The place is pretty amazing. The decoration and overall design of the building are stunning. The rooms are nothing special, but you won’t be spending much time in them anyway ;) What really makes this place unique—beyond its hidden gems like the rooftop and the breathtaking sauna—is the atmosphere at the bar. It’s a lively, welcoming space where people connect and share stories. A big part of that vibe comes from Haruka, who speaks fluent English and truly cares about creating the kind of open, friendly atmosphere you look for in a hostel.

We didn't stay here, just stopped in for some drinks, played a bit of pool and tried a bit of Shisha with travelling pals. The place is a chilled vibe. Love the deco and overall atmosphere. Awesome service. Can't complain.

The coolest hostel I’ve been to! The rooms are basic, there’s no questioning that, but it serves its purpose for a budget nights sleep. The sauna is fantastic, one cold pool to cool off in, and then a sauna, and an outdoor area. I think you should charge per person though, not a group! At least discount if only one person e.g. 1000 yen rather than 3300. The boar curry was delicious :)

This is a bit of an odd animal. The business is actually a restaurant and bar that also has a guesthouse in the back. The atmosphere in the bar is strange - like being in a zany thai temple / lounge with odd sculptures and decorations. Once you pass through that and get to the back, there is a small kitchen and two floors of small rooms. My wife and I stayed in a 2 person room with a big comfy bed. The room itself was small so the bed basically took up the entire space. The door didn't really have a built in lock, just a small padlock that you used to lock up. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers were small but worked well. The staff are very friendly and the owner is a really nice guy. That was easily the best part of the experience. He takes the time to talk to each of his guests and he is a real adventurer so he has some awesome stories. The price of a room also comes with a free drink once a day. And that ain't bad neither ;) The guesthouse is not that close to the Nagano station so you'll either have to walk about 20min or take the subway a few stops and then walk another 10min. The property is on one of the main roads that leads straight into the big temple famous in the area. There is a convenience store directly across the street and an alleyway of shops and restaurants just around the corner.

Location is very convenient if you arrive by Nagano station, only about a 10 minute walk. The beds are comfortable and private with a very cozy blanket. The staff are excellent and friendly. One really makes this hostel stand out is the lounge area, it has an amazing feel to it. With a pool table, heated bench, sculpted alcove, and a climbing wall?? You won't be spending any time in your room!

This place is super cool and the staff is kind and caring. Even though I couldn't figure out the entrance code, he waited for me to show up and let me in. It's self-service so he didn't need to do that, but he was a big help and friendly. I recommend this place for an unforgetable stay!

I was in Nagano for a night and came in here for food. The menu has great Asian food and deeelicious local craft beers. The owner was so friendly. The interior is very cool, laidback and relaxed. Great value! The following night I missed my overnight bus and was alone in Nagano at 11:45pm. I called the owner and he said he had a free bed. Not only did he stay open until I arrived, he booked another bus for me for the following morning and was just the kindest nicest person. The beds are like little cubicles, they have lights and sockets and privacy and are very comfortable. The place is very cool and I highly recommend it. It's in a good location too, very close to Zenkoji Temple and around 20 mins walk from the train station.

This place is amazing. The bar area is a blend of woodwork, metallurgy, artefacts from all over the world and cozy nooks abound. At the rear of this is a rock-climbing wall, and a cheap guesthouse with frankly excellent facilities. Spacious and stocked kitchen, capsule shower, private capsule-style beds, all is very clean and very stylish. Just down the road from Zenko-ji temple and Nagano Station, and you get a free drink when you check in. Absolutely must visit if you are stopping in Nagano!
