Pizzeria La Baula

We stopped in for dinner and ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and Sangria. The pizza was cooked to perfection and the sauce and thin crust was delicious. The staff was nice and friendly and very attentive. They have a beautifully decorated outdoor garden setting. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience.

I’ve been going to La Baula since 2016 and have always enjoyed their pizza, but my visit today was a real letdown. We ordered The Special, and it was shockingly bland—nothing like what I’ve come to expect from this place. The cheese and sauce tasted cheap, almost like something out of a can, lacking the fresh, flavorful quality that used to set La Baula apart. I don’t know if they’ve changed ingredients or are cutting corners, but I hope this was just a fluke.

We wound up here on Easter since most other restaurants were closed. This is a pizza only place with plenty of tables. The pizza itself was decent and d the service was quick.

By FAR the BEST pizza, service and ambiance in Tamarindo!!!! VERY clean! My husband and I go once a week. The crust is like a cracker crust! We crave it often! The staff and owner are super friendly and the food has flavor! The food at most places here in town is bland I’ve noticed. Not here! Plus the owner is from Italy… you’re getting the real deal! Enjoy!!!! Tell them Jenni and Danny sent you ♥️ oh ya! Parking is easy and there is an adorable kids playground there as well!!!

Amazing pizza and best service you could ask for all in a beautiful restaurant setting. The restaurant offers authentic Italian pizza with great drinks and desserts. Servers were able to communicate well in English and Spanish and the manager speaks Italian as well. Go for the pizza but do not skip the dessert or limoncello. As a bonus, there is also an outdoor eating area with a playground for younger guests.

It was a rainy late evening, and we were starving, so we called this pizza place. Even though they don’t offer delivery, we ordered for take away, and the order was ready in just 15 minutes - super fast! The prosciutto and Parmesan pizza was a 10/10! Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for great pizza!

Lovely decor, indoor and outdoor area. Beautiful play area outside. Great to keep little ones entertained. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pizzas were amazing. Lots of choices. Traditional Italian style stone baked. Very good size, lots of toppings too. Salad was a good size too. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for pizza. Live singer on Friday night too (may have other nights but this was when we attended)

First of all the restaurant itself looks straight out of a travel magazine. It’s beautiful. The play area for kids is a huge bonus for those with little ones. The pizza was delicious with the crust being a perfect balance of crispy and chewy. Blue cheese was a surprise of our cheese pizza and we ate every slice. Highly recommended
