We ordered the all you can eat sushi, and an order of the seared Cajun tuna. The fish on all our dishes was wonderfully flavored and obviously fresh. The miso soup was a great broth with excellent tofu and no seaweed. I enjoyed 2 pots of the hot tea, which was stunning. The service was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The price for all you can eat was quite reasonable, particularly when compared to other places in the area.

1/30 Came to one of our fav spots for some ayce sushi . We were greeted immediately and sat . Came about 8pm they close at 9. Our waitress Carley was amazing and took care of the 5 of us. Service was fantastic as usual and sushi came out quick . Sushi was delicious as usual too. We were the last to leave at 9 after they closed. Great evening . Enjoy !!!!

Pisces is a perfect place for a dinner date with no wait and yummy food. Mikey, Minnie and Donald's are the best! Can't wait to go back 😎👍

Slowest service I’ve experienced in a while. I get places being busy but the waitress checking on us only a single time after waiting over an hour for rolls to arrive was a bit much. Food tasted good. Lack of attention from our server makes us never want to go back. Nobody should be held hostage waiting for 4 sushi rolls for over an hour. We ended up getting them to go when they finally arrived.

I liked this place so much I ate here twice in a row. The hallmark of good sushi is the rice and usually, all you can eat spots serve Americanized style sushi with poor rice quality. Not here. The rice is well vinegared and seasoned and nicely moist. The raw fish is fresh. There’s a pretty good selection of nigiri with options you might commonly find in Japan but less so in the USA—like raw scallop—so you are not only limited to the nauseating fried, avocado-ed or cream cheese westernized rolls. Though surprisingly, those are done well here. The best part is the super friendly and good vibes. Everyone on the staff, from waiters to the cooks, seem to be friends, joking around with one another while still being attentive to the customers and seem genuinely appreciative of your patronage.

Throughly enjoyed the evening. Recommend not ordering off menu...chefs choice for sure. Sit back, relax and enjoy sushi like you haven't had before. Complex, sophisticated, refreshing and old school. Num.

This is a strip mall location so you are sharing your parking for this restaurant with all the other businesses. I had no problem parking here at 11:00 a.m. but I suspect by noon it is completely packed. Their namesake roll is absolutely delicious and probably the best roll they make. For nigiri, I particularly enjoyed the Mickey mouse. That included Cajun tuna, which had a unique flavor that I haven't tasted compared to the other Cajun tuna or fish recipes at other sushi restaurants. Everything else was just fine. Don't get me wrong, those two particular menu items were delicious. I heard that other people had issues with the service. I did not. I was polite and happy to be there and they were equally polite and on the ball which is great.

Total disappointment. Wasn't at all crowded but service was...bizarre, chaotic, as if everyone was brand new. They were all pleasant, but not on task. Some of my sushi was too bland, in one case awful, as the fish was not fresh. Menu has changed from a year or so ago, and there was less variety. A roll I used to adore was no longer on the menu. Too many rolls had cream cheese - weird in sushi. Hubbie, who doesn't eat sushi, said his teriyaki salmon was actually OK (otherwise I'd have given food only 2 stars) Really the best part of the AYCE meal was the mochi - pretty pricey at $34.

I've had a lot of AYCE sushi at a variety of places but this was my first time at Pisces. What I loved? A limited but inclusive menu with just the right number of rolls to choose from. Also, like most sushi places there are going to be a few rolls that you will love and I certainly found a few here. Service was fast and efficient however we did briefly get served someone else's rolls. Thankfully we caught it and they were able to redirect them to the right people. We had to wait for a forgotten Cotton Candy but when it arrived, it became a favorite. A little crunch with a lot of flavor. They put a LOT of crab mix on the rolls that come with them but I was amused by a rainbow roll that literally came with a pile of crab mix on the plate. Most of the food was fresh. The seating was nice and comfortable and it has a welcoming atmosphere. I can see why it's my friend's favorite place. A little pricey but they don't use too much rice and they are pretty quick with your food, even if you don't sit at the bar. Yummy Mochi in three flavors!

