Pizzarella

A gem. Off the beaten path but worth the few miles from the highway to enjoy good pizza. The crust was light, perfectly crispy and the bones were not dry and hard, more like a breads tick so they were eaten. Everyone knows the cheese makes a pizza great - outstanding. And loaded with toppings. Will be back when we are down this direction again. From St. Louis and we know pizza. Pizzarella is excellent.

I felt the pizza was slightly overcooked. It was absolutely delicious otherwise. The pepperoni rolls were fabulous. I think my favorite part was the ravioli and garlic bread. Definitely feel the side items and desserts were better than the pizza. Which may have been due to the way it was cooked. Definitely impressed by the overall presentation.

Nice and quietly comfortable setting. Enough light to see but not too bright. They have a bar and have served consistently delicious food for decades. The cheesey bread has flavor, is soft, and yummy. Favorites are the pizzas, pastas, antipasta salad, and the Calazones. But everything is good quality, and prepared extremely well. Gustavo, our waiter had a warm and helpful personality. We enjoyed him serving us. This is a hidden gem, no question. I'd give it 10 stars if I could just for its consistency over the years.

One of the better pizza places I've tried in the Dallas area for sure! Definitely a casual, lower end place, but not in a bad way. We ordered wings and they were pretty mid but priced well. The celery was good but small and kinda oddly presented. The calzone was good but nothing extraordinary... The toppings inside were not mixed thoroughly. Good flavor though! We had the spinach feta pizza and it was good! Would come back!

If you want pizza then Pizzarella is the place to go. It will not disappoint. Even if you're not near Carrollton it's worth the drive! We ordered a Margherita, Meat Blast, and a BYO beef, Bell pepper and onion. For appetizers we ordered the sausage roll and mozzarella sticks. Everything was so good! The staff was friendly and the dining room was a clean relaxing setting.

Just moved to Dallas and chose this spot on a whim. It was delicious! We got the thick crust veggie garden pizza and the zucchini bites. Both were super good and fresh, and the pizza sauce itself was amazing. Not to mention how sweet the man who waited on us was. He was very friendly, attentive, made sure we had enough drinks and dipping sauces. Will definitely be back!

Erika helped me today with my ordering! She did an amazing job with breaking down the menu and picking a great pizza today! I also got a cheesecake and it was delicious!! I hope Erika has a great Christmas break!! Great service from her as well!

I walked into the restaurant for my first ever visit with the idea of getting a takeout order. The service was quick and very friendly. I ordered a medium Pizzarella Special w/o green peppers. The pizza was good. The toppings were plentiful. The sauce was a little heavy and it was not the best taste for my preference. The crust was crisp and very good but I do like a thinner crust. I should have just stuck with classic pepperoni.

The atmosphere inside is very relaxing as well as the patio outside lots of plants and open area and space great for date nights. The pricing is very moderate and well worth it. I do feel like the cheese sticks could have been better however, The pasta and the calzone were AMAZING . Definitely recommend I feel like the staff inside could have been more friendly and outgoing other than that very they were very helpful and very fast.

Last minute lunch for a loved one and stumbled upon this Jem! The atmosphere is calm and welcoming and the customer service was excellent. The restaurant has optional patio seating and the pizzas are made fresh upon order. Lastly, I was very impressed by the abundant menu item selections. Perfect for lunch date, solo grub, or casual family/date outing. Chow.

I have been ordering from this place for years. I just had one of the MOST frustrating conversations over had with a woman in that answered the phone and identified herself as a manager. The online payment system is down. I have been sick with severe nausea for a couple of days. Last night I ordered online an extra large pizza, garlic bread and (1) cup of ice chips. Delivery was fast as always. Tonight I asked the lady that answered the phone to bring the same thing they brought me last night. "This woman said, " she would need to ask the driver if he was willing to bring mea Cupid ice chips with the order threat are already bringing" This is the craziest response from a manager that I have ever had. I called twice because I thought she misunderstood something. Nope. This manager really meant she would have to see if her driver was willing to bring me a single cup of ice chips with my order. Lord this so unbelievably ridiculous, it sounds like a made up story.

