Google
We had the Arancini, Hotline Pizza and the Caccio y pepe. The caccio was really good, so was the pizza. The sauce on the pizza was a highlight. The atmosphere and service were the biggest standouts. This place is fun. Our server Michele was absolutely phenomenal and so was the rest of the staff. It was a great experience.

Google
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here! The interior is designed so well. It was such a vibe eating here. Wonderful spot to have a fun dinner! Drinks: the Bellini Spritz was a bit dilute, the coco bello was really good though. Food: Out of the the whole Torre dei Prodotti, the burrata and pappa al pomodoro is insanely good. The meats were fine, but this kept us wanting more. The Hotline pizza was also yummy, nothing overly special, but still quite yummy. Overall, great food, great service and spectacular vibes. Highly recommend!

Google
I was worried this would be a touristy food place and wow I was so wrong!!! Amazing!! The waiters are Italian which is always a good sign. Beautifully appointed inside with alcohol bottles of all ages surrounding you on one side and an open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work on the other side. The food was incredible. You can't fault the properly wood fired pizza. The dough was a highlight, so light but also nice and crispy on the bottom. The pasta was WOW. We will be coming back again and again for that pasta. I would highly recommend it!! 10/10 would visit again

Google
A lively and always-busy spot in the Sentier district, known for its great pizzas and vibrant atmosphere. Reservations are essential — and be sure to show up on time to secure your table. The food is fresh and satisfying, and it’s worth ordering everything you want at once since the pace can get fast. A fun and flavorful stop in central Paris.

Google
Appetizers were good and the pizza was mostly fine. Service was a bit slow with a few mistakes. The atmosphere, however, is infernal — way too noisy, your head starts hurting after 15 minutes. Prices aren’t too high, but I definitely wouldn’t come back during rush hours. Tiramisu is an easy 10/10 only reason i gave this restaurant 3 stars

Google
cannot recommend Pizzeria Popolare enough! From start to finish, our experience was phenomenal. Let's start with the pizza: we ordered the Hotline Pizza. The crust was absolute perfection—crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, with a delicious, slightly charred flavor from the wood-fired oven. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the balance of flavors was just right. The pasta was equally impressive. We tried the Truffle Pasta. It was clearly homemade, cooked al dente, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the care that goes into each dish. Beyond the food, the service was warm and attentive. Our server, Emma was friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a date night. We will definitely be regulars from now on. Do yourself a favor and order the Pizza and Pasta —you won't regret it!

Gabriela M.

Google
This restaurant is very nicely done, aesthetically pleasing for sure! Drinks and food are delicious! However customer service from our server Matteo could have been a little better. It felt like we were being judged while him and another service kept looking over and laughing while speaking their language. Other than that I think it’s definitely worth visiting and getting a little taste of Italy in Paris.

Yelp
Oh man, rookie mistake we didn't make a reservation. That meant over an hour of waiting, thinking on the edge of giving up and walking away. But thank God we stuck it out. Let start by saying I'd just come from Milan, where the food had been spectacular, so the bar was sky-high. And yet, this place din't dissapoint. We kicked things off with the croquette pulled pork, and from the first bite, we knew we were in for something special. Then came la pièce de résistance: LA FAMEUSE PÂTE À LA TRUFFE. Perfectly al dente, creamy as a dream, and absolutely swimming in the intoxicating aroma of truffle a flavor bomb in every sense. The pistachio disco pizza, a masterpiece. Fresh, creamy stracciatella and pistachio mortadella with those beautifully charred edges that had me savoring every bite. And the tiramisu Let's just say I'm still thinking about it. Would I recommend this place? Hell yes, I would. Worth every second of the wait.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by a friend, so we thought we'd check it out while in Paris. We made an 20:45 reservation. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time, checked in and had to wait about 10 before we were seated. This gave us the opportunity to browse the menu. The restaurant is huge. They have upstairs and downstairs seating. We were sat upstairs with the a view of the kitchen and the full restaurant. They had plenty of tables for large groups. Those people without reservations were sat at the bar style tables (seating for 8) with others who didn't have a reservation. You can scan the QR code for your menu and to pay. The English menu didn't work but our phones were able to use our browsers translate feature. I ordered the "Truffle Pasta". The Pasta was made in house al dente and in one piece (bring your cutting skills). The sauce was creamy but not too rich. It was a good dish overall and I understand why it is their most popular dish. Honey had a pizza with no cheese (lactose). The server helped her pick the right pizza for dietary needs. The pizza was a good size for one or two people. The sauce was freshly made and the pizza was cooked to perfection. Overall a pleasant dining experience. I would recommend coming for a early dinner or lunch to avoid the wait.