Favorite sushi place in Reno! The restaurant is on the small side, but very comfortable. Staff are welcoming, friendly, and prompt. Sushi comes out fast and is always fresh and delicious! I love that you can order 1/2 rolls during all you can eat, that way you can get a taste for more options without over-indulging. They have an excellent menu with so many amazing options. Their yakiton is fantastic as well as their mozzarella sticks for appetizers. My absolute favorite sushi and the reason I come to Pisces is for the Cajun Tuna. I order the Nigiri and the Saturday Night specifically. I could eat only those and be happy. The prices have definitely gone up and that was a bit of a shock, however it is absolutely worth it for their AYCE.

Can't decide between sushi or snacks? Step 1: Go to Pisces Sushi Step 2: Sit down for all you can eat. Step 3: Order the Crunch & Hurricane Step 4: Take bite of Crunch then Hurricane and bam you taste yummy cheesy hot Cheetos with a hint of cream cheese (or at least I did with a smile) Food was on point tonight. Entire night consisted of: Mussels MT roll Cotton Candy Donald Duck Snow White The Crunch The Hurricane The Lemon The staff here are always amazing! They smile, work well together, and create a relaxing environment. They serve in a timely manner, even when they are extremely busy the service is quality and quantity. Let's not forget to mention the lighting is quite nice for anyone sensitive to light. They have a bar for up front seating, tables for small or big groups and such good smelling hand soap in the restrooms.

A delicious place to grab all you can eat sushi. There wasn't really a plate I ordered that I disliked. The atmosphere is that of many sushi restaurants around town, but the real star of the show was the funny cook behind the glass that was telling jokes and adding quips to every order made. The only issue I had was that they added three extra drinks to the tab we didn't order. Overall the staff is fun and light hearted, the food is Delicious and the location is in a nice area. Just make sure to check your bill before paying.

This is a solid selection for good quality sushi. While it has been one of my favorite spots, over the years it has changed a bit. Although, you can't go wrong with making this your date night spot. One thing that hasn't changed is the great service you get from the staff. MT, crown shrimp, and Donald Duck are some of my favorites!

Delicious sushi! I ate way too much food. I had the MT, Gemini, Saturday night, quail egg shooter and a bunch of mussels. All of it was incredible! The service was fast and friendly, we were in and out in probably 30 minutes. Kind of a small place but it's intimate! I'll have to add this place to our list of favorites!

We love going to the sushi bar. We went and got seated right away. The sushi was fresh and. The sushi chef was very nice. We had all of our delicious favorites. So if your ever South of town stop in to pisces Sushi bar. We sat at the sushi bar and it was very nice. You could talk to chefs that are making You're wonderful sushi, the ambience is very nice. Not too loud We love coming here.

I love Pisces sushi. Their fish is always fresh, their service is quick and the rolls are always consistent. My favorite rolls are the crunch, lemon light, and hurricane. They also make an amazing Mikey mouse and Donald Duck nigiri. Their Yakiton with sriracha is *chefs kiss* Pisces is definitely worth a visit for some delicious all you can eat sushi!

Waited to go a few times before posting a review. New favorite sushi place in Reno! Friendly staff, great rolls (not wrapped with too much rice like many others), and clean. Highly recommend.

This is a great sushi spot! Lots of options for people who like cooked sushi, raw sushi, nigiri, and deep fried sushi. The Yakiton and fried jalapeño are always delicious.

not my best experience with sushi. I've eaten a lot of sushi . the set up plate had very little amounts on it and what was there looked old. The service was ok, but I was asked what mochi flavor I wanted, I asked for mango. received chocolate. place was clean and friendly, I think I'll try a different place next time.

Always so good! I brought my nephew and we got a variety of rolls and loved them all. We have tried a lot of sushi places in town and this one is one of the better ones! A little pricey but so worth it! The AYCE comes with appetizers as well! We definitely will be back!

This may be my new favorite sushi place in Reno. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly We ordered a lot and were so impressed with how efficiently and artistically he prepared the rolls. It was all delicious. The ambiance is very neighborhood sushi bar-esque'. We loved it

We always have a great time at Pisces. We are a chicken run and Ikura family. We also love their hand rolls. Service is always friendly and attentive.

Only cause I had the check on a particular roll three times...otherwise great! Flavorful food with each one looking prettier than the next!! Thank you for filling me up! I'm happily stuffed!

