Google
Amazing pizza- the best so far in Palermo that we’ve had- loved the variety of different styles of pizza to have! Our server, Pietro, was fantastic and happy to help. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area!!

I visited this place because it came up in my recommendations. I ordered a Capricciosa pizza (€10) and a Coca-Cola Zero (€4). The pizza price was quite reasonable, but I found it strange that a Coke costs nearly half the price of the pizza. My total bill came out to €16.50, which included the infamous "table service"- something quite typical for Italian restaurants, but in this case, the charge felt a bit steep. That said, I have to commend the staff. They were very polite and professional, which I really appreciated. I enjoy that kind of professional approach and it made a positive impression. As for the quality of the pizza - I have to say I was disappointed. Not because it was bad, but because I had higher expectations based on the reviews I had read. Honestly, the pizza was average. Not bad at all, just nothing special. It tasted like something you’d get in any other Italian restaurant. This is only my opinion of the Capricciosa pizza -I didn't try other options, which might be better. The atmosphere is very pleasant, both inside and outside. The restaurant is tucked away, yet still close to the city center, making it a great spot to take a break from the crowds.

Our first spot to try in Palermo. Loads of different pizza types with thin crust, thick crust and filled crust. There is lmost too much variety and it is hard to choose from. However the prices are quite cheap for hiw big the portions are. I tried the Frida pizza with ricotta filled crust and pistachio, pesto and cherry tomatoes center. However there weren't many tomatoes on the pizza and as ricotta is a very mild and low salt cheese, even with the pesto, it was hard to get the different notes in taste. On the other hand, Fujiyama pizza with speck was very delicious. I recommend a visit so you can see try different types of authentic italian pizzas.

I had a bad experience this evening at this restaurant. Firstly they don’t have enough staff to manage the tables and the waiters don’t care of what customers are feeling. Only the guy who gives the table is accommodating and friendly. They messed up our order and when they informed them they just added a topping and gave a cold pizza. They also had a problem in the bathroom to close the door, and they made me wait forever to fix it. They didn’t show concern about cooking the pizza properly or even fixing the restroom door even when I’m pregnant. Very bad service.

You can tell if a pizzeria is any good by its Margherita. A proper pizzeria nails the basics — this one clearly doesn't. It's below even the average standard in Italy, and honestly tastes like a frozen pizza. The other pizzas are passable only because the toppings mask the flaws.

Google
Just a few corners from Via Maqueda, you get to this place of goodness. Their selection of pizzas seems unique - several sections ranging from regular hits, through pizza napoletana up to their own creations square-shaped with crust rim filled with ricotta & pesto. I will gladly return given the opportunity!

Google
Amazing experience. Best pizza in whole Sicily. I suggest crema de funghi and also the one with nduja (quadri) where the crust is also filled with cheese and ham. We came here 3 times in 5 days stay in Palermo. Definetely a must visit. Note: The pizzas are quite big, if you are not fully hungry then you wont be able to finish 1 pizza on your own.

Google
Good dough, would not recommend the square pizza as it was stuffed with too much ricotta. Overall okay experience

Yelp
Delicious pizza capricciosa, instalata siciliana + cipolla calice vino rosso. Good service, nice ambiance, and reasonable prices.

Yelp
In my opinion, this place is over-hyped. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. My husband and I shared the Sicilia bedda rettangolari gourmet and the crema funghu porcini e marscapone quadri. I was really excited, especially for the stuffed crust! While the concept was good, the execution left much to be desired. Both pizzas seemed to lack complexity in flavor. In particular, there was a lot of crust on the quadri, and I think there was generally not enough tomato sauce. For the Sicilia bedda, there was so much tuna and anchovies on top that it overpowered the other flavors, and having more acid such as lemon or vinaigrette would have balanced it out. Otherwise, it was just creamy and salty. The servers were friendly, and the pizza was fine but definitely nowhere near the best we've had in our time in Europe and (in my opinion) definitely not worth the price. Overall, I would probably rate it at 2.5 but bumped it up to 3 because the pizza was fine but just pretty average compared to the others we've had. I would likely try a different pizza place if I return to Palermo in the future.

Yelp
Great service and extremely well orchestrated. They gracefully know how to turn tables without the feeling that you are being pushed out. My pinsa with mortadella and pistachio cream was delicious - perfect bit of saltiness with the coolness of the mortadella with delicious cream on a thin crusty base. Would have come back again if we had another day in Palermo.

