Google
I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere and very accommodating staff, however, not if you’re after a decent pizza at a fair price. I ordered the tutto mare pizza for $33 and was quite disappointed. There was not much seafood on the pizza, the middle was very soggy with a puddle of seafood water in the centre, while the crust and bottom were mostly burned. When leaving and asked for my feedback, I raised my concern with the waiter, who reacted in a very kind and apologetic way - definitely a big bonus point for his reaction!!!

First time trying Pizza E Mozarella. Overall, a pleasant experience with friendly staff and efficient service time. Plenty of varieties to choose from on the menu. I ordered the seafood pizza, which was tasty but wasn’t outstanding compared to other pizza’s I’ve tried. I found the pizza base to be quite floppy and the meal too pricey for the limited toppings I received. We were seated on the ground floor due to last minute booking, which wasn’t super ambient. However, the main floor looked much nicer and dim-lit. Overall, if you want to try pizza in the CBD, give this place a go! I recommend booking a few days in advance for the main floor seating.

Really enjoyed our dinner here, you feel like you are in Italy with the layout, colour theme, furniture, rustica food. Only thing I would suggest is another add on like fresh prosciutto, feel like it lacked it, or too much meat on menu pizzas, simple marg w buffalo, prosciutto, fresh basil & EVOO would be my go to. The lettuce salad was yum and reminded me of my nonnas. Appreciated them accommodating us a little earlier than our booking. Going to the bathrooms was a little awkward walking behind people eating and they seemed to be feeling annoyed by it.

We both ordered a decent Neapolitan styled pizza. Both the prosciutto & vegetarian pizzas were decent. The price of two pizzas came to around $57 which is on the cheaper end in my opinion. The service was fine, no issues.

I never leave reviews but I went here for dinner last night with my partner - this was THE BEST vegan pizza I have ever had. Everything about it was perfect. Lovely cosy atmosphere too.

Famine at e Mozzarella bar. We tried out this restaurant but unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. I ordered Tutto Mare (seafood) pizza - it seemed like there was a famine at the restaurant. The topping only had a few pieces of seafood (see photo) - this was damn expensive for a $33 pizza. I’m not sure if the pizza chefs were trainers or students. The service from the waitress who initially took the order was very helpful. Unfortunately, a different waitress who asked us if we wanted the bill even though I was still finishing my half glass of wine needed to go back to training and learn some etiquette. I thought hurricane Milton was about to hit the restaurant by the way she was trying to rush us out.

The service was excellent!!! The bartender (guy wearing glasses) was incredible!! Very friendly and professional!! The pizza was really good and the waitress (blonde hair) was so sweet!!

Great location. We had 2 pizzas. The dough is well made! But overcooked at the bottom. It was mostly burnt... (see the pictures) Same for patate al forno, mostly burnt. The staff was very attentive. Overpriced.

Yelp
Their wood oven is amazing! Fantastic simple pizzas. Great service. Sit at the kitchen bench for a free cooking class.

Yelp
When the moon hitsa your eye lika big pizza pie that's amoré! Nonna would be proud at the heaven on a plate that is served up from Pizza E Mozzarella Bar. A decor of mismatched plates, old lino covered tables and mix and match chairs and tables in a church feeling type venue somehow works perfectly for this place. The only thing missing from the decor? A piano accordion playing Italian in the corner. This place serves up wood oven cooked everything. From home made sausage (literally a pig is brought in every week and made into the good stuff for the week), simply seasoned ribs and of course pizza. The food is made Calabrese style, in light of the owner Peter's heritage (also owner of Zucca at the Bay). It is for that reason everything here feels like it has been made with passion, romance, amoré and a special kind of moorish Italian spice. Even more impressive is the gluten free pizza option here. No more feeling like you're eating cardboard, nor feeling bloated and heavy after a meal. Our gluten eating friends were not savvy enough to pick the difference! The wine list is do die for and so is the dreamy "Wine Guy" somliers who come to your table and ask you in a French (apparently the two countries are friends now) accent what they can get you to drink. Swoon! The only down side with this place... It's only open for lunch on weekdays and dinner on Friday nights. They just want to leave you wanting more I think!

