Pirat Piran

Very good food, but not excellent. The cuttlefish seemed not fresh, nevertheless it tasted good. I preferred if the fish was straight from catch of the day! The shrimp risotto was very good too. The risotto amount was very generous, while there were only 4 pieces of shrimps! There should be more shrimps honestly! The service is excellent and extremely friendly. It is very fast too! The atmosphere is very calm away from the main square noise, yet right on a quiet side of the main sea road Recommend

Stopped in for my wife's birthday — a great choice. The seafood mix plate (around €65) was excellent: fresh, generous, and well-prepared. Enjoyed some nice Prosecco and a good IPA. Unlike many other places, it wasn't crowded, which made for a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Very enjoyable overall — we liked it a lot.

Wow! What a great restaurant. My wife and I stopped in for supper earlier this week. We timed this meal perfectly as people were heading home after the Easter weekend. We loved everything about this meal. We sat in the outside eating area as it was a lovely, warm evening. We timed the meal so we could see the beautiful sunset through the harbour area (see pic). I can't say enough about the service given during our meal. Our waiter was top-notch, friendly, and really made our meal so much more than the great food. I really want to thank him for taking the time to chat with us during courses and drinks. As for the food - delicious. Our starters were very good, and we enjoyed trying the different scallops normally found in our area in Canada. I didn't quite understand the cheese on the calamari, but the calamari was great. As for our mains - wow. I ordered the lobster in pasta. They didn't just use lobster pieces or main parts such as the tail and claws. It was a whole lobster. I have not had a whole lobster in such a long time - and I ate every bit of it. My wife's pork was also perfectly done. Both dishes came out in steel pans that they were cooked in. Great way to serve these meals and a large serving size. We also tried an athentic Slovenian dessert. It may not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed the new tastes from this treat. We also tried their orange wine selection, as this was also something new and also a great choice. There is a lot of seating in the restaurant and great decor. Treat yourself and have a great sunset meal - I would suggest making a reservation. Thank you so much for the great meal.

We had a wonderful dinner at Pirat in Piran! It the seafood was fresh and delicious and amazing value as well! I have to follow a gluten free diet and they were knowledgeable about gluten free options and even gave me separate pre-packaged gluten free bread. The service was very attentive and the ambience was nice as well. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended for a dinner in Piran!

Great food, we had a lovely time, the food genuinely made me happy. We tried 8 different tapas, the seafood feast for two and the tuna steaks, all were really good The wine was very nice too. The owner and staff are all friendly. I would 100% recommend!

For our last evening in Piran we visited this restaurant as we read a lot of good reviews about this place. And they were surely right, the food was nice and the staff were helpful and attentive (despite running around the whole time). We ordered the seafood buzara (with prawns, langoustines, mussels, clams, razor clams and calamari), grilled octopus, fried calamari and tiramisu. The grilled octopus was very soft and very tasty. The seafood buzara was plentiful and was very tasty, even though the langoustines were quite difficult to eat 😶. The tiramisu was very very tasty. I guess it deserves 5 stars but I personally like my prawns when they are deveined. I understand that keeping it intact makes it visually more appealing. Don't get me wrong, the food was really tasty. That small thing was just my own personal remark.

Awesome seafood place. The pirat plate was outstanding. I have tried many seafood places before and i can say, that the seasoning of the food is top notch. Also many vegetarian options as seen in the photo. One thing would just be that the risotto was a bit watery. All in all absolutely recommended.

The food was good, especially the fish. It’s so fresh and delicious 🤤 My friend said the risotto didn’t suit their tastes but I kinda like it, the rice was soft and chewy, its texture gave me good feeling. Overall it was a great experience, nice try 😙
