Pioneer's Grill

Pioneers is at Perry’s Bridge which is a popular spot. The setup was good and the food tasty. The service however left a lot be desired… We wandered about, like many other customers trying to get any attention for anybody about seating or menus or just about anything We all just wandered about and found menus behind the counter and went and found seats The wait was >40mins for food

Visited Pioneer's Grill for the reason of enjoying crocodile steak. Unfortunately, no crocodile. Also, no Kudu steak. No Beyerskloof Pinotage. Not a good start to a Supper. Excellent service. Wine is well priced. Interesting, printed menu in a newspaper format. I enjoyed the Springbuck Carpaccio. My husband's pototato skins for a starter was tasty too. My husband's spare ribs weren't really as expected. Very little meat. Pap & Sheba was welcomed. My fillt with pepper sauce was unfortunately not medium rare, as requested. However, enjoyed it with mash. Hope to find venison next time.

Great time! The waitress was really nice! We have some laughs together Food was quick (normally takes ages everywhere) served and it was delicious. We ordered the Pioneer's burger and a pepper steak. Desserts can be improved, especially the red velvet as didn't taste like red velvet

There were 5 adults and 3 kids. The waitress was great, but the food was not only inedible it was served raw. We had 4 different cuts of meat, all were served raw. I got grilled onions and mushrooms, they were served in separate bowls, which is fine, I tell you that for distinction. The onions were ok, undercooked, no seasoning. The mushrooms were awful, they were not cooked with butter, garlic or any other seasoning. 4 of the 5 adults didn't finish their dinner.

Honestly great The steak came out exactly how I asked for it, juicy and full of flavour. Just had a small problem with portion a bit bigger 🤔 than I expected other than that was pleased with cosy atmosphere,staff were friendly and checked in often without being overbearing will be back for kudu meat next time !-🫡 apologies for my misbehavior and foolish decisions made

The kind man helped us getting meat to braai but unfortunately for our dumb actions it became rotten. I appreciate the staff and the food definitely recommend this spot for the family. RIP Jota ( Professional footballer not my dog)

Lovely meal at the Pioneer’s Grill. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. One of the members of our party is coeliac and so needed to eat gluten free, our waitress was very well informed on what was suitable and what gluten was, even understanding cross-contamination. There was also a wide selection of gluten free food available. Would highly recommend and will be returning. Lovely place!!

Pioneers members on behalf of my foolery, banter and childishness I would like to fault my wrongs on trolling and joking about your hard worked for establishment, I was angry and disappointed at the meat we bought as we thought it was rotten when we had got it and i sincerely regret having any part in wrongfully getting any employee potentially fired. Checkers was not an option hence we bought that meat and it spoilt due to our recklessness. Kind regards
