Pizzeria Alberico

A delicious Italian restaurant that takes pizza seriously. I’ve never had appetizers like these before! Honestly I wasn’t sure what most items were on the menu because my Italian is zero, but the employees were super nice and explained everything, they even recommended which wines we should get. There’s good history to accompany the inviting ambiance and delicious food. Their pizza oven took time and effort to arrive from Italy. Great place for a date. I went for a company dinner where they sat us our party of 12 in a separate room and we had the option to order for all at the table and share like a family. You can watch the chefs behind the open kitchen and even sit right up next to the kitchen. Their prosciutto slicing machine is beautiful!

This modern, upscale, table-service Italian pizzeria has indoor and outdoor seating, a clean vibe, an open kitchen, a full bar, and friendly staff. The main attraction was the ceramic oven-fired pizza, which was good, especially the margarita. The Arancini, which is risotto, saffron, and mozzarella, was delicious. The only downside to the pizza was the crust. It was just too burned for me to eat. I like a thin-fired pizza with a slightly burned crust, but this wasn't edible. My son ate all his crust, so your mileage may vary. The atmosphere is a tastefully done modern design, and the open kitchen, where you can see the pizza made, is nice and clean. Reservations and walk-ins are accepted. Still, the crust aside, the food and cocktails were good, and the vibe was welcoming. I'd recommend giving it a try.

It was so nice to found a napo style pizza. Ingredients are fresh and the service is supper observant. Also their interior design is well put together. Good alternative for date or celebration.

Great pizza, and they'll bring some olive oil to dip crust in if you ask politely! My fave is the Diavola. House wine is always decent too.

We loved Pizzeria Alberto, we didn’t have a reservation so sat at the bar. It isn’t a huge place so it will fill up quick just fyi but never felt over crowded. The food was great, drinks were perfect, the bartenders actually cared about what they were doing and you could see it and taste it in the drinks. Service couldn’t have been better, everything came out in a very efficient manner. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area and we will be back for sure. We ordered a few things but got the DIAVOLA but sub’d it with pepperoni and it was awesome. This places definitely deserves better than a 4.4 currently on google.

This place is EXCEPTIONAL! Service, ambiance, and- most important- PIZZA are all world class. My parents have had a longstanding tradition of eating at Pizzeria Alberico every year for their anniversary, so when my wife and I decided on a getaway to Boulder for our own anniversary we knew we had to try it. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed sitting at the “pizza bar” where we could watch all the action in the kitchen. The chef and cooks are pros and it comes through in all of the flavors. The sauce is fresh and the crust is chewy and airy with that wood-fired crunch. If you’re reading this, stop and BOOK A RESERVATION NOW! You’ll be glad you did. We’ll definitely be back!

Our favorite pizza place in Boulder. Fun and lively atmosphere, quality ingredients and great wine selection. The gluten free crust is the best we’ve found in town so far.

First time here and I loved it. Met up with a friend that recommended this and I’m happy he did. Great combination of atmosphere, delicious pizza and great value. If you’re in Boulder, give these guys a try.

One of my favorite restaurants in Boulder! Just went back after the remodel and it still reminds me of the old restaurant I loved. The burrata cheese starter was flavorful and I loved the bread. The artichokes were also really great. I can't believe I didn't find a single chewy piece. The arancini were also great. They were so cheesy and came out hot and crispy. The pizzas were also great. The peach one was on the spicy side which I love but do advise against if you don't like spice. The one with anchovy was a crowd favorite. The one with the zucchini blossoms was really good as well. Personally I do think that the pizzas are overpriced. For dessert we had the budino and peach Melba. Dessert here is my favorite and I will always get the budino. A visit to this restaurant isn't complete without one. The Melba was good. The frozen drink I had was really delicious and had a great consistency. Service was pretty good, could've been quicker to order. Love the ambiance and would recommend!

My husband and I visited Pizzeria Alberico for the first time this month. We walked in on a weekend around 12 PM, and the place was empty, so we were seated right away. We started with the Mela e Cavolo Nero salad. It was well-balanced and reminded us of a Waldorf salad. We both enjoyed the apple cider vinaigrette that accompanied it. For dinner, I ordered the Margherita pizza from the Pizze Rosse section of the menu, while my husband chose the Funghi pizza from the Pizze Bianche section. When the pizzas arrived at our table, the first thing we both noticed was how soggy and wet they looked. I actually asked the waitress if the pizzas were greasy or if something had been added to them, and she explained that they top all of their pizzas with olive oil. I LOVE olive oil, but these pizzas were so soggy it was a major turnoff. We tried cutting into them, but they were such a wet mess that we resorted to picking them up. Unfortunately, eating them that way wasn't any better. We didn't enjoy either pizza at all--they were sloppy, wet, and didn't taste good. We both agreed this was the worst pizza we've ever had, and we won't be going back.