Came here after seeing online that they have the to-go order deal, which was two rolls for $17 (plus tax and tip). The sushi rolls were small. The seaweed smelled and tasted very seaweed-y. Usually you can't taste it. The shrimp didn't taste super fresh. Pretty underwhelming experience. Not sure if they'd even taste better in person at the restaurant rather than take out. The wait took no time at all. I walked in and ordered, and got my order within 5-10 minutes. The place was not busy at all. Not sure I'll be back.

We go here when we don't want to go far. I don't think it's the best in town but it's good and they can accommodate us much of the time without any planning. The service is always good too.

Not much variety, rolls were very small, too many things had cream cheese in them. Just not my kind of sushi place

We stopped by for dinner and were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and accommodating. We did ALL You Can Eat composed of appetizers entree and dessert. Our favorite rolls are the Lemon light, hurricane and chicken run. It was a mellow evening we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lots and lots of maki rolls to select from. If you buy multiple rolls for take-out, they have lower price multi-rolls take-out specials. Fish is fresh. Sauce for the maki rolls were tangy & zesty. Food, in general, is great. Service is fast also. (Yes, we got take-out)

Took my oldest (12) now on 3/13 ...For some lunch. We kept it small with two rolls each. I got the MT and a Lemon one ...I can't remember the name specifically, but had lemon slices on it. Love me some lemon on my sushi. She got the Crunch and something else. We both loved and destroyed both our plates! The service was very nice. Our server was a very kind lady. I had some confusion with the menu (my fault) and she was very kind and helpful. It was a quick and peaceful afternoon lunch. Happy sushi lunch!

This is the closest sushi restaurant to my house and it's fantastic! I've gone 5 days in a row for the Lunch "All you can eat" deal! It's great! It comes out to 29.25 with tax + whatever you leave for a tip! I ate every single roll that's pictured on the menu, so you don't have to . LOL I'll post some of my favorites as pictures! Service: Very fast and friendly! I am seated at the sushi bar right away and the sushi chef is so fast I can't eat the rolls fast enough with how quick they make them! Ambiance: It is very chill and nice during lunch time. Great if you want to go alone for a nice lunch! Overall: great sushi, great price, and great service!

Sushi so good did not even dunk in soy sauce or wasabi. Clean venue w/ friendly fast service. Definitely will be back to try more rolls

It's been a long time since stopping in.. Decided to pick up a few rolls on the special to go menu. Two rolls for $17.00 Ordered the MT and 1080 . Sushi was pretty good when one craves it.. but after my second bite of a shrimp shell.. was shocked.. then another shell.. Satisfied the craving minus the shells.

Amazing sushi!!! We sat at the bar and had a great interaction with the chef making our rolls. I must admit, I'm pretty sure we didn't get what we ordered cus it looked different than the description on the menu...but we where sooo amazed with the flavor that we didn't even care if it wasn't what we ordered. But I have a feeling that you can't go wrong with whatever roll you do order here! Will be back!!

I go to Pisces a lot with my family who love it, but I have had better sushi at Oceano, Hinoki, or JJ's. I have noticed that the rolls are different depending on who is making them. They are good, but it is not my first choice for a sushi restaurant. However, this might be the only sushi place that has cheese sticks for an appetizer, which I like! The muscles are always good as well. I do love how dark the restaurant is, and the layout is nice. The service is consistent, I can't recall a time where I have had bad service here! I will probably be back again, mostly because it is a first choice for family members.

First time at Pisces, we loved it! Had a few appetizers, flavorful and perfect portion sizes. I liked that the gyoza came with a sauce, brought the taste out! The Donald Duck appetizer was very light and refreshing, decent portion on the slices of salmon! Our rolls were great! I had the Lemon Light and the Vegas Roll, enjoyed both, it was the perfect mix of citrusy and savory between the two. I personally like smaller rolls for all you can eat, just means you can try more items. The quality of fish was good, fresh and flavorful. Overall the ambiance was great, service was fast and attentive!! We'll definitely be back!

The food was pretty good and the service was great but the restaurant was REALLY hot when I went. It felt like their A/C was out which made it a bit uncomfortable. Would definitely try again though.

