P.J. Clarke's On The Hudson

PJ's was the perfect spot for our Valentine's Day date! We were worried about holiday crowds, but the staff was so organized. Our drinks came out fast and the food (fish fry and sliders) was delicious. If you're looking for a spot that is reliable, friendly, and fast even on a busy weekend, this is it. Great drinks, great food, and amazing service!

So PJ’s location is fantastic, it’s right by the marina in Battery Park City and you couldn’t ask for better views or people watching. It’s perfect for a group after work. The place is huge so it’s great for a big group. The food is marginal. There can be good ingredients but it’s prepared at an industrial scale and the price is for the location not the taste. I’ve lived here twenty years.. it’s always been like this. My favorite thing is the chicken salad, really… and my favorite food in general is shellfish but I usually skip it here. If you want to hang out by the water and have some snacks that are a secondary reason for being there it’s a good spot.

Customer service upon entry could be better… the restaurant not being busy when we visited we were sat in the far back corner. One of the silverware sets had a long hair in it. Our table was wobbly… staff were friendly after we sat down, however we had 4 different staff members help us. Food was overpriced for quality and flavor. This could be a great spot to visit on the regular but definitely needs some updates to the menu and atmosphere.

If you want a restaurant with amazing cuisine, beautiful views and stellar service, PJ Clarke's On The Hudson is it. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The food comes out reasonably fast. Another added bonus is that it is tucked inside of a beautiful upscale shopping mall. You can't go wrong.

This was easily one of our favorite stops in NYC. We were beyond impressed with literally everything - the burgers were easily one of the best we'd ever had, and our server Babacar was efficient, helpful, and polite. My drink was delicious with good balance and flavor profile, and the food came out unbelievably fast. So fast that the food runner approached our table and we thought he was mistaken. We will be back next time we visit the city!!

The restaurant is huge.... Noise quality outside was very nice. Views outside breath taking especially if you go before sunset. Our waited was great, although pushed a bit too hard to be liked. Food: Ordered two burgers, medium rare, came out medium-well. I was so looking forward to a nice thick juicy burger and was disappointed in size, taste and doneness. Drinks we well made. Enough alcohol to easy your Friday pains. Restroom: Department of health should shut them down. Gross to the max. Bathroom stalls were disgusting, not to mention the walls. We will not discuss the smell. Come on, a little lysol and a hot sponge to the wall will do the trick. Passing the kitchen on the way to the John, under the hot lamps we notices a try of oysters sitting under the lamps. WHAT? Really??? Who is not watching what is going on in there? After the bathroom visit, this was the icing to the cake! . Oh.. Speaking of cake... The chocolate brownie desert was to die for! Next time you go out to eat.. Go to the bathroom first, that will set the mood for the entire food experience. I. M. H. O.

While the location adds a certain charm, it’s hard to justify the cost given the overall culinary experience. If you're visiting for the view and a drink, it's enjoyable; just don't expect a meal that matches the price tag.

a beautiful restaurant with a stunning view but sadly the food does not live up to the atmosphere. extremely mediocre cuts of steak for steep prices. the fries came soggy and cold and the steak completely lacked flavour. it was also very hot in the restaurant and we asked our server about it but no changes were made.
