Pizza Barbone

A truly fantastic pizza, it was my first time trying a hot honey pepperoni pizza and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is also great, the pizza oven in the back really adds to the ambiance and it looked really cool. The pizzas are smaller, I finished mine pretty easily but I would absolutely go again, a great experience!

This place was impressive. Me and my wife aren’t expensive pizza place type people but we loved this place. We got the hot honey pepperoni and the pistachio pizza. Both were super good. Got the beats salad too and that was impressive for me not being a salad guy. Our server was awesome too. For two people you probably only need one pizza and an appetizer so we got a little extra which isn’t a problem.

The food is very good. Pizzas are about 12” in size and good for one adult or a share. We enjoyed 3 different pizzas with the potato being our favorite. Service was good but a tad slow. Snow it was a Monday off season so it was fine and maybe part of the chill vibe. Regardless I would return. The chicken parm special was fantastic and very fresh. You could break it with a fork. I also recommend the garlic knots.

We come here every time we’re on the Cape because they have the best pizza!! The pistachio pesto pizza is to die for and such a unique pizza you can’t get anywhere else. The potato pizza and hot honey pepperoni were also delicious! Our waitress was soo nice!!

Chose this location due to the ratings, but was disappointed overall. Our waiter seemed to be overwhelmed and brash. He handed us our drinks to pass around the table on our own, fine. Never came back to check for refills. Came to collect cards at the end of the meal, and didn’t give a check or price, just ran the card without saying anything else. Food tasted good but the crust was rushed and was white on the bottom due to the wet toppings needing a little more time to cook through. The truffle fries were the best part of the meal, the romaine salad was also good, meatballs were just eh. The atmosphere and location were great; place was not too busy.

Beautiful restaurant. Awesome food. We had the whole place to ourselves. Tristan was an awesome waiter who looked after us during our visit. We recommend them highly and when in the area again plan to revisit. A+++

What fun we had at our daughter’s wedding in our backyard with the help of Pizza Barbone! The perfect caterer for a casual but elegant party… working with the team at Barbone for almost a year to fine tune every last detail including being sure we could accommodate guests with special dietary needs. Everything was delicious and went off without a hitch. Plenty of food for everyone and all of our guests raved about the pizzas. Great job, and thanks so much!!

Pizza Barbone is the reason we come to Hyannis when on the Cape. We found it on a whim 5 years ago and now it’s our anchor for a great meal mid-Cape! The pizza is one of the best I've ever had which includes many pizzerias in New York City. We also love the salads and garlic knots. The lunch special is an excellent deal. There is so much attention to the quality of ingredients and care for everything that comes out of the kitchen. This place is a true gem on the Cape!

Pizza Barbone catered our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The pizza was amazing, and they could cater to our dietary restrictions. Additionally, it was supposed to be outside but they pivoted to serving pizza inside and it was seamless. I would highly recommend Pizza Barbone!

This is one of our favorite spots in the cape. It is extremely consistent and has great food. The service is always great as well. Our favorites are the meatballs and the sorpressatta pizza.

Great pizza restaurant on main street in Hyannis. The mushroom pizza was good with a smoky mozzarella flavor and garlic cream sauce. Lots of mushrooms too. The verde pizza was flavorful with arugula, fresh ricotta and garlic cream sauce. Pizzas were hot and delicious. Crust was soft and chewy. Had the $16 pizza lunch deal, any 12 in pizza, salad and drink. Great deal. Salad was incredible with fresh greens and shaved carrots. Had the special garlic knots, incredible. Fried pizza bread pieces smothered in garlic and cheese and olive oil. Large portion. Good service. Sat outside on the street. Nice experience.

We have a party of nine and made a reservation in advance (only one day). Parking was on the street and pretty easy to find but I suspect we got lucky. The hostess was friendly and got us all set up. The waitress was attentive and sweet. We ordered the meatballs... wowza !! So good we got another two orders. Then we got a few traditional pizzas. Pistachio pizza, Pepperoni pizza and the Salad with apples and goat cheese. Everything was tasty and fresh. Pepperoni pizza was the big winner! I'm still dreaming about the salad! Everyone loved it. We didn't have dessert this time. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked. Everyone was friendly. We will definitely be back!

My better half and I have not been back since the expansion of the restaurant. First impression is the restaurant is warm welcoming and they go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We decided to be seated at the pizza bar (where you watch them make pizzas) with comfortable bar seats. We started with the beet salad with candied hazelnuts. Fresh arugula with splinters of green apple to create sweet and herbaceous flavor. Main course was their signature meat balls and sweet Italian sausage pizza. I'm a meatball snob to my wife perfecting a family recipe so I was not 100% satisfied a little to dry and breadcrumb tasting. But I would try them again. The pizza was delicious. I personally like the crust a little crispy but the pizza was flavorful on all levels.