I love the pizza here! While the last time I ordered they didn't get it quite right (I ordered thin crust and didn't get that) they've always got it right before then! Highly recommend!

Easy, casual affordable Italian food served by nice staff. Had a weeknight girls dinner here and really enjoyed alll the food ! Restaurant is quiet - good for chatting :)

I really don't have too much to say bad about this restaurant. I was told by a friend that this spot had thee best pizza. It was three and a half out of five. The Ranch and Bleu Cheese dressing's tasted none original like the cheapest store bought brand they could find to pore in the little plastic containers. The pizza was good. I wasn't taken back by the taste of the food so I'm not gonna try this spot again.

After Marco's on Marsh Lane screwed up our last two order deliveres, we thought we would try Pizzarella for the first time. We placed a delivery order for a pizza using their app at 5:53pm. It said expected delivery would be 6:38pm (45 min). At 6:38pm, it extended to 7:02pm. Around 7:02 pm, it extended to 7:17pm. At 7:20pm, I called the store. The gentleman found my order and said it should be there in 5 to 10 minutes. At 7:30pm, he called back and said the driver "left it at the door". Really?! I told him that no pizza was delivered at our door and double-checked just to be sure. We suspect the driver left it at the wrong address if he really delivered anything at all. Why would any driver leave a hot food delivery at an unanswered door? We did not request contact-less delivery. But I digress... The gentleman at the store asked if we wanted them to re-enter the order. Said it would be another 25 minutes or so. Consideriing we had now waited nearly 2 hours, I declined and asked him to reverse the charge on my credit card. Guess our first time with Pizzarella will be our last time.

Best lamb gyro sandwiches and awesome signature toasted steak deluxe subs! Cheese cakes are delicious. Fast delivery. Items ackaged very well. Friendly customer service.

I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sub, the bread was over toasted, there was literally 2 thin slices of turkey & a house salad amount of lettuce and tomatoes. The flavor was still ok - but I'd probably only order here again for convenience because it was barely bearable.

Better service. Ordered food, When I arrived I was told it was close to closing so I could not get what I ordered on the phone for pickup.

I hâve ordered from them 2 times already and awesome service and the food was fantastic I love this place and these people really take care of you. Please buy from them I give them a 10

Pizza is good. But I think it's a bit pricey. The food is good tho. Delivery driver are nice and fast.

Came here for lunch was thinking a slice and a gyro. They don't sell pizza by the slice though. So I went ahead and got a lamb gyro with chips and a bottled Mountain Dew. They brought it to my table about 7 minutes later, the girl was really nice and knew the menu. It looks nice inside and is closer to a restaurant than a pizza spot, I'd actually take a casual date here. The gyro was very good and the chips were good. I'd go back.

So subpar and overpriced. I've had better frozen pizza. Wings were overcooked and served with a stingy amount of dressing - extra will cost you.

Truly horrid pizza, as in worse than Cici's. And, it costs more. Don't waste your money here, save it for the hospital visit.

Have passed this place many times and finally stopped in. Very cozy inside and friendly service. We got a garden salad that was super fresh. We also had the small Pizzarella Special. For being a small, it was enough for a lunch and took the rest to go. The garlic bread was superb and sampled some of their Alfredo sauce and it was very good. Definitely coming back. They have such a big offering of pasta, pizza, calzone and gyros. Worth checking out.

Some of the best pizza around! Ranchero love in the house! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is what it was. I have eaten at this restaurant for 15+ years. It was my favorite pizza place. 5 years ago we moved farther away and outside their delivery. I only get to eat there a couple of times a year anymore, so I was looking forward to picking it up today. It's been about 8 months and WOW... gone downhill... Ordered the same order as always. Meatblast and Ranchero with a Carbonara. Meatblast: Looked more like cheese pizza, with not much meat at all. Ranchero... Where is the ranch?? Was dry with MAYBE a slight ranch to it and overcooked. And the carbonara...this was my favorite pasta... I loved this pasta... This was chicken alfredo and not carbonara. Could not even see bits of the pork/bacon that they used in the dish. Couldn't taste it either. So I called and spoke to the woman that took my order. Explained the issues and... nothing. Didn't sound like she cared at all. Explained because of this that we wouldn't be coming back. Got an 'Uh huh' back from her. Could tell she didn't care at all. I wasn't looking for anything; I know people that call for freebies but I've did the Pizza industry for 11 years. I just wanted to call and make my concerns known. Didn't care. No customer service. So I will never be going back again. And what was once a 5-star review I wish I could make it -2.