Boulder has an incredible food scene. This spot personifies such. We recently stopped in for happy hour and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend the pizza, meatballs and Italian pilsner. The pizza is made with fresh ingredients, and you can watch it cook inside the pizza oven. The oven is the star of the show. It's gorgeous inside with a long bar. It's fun for meeting friends and enjoy some downtime together. You can also have a quiet date night at a table. You with your Aperol Spritz will look even more pretty just by being in the space. Visited Denver last weekend and ended up having dinner here one night. The atmosphere of this restaurant is so modern and classy, I love it! The pizza was delicious and super light! I ate the whole thing minus the crusts and I didn't feel over stuffed at all. My only complaint about this place is that I think the food is way too over priced for what it is. I believe my pizza was nearly 22-24$ just for cheese, basil, and tomato's. I would say it's worth going once for the vibe, cocktails, and good pizza but i definitely would not come here frequently because of how pricey it is.

This place is pretty good. I would say a solid 4.5. We got the artichoke app, Margherita pizza and the Diavolo pizza. This fed 2 adults and a toddler. Would happily order it all again. Next time I want to try a coffee and dessert too.

Quite Pricey for pizza but the selection of options are creative and quality of ingredients was high end. The bartender doesn't know how to make a martini for the life of him! So I opted for sparkling water instead. Service was quick and the place is lively.

Overpriced, limited menu, spotty service. Wanted to love it but walked out disappointed unfortunately.

Hello again Boulder! For all of you who have not visited this restaurant-seriously-WHYYYY? This is one of my favorites in Boulder Colorado. We had the privilege of visiting again yesterday for Lunch and - WOW! New menu items!!!!! They offer a lunch special!! Picking two options from appetizer's and a pizza ( ahem - the margarita pizza is top notch!) menu as well as sandwiches! Yum! We actually had our hearts set on the dinner menu but our server asked the kitchen and they accommodated our request!!! What?!?!?! Yep - so cool! We enjoyed - of course-a margarita pizza (on the lunch menus btw) and AMALFI! The AMALFI was outstanding! Extremely fresh, lovely with the delicious thin lemon slices and the peas. Tasting of fresh, sweet yet creamy deliciousness. It was just fantastic! We asked for a wine accompaniment! Let me say NEVER hesitate to Ask your server for a wine recommendation here. They genuinely know their wine and never disappoint. As always , the service was 5+++++stars. Of course we ended our dinner with ARANCINI for dessert. These little balls of heaven are such a delicious and tasty treat! Please go, visit, enjoy an amazing dinner in a wonderful restaurant that will literally take you to Italy for a night and genuine experience right here in Beautiful Boulder Colorado! We had been here before the rebrand and I believe change in ownership. The pizza is still great but I wish there were more options available on the lunch menu. I ordered the margarita with sausage and it was very good.

Pizza is fantastic. Mozzarella de buffala is great. Pizza crust is the best in town. Pear salad just delicious

The pizza is delicious! The servers were very nice, friendly, and fast. Good atmosphere and very clean. We sat outside since the weather was so lovely, but the indoor seating looked pleasant as well.

Was in town for our first visit to Boulder. Walking through Pearl St. mall I was Very pleased to stumble upon Pizzeria Alberico. The inside was beautiful, the bar was very organized. It was lunch hour so we got the opportunity to see the chef making the pasta by hand. Their lunch was delicious! We opted for the Diavola and the Funghi pizzas with Caesar salad. Incredible flavor, fresh ingredients and excellent presentation. I'm sure the locals will Love this place. Thank You to the very pleasant staff. Reminded me of a couple of favorite places at home. Highly Recommended

I cannot believe this place doesn't have 5 stars. We just got back from 3 weeks in Italy & this was better than the pizza we had there. They had so many gluten free options, too! Their happy hour had awesome choices - great wine, beer & cocktails & food. We had Negronis, arugula salad and olives. The olives were spectacular. They tasted so fresh and we felt like we were back in Italy. The arugula salad was perfect to split between two people , was adequately dressed and very fresh. We shared two gluten free pizzas - MAIALE NEL CAMPO OMG. Wow. 11/10 & probably one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The SALSICCIA was top notch & perfectly balanced. Our service was great & efficient. Food was spaced out just right. We will definitely be back.

We visited Pizzeria Alberico one recent evening when we were visiting Boulder overnight. We sat outside in the crisp mountain air, split a large Caesar salad and enjoyed two pizzas (one for each of us). Service was fantastic... while our food was also quite good. My chosen pizza was the sausage one which had too little sausage and too much bell pepper on it for my taste, but everything else was quite good. We will return next visit and try other items to get a better idea of the menu offering.

We never ate here but had drinks at the bar. Still gave 5 stars but wanted to post that their 10oz lagers were $13. By far the most expensive beer I have ever had in any establishment. That's for you to decide if it's worth it. Good luck.

