are they so small??? I had to order an extra one for like $1.50 which is crazy cause they're so tiny. We also shared with our daughter a guacamole topped with chicharrón (there's a name for it but I can't remember it and I can't find it on the menu). It was absolutely delicious! Even with the tomatoes in the guac (I hate tomatoes in my guac!). The tostones were perfectly fried, the guac was seasoned well and the addition of the chicharrón was perfection. Now, the reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars was because we ordered a 1/4 white chicken for our daughter and the size of the chicken breast was measly. It was so small for it being $18! I wish I wouldve taken a picture of it. The white rice wasn't seasoned like true Peruvian rice is, which was disappointing. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive and helpful. I would love to visit this place again when we get the chance to be back in Florida.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
OMG so good. Yeah, it's a mashup of Peru and Colombia, but the mashup works and the food is so tasty. Some tips: - Arrive hungry! Those portions are large - Despite being on the appetizers list, the tasty ceviche is easily an entree if you don't share it - Drinks are STIFF, do not order the caipirinha or similar high-alcohol drinks if you're the driver. You'll be calling a cab. - Yes, the jalapeno sauce really is spicy. All this, and below-average prices. Definitely a standout restaurant for Orlando's tourist district.
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely delicious. We got seated right away and all our food came out so quickly. It was all hot and fresh and tasted amazing. Definitely get the fried calamari, it melts in your mouth. Our waitress was also the bartender so she didn't come around too often, but we had no problems with our meal so that was okay. It is very loud inside so just be prepared for that. The parking lot is also very very small, so carpool if you're going with a big group!

Yelp
I first came across this Orlando gem while visiting a friend on a stopover from a trip to the Promised Land. I asked the sweet young lady at the hotel next door, "where do you like to eat around here". Clean spacious and friendly staff. On my third and fourth visits (all in the same three day period) I fell in more in love with Pío Pío! The food is great! Some of the best Ceviche I've ever had. Fresh, lot's of flavor and you get a nice sized portion. The Rotisserie Chicken is absolutely perfect. Not dry, salty or undercooked. Cooked perfectly and it's moist and juicy. On another working trip I had the Grilled Pork Chops. Another item cooked to perfection. You will not be disappointed in any item from the menu. The staff is wonderful, helpful and patient. Stop in for a bite or wind away an afternoon at the bar. This will continue to be one of my stops while in the Mouse House.

Yelp
Obsessed Obsessed Obsessed with this place ! We loved it so much we came for dinner two days back to back ! it's the perfect dinner when you want to eat out but still have homey tasty food. The service was pleasant and the ambiance is very family oriented. I wish we had a Pio Pio in Miami. The next time i'm in orlando i AM stopping by! as a matter of fact i'll even make a drive just to eat here again lol !

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday night for dinner and we had a good time. The service was fast and the server was friendly. The restaurant had a clean feel to it with a nice relaxed vibe to it. I started with a red sangria which was pretty good not to sweet. The chicken soup to start had a lot of flavor and I definitely recommend. For main we had the bandeja paisa and the churrasco which was cooked perfectly . While most of the food tasted good, we felt that the steaks specifically the churrasco was lacking seasoning. Overall we had a good time and the food was ok. I would give them another try.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
We haven't been to Pio Pio in forever and this is actually in a different location than we have. The rotisserie chicken here is so good. The best we have had in a while. The seasoning is perfect. It's so juicy and it really is the best. We ordered the whole chicken and you can order sides. They also have it as entrees where you can order 1/4 or 1/2 chicken that includes sides but buying the whole chicken and sides separately was better price wise. This was awesome and we would come back just for this chicken. Service not so great. But the chicken alone will make us come back. Ambiance is loud when you first walk in, but luckily we were in another side room that looks like it was enclosed and is full a/c! Parking is very squishy.