Yelp
This adorable diner style Italian joint reminds me of places I would eat at as a kid...only with much better food! I dined here with a group, so we got to taste a bit of everything and explore a bit of the wine list. The charcuterie share plate was an awesome start with super fresh (mostly house made) charcuterie. Then followed the wood fire oven pizzas. Great bases, nothing stodgy or greasy and even their Gluten Free options are delicious and good enough to fool any carb loving palette. The wine list features a mix of Italian and local Adelaide wines, the waitress helping us select a great Italian white to match our choices. This place was really popular with everyone - families, young couples, big groups. Just fun casual Italian dining at it's best.

Yelp
Yeah, I had that craving for pizza. Don't we all get it at some point?! With Pizza E Mozzarella Bar looking small on the outside walking in was a surprise seeing the super large seating area and the cosy heat of the pizza oven being on, super toasty! At the time we arrived it was lunch time which meant it was busy but the waiter never failed to forget us. By taking us to our seats, bringing us a jug of water and not taking long to take our order, yay! I was already happy with the service. I decided to order the Maiale with included salami, porchetta, cacciatore. It arrived hot, smelling amazing and HUGE! Now the pricing of the pizza is expensive once you look at the menu but once you actually order it, let me just say I wish they offered halves but it was so good I'm glad they don't ha! Overall I totally understood why they called it a mozzarella bar, the mozzarella was to die for. Should defiantly just make a pizza of just the mozzarella and I'll be a happy customer! Either way, I left Pizza E Mozzarella Bar feeling like I served my craving, full with smiles all around. Will be back!

Yelp
Rocco and a very professional staff provide excellent customer service again and again with each visit. Rocco excels at picking wine and food that matches your tastes once he knows them. This has easily become my coffee stop before shopping and dinner stop for later.

Yelp
Look, if you want good service, great pizza and even better Tiramisu then you have found the place. This is one of my weekly pizza joints. The ambience is nice, the service is excellent and one of my top 5 pizza places in Adelaide and Australia, and I eat pizza every few days haha. The only thing is I wish you guys were open for dinner every night.... :)

Yelp
Today the Dining team were in Adelaide CBD. We have heard a LOT of buzz about the Pizza e Mozzarella Bar situated in Pirie st. I had even previously tasted a slice or two when a pizza had been taken back to the office by one of my work colleagues and had been impressed. I had also heard Matt Preston from the Australian version of Masterchef say that this place has the best pizza outside of Naples I didn't want to let past experience sway me though, and just wanted to judge my dining experience on the present - as with all my reviews. My reviews aren't meant to be a be all and end all, just a written account of my opinions on the day I went into an establishment. When you first walk into the Pizza e Mozzarella Bar, you walk into an invitingly warm room. The smell hits you first. Woodfired pizza's cooking means there's a heavenly smokey smell throughout, with hints of garlic and tomato. The carpet and mismatched water glasses make you feel like you're at your nonna's place. It definitely whet's your appetite! A waiter addressed us as soon as we walked in, set us at a table and explained the specials to us. He was very thorough and persuasive because I ended up choosing the meatball entree that he suggested. Hubby went for the Capricciosa Pizza. You can also view their menu online which I usually find handy. When the dishes came to the table I was pretty excited. I could smell the tomato and basil coming from mine and it had been smothered in a gorgeous sauce. I couldn't wait to try it! The meatballs were pork and veal (from memory) mince and had mozzarella cheese in the middle. It's not in the photo but this dish also comes with four slices of continental bread which is just heavenly!! So deliciously fresh and soft. I started mopping up my sauce with the bread before I'd even tasted the meatball! That sauce was just divine and probably the best thing I had in this place tonight. I'm sorry to say that while hubby didn't have an awful experience with his pizza, he didn't love it either. The dough was really spongy and fresh and tasted great. The only problem was, the centre of the pizza was watery and soggy. He wasn't able to pick up a slice. Maybe that's how they do them in Naples? Although I've been to Naples and I don't remember the pizza's being like that. I felt really disappointed for him because I knew he must he was looking forward to having some good pizza. The pizza had a bit of a rustic look. He also felt like there wasn't enough toppings. The photo doesn't really bring out how barren the pizza was. However, I can attest to the fact that in Italy, the pizza's are like that. Hubby has a Canadian/American background and I've seen the way they pile on the toppings over there then smother it was cheese and more cheese. Sadly this pizza was barren however, what was on there DID taste good. The music that was playing when we were there was eighties and nineties pop. I would have thought they could have gone for something Italian - something more authentic. It was sometimes a distraction. I was told they make that beautiful bread I ate in-house and in fact, I could buy some to take home if I wanted. The restaurant also does cooking classes which may interest some people. Their website gives you more information. For the dollars that this place asks, and for the reputation that it has, I would have expected a little more and I'm sorry to say we were a bit disappointed and not entirely full when we left. After strolling through the city, we went to the Adelaide Central Markets and made everything right again with a couple of treats! Love the Adelaide Markets!

