I actually went two days in a row for a slice a pizza and wasn't disappointed. Their pizza is delicious and it's a huge slice. My partner has their Donair, he enjoyed it. Their customer service is fine but a little cold. Other than that we had a good experience.

Being tired of the overpriced restaurants at the Harboufront, we made the right decision to try delicious baked from scratch veggie pizza and a large portion of fresh Caesar salad. The generous portions of the pizza slices and the atmosphere reminded us of Queens (NYC) pizzerias. The service and the interior need a bit of upgrade, but otherwise this has been the best tasting Italian culinary experience in Halifax!

Google
We were staying at a hotel nearby and were a little tipsy, so it made sense to come here for a donair and garlic fingers. It was busier than other places around so that was a good sign. We got a large donair and it was pretty big, messy and tasty. The garlic fingers were some of the best we've eaten. Great service and atmosphere especially drunk at 1:00 in the morning. We will go back if we're in the area again.

I honestly can't remember when it was that I last had a donair or slice of pizza from the pizza corner the folks at Sicilian. I've lived in N.B. for 30 years and haven't had any reason to visit downtown Hlfx since until now and happily Sicilian didn't disappoint in the least. It was like going back in time. First I had a slice of pepperoni but I was still hungry so I got a large donair sub with extra meat. Everything was amazing! I can't wait to come back.

Picked a random pizza place on UberEats when we were in Edmonton and we were WOWED by our pizza. Made me wish we had fought the jet lag and gone there in person. Thin crust, Mediterranean style pizza that was just as good as leftovers. Wish we were closer to Edmonton now…

Google
Some of the worst pizza I've had here in Halifax. Bad quality dough, sauce and cheese. My pizza was also undercooked, the crust was pulling apart like melted cheese. I wouldn't mind as much if it was cheap but a medium pizza with delivery and tip was $30.

Google
Grabbed a slice here on the way to a concert, had heard amazing things about this pizzeria and it's history. 2 slices and 2 cans of pop were $23. Pizza was mediocre, restaurant itself seemed kinda dirty. The man at the counter was very friendly. Might try again.

Google
decent pizza for $7 huge slice, taste was good. guys behind the counter very friendly. fresh out of the oven so it was hot

Yelp
I only get the opportunity to have a genuine Halifax Donair a couple times a year...so it is really important to me that I make a good choice. The stakes were even higher on a recent trip as I had my boyfriend with me and it was his first time in Halifax. All that to say - I MAY have been a little extra sensitive that said; When I finally received the donair - it was better than I expected based on the super slow service and the messy state of the restaurant (even though it was pretty empty). Agree with another review - sauce was a bit watery but otherwise tasty, but over all - wish I had gone to a better spot

Yelp
I used to come here years ago when I was alot more younger I returned for the nostalgia which was a mistake. The guy behind the counter was too lazy to put on a mask or even ask for if we were even vacinated and our papers. Well I got a slice of pepperoni and a diet pepsi. The only choice was pepperoni which was kinda sad considering it was lunchtime. The pizza looked like it was all torn apart underneath and uneven. Tables dirty and the guy behind the counter was toi busy on his cellphone to bother wiping anything down. Very disapointed. I won't be returning

Yelp
I live on Pizza Corner so I constantly visit Sicilian for a slice. Unfortunately you have to go at the right time to get a fresh slice (lunch hour or their busier times). Today's slice wasn't so nice, unbelievably dry and tasted like it was three days old.

Yelp
Late nights call for late night snacks, which means you have to head to Pizza Corner, line up and get your donairs and garlic fingers! The donair was seasoned nicely and the garlic fingers were piping hot, slathered in garlic butter and melted cheese and comes with a sweet donair dipping sauce. So if you're looking for a savoury food that's relatively cheap after a night of drinking, hit up Sicilian Pizza (they're opened till 4AM!)

Yelp
There were four of us here on a quiet Thursday night in August. I'm talking quiet as in pre-8:30 p.m., well before the crowds got going on Argyle St. around the corner. No other customer in the whole place (that should have told you something), and still, it took them about 25 minutes to prepare 2 donairs and 2 small pizzas. When they finally came, the donairs were waaaay too salty. We were too lazy to do that extra walk to Quinpool Rd for King of Donairs, and we didn't know anything about Johnny K's just across the street, or didn't do our research/reading of reviews beforehand. We were deservedly punished.

Rayyan M.

Yelp
Really good pizzas, the crust isn't too thick and a slice as a whole does not feel too heavy, the sauces served here are amazing as well

Giselle S.

