Google
Outstanding place featuring food made with love drawing on Palestinean and other Middle Eastern cuisines (including egyptian “fool” and kofta). The owner was funny, kind, and treated us with care. We need to preserve more businesses like this in NYC. Shokran habibi

Google
Great food and even better service! the man serving the food was very polite, friendly, and caring for the customers. When I got there I told him I wanted to try a bit of everything as it was my first time there and I was craving some middle eastern food. He said he’d make me a really nice plate with all variety. He was super nice and custom made me a delicious falafel plate with grape leaves, hummus, and other foods! Will definitely come again

Google
Great owner, awesome food. Very traditional, Dev go but reminder it’s cash only! Venmo accepted!

Google
If you have $10-30 for Middle-Eastern food then this is the place to eat. To get the most important point out of the way first: the food is great. To me, it's nearly unmatched in its taste. For $20 the food is reasonably priced and worth it if you have the cash. I find that man behind running the counter and serving the food is understanding, hard-working, kind, and extremely courteous. He clearly displays that he cares for his customers and business. This is the sort of restaurant that many will adore because it a no frills, personal, quality, casual experience. The near-5 star is seriously warranted.

Google
This is comfort food. The kofta was delicious, but I enjoyed the falafels because they were very crispy. Plus, the staff was kind enough the explain the menu. Overall, I had a good experience here and I recommend to visit this restaurant when in the area.

Emily Schultz

Google
Such a neighborhood staple with the freshest, healthiest, most delicious food. Literally the best hummus I’ve ever eaten in my life and the portion sizes are extremely generous. Would always recommend!

Google
This place is simply amazing, the food is so flavorful and fresh. The falafel is to die for and the pita is soft as a pillow. Eddie the owner is so kind and welcoming. I had a really great experience eating here and I will continue to return!

Google
Great food! One of the best restaurants in Brooklyn for Middle Eastern food!

Priscilla T.

Yelp
A hidden neighborhood gem! The food is delicious and the owner has such a kind demeanor. We wish we lived nearby, we'd be eating here often!

Yelp
This place has great food! Whatever you get, you can't go wrong. The meat is succulent and moist, never dry. I regularly visit this place and it's been consistently good for over the 5 years I've been visiting. One thing to point out though is that lately the portion of meat has been dwindling while the prices are rising. It feels like they're purposefully skimping on the meat. I really wish they didn't! Whatever happened to the good ol' days, please bring them back.

Aura B.

Yelp
Good food and fast service. I took the combo Chicken and Beef, it was all good in taste, I just didn't like the Beef at all. Everything else, tasted good like the traditional Middle Eastern food.

Yelp
Sometimes I think I should get the award for worst photos on Yelp. In my defense, it's usually only for when I get food delivered. I've had Pita Palace bookmarked for nearly a year and was happy to see that they are on DoorDash (don't believe they are on UberEats) and I recently switched delivery apps. Ibs girly over here means no falafel or hummus (big sad). I opted for the chicken shawarma sandwich and carrot cake for dessert. Don't often go for cakes but I was really craving something decadent and cream cheese frosting sounded like it would hit the spot. Delivery took longer than I anticipated given that I live decently close, but still not too bad. I was overall pleasantly surprised because nothing here was too heavy. The carrot cake wasn't massive which I appreciate as sometimes I get carried away consuming indulgent foods and then am full of regret afterwards. Cream cheese frosting wasn't too sweet and overall I'd order it again! The chicken shawarma was also solid. Lots if veggies and thin stretchy pita. It wasn't heavy on any sauces which kept it light and had a lot of chicken for those who keep track of protein intake. Think this is a must try fast healthy spot!

Yelp
Easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time and the no frills atmosphere, friendly service, and generous portions for the price were added bonuses that made me vow to never again agree to pay triple the price for subpar food while needing to shout to be heard at "trendy" restaurants. Fresh, flavorful dishes cooked with love, hot pita keeps coming, my daughter and her best friend nearly licked the hummus plate clean. I have not had better labneh anywhere else in the city. Cash is king, but Venmo is an option, too. Saleem, you are a treasure. We will be back!

Gamal I.

Yelp
10/10 Palestinian gourmet! I love it here I can't stop eating The most friendliest staff! It feels like family here with all the tradition and hospitality! Don't forget to try the shawarma on pita! And wash it down with some arabic tea ugh!

Taylor Z.

Yelp
Really solid Mediterranean place. We had the plate which was massive and came with a huge side of salad and hummus. Really good value and can easily split with a second person.

