On the Grid : Pizza Boccone

"According to the Italian patrons regularly eating here, Pizza Boccone is one of the best pizza places in Sydney. This relaxed, open fronted restaurant is run by a husband and wife duo from Naples, the birth place of pizza! And they don’t just get the pizza right. Their gnocchi, ravioli, and fettuccine are all out of this world. They also make a good gluten free pizza. Photography: Pizza Boccone." - Squad Ink

Amazing food, I had the pepperoni pizza and this was divine! The outdoor seating is great to people watch whilst eating and the staff were extremely friendly. I recommend this to anyone in the area.

What an excellent experience, especially if you are a dog parent. The staff were so warm and welcoming, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home - and after a day where it felt like all of Sydney resented us having a dog with us, this place was a breath of fresh air. And the pizza was delicious! Hands down the best I've had in Australia so far.

A gem in Potts Point. My partner and I are regulars at this place. Pizza Boccone serves authentic Italian pastas and pizzas of outstanding quality. The food is delicious. Our favourite dishes are the pasta with pesto and prawns and burrata pizza. We also recently liked lamb pasta, it had a lovely tomato taste. The restaurant is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food that they serve. Julie, Stacey, Jasmine and Lucy and the rest of the crew of the restaurant always make us feel welcome at the restaurant. I can very highly recommend Pizza Boccone to anyone.

Delicious pizza and amazing service. We loved this family owned restaurant. The hostess/server went out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care of. We loved the truffle pizza and seasonal rocket salad. Highly recommend.

Google
Best Italian pizza in Potts Point: the dough, the most important part, was perfectly balanced, light, soft, it was a cloud. Wooden oven and high quality ingredients. I'll go back to try the service but I'm 100% satisfied with the take away.

The pizza here is absolutely amazing! Tried many times and never was disappointed! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner or a casual night out with friends. Easily one of the best pizzerias in Potts Point — highly recommend!

Visiting from Melbourne and had the best dinner here tonight. Family run restaurant that is serving up delicious thin crust pizza with amazing toppings. The staff are so lovely! So glad I stopped in and enjoyed dinner here with my daughter.

Google
A beautiful spot with truley delicious pizza and pasta. The staff are charming, through juggling one of the busiest italian resteraunts I've seen this side of Europe. Also, they will give you a blanket if you are chilly.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and good Italian food! Everything from the wine to the lamb ragu was perfect. The wait staff was very attentive and made all customers walking by feel welcome.

Yelp
Had a terrific meal here last night. They were very accommodating with modifying the menu, turning the Gnocchi with prawns & napolotina sauce into a delicious Gnocchi with prawns, zucchini and cream. Loved the pizza - always important to get a good base with pizza and they delivered on this. Being wood fired was why we came here and they didn't disappoint. It's also wonderful to see Lankelly Place now filling up with restaurants on both sides of the lane way - making this little corner of Kings Cross vibrant and enjoyable for an evening meal.

Yelp
True Italian food Restaurant run by an Italian family. Some of the best prosciutto and pizza I have ever had. Located on a nice alley in Potts Point. Must stop if craving Italian/pizza.

Yelp
Nice quaint place, staff is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. The pizza and calzone were good: crust thin, good bressaola, nice parmesan. Unfortunately nothing really special either. A solid pizzeria and a good place to go if you are in the area but not worth its current tripadvisor ranking in my opinion. The prices are classic for sydney pizzeria: 20 to 25 aud per pie

Yelp
I usually go to Doughboy or Out of Italy but after a friend told me about a new place that opened across from LL I thought I would give it a try. If you want traditional pizza, made by Italians from Italy in a stone pizza oven (very rare these days) you should give this place a try. There are only 8-9 pizzas to choose from, simple toppings and the pasta is handmade.

Yelp
Wood Fired, traditional Italian imported ingredients, not heavy sauce or options you wont find in Italy... this is a trip worth taking if you really enjoy old world food, not remade Italian but genuine. The Buffalo Mozz and Prosciutto salad is amazingly fresh and straight off the boat, the crusts are perfectly cooked not too much- not undone. They need to carry more local beer and some better wine choices, and maybe add a few more desserts, but if you fill up on great pizza you wont even have room for more! Give it a try you wont be sorry.

Yelp
Boccone is the best pizza I had in Australia so far ! Thin and crusty paste, fresh and tasty products. What else ... Oh the pizzaiolo is from Naples and top ranked in the world. 15$ to take away

Yelp
We stopped in here for a quick bite after a long day of walking around. This place seems to be very popular but we did manage to find the one two-seater table that was open at that moment. We split the vegetarian pizza and it was the perfect amount of food for two people looking for a light snack. I thought the pizza could use a little bit of salt, but there was no salt on any of the tables so I suffered in silence. They do provide a chili sauce, which is extremely hot from what I heard but very flavorful. Worth a try if you're in the area!

Yelp
This must have been the worst pizza I ever had. I ordered a vegetarian pizza and there were no vegetables on it! Just cheese that actually smelled really awful. The pastry was soft and mushy. I ended up eating my cornflakes as I threw the pizza out. This is not the first time I ordered from this place. The first time, they gave me somebody else's order and again the pizza was disappointing to say the least. The second time, all the topping was stuck on the cardboard box and by the time I took it home the cheese solidified on the paper box. I ended up eating the soft pastry. I will not go back to this place, ever again.

Yelp
Great little restaurant tucked away in Potts Point. The staff were very lovely and accommodating. We had 3 pizzas: pear, prosciutto and Gorgonzola, the campagnola (vegetable pizza) and Quattro salumi. The pear pizza was amazing, great blend of flavours as was the vegetable pizza- so fresh! My husband likes spicy so he really enjoyed the salami pizza as it had a good kick to it. We also stated with some Prosciutto and rockmelon which is a great tasting, light entree before pizza. Overall, a great night!

Yelp
Great Pizza and Pasta. Attentive, quick and friendly Italian staff. Fresh and simple ingredients. If you want to find authentic Italian food that is reasonably priced, this is the place to go!