The all you can eat price for 3 people is not worth the amount of sushi ordered. Better if you order individual rolls and I'm not sure if the rolls are supposed to be smaller bc of the all you can eat but they're pretty little, small rice portions. When we went there was no AC and they periodically turned off the portable fans. Hard to enjoy the experience with what felt like 110 degrees in there. The food itself was yummy and very nicely made, again just small portion sizing.

First time going. Pleasantly surprised with the quality and variety of the rolls. Definitely the best sushi place I've been too.

I have ordered takeout from here and it has been good, so we decided to dine in this time. Upon entering, we were quickly greeted and seated in the back. The server got our drink orders and gave us a menu. We ordered the mussels, mussels crunch, fried calamari, seaweed salad, yakiton, and miso soup for appetizers. The mussels were a decent size compared to a lot of other sushi restaurants. The mussel crunch was mussels covered with batter and then fried. They tasted okay, but I would not order that again. The seaweed salad was not chilled long enough because it did not have a crunch to it and felt like it was sitting out. The yakiton was amazing! It is one of my favorites because not many places offer this. It was crunchy and crispy on the outside, and the inside was hot and soft. Then the miso soup was average compared to other sushi places. As for the sushi, we ordered salmon, tuna, yellowtail, surf clam, white tuna, eel, shrimp, and a couple other nigiris. I love the ratio of rice to fish! It was perfect. The roll we got was Pisces, it was alright. We preferred the nigiri. The dessert also came with the all you can eat option. I got green tea ice cream and the mango mochi. The inside is modern and with both bar or table seating. The ambiance is nice. It was not too dark or too bright either.

Over the years we have been here at least 60 times. The seafood they use is always top notch. The Cajun tuna is one of my favorite seafood dishes of all time. Specialty rolls like the zodiac and the lemon light are things you need to try. The upside down shrimp is incredible and the mussels are always good. Service can be on the slower side, but the food and employees make up for that little bump. Also give the temper of vegetables a try while you're there, along with the fried banana split dessert.

Really wanted sushi but I had my dog with me. Luckily for me, Pisces offers an amazing To-Go special! 2 rolls for $17 , 3 Rolls for $23 and 4 Rolls for $28. Called it in and it was ready within 30 minutes. The rolls were beautiful coming in generous portions and equally as delicious! Came with ginger, soy sauce and wasabi, I asked for some spicy mayonnaise on the side and the host was accommodating. Super happy that there's a place around that has To-Go specials available

Another delicious sushi spot this time service was a bit slow but eventually we got all we ordered and it didn't disappoint.

Been coming here for years on and off. Went for lunch I felt the appetizer were weak at best. Muscles hand no flavor just cooked no special sauce, very minimal amount of seaweed salad. Even the cucumber was the tiniest bit and had to ask for more. Good rice to sushi ratios but nothing really stood out as special or fresh. So kind of a let down. Not bad but not great.

it's nice to find another good sushi place in town when my first choice is busy. actually I think this is a hidden gem where I might just make as my first choice when we're going out to eat sushi since it is under the radar, less wait and just as good as the first choice I have in town. Uni is a hard thing to find in town, I would give them 5 stars if they can get good quality uni on the menu.

So many items to try! And thoroughly enjoy! Pisces is my go to for sushi because they are delicious and willing to wrap in soy paper (no extra charge) if you are not a seaweed enjoyer. Casual environment with table or bar seating options. The service is always pleasant and the food prepared beautifully. They accept cards, plenty of parking, and will package to go. I will say this is more of a leisurely place to enjoy your food. If you are in a hurry, I recommend To Go.

One of my friends recommended Pisces Sushi and if i'm being honest... i did not even know about them until my husband mentioned he wanted to go here for his birthday. Located all the way in south meadows in front of Renown South Meadows in the little shopping center with Smiths, Dutch Bros, Yogurt Beach, etc. We went on a Thursday evening and it surprisingly was not packed at all. We got seated right away, was able to order our food and drinks right away and everything came out very efficiently. First off, I am always looking for good mussels & I do have to say Pisces Sushi mussels are pretty dang good. You also do get the option of getting fried mussels , but personally I prefer the steamed ones way more. The Yakiton was actually quite dang tasty and the miso soup my son completely devoured it. One thing about sushi is if you have fresh sushi from places closer to water, the better the sushi will taste. This place was actually very good and you really can taste all ingredients added of the sushi, which is kind of hard to notice from other sushi joints around town. I would have to say, if it's not Sashimi's on Skyline, this place is your next best bet for great quality sushi and appetizers.