Yelp
One of my fav meals in Paris. It's a communal table set up with a fun lively ambiance. I love the colorful backdrop of bottles at the bar. Food wise their truffle dishes were delicious. We enjoyed the truffle pasta and truffle pizza. Note you should definitely share. One person eating this will be a in a food coma. It's crazy rich. We also got the carpaccio. Look at the picture. It says everything. We all shared the tiramisu which our server recommended. Definitely worth making a reservation and the walk isn't bad either.

Yelp
Ordered the Bellini Spritz and Moment of Truff pizza. Highly recommend the pizza and cocktails. Love the ambience of this place and all around great vibe.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on my last night in Paris based on the recommendation of a friend. I made a reservation ahead of time since my friend mentioned that it's a popular spot. I showed up a bit early for my reservation but figured I'd see if I could get in. I was helped by the one of the female employees and when it seemed like I was ready to be taken in, one of the other staff members stopped the woman helping me. I can/could only catch some French but it seemed there was an issue as I was going to be given a table when I was alone. The woman helping me let me take a seat and said she'd be back to help me. After a couple of minutes I was brought downstairs and sat at the bar. The man sitting to the left of me was blowing his nose whilst typing away on his computer and the man to the right of me had his large, brown paper shopping bag on the bar. A waiter came to help me so I ordered the Sex on the Beach cocktail. By this point, I won't lie I was a bit irritated with the seating arrangement I had found myself in. Due to time constraints this was the only sit down dinner I managed to fit into my trip and wasn't exactly what I envisioned. Nonetheless, the cocktail was sweet with that hint of bitter from the alcohol. For dinner I ordered La Fameuse Pate a La Truffe which was very delicious. For dessert I ordered the tiramisu which was very rich and creamy! The restaurant itself has this great vibe, the staff was very energetic and friendly, and the food was really good. Therefore, I'm a bit bummed as to my experience with the seating. I think having had someone else with me there would've transformed the experience simply because I would've been sat at a table.

Yelp
If you can't get a reso to pink mamma, come here. I've been to a few of their restaurants and they all taste pretty much the same so if you can't get a reso at one, try another. Popolare just happened to be around the corner from where I was staying so it worked out great. Definitely make a reservation. I saw several people who tried to walk up, turned away. Drinks here are always really great. Vibes are awesome and everyone seems to be and speak Italian lol. I asked the waiter if my assumption was correct and he said yes and that it was intentional to make the place feel even more authentic. My fav drink is always the big mamma.

Yelp
A must try in Paris!! Make sure to book reservations at least a week in advance! Definitely recommend the truffle pasta, it melts in your mouth but at the same time so flavorful
google avatar

Emma L.

Yelp
We really lived this restaurant for an Italian option while in Paris. Quite a busy place however we were able to get seated very quickly without a reservation. The service was quick and the bar list was great! We enjoyed the truffle pasta and mammargarita pizza- BOTH AMAZING. The staff spoke French and English. We were able to pay on our phones with the QR code, as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to eat. All the food was delicious. Enjoyed every bite. The server was nice and friendly. Loved the lighted bottles on the walls and the Italian fish water pitcher. I will definitely visit here on my next trip to Paris.

Yelp
Yes, the pizza is incredible and worth the wait. Back in 2017 there were still long lines for Pizzeria Popolare! Now, you're able to make reservations online. Do note that even if you have a reservation at a particular time, you may need to wait about 10 minutes before it's ready for you (which is better than a 90 minute wait without reservations). A good time to come without reservations is during lunch or earlier in the evening. The fresh ingredients, great prices, and incredible food is what keeps people coming back. I was happy to see the pizza was just as good as I remembered it being. We shared a margarita duras pizza. GOSH the sauce is to die for. My bellini spritz was amazing as well. It was the perfect amount of sweet. I also loved the presentation. The atmosphere here is so cozy and trendy. Do note that seating is family style, so you'll most likely be sandwiched between strangers. Don't be discouraged by this, because there is enough space to do your thing (and THE PIZZA IS INCREDIBLE). Pizzeria Popolare is one of the best places to get pizza in Paris.