Yelp
Regular Donair bit small but overall yummy and super quick service. Quick and easy :) cashier was friendly

Yelp
Watery donair sauce. skip this place if anywhere else is open (which considering the location will be always)

Yelp
Great pizza and great friendly service. Shout out to the 'donair' pizza with sauce. Yum! We will go back! The Greek salad was just ok (oily) but the pizza is definitely worth it. They also serve wings, donairs, subs, and fries (poutine). The service was great-fast and friendly.

Yelp
I've been in Halifax for about an hour, and I've already had a regular donair, extra sauce from Sicilian. I guess this is a three star joint, but I'm giving them a fourth star for nostalgia. The smells of the greasy peperoni slices and the sounds bad techno music all drenched in donair sauce have been making me smile since I was fifteen. Never change, Sicilian.

Yelp
Sicilian has been one of the pillars of "pizza corner" for years in Halifax. Of course, pizza corner is on crutches these days, reduced to two shops now. But, Sicilian is still a hugely popular late-night, grab-and-go pizza place in the downtown core. Built for foot traffic & fast service, Sicilian seems consistently busy through the day, but it can get crazy busy in the post-pub hours. Sicilian is moderately clean. Service is fast. Price point is very affordable. Pizza slices are large. Ingredients are fresh. Nothing sits around long here. It's good value if a giant slice is what you're after. The veggie slices are my favourite. Their donairs are also popular, but I haven't had one myself for several years. I just don't eat a lot of mystery meat off urban rotisseries anymore. A solid 3 stars for my $4.55 giant veggie slice, consistently loaded with fresh ingredients.

Yelp
A Pizza Shop willing to grow and change! Sicilian Pizza sits in a popular area of Halifax, referred to as "Pizza Corner." Competition is literally right across the street. So how does it compete? Well the staff are by far the friendliest on "Pizza Corner." The space is also wide open so you don't feel cramped while ordering a pizza. Their food quality isn't incredibly amazing but you are always guaranteed a good slice of pizza no matter what the hour. And they want to improve things. I was shocked the last time I walked into Sicilian Pizza because they had replaced their stools with really nice, highchairs for people to sit in. It surprised me because its not like Sicilian Pizza is hurting for customers. But they have decided, although business is good, to keep improving! A quality I don't think I have seen in many Pizza shops. They are also the cleaner of the three pizza shops on the infamous "Pizza Corner." Sicilian Pizza goes that extra step every time which is why their customer base is so loyal. They seem to understand that although business is going great, they need to keep a few steps ahead to ensure they are still on top months and years from now. And they don't seem to have the perspective of just pumping out pizza and getting the customer's out as fast as possible. They have a nice area for you to sit and enjoy your pizza. I recommend: A slice of the Works and throw in some of their delicious, high fat garlic fingers!

Yelp
I'm not one of those barflys who hangs out at pizza corner in the wee hours of the morning after the bars close. But if you are, this is your spot, I guess. Of the three pizza shops at this intersection, this one seems like the one where you're least likely to get mugged, since it's got pretty good lighting. Still, no guarantees, but that's the fun of being at pizza corner at three in the morning, I gather. Anyway, I happened to be downtown at dinnertime last week, with only about 15 minutes to cram something down my gullet, so I opted to grab a slice here. The boys at the counter didn't go out of their way to be particularly polite (is there a special grunt that means "you're welcome?") but whatevs. My slice was exactly what you'd expect in a pre-made takeout slice: huge, carboardy, and greasy. But it filled me up, so again, whatevs. The shop seems pretty clean, so that's a plus.

Yelp
As all Pizza is not created equal. I seldom go with the Big Slice, it seems to satisfy a lot of late night people though. I guess after a long night of fun, food is always in store. We tend to bring down our quality sensors at that time of night as well. Will this fill you, YES!, Will you right it as the top pizza of Halifax, I would hope not! But, it does the trick for late night, and has a clean interior.