Yelp
Not worth the hype--pizza was pretty mediocore. Salad was fresh but nothing special. Our server was definitely not having a good night.

Yelp
Oh gosh this may have to be my favorite pizza in all of Sicily - the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is busy full of locals - I had the Roman style pizza and it was absolutely delicious - highly recommend it

Yelp
Excuse me, but my Italian isn't that great.... did you just say STUFFED crust pizza and you're NOT a Dominos?? Yes PLEASE, Count me in!! Be sure to ask the staff the difference between the 3 pizzas (one is thin crust, one is a stuffed crust with all the stuff on the middle of the pie, and the last is stuffed with different items than the toppings) If you can eat a whole pizza by yourself, you're one hella a champ. Frida's does have takeout boxes, so don't feel compelled to finish everything you order... Pro Tip: Frida's takes reservations, so be sure to call ahead of time.

Yelp
The pizza was very delicious. Never tried pizza and wine before, but I can tell you, it was fabulous. It is Sicily after all!

Yelp
Hands down the greatest pizza that has ever passed my lips.... and I live in the pizza capital of the world (I think it is?). Get the Gio 2 and the Etna.

Yelp
Reserve a table! Because this favourite pizza restaurant gets full easily and quickly. We turned up at around around 7.50pm (without reservation) and were just lucky that we got a table. A couple of minutes later a long queue started to build up in front of this place and people waited up to an hour. The menu is simple: you order pizza here which comes in big portions and tastes very good indeed. So yes, it is worth waiting. The prices vary from 5 to 12 Euros and the bottle of wine (red) 18 Euros. Apart from the very good food and pleasant ambience I must say that the service did disappoint just a bit. Some of the waiting staff was super friendly and and the other half seemed unhappy and towards the end very slow. Other than that: absolutely worth a visit.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. We ordered a crust stuffed pizza with ricotta and speck. We loved every bite. The place was packed ! We came at 830p and were seated at 930p, so if possible try to make reservations ! Must try!

Yelp
THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EVER EAT!! We were 4 people and each ordered a pizza and an extra to share. We finished everytjing. It's always packed and you'll enjoy anything you order. It's worth the trip to Sicily just for their pizza!

Yelp
As someone native to New York City area and having grown up around amazing pizza I sincerely have to say this pizza was fantastic, Stuffed crust and all. The atmosphere was welcoming to all even a stray cat that the staff had trouble getting rid of! I would absolutely recommend making a reservation as we did through our hotel concierge. After about 2000 the crowd grew quickly and some waited for the entire duration of our meal.

Yelp
Truly astounding pizza. Seek this place out. The owner initially seems gruf but he is completely the opposite - warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. This translates to his staff who follow suit. They open at 7:30PM and fill up very fast. If you are American don't be surprised by the number of Americans here. Everyone is competing for a place to sit. At 20:00 it is full and there is a line to get a table. Why? The pizza is amazing, I had the Quattro Fomaggi which was out of this world good. A Sicilian couple sitting next to me insisted I try their Margarhetta pizza and the tomato sauce was extremely fresh and tasty. I think I will come to Palermo again with my family just for this place.

Yelp
Pizzas are very filling for a very reasonable price. Overall, I'm sure there are many good pizzas on the menu. However, my low rating is due to my specific pizza, the Fuoco e Fiamme. For a pizza called "the fire and flame," there was a distinct lack of fire. And flame. There were sweet peppers on the pizza and the meats used were not particularly spicy. For those looking for a spicy pizza, consider going a different route.

Yelp
Don't bother. It has become too popular for its own good. The wait for a table is more than one hour (even though the hostess will tell you 30-45 minutes). The staff is too rushed to express any kindness, welcome, or concern. The kitchen is just churning out pies without any unique touches. It is far from special and no longer deserves the status it has been given online. Pizza Trifo was supposed to be simple tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella and fresh mushrooms. Instead, it was simply terrible. Cherry tomatoes instead of sauce and so much grated mozzarella added that you could not appreciate the tenderness of the (limited) fresh cheese. I am sorry to give it only two stars, but it really deserves no more. A victim of its own popularity.

