The pizza was great and views were spectacular from the covered patio. The only negative was the lack of fans out on the patio and inside the restaurant was even hotter. It was about 90F while we there and the only cool place was the restroom. We'll be back but it will be when it's cooler.

Google
Beautiful views, friendly wait staff, and delicious food! Great pizza, awesome calamari, and the best cheesecake and brownies ever, seriously so good. We all agreed it was some of the best cheesecake we’ve ever had.

Google
We were visiting from California best pasta ever big portions and for 7 people I spent like 80 dollars only i was shocked. But food and staff very friendly!

Google
This place is awesome. The food is delicious and the people are really friendly. It's a little spooky in there and not because of the decorations but you can feel the "old" of the building. Their pizza is delicious. Everyone must visit! ❤️

Google
Great food, long wait, but worth it. Only item is the kids portions are super small for $13, my daughter ended up eating two portions of spaghetti for $26 total, my wife had left overs on her pasta for $22. Overall would definitely eat here again, just note to self, no kid's menu.

Google
Fantastic pizza. We got a large pepperoni and cheese and it exactly what we were craving. Cheesy, the crust is perfect!

Google
The pizza here is just how I like my pizza! The perfect crust, not doughy or too thick or too thin. There’s not too much extra cheese or sauce or any grease. They put just the right amount of toppings on! I made my own with green and black olives, spinach, garlic, feta and my partner got the fire twirler; both were so good!!! I’m an avid breadstick and salad girl and I was impressed with both! The breadsticks have a great cheese and Mariana dipping sauce and the spinach salad was loaded with toppings. The salad plate was honestly too small for the amazing salad though so maybe a bigger plate would be nice so I can tear it up. We sat outside during a rain storm and luckily came prepared with sweaters and long pants to do so. For me, the patio is the second best part after the pizza! The unobstructed mountain views are stunning!!! We ordered pick up here once and it was a 1 hours wait at 7pm on a Saturday. It makes sense, but I wasn’t expecting 1 hour, so that’s why the 4 star service. We went back on a Thursday and were seated outside 5:15 and were leaving by 6:15. The waiting staff was super great giving refills and taking away empty plates as we finished things. Loved our orders here and we definitely plan to eat out again!

Yelp
The food was excellent and priced reasonably The pizza was delicious The Blue corn Calamari was a very nice surprise with the sweet and spicy sauce We had a great time enjoying the outside seething area

Yelp
Best pizza in Taos!!! The green chili and sausage is incredible but everything was really good. Great stop on the way back from skiing

Yelp
Me and my sister went here for dinner last year in October. We ordered the Supreme pizza which was incredible! The dough was cooked to perfection not over cooked or too doughy. The sauce has a sweet flavor and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We also had a slide salad which was fresh and the dressing was good. They have a great menu of craft beers to choose from. The service was great! Very friendly and attentive. We sat in the patio which has amazing views of the mountains. The ambience is quant and casual, what you would expect from a pizza place. My next visit to Taos will definitely include Pizanos.

Yelp
For a gluten free crust this pizza is delicious, the crust is perfectly crisp and the vegan cheese with the green chile combo AND pineapple soooo bomb. If you're looking for good zaa this is it for Taos! Also try the watermelon cider, it's giving jolly rancher vibes.

Yelp
Our waitress was absolutely horrible. It was the one with long white hair. We asked about whether she could check if a dish had nuts in it or nut. She responded, "I dunno." I asked her if she could check with the kitchen. She said she could, but they use nuts everywhere and "they don't clean up." She made it sound super dramatic and started talking about the nut dust in the air. This made us think that the kitchen is lacking basic standards of cleanliness. We ended up leaving.

Yelp
Pizanos always has great pizza, salads and sandwiches! The service is great and the staff always treat their guests well.

Yelp
Really good food! Service was friendly and efficient. Ambience was nice and relaxed, we sat out on the patio, and I think every one else chose to spot praise as well

Yelp
I love their pizzas, salads and their draft beer selections! The entire establishment has a welcoming, friendly vibe, and the views from the outside dining area, of the powerful Taos mountains and pastoral foreground are amazing!! In addition, the prices are very reasonable, so Pizanos is one of my favorite dining out places in the Taos area.

Yelp
Next time we will eat in house, but we got our order to go. The pizza was good, the calamari I hd read so much about lacked "umph". Again, maybe because we had to take it to go...I would like to go back and try it again. It was a cozy place with a nice patio with great views, and the service was good! I forgot to take photos, but would recommend giving it a try!
google avatar

Patrick K.

