Went here with our 17-year-old boys after a baseball game. The service was okay and she was very abrupt but got us our food when needed. Did not really have many recommendations but she was nice enough. The place was a lot of fun. We were able to play darts for hours. The place was pretty empty during the tech game since they were not able to air it. But got quickly crowded and they allowed our sons to stay and play darts while many college students flooded the place. Seems like a lot of fun.

Was passing through town for a night on my drive back home from the holidays. Stopped in on a Monday night in between semesters but place still had a decent crowd and good vibe. Grecian salad was great and shoutout to T.C. behind the bar.

Awesome place!! We came here for a Friday night drinks and food. I have to say, their menu is diverse and has a great range of prices. Everything looked sooo good as it was being run by the servers. We got the Classic and Faculty Street burgers and they were extremely good burgers! The medium well was cooked perfectly, the medium one was a little over cooked BUT the taste definitely made up for it. The ambience is really nice with people from all ages. Our server was super kind and checked on us regularly, and the food was served quickly (within 15m). It is my first bar & grill to try in Blacksburg and it is highly recommended.

Fantastic burgers! Love the onion rings, and the Key West dip was spot on. Great place.

Buffalo hot wings undercooked- tough, hot buffalo sauce tasty a bit watered down, tough chicken, nice waiter was not attentive after he placed the meal, he left, another bartender ask if I wanted a drink but nothing about the meal. Waiter replaced the chicken, waited, it was the same/tough. Bathrooms super clean, big drying towels, excellent atmosphere & clientele vibe … need to try a different entree next time! Wings were disappointingly tough.

Very disappointed in PK’s… my boyfriend, myself, and his co workers were at a table and they decided to have my boyfriend kicked out (who btw was sitting next to me and did nothing wrong). I had to re-enter the bar and fight the staff (who told me I wouldn’t like the answer as to why my boyfriend was kicked out, as they stand up for each other even if they’re wrong) as well as the manager to tell me why he was kicked out. According to the bartender, “he was slouched over and too intoxicated”. Shocked that 1 beer could do that to my 230lb boyfriend. Completely embarrassed my boyfriend for absolutely no reason and got very snippy with me for wanting an explanation. I fully own up to when my boyfriend has had too much, but I can guarantee that this was not one of those times. I would love to speak with the owner to discuss this situation in hopes that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. But as a new resident of this town, I will definitely never be returning.

My family and I have been ordering PK's for years now and have always been satisfied! We particularly enjoy their pizza and Sicilian slices. PK's is located in downtown Blacksburg and has served the town for decades. The interior is welcoming and very laid back. The restaurant itself is quite large and offers an outdoor space around the back. It's a great place to hang out with friends, throw darts, or meet up with a large group of people. Considering it is downtown, parking could be trickier. We typically order takeout and tend to go with their pizzas. Although my sister does really enjoy their burgers as well. The pizzas are your standard bar-styled pizzas. But, they always hit the spot and have the perfect sauce-to-cheese-to-topping ratio. The pizza isn't New York style, but it is usually a thinner crust. The Sicilian slices are always great. The edges are crispy and the dough is pillowy. Overall, PK's is a great restaurant in Blacksburg that serves up some delicious bar food. Their pizzas have never disappointed us and we always enjoy them. The service is pretty quick and friendly as well. The atmosphere is great for large groups and hanging out. I would recommend checking it out if you are in the area!

Let me begin by prefacing that I have worked in the restaurant business for 4 years to date. I have been a host, line cook, expeditor, server, dishwasher and bar-hand; so it is fair to say I know the ends and outs of restaurants. The atmosphere of this restaurant makes it really nice to bring friends to, and I felt comfortable inside. Our experience began with a waitress (who was off the clock) taking our drink orders because our waiter was swamped. I was completely fine with waiting because I understand how it is to have 6-7 tables at one time. My problem began, however, when our waiter neglected our table. Our waiter took our order and abandoned us. We ran out of drinks several times and he never came by to top the drinks or even to inquire how we were doing. The same waitress (who was still off the clock) came by and asked to refill our drinks, which we appreciated very much. Our waiter finally came when our food was ready, but didn't ask us if we wanted anything else, like a refill or side sauces. The food came out fast and it was pretty good, but our server neglected to come back to our table entirely until he brought us our checks, without asking if we even wanted them yet. A table-mate wanted dessert, but he failed to stick around for a mere second after giving us our checks to ask if we were even done eating. He walked away and we were forced to wait another 5-10 minutes before he came back to take the checks from us before she could ask for dessert. When she asked for the dessert, he asked if she wanted ice-cream with it, and she said yes. He went to ring it up, but didn't take the checks that were ready until the dessert came out 5 minutes later, without the ice cream that was asked for. He then again ignored our table for longer until he finally took our checks. In the time that we were here, other tables had sat, ate, and left before we even got our checks when we finished eating ages before we received them. Our server, Chris, completely ignored us for our entire time there, brought out our food wrong and didn't ask if everything was okay, failed to refill our drinks or even ask if we were satisfied with the food or service. We were neglected while he served other tables and looked our direction constantly before looking away again. He failed to advertise specials and desserts, which loses money for the restaurant and also charged us for extra upgrades that we didn't ask for. Between the ignorance and strangely red eyes, I can confidently say this is one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant ever.

