My son recommended Francesca’s as he’s been going for years with the Boys’ Brigade and absolutely raves about it — and now I can see why! What a truly wonderful Italian restaurant. The building is so authentic and full of character, and from the moment you walk in you’re hit with amazing vibes. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm, lively, and buzzing. There’s also an excellent range of choice on the menu. The food was outstanding — bursting with flavour and cooked to absolute perfection. One of the best Italian meals I’ve had. I can’t recommend Francesca’s highly enough and will definitely be returning 😋🇮🇹✨

We visit for a meal every time we are in Newcastle, and this time didn't disappoint either. Great food and service. It wasn't so busy on a Monday evening, so our large party had ample time to eat and catch up.

Absolutely adore this place! Staff are wonderful, atmosphere is lovely in the restaurant and the food is to die for! The half pizza/half pasta option is an absolute winner! I will always recommend Francescas to people ❤️

Had half pepperoni and half arrabiata. Tasted so good, carb overload but very satisfying. Chocolate cake was unreal! 100% coming back!

What an amazing restaurant in Newcastle. When you enter the restaurant it feels like entering Italy with the nice interior and music. Besides, the food was amazing. I mostly recommend the pasta arrabiata: it was so tasteful and so unique! Our whole dining experience was just perfect from the vibes, to the nice staff, to the food.

Another excellent meal at Francesca's. One of our first meals out since the lockdown. They have barriers up between tables, visors worn by the staff and the prawns as good as ever. See you again soon!

Great food large portions for a great price. The line can be long, hard to find a parking space and it can get a little hectic but it is worth it. Try the lasagna or half pasta/half pizza.

This is a Pizzaria at its authentic best. Everything thats served here is from Italy, and everything is deliciously made. I hated pastas before I visited this place. Great service, great food. A nice place to chill out with friends without digging too much into your pockets.

Expect a queue from 5.30/6pm onward to eat at this non-booking Italian. Despite the name, it's a full menu of pizza, pasta and entrees. You can expect a warmer welcome from the younger staff, yet service is efficient all-round. It's Italian run and has a classic feel, even if the decor is slightly souped up much the way anything Irish is ultra green once you leave the country. But it's comfortable, bustling and family-friendly, and very good value for money. Food was tasty even if the pasta was less than al dente, but the portions were enormous, and we weren't waiting. Get there early though or you can expect to wait for a table - which let's face it is its own best endorsement for any restaurant.