Yelp
Pizza was good. I recommend anything with green chile. We had the Taosano with both meats and the crust was really good (not soggy). Pizaños is sadly not dog friendly. Pro tip for the owners: There is an alcove out front that would be perfect for tables so folks can dine with their dogs. We weren't the only dog parents who took our pizza to go.

Yelp
Tasty and reliable pizzas and other food offerings, efficient and welcoming service with a friendly atmosphere

Yelp
A feel good NY/NM atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had just the right amount of choices. The food was amazing and large portions, so bring your appetite and share the experience. We'll be back next time we're in Taos.

Yelp
This pizza is delicious. We ended up here on a whim, when our target restaurant was closed for a private event. What a delightful surprise!!!! The crust was perfectly crisp and held up to the toppings without being overly thick. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the delicious pie! We got a supreme variant - green chilis, pepperoni, mushrooms. Highly recommend! Too bad I can't recommend it by name Stop in, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Solid sandwiches and pizza, def one of my go to's in taos. Only negative is they get busy and can definitely get backed up.

Yelp
Great little place for Pizza! Patio was inviting and covered. The blue corn calamari was really good! The service was quick and friendly. Recommend stopping!

Yelp
Great wings and delicious pizza! The service was great and the place was worth the drive from Angel Fire.

Yelp
100% would recommend for anyone gluten free. The menu was clearly labeled. I had take out but inside had a cute dinning area to eat in. I never see the option for gluten free bread sticks so obviously had to try them. They were delicious, almost like a flatbread garlic bread (ask for extra sauce). The gluten free pizza was surprisingly floppy (in a good way) compared to most GF pizza. Appeared to be made fresh and not a standard frozen GF crust. For people who are gluten full, they had options for sliced pizza and was large NY style slices. As well as many other options. 10/10 recommend to a friend

Yelp
Local place to enjoy pizza, pastas, and salad. We enjoyed the Caesar salad(the large fed two) and the small Rio Grande pizza was huge! Pack your patience as everything was cooked to order. We were not in a rush so we didn't mind the wait. The waitress told us upfront that the pizzas take a while to make. It was delicious and the crust had a good texture. Lots of local folks ordering pizzas to go so we thought it was a good indication to check this place out.

Barry M.

Yelp
Never had a "Tunnel" before. Just as good as a hero or sub! Also nice to know there is more than New Mexican restaurants in Taos. Pizanos food and service are very good.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is so good my family dined in twice during our stay in Taos. My daughters ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and spaghetti and meatballs both times and enjoyed it both nights. The kids portions are huge compared to kid sizes at most places. My spouse and I enjoyed a sandwich and garden salad the first night then tried a Taosena pizza which was delicious. The staff were attentive to all our needs. Definitely a place we will come back to next time in Taos.

This little restaurant had awesome food and it was very cute set up like a mom and pop kind of place! The view from the outdoor seating was so cool and the service was awesome the staff was very attentive and kind!!

Yelp
Late lunch yesterday. I'm going to start by saying Taos Pizza Outback (TPO) is some of my all time favorite pizza. So this visit is to mix it up and try something different. Yes, I've been here several times before, as well as done take-out. To begin, I didn't really want pizza. I went to The Burger Stand and their heater was broken, in process of being fixed. I then decided to hit up Abe's in Arroyo Seco. I called to make sure they were open but there was a confusing message on the machine. Well, it's only 5 miles. And no, they were closed. I had my jaw set on a green chili cheeseburger followed by Taos Cow. I considered Sol, but really I wasnt in the mood for that. I decided to go back and hit Pizanos. Not a burger, but I know my wife likes this place, and I'll find something to eat. Looking at the menu, I took a healthy turn, and decided on a spinach salad with salmon. Add order of blue corn calamari because I've never had that before. She ordered a slice of Italian sausage, green chili and black olives. he turns in the order and I hear the chef say they have no salmon. Ok, keep the spinach salad, no protein, and add another slice of the same pizza she ordered. Oh, and she got a really hoppy IPA that she loved "hazy" something or other. I like the spinach salad. I prefer the Greek at TPO, as it's maybe my favorite salad in the world. No, seriously, it is. But this spinach was very good. I can imagine a perfectly grilled slab of salmon on there and it would be an awesome meal. (Edit: there is debate within the community whether this would be a salmon filet or something more like slices of salmon such as you would get on a bagel and cream cheese- IDK ‍) The blue corn calamari is the bomb. Especially with the house made honey pepper sauce. Pro tip- drizzle some of that on your slice of pizza. As for the slice. Not going to lie, I prefer TPO, even though my last slice there wasn't quite up to par it was still very good. This was a bit dry, not enough cheese to hold any of the toppings in place. They do offer lots of garnish at the table- red pepper flakes, grated parmigian, basil and oregano. I really think more cheese is the answer. Maybe next time I ask for some chunks of mozzarella or goat cheese dropped on it. That's probably an option. Service was excellent! Could not have been better. Overall, I liked it better than my previous visits. I'd come back, I just need to fine tune my ordering. I'm going to say it's a solid #2 in my list of pizza joints in Taos. Remember, your mileage may vary, and we all like different things.