When I think of PK's, I think of a chill spot to watch a game when VT isn't playing at home. I've been here many times now, and have usually had a good experience (aside from one time I got denied at the door without an explanation on a Friday night). The drinks are fairly priced and there's a good amount of seleciton. Today was my first time ordering food, and the Pasta Primavera proved to be a great choice- PK's definitely doesn't skimp on portion sizes if you decide to order food. PK's is a nice and reliable spot if you want to watch football or just have a chill evening. I'll be back.

As some previous reviewers have said, ignore the one star reviews from privileged Gen Zers who are complaining about the service. Seriously, if you are here on a game day, it probably is tough for the staff. There's a reason for that - this is a darned good place. So yeah, they are probably crowded. And you were probably acting obnoxiously and probably drunk. Grow up. We came in for dinner the week before the students were back (oldest son works for VT and lives here). We seated ourselves and we're promptly greeted by our server. Drink orders went in and were delivered quickly. For appetizers, we ordered the loaded cheese fries and the nachos. SO good! Both were jammed packed with toppings. Unfortunately, I missed getting a pic before we dug in. The drinks were ON point. Can't remember what everyone else had because I was enthralled with my Raspberry Lemonade! I did sip my son's Coconut Margarita, and it was SO good. It is a varied menu - the younger son had Pasta Carbonara and loved it! Hubby had a Caesar salad with Carne Asada and was thrilled! I ordered the Faculty Street burger - teriyaki glazed and topped with bacon and cheddar. Ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly! And OH MY those onion rings! They are shoestring rings and cone with the most amazing sauce! Oldest son had the Diablo burger, that he had had many times before and it didn't disappoint. Other orders I. Our group included the classic cheeseburger (again, cooked to perfection) and the Roast Beef and Gouda, which looked spectacular and tasted the same! Super friendly service, clean space and yummy food means we'll be back!

We ordered the chicken, bacon, Gouda pizza and the ratios were poor, too little bacon and chicken, way too much cheese. Server was kind, but busy and didn't see us in the back so we were waiting a while to pay. Very casual, could have been better.

Hasn't changed in 15 years. Still pretty good wings, but the sandwich was super dry. Not a bad option, but nothing special. Typical college town fare.

The food is good; however, the service was mediocre. The bartender was rude and disrespectful when we ordered drinks. We will not return; not good customer service.

Burger made me sick. Entirely too greasy and didn't sit well with my stomach. Thought I would be safe ordering a burger from a bar, but I guess not!

Between PKs being 'seat yourself' and it being a very busy football Sunday, I was understanding of needing to clean off our own table. We waited a decent amount of time before just deciding to try and order food at the bar. The bartender was really nice and helped us get food orders placed in a reasonable amount of time given the volume of customers. What I found unacceptable was after returning to our table, we watched for about 30 mins while the three servers checked on other newly seated tables and took orders. We watched the three servers get drinks to other customers and basically never make eye contact with us. When we finally asked one of them (the only guy working as a server that day) for water he eventually put out a Gatorade cooler of water and sat plastic cups next to it but never came back to our table then continued to bring food/drinks to other tables. I understand things being busy and slow, but being the only table not looked at/checked on/offered drinks/ any service by any of the three servers the same way as the other tables after like 40 mins felt like the establishment just didn't want 'us' there so we cancelled our order and left.