Pizza crust was fabulous. Pixza con fungji was delicious. The salad made me vomit. The waiter did not listen to my request for absolutely no onions. The last time we were there, the kitchen made me a Caesar salad with olive oil vinegar and lots of garlic. This Caesar salad had shallots and onion in the dressing and I vomited repeatedly after eating some. This is the worst service I've had in Boulder in years. You get better service in a fast food restaurant. He just didn't care. The ambience was very busy and noisy. Perhaps that added to it. The check came to funds in the three digits for a very simple meal that made me vomit. This place is arrogant and full of itself. You can save yourself a lot of money, and have a great meal elsewhere. 1 star.

Really great Neapolitan Pizza in Boulder! First of all the service was so accommodating. Everyone checked on us frequently and made sure we had a great time. We got the Insalata Primavera to start, which was a super refreshing salad with cauliflower and pea purée! Then we shared the funghi pizza and the margherita. Both had so much flavor and you could really tell the quality of the ingredients! The dough was also so fluffy it was perfect. We also got the limoncello spritz and it was soo light and nice for a hot day. I would 100% recommend this place!

Although your pizza tastes great, take a look. Only 3-4 pieces of basil?? Come on! U need to chop the basil so u get some in every bite. These pics show u either get no basil in a bite or a whole leaf. Why can't pizza places get this very simple solution? Lazy cooks I guess.

Server is was fantastic, great conversation and didn't steer us wrong. Definitely pricey BUT worth the $$ as excellent quality pizza and drinks. My son said maybe best pizza he's ever had!

AMAZING pizza with the best dough and fresh high end ingredients! If you appreciate high quality pizza & food- you'll love Alberico! The Cesar salad is delicious too! There is a fun dough bar where you can eat while watching the food being made, great outdoor seating options for solo or group dining. The staff was friendly & attentive as well. I wish they had one in Denver!!!

This is a fantastic spot. Live in Denver, have lots of great pizza options and was pleased to find this while in Boulder. One of the top places I've had up here. Service was wonderful, engaging and attentive. Appetizers (salad, meatballs and others were great, too). Price is good and all around a great night. I'll also add that a lot of times in Boulder the food seems consistently just ok, but this exceeded this easily. Will come back and do recommend. Great place!

We were super excited to visit Pizza Alberico. We were fans of Pizzeria Locale so we were excited to visit the rebranded restaurant. The inside is almost identical with some updates to match the branding. For drinks we got the Espresso Martini and the Alberico Dirty Martini. Both were good but nothing bc special. We started with the Prosciutto di Parma which was very good. We loved this at the old restaurant so we're happy that it stayed on the menu. For our pizzas, we got the Maiale nel Campo and the Funghi. The funghi was super tasty. Amazing cheese choice and the shallots added a nice touch. 10/10 recommend this pizza. The maiale nel campo was a bit too dry and salty. Wish there were tomatoes or something to balance out the flavors and moisture level. For dessert, we got the cannoli and the chocolate amaretto cake (off menu). The cannoli was citrusy and nutty. It didn't keep all the flavors of a traditional cannoli which was a bit disappointing. The cake was very light. Not your typical chocolate cake. It was good but also still prefer a traditional recipe. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Even on the first weekend, we were seated without reservations (5pm on a Saturday). We sat at the pizza bar which was a very fun experience to watch the fun kitchen staff (it did get warm though due to proximity to the oven).

I paid $27 for a gluten free pizza and there was barely any toppings and burnt basil. Don't waste your money here

This restaurant was so incredible! Genuinely one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The indoor ambiance is very classy yet trendy and such a great spot for dinner with friends. Service was also extremely great! Highly recommend making reservations because wait times could be north of an hour on a popular evening. You have to put $10 down per person for a reservation but it gets immediately refunded when you arrive!

Wine was great but the pizza crust was so burnt that it was barely edible. This was my second visit for confirmation and both times the pizza had an overwhelming burnt taste.

Finally got to try this spot next to Frasca! The inside is interesting and minimalist. It has vibes you'd find in a pizza spot in Italy. The staff all had smiles on their faces and were happy help whenever we needed anything. The food was good. We ordered a few pizzas and some apps. The star of the show was the Verdure Misti Friti. The Arancini were interesting. Anything saffron, sign me up! We ordered the NDUJA E CIPOLLE DOLCE which was the best pizza in my opinion. We also ordered the SALSICCIA and did mushrooms instead of meat. All the pizzas had incredibly chewy fire roasted dough. All in all it was a good experience.

Went there for Valentines Day, made a reservation but had to pay $22 some dollars to reserve over the phone which was refunded when we showed up. At 4pm they only had the bar available although the room adjacent was empty and was when we left. I am sorry to say the pizza was not good. The crust was not crisp and we had to pay extra for mozzarella on a Margarita pizza?? My partners salads was so, so. Service was good. After taking the leftover pizza home, the next day the crust tasted a bit like perfume.