Why don't I go to Hyannis more often! Yesterday I had the most delicious pizza on the Cape, went out on a limb and ordered a white pizza with arugula and pistachio pesto. I was sooo delicious, even today I reheated it ( removed the arugula first them put it back on when heated) and it was just as tasty today. Thank you Pizza Barbone! My lunch mates got three other types and even thought I only tried 1 of them ( pepperoni with hot honey) the others looked amazing as well. Had a great young waitress ( do we still use that term) she was very attentive, smiley, and kind. GREAT PLACE! Worth the ride!

Good, fresh food, friendly staff! Love the ambiance of the wood-fired pizza oven. Feels like a little home cooked vacation from reality.

Incredible service and ambiance. My family ate here as we were passing through the Cape for a weekend trip. Pizza Barbone has vegan options and was flexible and knowledgeable about making dishes vegan. We had the roasted cauliflower and marinara & mushroom pizzas. A big shoutout to Julia, our server, for being so kind and helpful!

This is the best pizza place on the Cape. Period. Okay, I'll qualify that statement by saying that it's the best Neapolitan pizza place on the Cape... but I believe it's the best style of pizza. And Italians would agree. Pizza Barbone has a legitimate wood oven that cooks theor pizzas to perfection. And the flavors that they offer are diverse and ah-mazing. There's something for every palate... even the kids. Plus they have a daily menu of specials that offer something new and exciting each time you return. Prices are reasonable, service is always friendly, and their recently expanded space means it's easy-ish to get a table.

We stopped in at Barbone for dinner. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. We ordered their daily special of garlic knots. They were delicious. We finished our meal with a margarita pizza. I loved the ambiance of Barbone. I highly recommend this place.

We had Pizza Barbone cater our 60 person wedding. They took so much off my to do list regarding food. The pizza was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic! I highly recommend them for catering!

Good to eat the pizza fresh at the restaurant. I've only tried the gf vegan pizza. Very good!!

Pizza was lukewarm when brought to table & cold by halfway through it. Long time customer. Was.

We got the mushroom and one with sauce and the dough/crust was cooked well- not too charred like I had requested. But it could have used more flavor. I'm used to a Neapolitan style place by me that has awesome flavor in the crust. The meatballs were good- not great. Nice atmosphere. For the area I think it's probably one of the best pizzas you could get. So I would say worth a try-- I'm just probably too particular when it comes to pizza.

We have been meaning to come to this place for a while. Initially, GF was opposed on the grounds that we recently left the mostly pizza hellhole that is massachusetts and moved to NY and I imagine you already know the quality of pizza there. She didn't think it made much sense to pursue pizza during our business trips to Hyannis. After that finally wore off, Pizza Barbone was closed literally every time we made our way to main street. Finally we were available to eat dinner on Main on a Saturday night and snatched up the opportunity to sample this place. They have enough very appealing options that made decision making a challenge. We knew we were going to have pizza but we needed to supplement with some apps. There was something on their specials menu that aggressively appealed to me, I think it was crostini with whipped ricotta, a vegetable of some sort (broccoli rabe perhaps?), sundried tomatoes, and maybe olives. GF steered me in another direction because this was very similar to what we were about to order (pizza) which is reasonable. I settled on their roasted cauliflower to start with golden raisins, pickled red onions (I avoided, obviously), breadcrumbs, and ricotta salata. Delicious. I actually had about 1 cauliflower floret when I realized GF hadn't tried it and quickly offered. "You're really going to ask me if I want some after eating it all?". She didn't want it anyway, I'm certain of it. GF ordered the truffle fries which were a special on that evening. I would like to exclaim that this was the biggest pile of fries I have ever received from a restaurant. It took up essentially the entire plate. The fries were crispy and heavenly seasoned. We ate literally so many of them, due to portion size of course, that we could barely eat any pizza. Don't think we didn't try. I ordered the margherita and GF the bianca verde. The crust on these things is incredible. This is definitely some of the best pizza in town. We also ordered drinks, did you think for even a second that we didn't? I wanted to get the stinging rose but GF beat me to it. She felt it was a little bit too sweet and even though I like them on the sweeter side, I would have to agree. I ordered their margarita which I enjoyed.

TLDR: great food Great interior, good service, excellent food. The pizza reminds me of our trips to Italy. Apps were phenomenal - would recommend the cauliflower.

The food was amazing!! I have an allergy and they were able to accommodate. We had the sweet sausage pizza and the meatball sliders! Highly recommend! They are closed monday and tuesday tho

Very good pizza, little pricey but good food. Loved the atmosphere outside. I didn't feel rushed which I appreciated since many restaurants around the area have made me feel rushed.

Worth a visit to experience pizza. Loved the service and various wood fired pizza. We tried four types of vegetarian pizza. The street Corn and roasted cauliflower were excellent. Christian, our server was friendly and knowledgeable.

