Strolling around the neighbourhood on our first (rainy) night in Napoli and were drawn to Pizzeria Vesi because of the attractive outdoor seating area. The flowers dripping from the makeshift ceiling and the twinkling lights set a pretty atmosphere. We easily got a table and were served quickly. Server was nice and joking around. The pizza menu is quite extensive, which to me is a little big of a red flag in general because I believe in simplicity, but there is definitely something for everyone. We ordered the classics: marinara pizza, margherita pizza, Caprese salad, and two Peroni. Everything tasted good and fresh.
Overall we had a good experience until the very end. Cover/service was included. When we went to pay, the server said "tip isn't included" and never came back with our change. It was pouring rain and we were tired from traveling 16+ hours from Canada so I didn't bother hunting him down for my change. I've been to Italy several times and know the standards of tipping/not tipping there, and I don't appreciate not being given my change, regardless of the amount. In this case it was €3.50, on top of the cover already included. It just felt a bit shady and rubbed me the wrong way because tipping is not standard/expected in Italy, especially if cover is included on the bill.