Scott S.

Yelp
Place was great for pizza in a fairy book street. Two stories with room, but reservations are a good idea. Service was really good. Prices were good for such an area. Good selection of drinks that were good. Pizza was great and would go back just for that.

Steven B.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food was well made. A few more non-pizza items would be helpful; although the pasta was in-house made as were the sauces. It's a lively place. The communal tables were a nice touch and created a positive ambiance. We actually sat at our own table but the vibe was found throughout the restaurant.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
the alochol bottles on the wall are a nice touch. Get a reservation. 2 day in advance. Pizza was great. Churros were gross. Service was meh. Burrata was the best
google avatar

Emery W.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant! Don't be fooled by the word "pizzeria" -- Popolare is anything but your local mom and pop pizza shop. Music, decor (mirrors, endless shelves of liquor, tasteful lighting), and young, enthusiastic waiters create an upscale, trendy vibe. Drinks and food arrived quickly after we ordered, and everything was high-quality. The panzanella was nothing crazy but a nice way to open up the palette before diving into some more intense dishes, like the truffle pasta and Hottest Pizza Alive. I highly recommend the pizza-- it's really not as spicy as I expected it to be! A savory dish with some spicy meats on top, really. Our waiter also recommended a bottle of wine for us, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved this restaurant, and it's more hip than the sister restaurant, Ober Mamma (which also slaps).

Joshua D.

Yelp
The truffle pasta was my favorite meal in Paris. Friendly staff. Very very busy. You'll need a reservation and get there early because there will be a line even for those with reservations.

Yelp
We went here 2 nights! The food was delicious, but the service we experienced both nights was sub-par. We are not native to France, but we tried to speak the language as best we could. We began our meal with a Bonjour as well as a Parlez vous Anglais si'l vous plait? Just to try and start on the right foot. Our server on night one seemed to roll his eyes, and not seem very approachable at all. Our second server seemed friendly enough, but was away for more than half our meal and was not even visible on the floor to reach. The dishes that we had here were: LASAGNA FRITTA- OMG TO DIE FOR, PLEASE EAT!! MOMENT OF TRUFFE- Really good, but the pizzza seemed semi burned on the bottom. Good portion to split, if you have 2 people that aren't extremely hungry. GREEN MONTANA- Everything I wanted on a pizza and more! PACCHERI ROSSI- My partners thoughts were... it was OK Overall we went back because we wanted to try more food, but I don't know if we would go back again because of the service and how it left us feeling.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Always wise to book reservations. I sat at the bar but with a time limit. Didn't really use up all my time since service was quick. Ordered a burrata cheese infused with pesto. I'm not normally a pesto fan, but it was great. Since this place was well known for pizzas, I had to try the pizza amatriciana. Great flavor but there was not enough guanciale on it. The outer crust of the pizza is definitely Neapolitan, but the bottom crust was nearly non-existent. Can't wait to return for other dishes. Looks like the place prides itself with their mixology too. Most staff were actual Italians which help with the experience. Place seems to be always packed.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
We came here for the pizza bc we heard it was good; the line was long too so we assumed it would be decent. However, the bottom of our pizza was burnt so the entire pizza tasted bitter. We also chose this place for dinner after eating a late lunch and ordered one pizza to share, an appetizer, and drinks and got a lot of attitude from our server who said it's expected to order one dish per person. He said it wasn't right that we only ordered one pizza and to not do it next time. Def wasn't feeling the service and food so would recommending passing and getting French food instead.
google avatar

Benjamin K.

Yelp
Great Italian-inspired food. Book in advance! And try the truffled pasta :) We went there for lunch and over-ordered... those pizzas are huge!