They have some of the best neopolitan pizza I have ever had. We sat outside and it was beautiful. I will totally be going back.

This pizza has to be one of the best pizzas I've had. I wish I would've taken a picture but I got the Margherita pizza. I will be back to try different pizzas. Also, place is very clean.

We came in on a Sunday night and scored some parking right out front. We got inside and the hostess seated us. Then we waited...and waited. The tables next to us ordered and got their food before we even saw the waitress. Finally one came over to take our drink order, and it turned out there was some miscommunication between the hostess and the waitress on whose table we were at. But once all that was settled the kitchen and the rest of the service pumped out some awesome food to make up for the initial bad impression. The fried brussel sprouts were incredible. Such a different take having a rich buffalo flavor and it is definitely worthy of a try. For pizza, we got the mozzarella di bufala which was so fresh and delicious. It even was drizzled in olive oil and fresh cheese. I like this place because they actually encourage you to start eating it with a knife and fork because it is so thin in the middle. We also tried the Bianca Verde which was delicious as well, and not all that garlicky. This place shines on the dessert too. I had a special, the Zeppoles, and they were so fresh and airy and paired well with a cappuccino. My girlfriend had the affogato which was equally delicious. Definitely a worthy establishment to try out if you're on the Cape. Probably the best gourmet fancy pizza I've had in a long time. Cool looking pizza oven too!

While visiting Hyannis, we enjoyed a nice dinner out in a lovely setting. Shared the Arancini app and a sausage pizza. Both were very good. I would definitely go back.

The pizza was excellent, I didn't doubt it would be. BUT, what I didn't expect is how delicious their CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES are!! The texture on the bottom and sides tastes as if it was cooked in its own little buttered tin. The center is chewy, filled with chocolate chunks and not underdone like most giant cookies. Yummmmm

I love this place!! I visit my son on The Cape and it's always my first stop. Coming from Manhattan I am kind of a pizza aficionado. Chef Lou and Chef Rob are amazing along with our server, Mira. Fantastic! A must!

We just got back from Italy and we miss it dearly. I came into this town to meet an old associate for lunch. A friend recommended Barbone to us as creative and different but her preferred. There was outdoor seating on sidewalk. I was early and decided on the inside. It was very nice inside with good temperature control. The feel was totally cool and different than what I saw from just outside. It had that European flair. When the pizza came it had a wonderful smell and tasted even better. It was a winner. Close your eyes and you are in Naples. The server named Kelsey was talkative, chill and professional. Very good service. A little pricey for a small pizza but it was good quality.

Pizza was on point. My favorite was the pepperoni and hot honey. Service was on the slow side though - server could've been more attentive. Worth going if you happen to be passing through Hyannis.

Placed an order online to pick up and got home to a burnt crust pizza which tasted awful. With only two other customers there is no excuse for serving a burnt pizza. Shame on Barbarone!

If you were going to offer takeout with a specific app on your website to facilitate it, then you better know how to execute take out. Our pizza must've been fired one minute after we ordered because by the time I got it it was limp and lifeless. Also, there are no warming trays or warming lamps of any kind in the holding pen for carry out orders which again makes no sense if you're gonna offer takeout, explicitly as a service.

Still great and despite their delicious pizza being the mainstay on the menu - the best thing they sell may be the *insane* charcuterie board. Check my pic.

We went to Barbone Pizza this summer and were impressed!!! The food, the service, the atmosphere-everything was perfect!!! Thank you, Barbone Team!!! We will be back definitely.

Good pizza. I love the pepperoni and hot honey pizza. The servers can be a little slow, but all in all a good artisan style pizza.

We were in the area on vacation and decided to stop in for some pizza. We only planned on ordering one but our waitress recommended we get 2 due to the size. We opted for the meatball and the mushroom. Both were so delicious! Seriously some of the best pizza we've had. I hope to go back someday!

We went to Pizza Barbone on a weekday afternoon and had a fantastic meal. We started with arancini. They were delicious. Perfectly formed and cooked. We each got the lunch special - a great value. The salad was just what I wanted - top quality, seasonal veg beautifully presented and lightly dressed. The watermelon radish was a nice touch. We had the mozzarella di bufala pizza and the sweet sausage pizza. They were perfect. The crust was fantastic. The tap water was even good. We sat inside and enjoyed the setting. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

We started with salads, and they were some of the best ever consumed. Personally ordered the special Chopped Salad, but tried the Mixed Greens and Caesar too. They were described as "incredible", "delicious", and more. But on the pricey side of salads, but not a stray piece of lettuce returned to the kitchen. On to the pizzas. I understand pizza as a religion, and have had some great pies. These were pretty delicious. Dough and crust were tasty, ingredients fresh, and sauce tasted homemade. My ONLY criticism is the limited add-ons, specifically garlic. We tried the sopresata, traditional cheese and a margherita. Really enjoyed them all. 12" pies so try a few. Closed with massive chocolate chip cookies and cannoli. I only tried the cannoli, and it was perfect. Cookie was said to be too sugary, but seems that most enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back.