Joseph D.

Yelp
The best falafel pita around. I have tried others and nothing is as tasty as this place. It's a simple place, cash only. Vibe is no frills and the prices match. But, the food is amazing. I will add this to my regular eats. Highly recommend.

Lauren D.

Yelp
Freakin DELICIOUS. The chicken shawarma is the most flavorful I've ever had, the kufta kebab was juicy and yummy, pickled carrots had a nice bit of spice and the salad was light and nice in between. The man serving us was also so nice and gave my boyfriend and I each a little falafel to eat while we wait. Will definitely be back!!!

Noah C.

Yelp
Great Falafel and a remarkable Pita. They have wifi. 11/10 Attitude This is a place to start your New York evening.

Max U.

Yelp
I live a few blocks away and have been coming here for the better part of a decade. Pita Palace is a true neighborhood gem. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is by far the best middle eastern/falafel in Williamsburg. I usually get either their falafel platter or chicken shawarma sandwich (pictured here). Fresh ingredients - make sure to ask for everything when ordering their sandwiches, you won't be disappointed!

Some O.

Yelp
Stay away if you don't want a thief taking your money. The restaurant is owned by a dishonest man who will charge you more than you ordered. I visited his restaurant on March 15. The owner first balked at accepting a credit card. When I turned to go he told me he DID take credit cards. I also saw on his register the signs for Visa, Mastercard, etc. My bill came to $13.00. When I handed my card to pay, he ran it, but didn't give me a receipt. Instead, he told me that his machine had run out of paper. He reiterated he'd charged me $13.00. I later found out he'd charged me over $17. He's probably done the same thing to others and gotten away with it. I've never been treated like this at a restaurant. The owner is unethical, liar, and a thief.

Paulina L.

Yelp
Great place for pita! Came and got the falafel pita, which was well stuffed with many ingredients and has a bit of a spice kick, which was much appreciated. Note: Cash only or venmo.

Sarbo R.

Yelp
Pita Palace is a cozy hole-in-the-wall with big flavors! The Chicken Shawarma Plate was a winner--tender, well-seasoned meat with fresh sides. The staff's warmth and friendliness added to the experience. A must-visit for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Highly recommended! This place is cash only but they have an ATM inside the store

Brad P.

Yelp
Over priced, smells like cat piss, dirty, people are extremely rude and the food was bland with very small portions. Also, $19 for a falafel plater is crazy. The pita was store bought, warmed in a microwave and the rest of it was lackluster. if you're looking for a good middle eastern place try Oasis in Williamsburg.

ana d.

Yelp
Amazing food! Must try! One of the best restaurants in New York! We had Kofta platter and it was delicious.

Ariel S.

Yelp
Yea I've had a lot of pita in my day and this was hands down the best I've had. Even my visits to Israel eating falafel sandwiches don't compare. My dad would absolutely love this spot. I only wish they were closer to where I live in Manhattan. Been dreaming of the falafel sandwich all night. Will hopefully make my way back soon.

Karen V.

Yelp
My partner and I love this spot. Staff is the best. Lots of options for vegetarians.

Ceci T.

Yelp
Their falafel pita is the best I've had in nyc! Perfect low key neighborhood spot. Couldn't recommend enough!

Albert H.

Yelp
Pita Palace is a really solid place to get your Middle Eastern fix. From what I've tried, my favorites are the kufta kabob pita and the falafel plate. The ingredients are super fresh and the dishes are extremely flavorful. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. The kufta kabobs were tender, seasoned just right, and had a nice kick to them as well. I highly recommend checking out Pita Palace if you are in the area.

Savannah R.

Yelp
Ok this place is super special. The food is insane!! But please please figure out how to update your hours.. I don't live in the area anymore and I've made the trip twice now just to find that you're closed!

Marisa M.

Yelp
Cute, clean, friendly staff and affordable delicious and filling sandwiches and platters. Came here on a Monday night there were a couple people waiting for takeout and a couple eating their dinner. Small place with two 4 top tables and a counter with about 5 additional chairs. I liked it though, cozy. And I was impressed just how clean everything was. Usually I go to take out places and no one got to cleaning the tables yet or there is stuff on the floor. Not at this place. 9 dollars for a big pita sandwich with chicken. I loved the flavor abd the grilled onion on it too. Really messy though and the whole pita falls apart. My boyfriend got the falafel platter. 14 dollars. Big as well. I tried everything on it and the humus and the cabbage where the best. The humus was really a standout. And the falafel were delicious. I don't usually like falafel but I really like the flavor of these and the crispiness on the outside and gooyeness on the inside. And not an overpowering chickpea flavor which is good. Great place to stop in for a bite. Will come back when I'm in this area again! I want to try the fries for 3 dollars and the carrot cake which looked delicious.