Yelp
I think everyone in the HRM has ventured across Sicilians at the 4 corners once upon a time. This is a late night must on the way home from a busy night of dancing. Normally depending on the time there is a line up. Pizzas are flying, Donairs and subs. I like the works on my pizza and late night they are hot and ready. I manage to get across the street to the wall to sit and watch the crowd. Sicilians has a big slice for $5-6 bucks depending on what kind you choose. Sauce is good and the topping are plentiful. Is this the best pizza in town? well that is up to you. I have never actually went in and ordered one to stay. Tables are like Bistro tables and the music is LOUD. To say anything this would be an experience Check it out and make your own decision.
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
Was very disappointed by the service, was trying to pick out toppings and was told to move out of the way of other customers (which weren't present) and later watched a guy who was there with his friends get kicked out because he didn't get food where his other 3 friends did. The pizza is good but the service needs a wake up call

Yelp
Stay far far away from this place . I ordered a pizza last night and just because I happened to not have enough on me to tip the driver he rudely starred me down and then told me off as he turnt around to return to his car . so rude . that's how they treat a paying customer
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
Four stars for sure. Great pizza here. Slices rock. Staff is awesome. They put up with the drunks every night and come back the next. Service is quick and pizza is hot and fresh. I may have once seen a very prominent US politician stop for pizza here when I town! Word travels!!

Yelp
Hot slice coming through! In the wee hours of the morning you may be slightly taken aback, confused that you've stepped into some sort of alternate reality where the lights are on but you're sure it's the Dome. Fear not my friend, you've just ended up at Pizza Corner - the place where once vaguely appropriate fashion choices come to die, and the drunk masses slop pizza topping down their polo-tees and cleavage alike. Need some substantial chow to decrease the impending hangover? Then boy, does Sicilian have you covered. They dish out hot and ready huge slices to the masses not only post-midnight on a Saturday, but also for lunch during the week. You can get a quarter of a pizza for about $5 if you're into a sans meat wedge, and perhaps for a little more coin if you can indulge in something with chicken, but that's not my forte. While you're cruising the corner strip, grab a soda to quench your thirst and watch the surrounding TVs or dance a little to the blaring Sicilian club beats. This is the place to see and be seen post-party. You thought the Palace was your last chance for romance - well think again. Try offering someone a bite of your slice; I know I've been asked by strangers if they can sample mine. Maybe if you play your cards right at Sicilian you can not only leave with a hot slice, but also with a hot single if you're in the market.

Yelp
Garbage food and service. Rarely give one star but was recently treated so badly here. No functioning restrooms. Told me they don't take debit when two people in front of me paid with it. Then refused to give a reason why I was only allowed to pay cash. Staff looked intoxicated. I do not recommend at all.

Kira V.

Yelp
The pizza sauce for "The Works" had an odd consistency and taste. Poutine had super salty gravy. Fries were soggy too. Donair pizza was good, but the donair sauce was just okay.

Todd S.

Yelp
Do not go here for a Donair. Had to walk out because of the poor quality of the food. Got a great Donair from Tony's pizza.

Yelp
"Pizza Corner" is a landmark for all Haligonians and those of us from the Darkside as well. This is one for the big 3 on the corner. As far as customer service and quality goes it's pretty hit and miss for me. I'm usually a "grab a slice" kinda guy. Ideal for filling the void quick after a busy day at the shop. You pay $5 and you get $5 worth in a slice. My issue is sometimes they sell slices that have been sitting around in the heating rack for a long time (like tonight). A lukewarm veggie slice. Disappointing because they can be soooooo good when fresh. It's all in the timing here folks, "get it while it's hot".

Theo G.

Yelp
-terrible . They don't think of the customer . a smallish slice is about 4 bucks ,but the worst part of it all is that it costs an extra 1:50 to use debit IN STORE !!!! Thought that was a little extreme that a slice would end up costing about 6:50. Service was bad too. Quality of the pizza is average but the size of the slices are below. I would avoid again at all costs ...

Yelp
Late night pizza fix-- Sicilian is a staple spot. Located conveniently on the downtown Pizza Corner plateau, late night scallywags and hunger stricken mongrels can find their flavour here. Always an open door, and a brightly colored interior, Sicilian welcomes all walks of life from the get-go. Besides its always fresh pizza slices and yummy craftsmanship, customers can sit at the window booth and enjoy a busy downtown traffic in all its glory. I'd say Sicilian is a safe choice. Its the greasy, low-fare pizza you need after a night on the town. Tasty, quick and easy... pop in with wide eyes and a beer filled belly. Yum.

Yelp
Any good Haligonian (or visitor to the HRM) knows about Pizza Corner. Home of three pizza parlors and a church, it is probably busier on a typical Saturday night than the church is all year round. So the question is, which pizza place is the best spot for your hard earned dollar? If you're drunk, the answer is the one with the shortest line. If you're sober(ish), the answer is probably the Sicilian. This place is bright and noisy and has a couple televisions to watch while you're chowing down on your big slice, which certainly gives it the edge over its corner competition. Considering the volume of people they serve on any given night, they do a fairly decent job of turn around. You can usually get a slice and get out within five minutes, which is very impressive, given the crowds you can see here. The staff are not particularly friendly, but I'll give them a pass on this, dealing with so many drunk people tends to steal your soul. I assume they just want to keep the crowd moving, which is fine. The Sicilian is not gourmet pizza, hell, it's not even especially good pizza, but it is big and greasy and tasty enough. Nine times out of ten it is your best choice for pizza down on the corner.