We loved this place SO much that we came 2 of the four nights we stayed in Hyannis. It has a chill vibe that would suit the casual or well-heeled diner. The service was friendly, informative and attentive. Our innkeeper at the Sea Street Inn recommended this place to us in our welcome email, and we are SO glad he did. Their pizza oven is the legit deal!! We saw one in Naples, Italy last year on a food tour. Pizza Barbone has a much more beautiful version of what we saw last year and apparently it IS from Naples. Our first night we shared the Cesar Romaine Salad and the Pepperoni & hot honey pizza. I was a little dubious about that pizza combination, but it was a great pairing of sweet and savory. The salad was delicious also. The pizzas are definitely a shareable size if you are also having an appetizer or sharing a salad (or simply have a smaller appetite). I really enjoyed the Siciliano, their version of a blood orange martini. The second night we came back to have the same salad, along with their meatball appetizer and (to share) the very abundant portion of Buffalo Chicken Penne pasta. The appetizer came in a group of three large meatballs, with extra sauce and two pieces of toasted garlic bread. I loved the savory flavor of the meatballs, along with sauce that was great for dipping the bread in. The salad (again) was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pasta. If you love that spicy bite you get with the Buffalo style hot sauce, you will LOVE this pasta. It came with a generous amount of cubed chicken breast. Though quite full, I kept nibbling on this dish--it was that good--and we still left some on the plate. Their Aperol spritz was a nice accompaniment to this delicious meal of pasta. I HIGHLY recommend this place to locals (who I'm sure already know about it) and visitors alike!!

Sat at the pizza bar and got a Caesar salad and Meatball Barbone Pizza (meatballs, caramelized onions, kalamata olives). The crust was perfectly cooked, slightly charred and delicious! It is a thin crust cooked in a wood-fired pizza oven. Best pizza I've had on the Cape so far!

YUM! I did not know good pizza existed in Cape Cod. Then lo & behold: Pizza Barbone comes up on Yelp...thank goodness for that. The pizza is unique and delicious with the best crust I've had in a while. I was so excited to try their hot honey pepperoni pie and it did not disappoint. Sweet, salty, a little spicy, and overall completely not what I was expecting (in a good way). My taste buds enjoyed that one for sure. Even their plain cheese pizza blew me away. Solid drink menu too. Be sure to add this to your food lineup whether you live nearby or if you're simply stopping in for a vacation meal. Great service too!

Best pizza from Hyannis to Boston. These people know how to make a traditional Italian Pizza. This pizza is the closest I've had to pizza in Naples Italy anywhere in the USA. Don't miss it.

Excellent excellent food! Meatballs with marina and creamy ricotta, grilled yummy bread, fresh basil. Salads are fresh and beautiful. My fav is beet salad- arugula with apples, beets and yummy vinaigrette. Pizza is wonderful, nice char, fresh ingredients, love the special pizzas and they have a good lunch special- individual pizza, salad and drink. The specials each day are excellent- fresh pasta, soups. I liked recent brussels sprouts with sriracha and dreamed about the pumpkin cheesecake for days! Great staff, helpful, friendly, thoughtful. Hyannis and the Cape are lacking in solid restaurants, this one is one of the best we have.

Some of the most unique pizza I've had! The service was PERFECT! Coming from Boston, many places rush your order, drinks, etc. the server allowed my partner & I to enjoy our drinks before getting our appetizers etc. it was the perfect flow not too slow not fast just I highlight the service but don't forget about the food so quality so unique so well done. The wine was delicious. So lucky to have stumbled across this place, I wanted to go back every day of our vacation to try something new.

Amazing food and experience! Great times in their Hyannis location and they did a work catering gig for us. It was a customer favorite! Top notch crew and ownership there! Highly recommend!

Scrumptious dough, possibly 00 doppio flour that kills the blazing temps wood-fired pizza game when it's baked properly, but I find consistency to be waffling at Barbone. The sourcing of all the toppings is exquisite (Forest Mushroom is loaded with shiitake, wood ear, baby portabellas and more, depending on what's avail), and the price is reasonable, with sizable pies for 1-2 at $17-19. The bubble and char on the crust, as well as pie's base thickness, suffer from severe inconsistency. Some 'zas are boxed dark and crackly, with massive blackened bubbles, others emerge barely risen - soft, blanched and pliant. Product is incredible and definitely the upper echelon of area Neapolitan style pizzas. Try the aforementioned mushroom or the pistachio pesto. *Parents: my kids who never met a meatball they didn't devour passed on Barbone's. Proceed with caution.
