Del Glaciar Pioneros

Be careful when you book this place - they will not find your reservation and payment, we booked private room but they gave us dormitory. They don’t even provide towels 🤯🤯🤯 Highly not recommend. All rooms need maintenance. It’s better to pay for some dollars more and go to normal place but not book this place!!!!!

I would like to recommend the "Trip Alternativo" to Perito Moreno glacier. Apart from watching the glacier, it also included a short hike on the Magellan"s Peninsula and a drive through the countryside with the guide telling us about the history of Patagonia. I was especially impressed by the guide's knowledge and passion for the region, which added a lot of value to the trip.

I stayed at **Del Glaciar Pioneros / Hostel Los Pioneros Calafate** on a private room as part of a tour package, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. First, the shower drain was completely blocked and the water would not drain at all. I reported this issue twice, but nothing was fixed during my stay. Second, the towels and bedsheets had stains from previous guests, which is absolutely unacceptable (not to mention that I was asked only on my last day of stay if I would like to have the room cleaned..). The breakfast was very poor, consisting only of white bread, small jam packets, and some milk and tea - no variety at all. I ended up buying my own food. Additionally, I was placed in one of the last rooms on the property, where the internet connection was very weak and kept dropping constantly. Overall, this accommodation did not meet even basic expectations, especially for a place advertised with two stars. I cannot recommend staying here based on my experience.

One of the BEST hostels that we have stayed in Patagonia ( Chile & Argentina) so far!!! Comfortable beds, with curtains, plenty of showers and washrooms, well organized, big kitchen, breakfast included, Great cost /benefit. I recommend it! No need to pay more in a fancier hostel. This one is excellent.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful, included breakfast, and had a nice area to relax. The room was a bit old, but fully functional to meet our needs. The private room was affordable as well which was a nice reprieve from some of the other very expensive prices in Patagonia.

Is that true that argentina is selling her lands for free ? Wow impressive how dumb this president is? 🧃

I liked the hostel! Great atmosphere, staff is super friendly and breakfast (which is included) is good. The private room was fine for the price. Just a bit noisy and the the water in the bathtub didn't drain properly. Location was a bit out of the center, but they arrange taxis for you directly, so it wasn't a big deal.

We stayed here for 1 night in a 4 bed dorm. The room was very comfortable and warm. There was also extra blankets in case we needed them. We had dinner there and were all very happy with our food. The breakfast was good. The staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend staying here!