Yelp
You know you're doing something right when there's a line outside your restaurant. The first time we dined at this spot, the hubby and I waited an hour in line which was so worth it. This time around, we were able to make reservations which was so much better. We ordered the: +Grosse Burrata for appetizers which was a huge blob of creamy burrata and olive oil. Hands down, the best burrata I've ever had. +Pates a La Truffe/Truffle Pasta: this was the creamiest and most delicious pasta I've ever had. They were not cheap with their truffle. It was also priced low. Hubby and I feel like this dish would be so expensive back home. I highly recommend it. The serving size was enough for two. +The first time around, we had the Margherita pizza which was good but it doesn't come sliced. Very Italian. You're stuck using a fork and knife which destroys the entire pizza. It's a little stressful but delicious nonetheless. I still recommend the pasta +Lastly, you must come here and try the Tiramisu. The presentation is amazing. They bring over a huge tray of tiramisu and place a portion onto your plate. It makes everyone around you "ooo" and "ahhh" around you. AND, it's airy and fluffy. You don't feel guilty after eating it! There hasn't been one item on the menu I didn't like. It'll become a tradition to make a pit stop here whenever we are in Paris. Cheers!
google avatar

Cynthia N.

Yelp
We made reservations for this place a month in advance; at the moment, they're actually not taking walk-ins. Today, there were some technical issues at the restaurant, so the people who made reservations were standing in line all the way down the block. They check your health pass, and the menu is done through a QR code. We ordered the French bruschetta, prosciutto, and I got the ricotta + morty as well as the lemon tiramisu for dessert. Though this is definitely some good quality food due to the ingredients and the overall dish, the pizza was a little too cheesy for me but I don't think that's the worst problem for a pizzeria to have!! Definitely should check out while you're in the area :)
google avatar

Yelp
Based on how people uttered this restaurant's name in the same breath as L'as du Falafel, I was expected, well, similar. Cheap, a line, takeaway, etc. Nonononono, this is not L'as du Falafel, this is legit Italian pizzaria! My mistake. There is a line, however, and it's slightly justified. Why is there a line? Because it's a normal restaurant, and you're essentially waiting for a table. Once you're finally in, go, sit down, and order a pizza on their nice and spacious menu. And perhaps a drink. The pizza shown below is large, it's large enough that I didn't finish it, and neither did my friend. And oh, it's quite tasty too! All of the pizzas I saw around looked fantastic, and the ambiance was lively and great, with a nice decor. It was dark as you could tell from the photos, but whatever, hey. Better yet, my experience was topped off by the people I sat next to. They were all nice, friendly, and told me a little more of their stories. They smiled as we tried to converse through a number of different languages and accents. People laughed.
google avatar

Mina G.

Yelp
A little disappointed after hype. Always has huge lines and tough to get a spot for dinner. The decor is really nice inside with the lit up different colored liquor bottles. Main thing here are the pizzas. Portions are fairly large as well. I tried the margherita and spicy pizza. First of all for calling a pizza spiciest pizza alive and to turn out to have no actual spice is very disappointing. Then the flavor of it tasted almost sweet. The margherita was fairly straightforward but nothing exceptional. The middle core of the pizza is very soggy and not hard so difficult to eat. Overall would not recommend
google avatar

Tye R.

Yelp
This is some of the best pasta I've ever had including in Italy. Reasonably priced and wait wasn't too long. Only complaint is they were out of banana sorbet.

M C.

Yelp
Great pizza and great cocktails. Super trendy busy place. Make sure to make a reservation online a few days in advance. Definitely on the repeat list, which I already did.
google avatar

Jaron K.

Yelp
This place has outstanding Neapolitan pizza. The crust is superb and the pizza options are creative. Like most things in Paris the seating is very tight and it definitely feels like they want to move you in and out quickly but that's not the worst thing in the world. The Arancini is a great appetizer.
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
Shared tables, very loud, our server seemed to hate life. English wasn't great which is fine - my Italian is decent, but even though she kept coming to my side, she would talk over me to my husband on the other side of the table who does not speak French or Italian. The truffle pasta was really good! The pizza was ok - the cheese was a little weird, but the dough was really good. The eggplant in carrozza was ok - could've used more sauce. The coolest thing about this place is the decor that you can see from inside and outside. The entire length of the restaurant is filled with bottles of alcohol that line the walls where people wait in line for what seems like it would be hours upon hours, but actually moves pretty quickly. We passed by heading to a lunch place and thought about stopping in, but my husband said that maybe we could go for dinner. When we came back around the time that they open again for dinner (6pm-ish) there was a line down the block. It was a nice little touch that they came around with little cups of watermelon water while you wanted online. They were also nice enough to let me charge my phone so I waited on the little bench on the inside. The food here is pretty good and very reasonably priced. Along with the fact that they ship items fresh from Italy to make their food is probably what makes this place so good. I would come back!
google avatar

Rosemary G.