Yelp
Overpriced. The pizza is good, but not great so they prices are hard to justify. My prosciutto pizza was too salty. I get it everywhere I go and know its naturally salty. But it tasted more like pure salt than salty.

Yelp
My mouth is drooling right now thinking about this place... The food and the atmosphere was amazing.. With a dual level layout and dual wood ovens, italian opera music playing in the background the italian exchange student serving me... I felt like I had stepped into a downtown restaurant in the commercial hub of a bustling italian city.. Then there were the funky tables and chairs which looked like that had been pulled straight from my grandparents old house Well that was the atmosphere, the food was awesome, fresh, quick and full of flavour and in my opinion well priced for its location on Pirie.... oh and that bread, I still dream about it... wondering how did they possibly make it soo good. I will be back and I intend to try everything unless it has anchovies on it. Make sure you get the bread...

Yelp
Fantastic place, you should book but they have a bar you can eat at if you're like us and didn't book. The staff were all fantastic and the food was as you expect from Enzo's. Perhaps surprisingly, I orders a steak sandwich in an amazing sour dough roll which was fresh and crisp and had a fantastic mustard base sauce, the most luxurious steak sandwich I've had. The classic radicchio salad and arborio rice dish etc was all great.

Yelp
Do you know what comes out of a wood oven? Goddamn magic that's what. Or, in the case of the Pizza E Mozzarella Bar, everything. That is, everything you eat at this place is cooked in the massive wood ovens in the open kitchen at the front of the restaurant. I've eaten here twice now, a lunch and a dinner, and each time I've ordered far too many dishes and too many bottles of wine. Both times I've sent all the plates back clean and the bottles dry. Salsicce and pork belly are made on site and cooked in the wood oven. Suffice to say they are pretty good. Pizzas are flavorsome and crisp (the chef does the cirque du soleil spinny thing with the bases which is worth watching). The waiters have "wine guy" embroided on their aprons and seem to live up to the claim. If you grew up in an Italian family, you'll recognize the crockery. Actually, you'll recognize the whole scene as being like going to some wog auntie's place. Complaints? It gets busy: I've had to eat earlier than I'd really like to in order to get a table. Also, dinner is only available Fridays, which is a bit limiting. Not open at all on weekends either. None the less, I dig it like a hole.

Yelp
One of the best pizza restaurants in Adelaide city. True Italian style, with fresh pizza base made everyday. Great friendly service, very personable staff!

Yelp
The best pizza I've ever had. Simple and delicious. The crust is like eating clouds! The service average but it was worth it for the pizza. Mmmmmm

Yelp
Oh. Wow. !! This is seriously the BEST pizza place in the city ... I have been past here many times, but have been put off due to the crowds. When organising meeting friends for dinner after work, we booked in here, as there was sure to be something to please everyone. Pizzas are all 12" - we ended up ordering three for 4 adults and one child, and this was just the right amount (assuming that you want to save room for dessert!). We order the classic Margherita (which wasn't the best Margherita we'd tried, but still delicious), the Quattro Stagioni (Ham, Olives, Artichokes, Salami - this was supposed to be one ingredient on each quarter of the pizza, but we had them mixed since we were sharing), and the most amazing pizza of all ... the Quattro Formaggio - 3 cheeses on one pizza with rocket on top! Oh my, I could have just had that last one to myself (in fact, next time I might!). The service was very quick and very friendly, and there is quite a lot of seating - a large space at the back of the restaurant that I wasn't aware of. This is definitely somewhere I am looking forward to re-visiting again!!

Yelp
A quick lunchtime dash over to Pirie Street to try the pizzas on offer at Pizza E Mozzarella Bar. Took a gamble by not booking on a Friday but were able to be squeezed in for a half-hour speed lunch before a table booking arrived. Orders were taken quickly and we opted to share the Margherita with a last-minute add of salami. The pizza arrived quickly and was gone just as rapidly. A tasty treat, perhaps a little damp but definitely good enough to eat the crust (which I don't often do). When we arrived, the place was only about half full but a large table arriving for their midday bookings meant the noise levels escalated quickly. It wasn't unsuitable for our purposes but if you're looking for quiet intimacy, perhaps pick your times!