10/10 wings and great drinks, most workers were very friendly with the massive exception of a Leah who was completely and totally rude. 0 customer service skills and just all around very nasty and hostile. I hope she was just having a bad day and taking it out on her customers and isn't actually this wicked all the time. -1 star for Leah

Food was good. Was very packed when my group and I arrived. Bartender added $20 tip for my $6 drink. I was not provided a receipt, and the bartender quickly walked away after giving me my card. Will not be returning. Make sure you pay in cash at the bar. :)

We ordered takeout, the guy on the phone constantly was interrupted and was unsure of the menu. After waiting 25 minutes we came in to pick up our food and he completely forgot to put it in to the kitchen. he didn't say sorry or ask if he can ring it into the kitchen again. don't order pick up here!!

Place was fairly full on a Saturday, waited 30 mins before order was taken, when order was taken told "anything from the grill is taking 40-45 mins", I guess we'll take pizza. Place was cold, understaffed and not very welcoming. If you want to go just to be at PK's great but there is better pizza, wings and service all over Blacksburg

Have never eaten inside, but recently enjoyed our call in order of their famous Buffalo chicken dip! The staff is always friendly and pick up is fast, no complaints!

Would put 0 stars if i could. Unbelievably horrible service. Worst I've ever had in my 26 years. Blatantly rude college kids giving everyone attitude for basic restaurant questions or requests. Food is eh. Wouldn't ever waste my time here again.

Came in to this place for a quick nice meal. Upon entering at 6pm we were stopped by a bouncer and asked for IDs(which is odd at 6pm and plenty of children were present). Regardless he marked my hands on both sides and marked my jacket as well... the stain just would not come off. That aside we ordered nachos to share and two quesadillas which were extremely filling. The food came out in the matter of 5/10m which was a huge plus. Overall the ambience and food is very average, however they need to change their bouncer who was extremely rude. I wouldn't recommend this place.

3.5 stars The food here is hit or miss but there are a lot of options and they're relatively cheap. I like to come on Wednesday's for half off boneless wings. Those are always a hit for me with their citrus chipotle sauce! The buffalo chicken dip is always a go to as well! Most of the time the food is good, but there were some visits where the fries were soggy or the chicken was a little over cooked and dry. This is however I great place to come play darts and pool without having to deal with big crowds and waiting

Delivery review! Disappointed, but not surprised. Was the only place open when I was craving bar food. Charged $12.99 for buffalo shrimp with no side. Asked for no meat on my cheese fries and they only had cheese, was expecting chives maybe? Should have ate what was in my freezer Overall got all this for $32.00 Update: there was bacon in the bottom of my cheese fries. As someone who takes my vegetarianism seriously and will get sick if I eat meat, I wish I could have a refund. Just stop doing delivery if you can't even do it properly.

Came here with some friends while I was visiting at Tech. Decent sized menu and large interior. You have the option of playing darts and other arcade games as well. I ordered the grilled veggie sandwich in a roll with sweet potato fries. My friends ordered the hot dog and Alfredo pasta. The food is decent, not the best I've ever had but still pretty good. On top of that, the food was extremely cheap as well.

I visited this place while in town for a sporting event. I heard their pizza was the best around and it sure didn't disappoint. We ordered the meat special pizza (I forget the exact name). It was very good. We went on a Thursday unknowing the food special for the day is Tijuana Toss: order a large 1 topping pizza & flip a coin for the chance to get your pizza for free. Sure enough I guessed correctly and the pizza was free! We had to pay for the extra toppings but that's nothing compared to the lure of the promotion. Good food, good atmosphere, good drink & food specials.

I am driving from Miami to Toronto, yes this bar was out of the direct pass, but some circumstances altered my route. I have read a bunch of reviews that are negative to this establishment. This is the first time I've been here, and will probably be my last. To be 100% clear not for anything negative, I just don't live anywhere close. There are a lot of negative reviews about service, this bar is popular and many locals go here, that should be all you need to know. I had the chicken cheese steak, it was solid, good not great, but this is pub food, cut the chefs a break. Everything I saw come out looked great. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and I never was for want of a drink. All these people who are whining about service, need to stop, these are professionals bartenders making things happen. Grow up read the room, if it's busy, and your in a rush, or you have kids on a game day, this is not the joint for you. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings right down the road.

I hear the food is good, but the atmosphere was subpar and the management was rude! GameDay in Blacksburg brings a different crowd than the normal Friday/Saturday night. Why not adapt to accommodate the larger purses that are in town. No wonder their workers need a much needed day off on Monday, September 13. I can only imagine how the managers talk to the staff, if customers are treated so poorly. After we saw that interaction, we left and had a yummy and polite meal in Christiansburg.

The staff is very rude and the pizza was worse than papa johns. Do yourself a favor and go to the Cellar when in Blacksburg.