Yelp
The food was unbelievable!!! And the location/vibe was great! Only critique is that our servers were pretty pushy that we "hadn't finished paying yet" and made us pay more than was necessary because the website they make you use was glitching. The math was evidently not adding up and they insisted we pay more than our hill required. Not a bad experience, just something to be weary of the methods of paying and ensure you aren't overpaying because of a glitchy app!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Canceled my reservations for no reason. With so many good options in Paris who needs this place anyways lol

Yelp
Line up outside was the drawing card for me. Hostess was lovely. Had a great seat at the bar. Bartenders ignored me, so I looked about for a server. My horribly poor French was able to point and pick at the menu to great success. Drinks and wine were excellent , as well as a perfectly executed lamb pasta. Super hip trendy Italian / pizza bar. Best display and assortment of liquor I've seen in a long time. Concluded with a surprisingly diverse Scotch selection. Great visit !

Joe O.

Yelp
Fantastic food quality - atmosphere is super fun - think beer hall vibes but Italian trattoria. Most seating is community (long tables - multi party). Get a reservation or you will not get in.

Yelp
We came here because of all the internet popularity....and we're slightly disappointed. We opted for lunch to avoid the dinner line. We came at the start of lunch at 11:45am and there was a small line to get seated. But once we got inside, we were amazed by how large the place was. It's 2 floors, and they use the space well so there are a lot of tables. The menu is in Italian. Luckily our friendly server explained what different items were. We ended up ordering a margarita fresh and a mushroom pizza. When the pizzas arrived, we were in awe at how large they were. And we started to dig in. Unlike traditional pizza places, the pizza is not cut into slices. Instead you are supplied with a fork and knife to eat your pizza. First impression, the tomato sauce, cheese and crust were delicious! However, that's when things started to go downhill. The pizzas cooled and weren't as tasty. The pizza crust in the middle became a soggy mess. We ended up using pizza crust that was still dry to scoop up cheese and sauce. After consuming the huge pizza, we were too full to try any desserts. But we saw other tables ordering the churros, tiramisu, and ice cream. Bathrooms are also interesting because you can see through the sink to the other genders bathroom. There's also a 2 euro photo booth if you want to add your face to their walls. Overall, service was excellent. But food was sub-par. If you eat here, consume your pizza quickly!

Yelp
I love big mamma restaurants and the food here is absolutely delicious - we had the eggplant appetizer followed by the truffle pizza and it was really really good - crowded as usual (I visited pre covid)

Yelp
very yummy pizza, authentic Italian! even our waiter Davide was imported from Italy along with the ingredients;) Malik was very nice and funny do check out the bathroom for a laugh!

Yelp
Compared to all of the restaurants in Paris and all of the rude French people. The staff at this restaurant was very nice and not elitist. That has been our experience in Paris and let me tell you that it is not fun. Most of the cafes in Paris that are popular are not worth the hype. But anyways this place was packed when we went. We ordered the truffle pizza and pasta and both were good. We also ordered a salad on the side and did not know how big it was going to be. The place lived up to its name a cool vibe and nice enough people which is something I can't say for all of Paris. Just stop being rude to costumers. It is so not ok. I will be reviewing the rude places so stay tuned.