Yelp
We came in around 7 or 8pm and it was busy, but we got a seat immediately. There was fast service and our server, Gio, was extremely helpful and welcoming, giving us great recommendations (he also spoke perfect English). We had the four cheese pizza (pretty good, but nothing too out of this world), the prosciutto/arugula/parmesan pizza (very delicious, the best seller too), and a custom mushroom, zucchini, and eggplant pizza (hearty, but lacking a little flavor). All in all it was a great meal and in a good location!

Yelp
I could write pages about this restaurant. What appears to be the owner of the place is very friendly with customers. He truly cares about the well-being and satisfaction of his clientele. Its menu is diverse and offers great quality pizza at a bargain price (mostly 6 to 12 euros). The wine is also good at a reasonable price (12 to 20 euros). We had two pizzas and a bottle of wine for a dinner for two and it only costed us 39 euros, that includes the cover of 1.50 euros. You must reserve beforehand as it is a very popular place. Opening hours are 1930 to 2400. Enjoy !

Yelp
Won't write too much as it's written a lot on trip advisor. One thing, if you like pizzas, you must come here and molest your taste. Pizzas are big and you'll eat them like most delicious desert. Make a reservation by phone, or you'll get this on a busy weekend (see photo).

Yelp
The pizza was excellent and there are many choices. The service was somewhat apathetic, but I still recommend this restaurant for food and atmosphere.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. I am not a big Pizza guy but I loved this place. I am originally from Palermo but reside in LA. It was a long time that I did not have a pizza this good..

Yelp
Amazing Pizza! I would recommend the quadri that comes with the stuffed crust. Definitely will be going back!

Yelp
Overrated. - Überbewertet! Attracted by all those positive ratings, we decided to enjoy the pizza at Frida. Because we arrived pretty early (7pm), the kitchen was not yet open but we were offered a table outside on the terrace - however without being offered any drinks. After 30 minutes (as announced) the place became more crowded (mainly with tourists). The menu offers a broad variety of different pizzas. The service personnel was doing their job quite 'mechanical', uninspired and not really friendly and far from being warm-hearted. The pizza was very average and nothing to be enthusiastic about (lack of salt, tomatoe sauce unusually sweet) but crispy. The Sicilian salad (as usual without dressing) was not very aromatic either, but very standard. Overall: disappointing. Insgesamt sehr durchschnittlich, was das Essen betrifft, trotz großer Auswahl. Service uninspiriert und eher mechanisch, nicht bei der Sache. Leider enttäuschend.

Yelp
We are at this restaurant on our first night in Palermo and it checked our boxes. Nothing overly special but decent food with a decent price in a neat location. It is tucked in a quite piazza in a very old and fascinating part of town, sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of it all. The pizza was great as were the large glasses of wine. We ordered a salad that we were pretty disappointed in (like a bag of salad on a plate with no dressing). The service was decent. All in all a fine experience. Word to the wise, this place got full fast so come when they open if you don't want to wait. They also do take-away.

Yelp
Snagged a table outside by arriving at opening time. Outside seating is adjacent to a parking lot but they surround the seating area with greenery to make it look nice. Only issue is the smokers dining outside, so if that bothers you, it would be a good idea to make reservations for an indoor table. The place got busy in no time for dinner. I see why reservations are recommended. Service was attentive. Started out with the potato chips (French fries) which were tasty. Had a vulcanotti etna pizza and rustic calzone. The calzone did not have ricotta cheese as we are accustomed to, but it was very tasty and clean. The pizza was - similarly - simply good. I can't say it was the best pizza we had in Sicily but the place makes good, clean food.

Yelp
Although Sicily was our last stop in our Italian summer vacay, we were not tired of eating pizza! My boyfriend came across Frida online and we took the 14 min walk from our hotel there. We got there late, at abut 11:15pm on a friday night. They close at midnight. There were still people there at this time, maybe only 3 tables available outside. I think due to the late time we did not have to wait long like many other reviewers mentioned. We got our pizzas in about 10 mins! I got la Romana (ham &* mozzarella) and my boyfriend got "Firey" (spicy salami and mozzarella) -- he said this may be the best pizza he has ever had! Mozzarella was perfection and they both tasted like heaven with perfect crusts. We paid 11€ for both pizzas which to me was a steal taken the quality of both. Their most famous of their pizzas are the ones with stuffed crusts but we decided to pass on those. I highly recommend, the menu is huge and has alot of variety for every taste!

Yelp
Best pizza in Palermo! For me, they were even better than pizzas I have eaten in Naples.