I ordered this for my long distance boyfriend as a surprise present, and he loved it! They wrote the little message for him I put in the delivery notes, and delivery was exactly within the parameters they stated.

Rudest bartenders in Blacksburg. Each of them is miserable and acts like they cant stand business. Been here several times since they remodeled, so I know its not a once time occurrence. One comes to enjoy good service in this small town but these bartenders are unbelievably abrasive and unfriendly. Better service and better people at nearly every other downtown in Blacksburg. I'd never recommend this bar to anyone in town.

I ordered a call ahead order at noon for it to be picked up at 5pm the same day. Got the the restaurant at 5:15 and they hadn't even started making my order yet. What's the point of ordering ahead if it's not even close to be being ready when promised. Will never be coming back here.

If i could give this place a 0 I would. I used to love coming here yet the bartenders are so mean and bi**chy that it ruins the experience completely. I enjoyed coming here in the past, but I am done because the servers and bartenders hate literally everyone and make it an awful experience for anyone that even walks into the building. Just... NEVER COME HERE. They deserve no service.

Before Ring Dance at Virginia Tech, my group and I went here for dinner. We had a party of 12 and PK's was the only place that had enough space given the high demand. PK's overall food quality is okay/not the best. I had the shrimp po boy. The meal itself is a little bland but it still had hints of flavor. I got a wrap instead of a sandwich, but I regretted that decision once I saw how large the sandwiches were. It looked like the sandwiches were 2x the size of wraps, and they're the same price. Definitely stick to sandwiches instead of wraps. On the flipside, I really liked their onion rings. People in the group also ordered pizza and other dishes, which looked good! The service was a little on the slower end, which was expected because we were a large group.

Awful customer service. Waiters were terrible. Would never recommend returning. One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life.

I'm so surprised PKs doesn't have better reviews! I grew up in Blacksburg so my family and I would go there often. Now that I've moved, I always have to go to PKs when I come to town. It is a bar and usually pretty crowded so the service can be a little slow but they seriously have my favorite pizza! Also, they have a cranberry feta salad that's amazing too. Their Tijuana Toss on Thursday's is such a great deal.

Great food, high standards in kitchen management! I've used PK's for catering large groups. Reliable, fun restaurant environment! Most popular restaurant on game days! Kudos to the staff and Chef Will. Keep up the good work!

takes effing forever to get one drink. I swear I was full of life when I walked up to the bar and 15 min later I'm yawning my ass off. If John taffer wasn't still alive he'd roll over in his grave.

My friend and I both ordered the primavera pasta with garlic bread for delivery. Our order was delivered in a timely fashion, and the primavera pasta (with alfredo sauce) was delicious and not too heavy, if you know what I mean. I knocked my rating down two stars because I think it could've been a bit cheaper considering the portions (the pasta didn't fill the aluminum tin), there were some rogue mushrooms even though I specifically requested no mushrooms, and the garlic bread was too distasteful to finish.

Service was not the norm even with COVID taken into account. Food was great but I'll stick with delivery not the PKs I grew up on What would have made it better is if they kept with the rest of Blacksburg and lifted their crazy mask rule.

Got the chicken ranch in a bowl with chips! Really good. They also have bold rock on draft which I love. Good place!

Stopped in for lunch on patio. Great menu and service. The burgers were juicy and tasty.

This place had very much a bar feel for a restaurant. I would recommend their club sandwich and PK's grinder. Their onion rings were unlike most other onion rings, and I really enjoyed them. Another thing I would recommend is their pizza. Their service was also great.

PK's service isn't very good at all. Sometimes waits can be about an hour long, but most of the time you're great. On Thursdays, you can get a free pizza if you guess the coin flip correctly! Pizza's pretty decent too!

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about because I would give PK's a solid 4/5 assuming that you only order drinks and pizza (I haven't ordered anything other than pizza and beer from this location). The specialty pizzas are all pretty good for their price and size. Nothing special, but also not bad and one of the better pizza spots in Blacksburg. They also have a night (I believe on Thursdays?) that the call "Tijuana Toss" night. If you order a regular size (two topping) pizza on Tijuana Toss night, the manager comes around at the end of the night with a quarter he flips & you call. If you call the flip correctly, you get the pizza for FREE! Pretty fun to do with a large group of people and I have had the awesome experience of getting all four of my group's pizzas free one time! They also have a very long/large bar area where they have a decent amount of quality craft beers on tap (they also rotate every now and then).