Yelp
One of the three pizza shops that make up the infamous "Pizza Corner". As you approach this corner from any angle you can see an increasing amount of gum dots dried to the sidewalk. This is clearly a place to go when class is out of the picture, preferably on your travels home from the Halifax night scene. Nothing hits the spot like a big slice of pizza, and the BBQ chicken pizza at Sicilian is pretty good at all hours. I have been given cold slices before, but I guess the bright side is that you can eat them all the more quickly? What separates Sicilian from the other pizza places is that it's speciality is pizza and that is mainly what they serve (as opposed to boasting their subs and donairs). It's not the cleanest place, but you can almost forget about that when they open the sliding store front windows in the summer and you can eat overlooking Blower St. Hot Hint: They only take cash at the register, and their ATM machine seems to be permanently out of order, so bring cash just in case.

Yelp
Another late-night popular-with-drunks spot on Halifax's Pizza Corner. A little gaudier, with bright Italian reds, whites, and greens. It's got several tables and more room for standing about than some other takeaway places. The pizza slices and donairs are monstrously huge, and not of the best quality, but that usually matters little when you've had more pints of beer than you really shoulda done. Sicilian is a chain around the Halifax area, and there are several locations other than this downtown one.
google avatar

Alex J.

Yelp
terrible. unfriendly service. cost $7.96 for a small slightly stale slice and a fountain pop. Was charged an extra 1.50 for using debit, was never given a heads up that it would cost more or asked if I would prefer paying cash . This was not my first time here, ive never had good service always treated very rudely. Not impressed at all will definitely not return.

Yelp
Really good pizza. Been going there ever since I moved into my apartment 2-3 years ago. Owner is very nice and provides really great costumer service. Good prices, and very great tasting.

Yelp
I love these donairs. They are amazing. The best gosh darn donairs in this city. I'd love to give 5 stars. But.... there's never cheese on them. You have to ask on the phone, go in early to remind them to put cheese on it, ask them when they're done if they've put cheese on it... then when you get home, somehow, there still won't be any cheese on it. I had cheese on my donair just one time, and it was a tantalizing treat, never to be tasted again. Please more cheese.

Personalo X.

Yelp
I'm so sorry I inconvenienced the owners by having the crass desire to order food. I also apologize for living in the 21st century and wanting to use plastic. I also apologize for not using your rip-off bank machine with its probable 2-3 dollar service charge. I also apologize to the trashcan where I threw my 3rd rate pizza and my companion's cold donair. And lastly I apologize to any small birds or animals that may have accidentally eaten from that trashcan.

K C.

Yelp
Had an absolutely horrifying experience here. Me and my friend went in on Saturday night, probably around 10pm looking for something to eat because we just really couldn't decide and didn't want to sit at a resto. I looked at the menu while he went to the bathroom and we then decided we'd just buy food from the store and eat in. As we were leaving one of the men behind the counter made a rude remark about why they have the bathroom locked so people don't pull such "greasy" moves. I was completely taken back and not expecting that at all. Then the other man behind the bar joined in with rude, unwanted, unprecedented remarks . I understand that they're on a busy street and get a lot of drunk and disorderly assholes coming through but that wasn't the case. We were simply walking by and went in, the place was completely empty, we acted respectfully towards them and even made conversation before deciding to leave. I don't understand what it is with some people in this city that think it's so necessary to treat young people like trash. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to get called down for being a decent person. Also, if you're going to continue to run your business that way then good luck
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
Not the best pizza in town but always better than any if the other places near by. Usually much fresher than the other places too.

Troy U.

Yelp
The pizza is reliably good and a great stop after a night of east coast boozing. The service is another matter. I get that dealing with drunks is annoying, but why be rude to me and my young son in the afternoon on a Sunday? If it weren't for revisiting my youth, I would have gone elsewhere.
google avatar

Dave Q.

Yelp
Pizza corner at it's best. After the bar you need to go here. Fast service. Fair prices.

Jim T.

Yelp
Mediocre pizza at a cheap price. Located on the notorious Pizza Corner. Their slices are large, but does that really matter when the pizza is best described as a "hot circle of garbage"? Still better than Greco.