Yelp
Love the food and the people who's talents here made me and my trio feel welcomed and at home here.We have been here a few times and the pizza is lovely. They have draft beer, make a bitchin spinach salad and have offerings in the pasta department. I have also had the blue corn calamari and very much enjoyed it as well as it's zingy sweet and spicy sauce that comes along with. During sundown the patio is buzzing with excitement and mountain is beautiful as ever. I don't know what else anyone could need. Be nice to the staff they are cool AF,efficient and kind. They get busy because they are good and operated like a well oiled machine. In preparation of any rush call the order into go ahead of the rush if you can.Especially if you are on a tight schedule. The phone rings a lot during dinner inside and no they do not have a full staff of operators taking calls like a call center so expect that you may be call 3 on the line so remember your patience if asked to hold. As a witness they are absolutely doing a wonderful job juggling phone calls. If you're going to have beer you should probably just leave a tab open it does get busy. With that said they operated very safe here and it was very clean and welcoming. Outdoor seating only to protect their crew.

Yelp
Pizanos is a small locally owned restaurant. The chicken on the tunnel sandwich is a real chicken breast & the fries are hot, fresh and crispy.

Yelp
Such a nice little spot to stop in after hitting a long day on the slopes! Phenomenal pizza we loved the mayor, and the Alfredo pizza!

Yelp
Food and salads are very good and lots of items for both a kids menu and for vegetarians; Nice view on the patio of Taos Mountain; The wait staff is very attentive and the owner Charlie is really a nice guy! If you are taking a break from NM green chile...this is the place to land for great pizza and Italian food
google avatar

Neomi M.

Yelp
Man! Let me tell you, I was in mood... It's Friday, after a long week. I wanted a great meal! And Pizanos hit the spot! We were sat fairly quickly considering there was a short wait and window full of orders. We ordered wings... they said it may take a bit longer but didn't take any longer than usual for wings. The salads were fresh and our sandwiches were hardy and great quality. I'm so glad Charlie hasn't lost his touch!

Yelp
We order calamari, and pizza. They r both really good and big portion. Between 3 of us we didn't even finish half of them. Would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Don't blink or you just might miss this little hole-in-the-wall place north of Taos. Don't miss it, though! The restaurant is quite small inside, but they also have a large covered and enclosed patio area. We ordered 2 small house salads and a large Taoseno pizza. Both were fresh and delicious! On each table, in addition to the standard Parmesan cheese and dried red pepper flakes, they offer dried basil and dried oregano. Nice touch!

Yelp
One of the best pizza I've had, the crust, oh my!!, loved the outside dining with the background view of the mountains, dog friendly, one of my fav.

Yelp
Really good pizza. Other food like wings and salad were pretty tasty as well. We always visit when in Taos.

Yelp
It is Father's Day and we wanted to celebrate. After going to 3 other places that were way too crowded we settled for Pizano's. The buser who seated us was incredibly rude. She did not look at us nor say a word. Already weary, it was a disheartening and bleak way to start our experience at Pizano's. We were able to sit outside with a lovely view of the mountain which was an excellent thing because they were incredibly slow to take our order. With only one server (very friendly) in the entire restaurant this was understandable. For my husband and son their pizza was excellent. I ordered the vegan/gluten free pizza, altho the crust was excellent, the sun dried tomato's did not taste sun dried at all. When I pried one out from beneath the daiya cheese I realized it was in fact sun dried. However because it was placed below the cheese, the moisture from the melted cheese interfered with both the flavor and texture of the tomato. I will personally never eat at Pizano's again, but if I were to, I would definately ask them to place the sun dried tomato's on top of rather than below the daiya cheese.

Yelp
Can be a bit crowded sometimes, but the food and staff are amazing. Great menu selection, good portions, and always tasty.

Yelp
Pizanos is a local favorite of me and my family!! The mouth watering flavorful fresh food options, the kind efficient service, and the warm inviting atmosphere (with options to sit inside and outside) and music to keep conversation private, makes this restaurant a topic outing choice!

Yelp
We were in Taos for one night on our 14 day road trip around NM. Absolutely fantastic pizza. We were looking for a change of pace from NM fare. Ordered the pepperoni pizza, side salad and glass of merlot. All excellent. Was surprised by the quality of the merlot for a small pizza place. Staff was friendly and food Wonderfull. Wish they were in our hometown.