Zuber S.

Yelp
Amazing food. They have best kufta kababs. I would love to go there again and try different things. Highly recommended.

Maria C.

Yelp
We are moving out of the neighborhood in a few months and are heartbroken to lose this local gem. My partner and I have been coming here for a couple of years- hands down nicest staff and the yummiest comfort food when you need your falafel fix!

Dawn M.

Yelp
This slaps. Holy sh*t. The place looks uninviting but you NEED to try it. You'll keep going back.

Mike M.

Yelp
This place a gem. Roger the owner was funny and a great host for us to have all this amazing food! Felt at home. Everything had such an authentic delicious flavor to it. This place is a new mainstay for me !!! I can't wait to go back. Next time I'm going for the carrot cake it looked so good but I was sooo full!! Ask for Rogers secret dessert to see if it's available !!!

Kurt S.

Yelp
unbelievable food, great people. come regularly probably my favorite spot in brooklyn!

Grace S.

Yelp
extremely attentive and kind staff. they didn't skimp on the hot sauce or hummus for the falafel sandwich - those, the falafel, and veggies were flavorful and delicious. my partner got the chicken shawarma platter and holy shit - the chicken is SO flavorful and cooked perfectly. paired with the perfectly cooked rice - unbeatable. 10/10 for a quick eat that feels filling and flavorful!

Valeria M.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is always in point and they are so attentive and no matter how busy they are.

Preston D.

Yelp
Ordered lamb Pita, was delicious, very generous portion of lamb and nice sauce. Asked for hot/spicy, was neither. Very good price for portion size.

Tabby C.

Yelp
Cash only! This is an amazing restaurant that I will be returning to soon. I shared the rice pudding, a chicken kebab plate, and an order of grape leaves and falafel with another person and it was enough food for both of us because of the extra sides. The chicken kebab plate comes with two chicken skewers over rice and four sides. For the sides, I got hummus, pickled red cabbage salad, spicy eggplant salad, and the spicy Turkish salad. The plate also came with a free pita for each of us. The quality of the food was outstanding. They provided and mastered all of the basics. The falafel, chicken, and rice were sooooo incredibly soft. I never had a falafel that was so soft before. I was shook. Lastly, the service was also fantastic!!!! They create a great atmosphere.

M J.

Yelp
Awesome! Food is so good. Prices are reasonable and staff is amazing. We got the chicken pitas and I highly recommend that you do the same!!

Ellie S.

Yelp
PLEASE UPDATE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS On MULTIPLE occasions I have come right around lunch time, around 12-1pm during the week and you have been closed. Online does NOT reflect times. I will say the food is absolutely amazing (when it is open). An awesome price and so flavorful. 10/10

Jeff M.

Yelp
I have worked in qatar and saudia arabia and middle eastern food makes me happy. This is the best I have ever had. Mixed grill, falafel, kabob, pita, and shawarma. We got it all and it did not disappoint. Amazing service as well. They treated ua like family! Shukran Chef

Sumana K.

Yelp
Hard to believe a restaurant could have a 5 star rating with over 150 reviews, but I now understand why. The restaurant itself is very casual but the food is exceptional. Very fresh and the open kitchen confirms that everything is cooked on the spot. I had the chicken kabob sandwich and it was perfect - filled with chicken, vegetables and hummus. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! FYI - Cash only!!

Joseph T.

Yelp
Pita Palace has some seriously flavorful sandwich. I opted for a falafel sandwich. It's stuffed with various salads and ingredients. It's a little tough to pick out the individual ingredients while eating the sandwich but it comes together very well. The sandwich is reasonably priced at $8 and service is quick.

Madison S.

Yelp
Pretty average! Kinda expensive as well. Everything was a little salty. Pita was cold and dry. Hummus is good but still salty. Gave an extra star for customer service but wasn't at all the experience I was craving.

Morsal A.

Yelp
Literally the best middle eastern food in NYC. You not only get high quality flavorful food (no unknown weird meat or veggies) but you get quantity as well that is very affordable! They accommodate to whatever you want and need. I've eaten at many middle eastern restaurants and this little Williamsburg gem is the best hands down. You won't regret it. Also-- the workers are very sweet and charismatic. Especially the boss Rajab and his sons Saleem and Jihad-- very hospitable, funny and accommodating. It's a comfortable place to eat with family or friends.