Yelp
Cigar city Jai Alai IPA Beef empanada Pork with corn bread Quarter rotisserie chicken (item #1) on other side of menu with Jucca. (Recommended by waiter) chicken was cooked perfectly. Wait staff friendly and happy. Wow, just amazing! LIFE IS GOOD! Ambiance of place is great

Yelp
Excellent food and service. The atmosphere is very quaint as if you traveled elsewhere. Every dish we had was a 10. Highly Recommended!!

Yelp
Consistently good food and service. We sat by the bar on a high top table. The waiter/bartender was very welcoming and attentive. If you like Peruvian food give this place a try.

Yelp
..... ITS STILL GOOOOD! Years later and we wanted to eat Pio Pio! It's been years since our last visit, and it is still delicious!

Yelp
Delicious food! We ordered the Pork Shank and Lomo Saltado. They bring out a garlic sauce and a spicy (very!) green sauce right away and we put them on everything. They're deliciously addictive. The pork shank was described as crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and boy was he right! It was the most tender pork I've ever had. The service was great. We would definitely return.

Yelp
Amazing food. Whole fish. Pork Skin with Corn Cake (Chicharrón con Arepa. Even my picky husband LOVED IT

Yelp
The food is great once you find a parking spot in the tight lot and a server acknowledges your existence. We say for about ten minutes with our party of six and asked for a server twice before finally getting one assigned. Once we did we were off to the races. Thankfully they also have paper tablecloths and crayons for entertainment while you wait. We ordered empanadas de carne y pollo y yucca frita for appetizers to go with the two house sauces - one is a garlic sauce and the other is their green hot sauce which is perfect for empanadas. For entrees we ordered the bandeja paisa which comes with rice, beans, ripe plantains, steak, a fried egg, chicharrón, sausage, avocado and a small arepa. Come hungry if you order this because it's a lot of food! We also ordered a large chicken soup even though it was nearly 100 degrees outside - sometimes you just need soup! The broth was great and the perfect balance of salty and comforting. The only negative on this dish were the bones - I had several small ones randomly in mine and would have enjoyed it more without them but understand home style typically is served like this. The kids ordered salchipapas (hot dogs and fries) and Lulo to drink. We also had a jugo mora (blackberry juice) and one mora con leche. Overall the food was great and we enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely go back but first thoughts had us doubting our decision - glad we stuck it out and had a great family meal!

Yelp
Nice people, gives very mom & pop & family orientated although it may not be .. which is always great. The garlic shrimp with tostones appetizer was greaaat, my son had a skirt steak & fries. He enjoyed the steak but said the fries needed to have some form of salt upon cooking. the lomo saltado was good & had a lot of food on the plate. I also had tres leche cake which was very very good. Nice, relaxed type of atmosphere.

Yelp
New to Orlando and this was near my Hotel and the reviews were good. The parking is very tight not a lot of spaces but it was early Sunday Afternoon so I managed to get a spot. I ordered the whole Red Snapper because I love snapper. Came with fried Yuca and Tostones (fried green plantains) The fish was fried way to dry and not very flavorful, they provided two sauces a spicy one and the other garlic flavored creamy base. I had to put the sauce on the fish in order to eat it. The Yuca was the best thing on that plate and the plantains was good also. I would go back and get something else because based on how everything else tasted I believe the other food may be good also, just not the fish. The service was great and the ambiance was also very comfortable.

Yelp
The food is 10/10. We got the guacharrón appetizer which is guac with pieces of chicharrones and paired with fried green plantains. A tasty twist on chips and guac. For entrees, we ordered the osso buco and rotisserie chicken. The pork shank was incredibly crispy on the outside, and tender fall off the bone on the inside. Rotisserie chicken is their specialty, and it's as good as I expected. Flavorful, juicy, and goes great with the garlic sauce. Lastly, their drinks (both alcoholic and tropical specialty juice) are delicious as well. Great value for the quantity and quality of food. You need to try this place if you're looking for a dinner spot after going to Universal!