Yelp
Had lunch here after visiting the Rio Grande Gorge bridge and Taos. The service was excellent, as was the food. Two meatball Tunnels and an eggplant parmesan Tunnel (hot sub sandwiches), two side salads and fries. Everything was fresh and hot and delicious. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here a week or so ago with a larger party. I expect small places in the middle of nowhere to have very nice workers who are ready to serve you. Instead the servers rolled their eyes. Food was mediocre, I wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Nibor O.

Yelp
I have a very nice experience, our waitress Cosy was one of the best waitresses I've ever had, she made our whole experience that much better. Wish you'd stay open later, maybe again one day?
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite spot to dine-in when I'm in Taos. Their patio sitting area has a remarkable view of Taos Mountain. Sitting in their patio arrangement while drinking wine with a breathtaking view is very unforgettable. The inside is a different story...a bit tight on the sitting area, but it'll do for the delicious food. They serve the best pizza and wings at this local spot. I have this little ritual thing that I have to come here to wine and dine when I'm here visiting...it just a MUST for me. They have a great selection in their menus and the serving size are generous amount of food. The customer service are okay due to a very limited Staff assigned for the day. My overall satisfactory for this restaurant has been consistently 4****STARS!

Tony F.

Yelp
Maybe just a not so favorable experience - Saturday evening - out of multiple item - had a Pizza "Slice" kinda so so - Hopefully not the norm for this restaurant!Rio Grande
google avatar

Cleo P.

Yelp
Super great pizza. Totally unexpected we would find great pizza, crispy crust! The said was fresh and big serving

Aaron J T.

Yelp
I came in to get a small pizza and calamari. It took 48 minutes to get my order, it was just sitting there and nobody bothered tell me it was ready, even though I asked repeatedly. When I got it, the pizza wasn't even cut into slices and was a glob of mush. The employees and cooks laughed at me when I asked them to cut it into slices, like it was a funny joke or something. The pizza tasted like garbage. The calamari came soggy. Not sure what's going on in that place but nobody is in charge and the employees are clueless and rude. Don't eat there.

Amber W.

Yelp
Just left and had some of the best pizza and garlic cheese bread! There was a little confusion because we ordered a half and half pizza but they fixed it quickly and it was delicious! Highly recommend this spot if you are in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Service from Pizanos was decent and, inside, the staff members were all wearing masks to keep customers safe from COVID. Our takeout order was prepared accurately and it only took about 5-10 minutes longer than originally promised to be ready for us. We ordered Caesar salad, fettucine alfredo with shrimp, and penne pesto with chicken as our meal. All of the food was perfectly edible, but it was all unbelievably bland. This had to be one of the least memorable meals that I'll ever eat, particularly disappointing since it consisted of foods that, ordinarily, I really enjoy.

Donna K.

Yelp
Paizanos was awesome. The food was excellent and the service was great. I was in the mood for a great pizza and that's exactly what I had. Highly recommend it if you're in Taos.

Jay G.

Yelp
MASSIVE UP CHARGE ALERT FOR ALLERGIES I would give 1 star but the pizza is good. However, if you have an allergy and they have to modify anything they will up charge you by 50%. I have a dairy allergy and they have to change the pizza to gluten free crust ( their original crust have cheese in it) and a dairy free tomato sauce ( sun-dried tomato pure) due to cheese in the tomato sauce. These options were offered to me without the explanation that there would be an up charge. The owner tried to show me that it's on the menu. However the up charge explanation is in the build your own pizza section, not in the speciality pizza area. I would be ok with a few follow up charge, but they added 50% to the bill, that's just crazy. A 26.00 dollar pizza will be 40.00. I will not be retuning to this place, because they are taking advantage of people with allergies...
google avatar

Yelp
Having frequented this restaurant many times over the past few years, I have finally had enough! The service was sub-par at best. While we were six people, an automatic 20% gratuity was added for "service". The pizza the last few times has had burnt crust and has gone downhill over the years. It may or may not have anything to do with conversations overheaed stating the waitstaff going outback getting high. Either way we won't be coming back. We have since found better places.

Yelp
Our Ski Club is from Utica NY. We needed to have pizza delivered up to the Taos Ski Valley for a club event. Not only did Charlie deliver 10 Pizzas to us he did it on his day off. The pizza was delicious and holy moly it was perfect. The food came hot from 45 minutes away! I highly recommend this establishment. Food was great, service was above and beyond what one would expect. Charlie truly puts his heart and soul into his food and what a fabulous gentleman he is! Pat Tahan, Utica NY