Yelp
Really good pizza from - a rec from my friend who lives in Paris - and the long lines say it all! THE WAIT: We got here at 6:45pm on a Sunday (they open at 6pm), and there was a huge line around the corner. The "bouncer" was super nice, between his broken English and my broken French we managed to communicate. He predicted an hour wait, but it was more like 15-20 minutes! This line moves fast. THE SERVICE: Our server spoke some English and was super friendly, but sometimes a little hard to locate and could be a little too encouraging for us to order more (she got a little pushy when I wanted the Arancini but it was out; she very strongly suggesting several other dishes and seeming disappointed when I didn't order a replacement. It was honestly fine with me, I was worried it would have been too much food). There's an open kitchen and the chefs all seemed to be having a good time, singing, all clapping every once in a while. THE COST: 71€ total for dinner for two. THE FOOD: SPRITZ & CLASSICS * Canadagasm (10€) - 4 stars Good cocktail. Like a wonderful, light soda! * Maya daiquiri (9€) - 3 stars I loved this at first; it has a great thick texture from the egg white foam, but the more I drank this, the worse the bitterness of the liquorice came out. * Mela-dai (12€) - 3.5 stars I thought this tasted way too strong, but my bf really liked it! PASTA * Lolo Niaise (papardelles, 13€) - 3.5 stars Loved the meat sauce, crumbly texture with excellent flavor, but for me the papardelle was too al dente, and I didn't love the style where they rolled original pieces of pasta together (vs all of it being tossed randomly). PIZZE * Could use the slightest bit more crisp to have that bite - this got soggy pretty quickly because it was just so soft. DOLCI * Profiterole Napolitaine (8€) - 3.5 stars Great for just the volume of chocolate (the dark chocolate syrup was great) and the super smooth, creamy ice cream. The surrounding pastry was quite dry and hard to cut.

Yelp
Took a trip with friends for their first visit to Paris...as always the city never disappoints. This is my second time here at pizzería popolare and much like the city of lights it was amazing! We drank fantastic wine recommended by Martina a Tuscan native who ensured our glasses were always full and our belly's as well! The atmosphere is fun and full of life. Food? Ugh where do you start? Amazing fresh mozzarella, or the perfectly sliced prosciutto? The options are endless! Pizza? Well if you're a fan of wood oven perfectly melted cheese with a ton of flavor in the likes of mushrooms, mozzarella, pepperoni then guess what...you found your spot for dinner tonight!

Yelp
After reading alllllll the review and having eaten at the Big Mamma restaurant group before, I was really excited to stop here. There was a long line outside, but this place is organized.. moves super fast and you'll be seated and served before you know it. I think this spot would be great for meeting with friends or a casual date, but your seated picnic table style and there's people very close to you on either side. It's loud, and the music is good. As for the food, the pasta San marzino was really delicious. The pizza I was disappointed in. As a NYer and an Italian I will say I'm a tough critic but I just wasn't impressed by the sogginess of the thin crust dough in the center of the pie or the sauce to cheese ratio. I will say the portions are great, the prices are reasonable and the ingredients taste quality.

Yelp
Excellent service by Manuel, pizzas were wonderful! Pasta dish was ok. Very happening spot! Great atmosphere, line out the door to get in, but worth the wait if it's not over 20 min. Large restaurant inside, many pretty bottles. Excellent choice if you are hungry! Food comes out rather fast!

Yelp
I spent 2 weeks in Italy a few months back and this pizza absolutely impressed me. So authentic, excellent flavors, and baked so well. I highly recommend this place for a great pizza pie. They also have good craft cocktails and a number of different liquors. Rather than put your name down, you wait outside in a queue but it moves relatively quickly. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. The only downfall is the service was very slow. Would definitely come back, however, to give the place another shot- the food was that good!

Yelp
I was amazed on the food from this restaurant, I had some beef cuts over mashed potatoes, there are no words for the hurricane of sensations in my mouth, IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I also had pizza and again no words to try and explain how delicious this was, the crust is to die for. I been in several countries and eaten delicious pizza in all of them but none of it tasted like this. You have to go there to experience the hurricane of new flavors you will have, and they will all be amazing. The restaurant vibe was great and so was the staff, I give this restaurant a 100% of 100% I just don't know how I will live with this pizza in Paris and me living in Arizona