I am so disappointed. I have been a customer of Pizzarella for over a decade, and I don't know if they changed hands or got new management or what but it's nothing like it used to be. We get the same two pizzas every time, the ranchero and the meat blast, and as I noted, we've been coming here for years. On our most recent trip was like a completely different restaurant. The meat blast, which usually has so much topping that they often fell off, was a thin scattering. The ranchero had almost no sauce. I might as well have gone to one of the chain stores in the adjoining plazas, and I would have paid a fraction of the price. Pizzarella was always more expensive than Dominos or Pizza Hut, but the quality was worth it. This isn't even getting into the carbonara, which is my other half's all-time favorite there. It might as well have been chicken alfredo. Called them to give feedback, the manager was very blaise. Oh well, the name might be the same but nothing else is, so I guess I'll vote with my wallet and go someplace else.

I have been a loyal customer of Pizzarella for the past couple of years. I would normally give them a 4 because they make some delicious meatballs and subs. However, they are not practicing safe no contact deliveries. Twice I have requested it and twice I had answered the doorbell ring to find the driver literally a couple of feet away in front of my door. I am in a high risk health category. I rarely order delivery these days. So it was a treat to myself after a difficult week. No one else seems to have a problem doing no contact, why do they? Edited to add: Now I am even sadder. The order wasn't even right. *sigh*

Ordered the house special everything pizza, believe it was called the Pizzarealla. Though it has everything on it, the flavors lacked any quality or uniqueness.

Amazing pizza!! Not only did I receive fast delivery but the food was just sooo good! Fried mushrooms so yummy! I really like the thin crust pizza I'm not much of a fluffy dough pizza person so this place is perfect! They had no trouble finding my apartment as many places have when I order delivery. I'll be ordering again!

I have driven past this place for years, and had never stopped till today. At first I thought it was a little pricey ($12.99 for a calzone) but was VERY WRONG! I should've stopped here waayyyy before now! I had a steak calzone that was not only huge but extremely delicious! This place is about 5 minutes from work, and we will be frequenting this place in the future. UPDATE!!... I have ordered from Pizzarella several times over the past few weeks, and they haven't failed ONCE!...

Absolutely love this pizza place! They are usually open until late and I am always craving this pizza. I normally get the cheeser pleaser pizza and which ever protein, (meatball is my favorite). It is authentic and absolutely delicious, very cheesy! I've tried other personalized pizzas and they are cheesy and delicious as well. I do wish they had goat cheese but ricotta will do for now. The place itself is big and I am surprised of how empty is usually is, may be due to a lot of delivery orders. This place is sooo under rated. One of the few restaurants I go back to regularly!

Found accidentally on Saturday and it won't be an accident when it becomes my regular pizza place. I live in Lewisville and will drive over as it was the best in this area. Worth the time and not very expensive.

Who knew?! Decided to try this place on a whim and because of the reviews. Its very good. We order for delivery. They have good deals. Its our current go to for regular pizza delivery.

The calzone I ordered was cold especially in the the center. Like it was frozen previously. I asked for it to be reheated it came out soggy and tough to eat. It was not pleasant. I didn't enjoy it which I voiced but they still billed me the full amount.

I love this pizza place. The white sauce pizza is the best. Very garlicky!! Love it. Give it a try. I always get to go or delivery. Love the thick crust. By far, my favorite Pizza spot.

I have given this pizza place yet another chance. Used to love it. I ordered the pizza and the toppings were scarce. The wings were yet again cooked to jerky. In an order of 20 wings there were 3 little drums and the rest crunchy dry wing tips. I was literally crunching on them. I had to toss the wings after two. I called to complain and the gal who answered said they have no control over the wings. Told them I didn't want another order and would never order there again. Wow...just wow. The pizza place across the street is stellar and my new fav.

Everything they serve is great. I almost always order the lamb gyro or meatballs. Pizza is to die for with fresh ingredients.