Yann B.

Yelp
The flavors here are so authentic and different from any american style kebab/falafel shop you have ever had. Pickled veggies, super fresh and crispy falafel always coming out warm, and meat packed shwarma are always being served with amazing friendly service from Roger. What a spot. Cheap too!

Laura Jean O.

Yelp
Cash only. Order everything. Their food is so authentic and tasty. Amazing falafel! Easily jumped to the top of my local favorite list. Thank you Roger!

Blaire F.

Yelp
Solid joint for a $9 chicken pita with the fillings. The owner was appreciative of the business. It seemed to be popular for a weekday takeout spot. Bring cash and order agreed since the wait is about 15 minutes.

Tania R.

Yelp
Small businesses have been absolutely decimated in the last year. It's a tragedy when you think about how places like Pita Palace, one of the few authentic 5-star joints left in Williamsburg, is facing the same disasterous consequences During a short stay in WillyB (pls don't hurt me for saying this, I mean no harm) where food options are plentiful, even during a pandemic, I made my way to Pita Palace for multiple visits. The owner is a boisterous fellow who cares very much about his patrons: upon learning that I was a first-timer, insisted on giving me free dessert on the house and sending me on my way. For a very low price, you get a bangin' gyro stuffed to the brim with meat (or falafel) and veggies. Highly recommend swinging by -- five stars well deserved.

Ava A.

Yelp
I visited NY in June and I've been thinking about pita palace ever since. we placed an order for pickup on the late side, and after a mixup on the subway, we were running late; not only did they stay open past closing time for us, but they made us fresh mint lemonade on the spot. the man we spoke to, who i assume is the owner, was incredibly kind and generous. when we paid and told him to keep the change, he insisted on giving us free rice pudding. all of the food was delicious. the tabbouleh tasted just like my grandmother used to make. the baklava and rice pudding were the perfect desserts, and the carrot cake was possibly the best i've ever had. the mint lemonade was the perfect summer drink, but i would drink it year-round if i could. if you are wondering whether you should go to this pita palace or bushwick pita palace, trust me, go to this one. they are above and beyond, authentic, delicious, and friendly. i wish we had a chance to go here again before leaving, but i will definitely be stopping by again next time i visit the area.

Nicole A.

Yelp
Their food is a pretty good option locally though the prices have gone up substantially so it's no longer the value it once was. The guy delivering the food apologized for the price increases and inflation has gotten bad, so somewhat understandable, but still higher than expected. That said, like their marinades, grilled meat and rice and they're generous with pita bread. I really do wish they would stope using styrofoam and move to something more environmentally friendly!!!

Moe T.

Yelp
The kofta kebab sandwich here is one of the best I've tasted in my life. The meat is blended with herbs and grilled to a perfect char. The veggies are marinated and add extra flavor. I recommend adding onions. I'm sure anything else you get here is going to be good but the kofta is not to be missed

Rodrigo B.

Yelp
I had always heard of this place and yesterday I finally ordered for the first time. If you're looking for the best falafel in Brooklyn, search no more. Great falafel, and the portion was very generous and absolutely fair price. Babaganoush was so good and creamy too. Loved it!

D S.

Yelp
I can't believe how good this was. It's authentic, flavorful, and family-owned. I'll be bringing as many people as I can to come in and try the best Arabic food I've had so far in the city.

Tatiana J.

Yelp
Came in to try the Kabob sandwich. Decided to try the lamb and didn't like it at all. So I ate it without the lamb but tasteless. It looks sooo much better than what it tastes like. I'll try the chicken kabob sandwich next time. Fingers crossed.

Holly W.

Yelp
This little family owned restaurant (mostly take out but has a couple of tables and a counter with stools) is so friendly and accommodating. Great customer service. The first time I came here was during a massive snowstorm and I was so grateful something was open. It was like finding a culinary oasis on an iceberg. There are chicken, lamb, and beef kabobs, felafel, rice etc but the thing that sets them above everyone else is a stunning display of very fresh, colorful and attractive salads and vegetable dishes, hummus, grape leaves, spinach pies, and yummy things I've never tried. He always spoons a little sample on the plate of something new. Both times I've been there he's given me a dessert to try. These guys are so nice! It's popular for take out but I like eating there because of the friendly vibe. It's very convenient to lots of places. Cash only but very affordable.
