It feels like small boutique hotel. It was renovated 3 years ago. Mine was a large room with 2 very comfortable written queen beds. Very clean! - Two adjoining courtyards had a pool and other seating areas around the fountains. - Handicap room is available. - The lobby staff was excellent and heroes helped worth reservations and taxis. - The only thing lacking would be a bar. I will, definitely, stay there, again Jane

Beautiful grounds. Excellent location (block from cafe dumonde & Jackson Square. Room was very spacious with a balcony to relax on. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and got checked in smoothly and held our bags until we departed. Lovely courtyard with pool. Only stayed two nights but will definitely stay here again when I return.

Cool. We had a balcony room that you could see Jackson Square from. We could hear the jazz playing in the square. A/C was awesome! We were here in August, hottest time of the year. Staff was above and beyond customer oriented. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone.

Roby, Andrew, Andre and Patrice! All amazing. Thank you! Our room was lovely with an open mini fridge for snacks and drinks. The grocery is minutes away on foot, a gazillion restaurants within walking distance and it was PERFECT. Highly recommend. We will be going back for sure.

Great personable service! Attendants were super helpful and friendly and the hotel areas were all super clean, which is more than I can say for the surrounding streets and areas. I felt super clean and comfortable in the room, and the bathroom was super modern and clean too! They also gave us extra towels when we needed them, because it randomly rained suddenly and we got stuck in it. We would stay here again!

This gorgeous historic hotel has 7 buildings and each room has its own unique charm. The rooms are all freshly renovated in a style that compliments the historic atmosphere. The service is impeccable by everyone from the front desk to bell men, and housekeeping staff. We loved spending time in the two courtyards and pool. Place d'Armes is located steps from Jackson Square and is walkable to nearly everything. We have stayed many times and will be back again!

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was in a perfect location and we were able to get everywhere easily. The bed was my favorite thing. The bed was perfect sheets were perfect and perfect weight. Not so tight that you can't move. The staff were friendly and accommodating to what our needs were. I will definitely be staying there in the future.

This is our second time staying here. Can’t see enough about the staff. Beautiful accommodations right in the heart of the French quarter. Staff will do anything and everything to give you a great day. Great for couples kids and anything. We’re coming back from a cruise and flying out that day and they’re even letting us keep our bags for the day after we get back when we’re not staying. They’ve helped us with every imaginable thing and I never worry when I’m staying here because I know they’ll take care of me. It’s all about the people, can’t recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Stepping into Place d'Armes Hotel feels like walking straight into the pages of a Victorian novel. This hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter and is a treasure trove of Victorian charm and mystery, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable stay in New Orleans. From the fantastic staff who welcome you the moment you walk in~ to the fabulous courtyards. You only need a bottle of wine and a backgammon game to spend the day. Having traveled extensively worldwide, I tend to look for these boutique hotels, and this one is well worth the visit. Even if it is to only stay at the hotel and lean into a new vision of life. Amazing people & staff - fantastic location, clean & accommodating. Love, Love, Love, and will be my place when we return to New Orleans.

Yelp
A beautiful boutique hotel consisting of multiple historic buildings near Jackson Square. Both safe and peaceful, it's the perfect base of operations for the French Quarter.

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. This is a historic hotel. We had a double bed room on the 4th floor. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom area was very small. The hotel provided bar soap instead of liquid soap. The room was cleaned/refreshed daily. There is no restaurant on site but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There is a small pool and an inner beautiful courtyard. The hotel held our luggage on check-in day when we arrived early and also held our luggage again on our check-out day when we had an afternoon flight. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The best part of this hotel was the location. It was within walking distance of Jackson Square, Cafe Du Monde, restaurants and Bourbon Street.

Yelp
We were in town for the Taylor Swift concert. We thought we paid for a clean, cozy stay but in contrast our room was dirty, damp, and infested with cockroaches. We tried to get ahold of management several times (5+) as we had paid $2,000+ for our 3 night stay but they never got back to us. They had no rooms to transfer us to and were unwilling to offer any solutions. Since everything was booked for the weekend we were not able to transfer. Book here for an extraordinarily humbling experience that will make both your spine tingle and wallet cry. Should have taken more pictures but wanted to stay out of the room as much as possible. Follow up to their response: I've already reached out several times including your survey. I've not had any response besides this review.