We always said we were going to try it and didn't get to it until I went in and ordered some cheese bread, wings and a Caesar salad on my lunch break. Everything was good except the chicken on the salad. We ordered from here again over the weekend. We ordered a MEDIUM pizza with extra mozzarella and it was GOOD! Delivery service was kind too. I am a guaranteed customer.

3 Stars was because of service I'll just stick to pizza here, or appetizers. I came with a friend. I usually dont eat in. All I do is carry out but this time I ate in. I got medium pizza, mozerella sticks, and seafood pasta. The waitress was okay.. it was really busy so she wasnt very attentive but it wasnt so busy to where she couldnt be attentive. I mind my manners and said Thank you a lot, not once did she say Your welcome or seemed as if she acknowledged it. Okay maybe once by nodding her head and saying "Mhm." My friend and I drank our water fast, and I had to ask for a refill and she only refilled mine, not my friends. We just let it go I guess; she seemed to be "too busy". I still tipped her a good amount but thats cause the pizza was good. The pasta was bland I wanted to pour whole shaker of Parmesan ontop of it. I could've made the pasta myself. The shrimp were small & crab meat were crab skins - hardly any meat. Also the garlic bread was hard..& barely had bread inside. I'll just stick to pizza here. They know how to make a good pizza!

We ordered a specialty pizza for delivery at 5:58 pm tonight. It is 7:15 and we still have no pizza. Will not order from pizzarella again..

What a gem!! Recently tried their pizza with gyro...simple and so delicious! Spaghetti with meatballs was a pleasant surprise. Absolutely tasty with no sour tomatoe taste. The chefs salad such a large portion so crunchy, we craved for more! Plus the services was impeccable. We're loving this place & will be back for more!!

This is really just a review of the calzone's. I did a bit of a head to head comparison. I had a calzone from paparazzi last weekend, and one from here today. Both were cheese, pepperoni and mushroom. I've noticed some people just rave about the calzone's here. I"m sorry folks but I do not agree. It was a like a loaf of bread for starters. I mean way too much bread. The filling was far from edge to edge. Rather a line down the middle. And the fillings were sparse. In stark contrast to the behemoth loaf it was contained in. The sausage was flavorless and broken up into little pieces rendering it reminiscent of cat food. And it was $10!! The one I got from Paparazzi was far superior and $2 cheaper. Coupled with other items I have had from here that were also underwhelming, I have determined I will not return.

With a very strip mall feel outside and in, we sat down for a dinner with the kids. Friendly but slow service brought out a frosty cold Shiner at the right price. Wing sauce was very good, but the rest of the food from that point on met with mediocrity. The greek salad was majority lettuce and minority greek goodness, but still flavored well. Pizza dough was nicely thin, but reminded my taste buds of a water cracker. Toppings and sauce were nothing to get too excited about on the ham/pineapple and pizzerella specials. Topped off the meal with an Italian calzone, which was the best part by far as other reviewers have mentioned. However, for the price, I would have rather spent the time and half the cost at 'Vito's' in Irving (or just gone cheap and ate at Sbarro's). Trying to get into Yelp, but 4 star reviews like this make me apprehensive.

Came in with a group nine for lunch. Benjamin was the only server and it was busy. He took great care of our party and the food was amazing and the lunch special prices can't be beat! Kudos to Benjamin! We will be back.

We live nearby and finally tried the pizza, got a cheese and pepperoni. It was delicious! I can't believe we hadn't ordered from Pizzarella sooner, we have been missing out! Can't wait to try more of the good looking menu.

We ordered dinner from there tonight and as it so happens we were missing 1 item. I tried calling back to the restaurant but no answer. But then just a few minutes later the delivery guy shows back up with our missing item and a free dessert! Now that's great service and truly appreciated. Our food was delicious and hot and we will definitely eat there again.

Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and got spaghetti without the meat balls. The sauce is not good enough to just eat with pasta. Andras the manager said I have to come up to the physical location to get a refund even though they messed up. Avoid this place!!!!!