Had a Friday night dinner with some awesome coworkers. It's my 2nd or 3rd time here and I don't remember the food in this place being so awesome! Sushi was yummilicious! My 5 year old finished a whole long roll of Yosemite and more! I got the Gemini and it was super yummy! Our server was super nice and helpful and pleasant! The restrooms were cleaned and stocked. The place felt cozy and had the local-at-home feel. Will definitely come back :)

Oh man. Really bums me out to give this two stars. Not really sure what happen to this place. The last two time were ok. But today was to much for us. The rice was way to salty, couldn't taste the seafood from how salty the rice was, we received the wrong rolls multiple times. One of the waitresses was rude, but nice when she gave us the check. Our original waitress was nice. The quality of the food was not worth the price. My girlfriend and I both came home and threw all of it up. There goes $100+ we just spent. Wish we could receive a refund from all the issue we had today. I don't know what happen to this place. I used to be really good. Unfortunately, this place lost some loyal customers.

My family and I have been going to Pisces Sushi for a fairly long time now and it's consistently pretty good! They've got some unique rolls on the menu that for sure never disappoint us. The pricing is good and restaurant is fairly clean and decorated nicely. Throughout the years they have always been staffed appropriately and we've never had to wait an extended amount of time for our order or to be seated. It's in a popular location in South Reno so we always call ahead of arrival to see if there is a wait or not.

Decent enough sushi spot, but nothing very sparkly about the service, menu, or overall flavor of their sushi. Service was quick when it came to being seated but then slowed way down when it came to placing/receiving your order. The menu is pretty traditional from what I can tell, though some of the rolls weren't available and were hidden on the menu by paper and tape. The sushi itself was fine but strangely seemed to lack a lot of flavor. I found myself using more soy sauce and wasabi than I normally do just to add some dimension to the rolls. Not sure how soon I'll be back as there are so many sushi spots around town that offer more creativity when it comes to their sushi offerings.

My first time to Pisces did not disappoint. I started with their house named Pisces roll. The flavor combinations were explosive. It was both unique and satisfying. I tried their lunch AYCE. Every roll I tried surpassed my expectations. I also had their loose leaf green tea, with hints of nut flavor. What more can I say. This is my new sushi spot of choice. 10/10

I was very impressed. Reminiscent of tha joint , especially the muscles. I don't live close by but if I'm in the area I will definitely be coming back! Hand such a great time here! The ambiance is very nice. A really cute sushi place for a date spot! No complaints on any of the rolls I've had. If you're looking for a sushi place to try out, I highly recommend this one! Will be back soon!

One of the best places to come refuel after a beautiful day up the Mountain at Rose ski resort. Great ambience, fantastic chef and attentive staff always with a smile. The quality of product is above and beyond. Some of the best scallops in town even. Always clean always positive.

I'm not sure how this place gets such good ratings. Our food was mediocre at best. We waited about 30 minutes for my son's tempura udon and then they brought out a seafood udon and then we had to wait another 30 minutes for the replacement to come. Then I paid and have now been waiting 15 minutes to get my credit card back. I feel like I'm being held hostage here.

Stopped in Sunday for lunch! Got seated right away. Love the bar in the center of the restaurant & the tall ceilings. Cool design! Our server was very friendly & accommodating. I've never had calamari in giant rings like this! It was delish. I ordered the full rainbow roll & the half Vegas roll. Very happy with both! My one & only gripe was the water. I couldn't drink it with my meal. Something was VERY off. If they had a water purifier it would've been a five star for me!

I had high hopes going into Pisces sushi but I could not say it was as good as I hoped it would be. We sat at the bar and the space was so tight and it was oddly quiet even which everyone packed into one half of the restaurant. The service took ages. Not only did it take long to get your sushi, but for your order and even just for a refill of water. With all that, I was hoping the sushi would be good but at best it's mediocre. The food is not worth the hassle. What would usually be an hour dinner for me, took over two hours with more time waiting than eating.