Yelp
I have visited here a few times and it never disappoints! Fantastic pizza. I have ventured away from the pizza menu to try the fish on one occasion and it was delicious. The staff are always cheery and friendly. I will be returning !

Yelp
Just didn't love it I'm afraid. I found the service rushed and the pizza bland and expensive. Sorry mates, just not my bag.

Yelp
Over rated and a little pretentious. Thinking a copy of this restaurant, a copy of that restaurant, a piece of this business and a rip off of that business is the obvious theme when you walk in. Messy and not original. Unfortunately the pizza was a little over salted and the base was like a sao biscuit! The prices are very, very expensive for a pizza! i don't feel I need to return.

Yelp
Just got back from lunch at Pizza e Mozzarella Bar! A friend took his fiance there on Friday night and decided to introduce me to the place on the Monday after. That's a good indication of how good this place is. The service delivered by the Swiss waiter was polite and helpful, the decor of the bar was very 'vintage', very atmospheric; it felt just right, a world away from the busy yet quiet Adelaide streets outside. We had some sparkling mineral water, two pizzas and some Italian beers. The pizzas ordered were both great. The proscuitto on mine was not too salty but very flavoursome and the base on the pizza was very traditional. The beers ended up being given to us for free -- they left them off the bill and once this was brought to their attention they said not to worry. The good feeling demonstrated here is another reason to return. Will be back -- whether with colleagues during the week or with a lady on a Friday night. Go there!

Yelp
This is as good as it gets. We skipped the pizzas altogether and had antipasto and a cheese platter...and "a few glasses" of wine. The antipasto platter was simple but cooked with love and served with love... and yeah it tasted great. Ti amo!

Yelp
After a day at McLaren Vale on work xmas lunch and then a few drinks at the Union (hot, crowded and super noisy) when the doc picked me up he suggested we try and get in at PeMB. Big call at 7.30 on a Friday night. It was packed as we expected, but lo and behold unknown to us one of the owners is well known to doc so they squished us in at the bar which was great as you get to see all the action there! Before I go on I need to say we have our own wood fired pizza oven built by the doc a few years ago, and we have spent the time since trying to make the perfect pizza - with some success. And we love buffalo mozzarella! So what do you order when you aren't all that hungry but just want a top up? A Margarita pizza (the true test of pizza) and a couple of glasses of good SA Shiraz. So it comes out smelling great, the crust very light, for me a bit "water crackery" but cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce is exceptional. The buffalo mozzarella and basil were very sparse, I counted four basil leaves and some very small patches of the cheese. I know it's expensive, we use if for our margarita pizzas, but this was just a little stingy. Nevertheless, we will return - need to check out the little piggy and the mozzarella plates looked really good. And of course to have another pizza............

Yelp
After reading and hearing a lot about it, we went with hopes of having a good time and food but the service left us feeling bad and disappointed. Went on a Saturday evening and there were two seats available at the front window when we walked in and asked to dine in. Waiter1, without batting an eye, told us that they were booked out for the night. So we decided to order take-out. While going through the menu, we checked with waiter2 if we could get seafood soffrito to take away and were told not a problem. We then placed an order for a pizza and the soffrito with waiter1 and he said no, they could not do soffrito for take away. We ended up ordering 2 pizzas for takeaway and were asked to pay promptly, which we did. Another couple walked in without a reservation later on and were seated at the window by waiter2 right in front of us. There was nothing we could do at this time as we had already ordered take-out. But it left us feeling bad and disappointed. When our food was ready, waiter3 comes and asks for payment once again. Overall it felt like the waiting staff were not all on the same page and one did not know what the other was doing. Food wise, La Pizza was good and Seafood Pizza was too seafoody for our taste.

Yelp
Singularly flavourless funghi pizza in our experience. Dough was good, but the overall effect was uninspiring. My family is from Sicily, so I should know that pizza is different from region to region. Didn't really care for this, although there was nothing wrong per se. My husband had an instant case of indigestion with his. He's not prone to that, although you can never say it's definitely one thing or the other. I certainly didn't think it was value for money.

Yelp
Have eaten here a few times now and every time has been great. Beautiful pizzas (lovely thin base not greasy) and the lamb ribs were tasty an generously portioned too. Great venue and atmosphere, can't wait to go back for a banquet!