Yelp
Amazing amazing Neapolitan pizza and homemade pasta 5-8 min from the Louvre...um YES! We decided to walk from our hotel (rue louvre) to Moulin Rouge and along the way walked right past this place only noticing the bottles in the windows. We had no idea what it was, a restaurant? A bar? A club? All it said outside only "Populare". After our day of walking we walked past by and saw a long line, around 7pm. Upon arrival back in our hotel I of course had to see what it was and yelp'd it. Upon seeing the pictures I started drooling, seriously I probably was. Pizza and pasta, the keys to my heart! They are only open for lunch, close down and reopen for dinner. The reasons for this...1. They are so busy waitstaff needs a break 2. They make the dough fresh daily so his gives them time to prep for the evening wave of pizza orders. We waited in line around 1:45 and we knew they closed around 2:30 so we were nervous we wouldn't get in. Instead, it only took us about 10 min to be seated. We were sat at a large high top communist table with two other couples. The only downside to this was that there was no where to put my purse so I had to keep it in my lap..kinda annoying. They do have a English menus and the waitstaff are awesome! I knew what I was going to order before I saw the menu, truffle pizza and truffle pasta. Yup I love mushrooms, but fresh shaved truffles on everything HECK YEAH! I was shocked at the prices. DOP Margarita pizza for $5?!! They are crazy, well maybe not. This place was so packed I don't know how they kept up with everyone. The kitchen was open and they all worked like a well oiled machine. We had a couple apps and some wine and eventually dessert. The pizza was a good size and had that chewy crust that is the signature style. The flavors were on point and the pasta was truffle heaven. I came to find out from the waiter hat this place is owned by a restaurant group (Big Mama Group) and there is another Populare in the city. When I'm back here we will come here first, well maybe after my cafe au laits and croissant stop :) go enjoy and repeat!

Yelp
Fun pizza place to come with friends and family. They make their dough in house, which is great! The toppings are simple but flavorful. I thought the atmosphere is very vibrant and fun. The staff had great personalities and were very helpful to us to explain the menu. I would definitely go back and would recommend to our friends to check out!

Yelp
Just order the Truffle Pasta and save tine reading! Pizza Popolare is among the Big Mamma Group, Ober Mamma, East Mamma etc they all seem to be a hotspot with great food and same no res style. Seeing that Yelp listed they open at 7pm, arrived 6:25. At 6:30 the staff come outside and welcomed all in. Communal tables are, well not entirely fun when dining solo. I'm basically in the middle of strangers with a empty seat in front me. Hello, she doesn't have a partner! Thank goodness for the wine and lively music to keep me entertained. I received my order 10-15 minutes at most. I really liked the Truffle Pasta. The pizza was well.. Naples style so not my favorite but great taste and well executed. I'm a huge fan of crispy Rome style pizza. PÂTE À LA TRUFFE (Truffle Pasta) truffe Melanosporum, mascarpone, petits champignons REGINA BURRATA Tips 1. They don't take reservations, arrive about 20 minutes prior and stand in line. 2. Skip the line & sit at the bar. However, NO pizza for you, only appetizers and drinks. PÂTE À LA TRUFFE truffe Melanosporum, mascarpone, petits champignons REGINA BURRATA sauce de tomates San Marzano, mozza fior di latte, coeur de burrata, jambon cuit aux herbes, champignons de Paris, basilic, piment d'Espelette

Yelp
Not a fan of using my phone as a menu. Had trouble accessing parts of the menu. Have to pay using phone, also. So if you forgot your phone, try someplace else. Service was bad even by French standards. We waited at least 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Finally, a server comes to take the order of the couple next to us, even though they were seated well after us. Fortunately, they were nice enough to point out to the server that we were ahead of them.

Yelp
Be prepared for a wait! Just like the other restaurants within the Big Mamma Group, Pizzeria Popolare is very popular with folks lining up outside. On a Friday evening, we waited 40 minutes for a table for 2. Oddly we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to take our order, but they made up for it when our pizzas arrived 5 minutes later. We had the pizza queen pomodoro and pizza obergine, and man are their pizzas good!! For dessert, we had the bacimisu - strawberry and matcha tiramisu which is amazinggg. There is something magical in their dough, and their mascarpone. Will be back for more!

Yelp
We had a reservation we made weeks in advance, and I'm glad we did. There was a huge line at opening, but they got everyone in within an hour! We were quickly seated and it seemed like everyone there was multilingual. My wife had the truffle pasta dish and I had the slow-cooked beef pasta dish and they were both fantastic. As a former cook it was a very well-run operation and everything was great, they deserve all the business they get. Thanks guys!

Yelp
Pizzeria was very nice, pizza was good and they offer a kids menu. Make sure you get a reservation. Even if you get a reservation there will be a line outside but you will get in quickly and the space is large. Highly recommend.
