An excellent add on to a visit to Porto. We went early and didn’t realize that this was a good idea as later there was limited entry. €6 for a half day visit was perfect. We had a drink at the bar and sat on the rocks. The pool was 19degC refreshing. Water clean. Sea alongside much colder. The swimming complex is fabulous. Designed in 1960s and still a stunner today. The Camino walkers use this coastal route so you can do a piece yourself before your swim as we did. Showers available to get rid of salt. The beaches around here are also fantastic.

The swimming pool was very well-maintained, and I spent the entire day there. Sunbeds with mattresses cost an extra €10. The pool was cold and very refreshing, perfect for cooling off, and it was even saltwater. The view of the pool and the sea is breathtaking. In total, I paid €18 for entry and the sunbed.

Easily accessible and cheap to travel to from Porto location that is well worth visiting. Better to visit in the morning (we arrived at around 11 and there was no queue and the pool and cafe were not busy. Leaving at around 4, the queues were very long and the pool had rapidly filled up). All staff encountered were friendly, helpful, and most spoke English. Otacilio Reis went above and beyond and looked after us and others in the Café and afterwards, helping us feel at ease; he had an amazing character and was a joy to talk to. Very much made our day. Travelling as a couple, the facility provides no lockers and so there is nowhere to place your valuables, therefore you cannot swim together, which is saddening. At the moment, you cannot buy tickets online without a Portuguese bankcard, but if you do have one it is better to buy online as you can avoid the queues on entry. The pools, although cold, were unbelievably beautiful and did not feel as if they were crammed full of only tourists. We had a very nice day and most definitely recommend a visit.

If you find yourself in Porto, bring your swim trunks and visit. Siza designed this intervention / tidal pool in 1966 and is one of his finest projects. My only gripe is that there are too many bathers admitted at the same time. Arrive early in the day for a quieter experience. My comment to the facility is that janitorial services should be improved - with the popularity of the pools, cleaning and resupply of the restrooms should be increased in order to keep up with demand.

We went to the location since we are architecture students interested in seeing Siza Alvaros's work, and I have to say that the outcome is impressive. It's an incredible idea to combine the ocean and a swimming pool. The swimming pools are large enough to accommodate large groups of people. All of the natural light provided by the sun enters the changing rooms instead of artificial lighting. Overall, I would suggest attending since the view is breathtaking.

Great place to visit beach for the day. We paid £10 euro entry, there are toilets and showers. Once inside you can then use the pools, there is also a bar/restaurant, and you can hire chairs/umbrellas. The water is freezing cold, but nice to cool off after relaxing at the beach. We found it difficult to find any information about the beaches near Porto, but this seemed to be the best facilities anywhere near Porto - the surrounding beach areas were a bit baron. Great if you want somewhere to cool down and settle in for the day.

It was my last day in porto and it was raining so we were thinking maybe it's a stupid idea to go here but turns out it wasn't a bad idea at all. The water was warm even tho a bit dirty from sand and some algae. The changing rooms and showers are not the best but does the job. We arrived at 5 pm and they close at 7 pm so we had more than enough time to enjoy the pool for ourselves.

The best time to visit - just after the opening to escape long lines. Or buy tickets online. You can wait at least 1 hour if you get there after 10 am. Other than that, the place is stunning. 10 euros for the chair, 3 euros for the beach umbrella. The service is acceptable, though they should explain the deposit payment for chairs in advance, so you don’t have to be confused about the amount charged being twice higher than expected (they give it back though)