Stop by this place craving a pasta dish. Let me just share the moment I walked in I was greeted by Carlos. I am a foodie as well in the industry so I tend to ask a few questions. Carlos was so knowledgeable of the menu which guided me to ordering the Lasagna. I was very impressed with the flavors from the sauce, herbs and cheese. Was so tasty and the portion is enough for 2 more treats. Came with a Cesar Salad and very good garlic bread. I will diffently be back to try more... Thank you Carlos for the great service and dinner. Was delicious!!!

Everything I ever order is delicious and the portions are large, wings are properly cooked and the "wing dust" seasoning is great, a toasted sandwich here is like 2 sandwiches elsewhere, never disappointed in dozens of orders and will continue ordering from here.

Got a super good Margherita pizza last weekend - even stellar reheated on day two! Kids loved the cheese sticks. Wings were great and not too hot and spicy, which is good cuz I'm a wing wuss. One of the better pizza places in the area and at this point we've been to them all. Definitely will be regulars!

How much do I love Yelp? A whole lot. Why? I would never have found this place without it. After seeing Joe. F.'s ROTD on this place I bookmarked it and decided to give it a go when I needed pizza sometime. Joe F., you have gained some serious food cred in my book. Let's just get down to it here- The Italian Calzone is frickin mind-blowing. My wife and I really were not expecting anything too special but this thing was a round-house kick of flavor to the tongue. Indulge me here for a moment: 1. Hot, crispy dough, with a thin coat of butter and a dusting of garlic salt and parmesan. Yes please. 2. The perfect blend of hot, melted cheeses- mozzarella and ricotta. The ricotta snuck up on me like a dairy ninja and destroyed all attempts to eat this thing civilized-like. We devoured like hungry wolves. 3. Loaded with luscious, salty Italian meats- ham, capicola, pepperoni, and salami. Need I say more? Probably one of the greatest Italian creations I have ever put in my mouth. We also had the brushetta, which was good but not as great as the calzone. The menu is huge, so it seems imprudent to go higher than 4 with such a narrow sampling of items but, seriously, if you don't like this calzone, you may not have much hope for this world. Service - 3 Stars Food - 4 Stars $10 Large 3 Topping Pizza - 4 Stars Add us to the list of Pizzarella fans! Marilyn M., Rachael M. and Jennifer R. are right! (must get tiresome, always being right, wouldn't know myself). Three of us split a large 3 topping pizza on special for $10.00 and an order of Jalapeno poppers. We had one slice as a leftover, even. I assume this is a lunch dine-in special since the regular menu price would be about $15. We liked the pizza crust. It was NY style, with a nice crustiness to the dough. It held up to the fresh ingredients well. The cheeses were tasty and appropriately stringy. The sauce was about the right amount for a thinner crust pizza. The toppings were generous and covered the entire pizza. (Don't you just hate it when you get a pizza where they leave a huge outer ring of crust with no sauce and toppings? I know I do!) The jalapeno poppers were a generous serving as well at $3.99. There must have been 5 or 6 of these. (I forgot to count before we dug in, and after they were eaten, it was too late to count them). Two of us loved them, and the ranch dressing they came with. One of us wasn't all that fond of the orange cheese on the inside. Different tastes, eh? The place was decorated OK, but I wouldn't think this would make a "romantic evening" kind of place. They also serve beer and wine. No, we didn't try any because it was the middle of the day, for Chrissakes! They have a rather extensive menu, with lots of things like calzones, pastas, wings, subs and wedgies (whatever that is?) They even have gyros. We all liked the place just fine and we would certainly eat here again. We would even recommend the place highly, which we herewith do!

Pizzarella is very convenient for me, so my roomie and I tend to eat it more than we probably should. The menu offers your common Italian dishes (Salads, Pastas, Hoagies, Pizza, Calzones, Sandwiches). It's your run-of-the-mill, strip mall Italian joint. They do serve alcohol, which is rare for the type of place that it is. The interior is very casual, somewhat small. They have a nice patio area as well, where they once allowed me to have my dog. The people are friendly, although not the most efficient folks. The food is decent, the breadsticks are out of this world (hence the three stars). Everything here is always better fresh rather than delivered. UPDATE: Pizzarella changed the recipe. I recently ordered pizza, and it was completely different, a major improvement! I'd definitely suggest giving it a try. The breadsticks alone are reason enough.