First time here since the name change and makeover. We had a fantastic meal - tried all the excellent happy hour items (best Arancini I've had anywhere, ever) and split an incredible Pizza Diavola. Cocktails were perfect, and what made the experience OVER THE TOP was our server - Salma. In this day and age it's exceedingly rare to get the level of skill, humor, and overall good cheer that Salma provided. The rest of the staff was rocking too - must be the Frasca influence! Can't wait to come back!

Best Pizza in Boulder Period ! Gorgeous setting and do not forget to taste that hazelnut gelato.

Having never eaten here, I must admit I had pretty high expectations given the reputation of the sister restaurant next-door. The meal started out with a lot of flavor with the in-house marinated artichoke appetizer with olives, pickled red onions, mint and smoked ricotta. I'd give this five out of five and happily order it again. Next, we got the Antica Pizza with garlic, capers, oregano, garlic oil, and cherry tomatoes. I should've read the description more carefully because I didn't realize it didn't have any cheese on it until it arrived but that's fine - my bad. The complaint, however, is that it was simply bland. I ordered it because I thought with garlic and garlic oil that flavor would come out and along with the. Oregano and capers, I was expecting a lot of powerful flavors. That didn't happen. There were only a few capers on the pizza and for some reason, it was just bland. The final insult to injury was the Chianti wine. Again I should've read the menu more carefully to know that the $9.50 I thought I was paying was just for a taste, and I ordered a glass which was 19 bucks. 19 bucks for a glass of very average Chianti Classico just kind of surprised me when I got the bill. Oh well....

Great food and service quality always. Never disappoints! Been coming for years. Their commitment to quality service and ingredients is always apparent.

The original Pizzeria Locale location was our favorite pizza spot in town. However, our first lunch at Pizzeria Alberico was a disappointment. In a restaurant less than half full, we waited more than 30 minutes for our pizza to arrive at our table. When it did, all three had toppings covering barely half of the crust. And two of the three pizzas - the Funghi and the Zucca Primavera -- tasted bland and uninspiring. That said, service was good, and the slightly updated decor was pleasant. However, the lackluster pizza and high prices do not justify a return.

I miss the clam pizza on Fridays. No more. Service is not as friendly and there is hardly any cheese on the pizza - 4 little dollops on the whole pizza. Very disappointed by the "new" place.

We enjoyed dinner outdoors in front if the restaurant on Pearl Street where we received great service and amazing food. We started with the house bread which is made from the pizza dough and baked in a wood fired oven. For appetizer, we had the Arancino, which are risotto balls with mozzarella inside. I recommend one per person - small but delicious! Both the Caesar and Insalata Primavera salads are unique and flavorful, but the Primavera is also beautiful. For the pizza, we tried the Funghi, which features a variety of fresh mushrooms, radicchio, shallots, cheese and white sauce. The bottom crust is thin and edges are thick, filled with air pockets and charred by the brick oven. For dessert we shared the decadent Saltimbocca con Nutella, pizza crust stuffed with Nutella and warmed in the oven. Everything was delicious and we would definitely return when we visit Boulder.

Our go to Sunday night spot. Great pizza and appetizers. The staff is always friendly and the new updates are an added bonus.

Loved our visit. We had the Burrata appetizer and 'Nduja dolce pizza without the 'Nudja (we don't eat meat) but the server recommended substituting it with Calabrian chilis to achieve the spicy flavor and we thought both dishes were amazing. The wine and drinks were also very good. We wish it hadn't been our last night in town, because we would've liked to have gone again. Our server was great!! It is a busy little place, but that didn't bother us.

Try the arancini, deep fried saffron rice balls. They are little cheesy delights. Cool unique cocktails and pizzas. I came here on a recommendation from a local and was not disappointed.

I am a huge fan of Margherita Pizza and was told Pizza Alberico had the very best. So yesterday I ordered one for carryout (12:30 pm) and was so disappointed. It seemed to be undercooked as the center of each slice was soggy and fell off the pizza as I tried to eat it. The outer crust was doughy on the inside. Some slices had big glops of grana padano cheese on them to the point I could taste nothing else on that slice (very salty). Other slices had minimal tomato flavor and no grana padano. The mozzarella was rubbery and had no flavor at all. Barely edible.

Was super excited to try the newly renovated restaurant out. We came around 6:30, we're quoted at 30 min - an hour, and return to the hostess after an hour has passed. The hostess then made every excuse possible as to why she had lost our check-in, blaming it on "receiving end issues." Lacking basic restaurant-industry hospitality. That said, food was amazing.

I love this place, and make sure to stop in every time I visit CO. The food is great, the staff is friendly & fun. It is apparent they want you to enjoy yourself.