Blacksburg is a college town filled with college town bars and this is a good one, offering steel dip darts, pool tables, many TVs, juke box, a large beer selection with some local brews and a vast menu. We went in pretty late last night, looking to eat and were told the table service was over and we would need to order at the bar. I got a little sad until the bartender said they still offered their FULL MENU! (happy little dance) So, I had choices. One person in our party ordered a burger and fries and it looked juicy and good. He never slowed down to comment. Another person ordered a pepperoni pizza. While I've had their pizza before and it was good, last night was not so great. But really, it's hit or miss here with that. I think a better choice would've been the Sicilian. It's just that the round pie last night was undercooked and the sauce wasn't consistently spread. I got a hotdog!! I know, I know....exciting. I happen to be on a kick lately. This hot plate was $4.99. It's an all beef, kosher dog with ANYTHING you want on it. It comes on a hogie roll. So, so good! I got chili, mustard, ketchup, onions, and cheese. What I wasn't told was the chili is actually chili beans. I guess that was ok. A little strange but good. It came with fries (delicious and well cooked) and a pickle spear. I think I won the night. I'll definitely get this again although I think I might go back today for a grilled cheese because they offer rye and Gouda. There are more choices but I can't get that out of my head. We got a few beers from Parkway Brewing which is located half an hour away and is, in my opinion, the best beer around. They had the Baltic Porter. It went great (let me raise my pinky in the air here and say, paired well) with the hotdog. ;) The atmosphere was good and people were happy. A very good experience.

Although my peers may not agree PKs is a fun place! It's not the typical college crowd you find in most Blacksburg establishments. I always have a good time here, there is so much entertainment: pool tables, arcade games, darts and tons of TVs. Deals! The best part of PKs. Wednesday: My favorite night is wing bites night. The wing bites are half off, so dinner is about $4. You can't beat that. The wing bites are like boneless chicken wings but much smaller and served with a toothpick. Thursdays: Tijuana Toss is everyone's favorite. It is always plenty crowded on Thursday night full of people sitting in anticipation to see if they get a free pizza or not. The way Tijuana toss works is you order the large pizza(s) you want and then you eat. Once are sad because the pizza is gone an employee comes over to flip a coin. If you call it right, lucky you, your pizza is free. If you're wrong, you cry, because you're full and you have to pay for the pizza. Surprisingly I loved the pizza. I never ordered it because I hate thin crust and that's what it looks like, it's not at all though. The crust was the perfect amount of doughy while being cooked thoroughly. And the sauce was delicious as well. Try the jalapeño bacon combo, you will be happy. I'll update the rest of the days once I try them :)

The management was extremely rude. There are better places with cheaper food, nicer staff, and the food taste equally as good. They need new management.

This bar is my least favorite in Blacksburg. The food is subpar and the service is even worse. The bouncer and the bar tenders were so rude and unattentive. I also found a hair in my food. I see why no one ever went here before the pandemic. Would not recommend this place to anyone

I've heard good things about PK's wings and we certainly were not disappointed. We tried out the Hot, Medium, and Jerk wings which were all great. The Jerk wings in particular had a very nice flavor to them and just the right amount of kick. We also had the meat lovers pizza which was also pretty good. This review would probably be 3 stars or more if it were not for the fact that the men's room here is a nuclear contamination zone. There were 2 urinals bagged up and out of commission. There was about 2 inches of standing water (I hope) in the entire bathroom and a hole in the wall that the smell of raw sewage was coming from. How this bathroom was even open is beyond me. Just walk around back and do your business behind the trees - you'll thank me later. Considering this cesspool is next to the kitchen is certainly not an appetizing thought....

I love pk's and order food for pickup or delivery almost every weekend. I have had a few bad experiences but always let them slide and never complained to the staff. However, I ordered for delivery yesterday and have never received such bad and rude service from a restaurant staff ever in my life. Not only was the staff extremely rude but also part of my order was incorrect. We were told for over an hour after the estimated delivery time that our food was on the way and at one point an employee admitted to us that they forgot about our order and they were having to remake it. We asked if we could cancel or just pick it up and they told us we couldn't. I live 2 minutes from the restaurant and after over two hours I finally received my food and our simple order of just two mini pizzas and two cheese fries was cold and incorrect. After this experience I will NEVER be ordering food from here ever again. I understand it was a saturday and they were busy but the disrespect my friends and I received from the staff on the phone to the delivery driver was completely unacceptable. None of us will be ordering from there ever again unless the management makes some serious changes in their service and staff.