Yelp
Would 100% recommend this place and come back again! We stayed in a balcony queen room which was excellent. The room was clean and large - but the customer service was top notch! The entire team there was so kind and hospitable. Shout out to Patrice at the front desk who was so warm and genuine - made my mom's birthday extra special. Stewart was also so nice and went above and beyond to help us get a reasonably priced cab when ride share prices skyrocketed!

Yelp
The only hotel in the French Quarter with a parking garage, which deserves some discussion of its own. You pull in to the garage where there are a just 5 spots. The garage attendant will take your car, and drive forward to the elevator. Yes a lift for a car! It's taken to a multi level garage which is accessible only via this elevator, so whenever you want to access your car you'll need to ask the attendant who will bring it down for you. We needed to get some things out of it one night and he let us ride up with him. Quite the experience! The room was off an enclosed courtyard which is gated and secured from the street. There is a pool and several cast iron tables and chairs, a pretty fountain and large trees. This was a nice place to stop and wait for my roommate to finish. One night we had some restaurant carryout and ate it here instead of the room. The room was a very nice size with two queen beds not feeling crowded at all. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large shower and very roomy prep space. The safe and fridge were a great place to put leftovers, water and of course valuables in the sage where you set your own code each time. I had a passport and some cash with so was very glad to gave this feature. Clean and historic heritage building, brick work and plaster were visible, the ceiling soared high with tall windows and transom as you'd expect in New Orleans. AC was cool with a thermostat you can set on the wall was ideal instead of having to choose to walk over to shut it off and on as some places have had. Friendly helpful staff were all that I encountered. For Beignets, just walk out the front door, take a left and two blocks down is Cafe duMonde....the world famous place to get them...and they ARE so good and fun, but that's another review.

Yelp
Stayed here for four nights with friends recently, and had a mixed stay. We arrived around 9pm, checked in with no hassle, and got a room very close to the front office (a "1 King Bed Junior Suite"), on the second (of two) floors in that building. The first night, we didn't hear too much noise so that was nice. I needed that room type because it had a sofa bed, but sadly there were no pillows for it - and we had a very long wait to receive any. Friends arrived the next day around 1pm, were told their room wouldn't be ready until 4pm (so we put their luggage in our room), and the room wasn't ready until closer to 6pm. Long story short - the lack of noise on the first night was a fluke - we heard a lot on the remaining nights, into the wee hours. Drunk folks liked to hang out in the courtyard, apparently. Housekeeping was an issue though. We didn't receive any service after our first night, and after the second night, oddly they took all of our soaps and replaced them with new unwrapped soaps. Weird. Worst of all though was that they didn't close the door completely for my friend's room one day (and their room was on the ground floor, with lots of people walking by it). Thankfully, nothing was taken that they noticed, but it really stressed everyone out. :( Great location, but lots of room for improvement.

Keith S.

Yelp
We arrived a bit early and were offered early check in rather than a bag check which was a huge plus. Room was charming and clean. Close to everything. Also the most helpful bellhop with our bags and then local recommendations. 10 out of 10

Yelp
A beautiful building with efficient and friendly staff! Rooms were a nice size and impeccably clean.

Yelp
I stayed at this place for a whole week while I was visiting my daughter and brand new grandson. My room was very comfortable with two queen beds. My only complaint is it had no window, but I knew that when I booked it, it was very quiet and dark, so it was hard to tell what time day was but again I knew I wasn't getting a window. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I particularly liked Rory who worked the evening shift. She was always smiling and happy to see us. She seem to be. the courtyard was really pretty in the swimming pool was nice. I didn't go in, but it looked very nice.

Yelp
Set right in the middle of the quarter....off Jackson Square, this hotel boasts charm and elegance with an upgrade. An 800 ft walk will have you eating beignets with Cafe Au Lait from Cafe Du Monde. The property itself has character! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Check out the courtyard and the balcony view! Escape to the pool for a break from the heat!

Yelp
GREAT location, and cool that it's haunted. Decent sized room too. But in a room that has no effective outside window, and a maze to get to. Booked well in advance, so a bit disappointing they couldn't put us in a better room. But overall fine, particularly given tbd location -- and bonus for the ghosts.

Emersyn E.

Yelp
We had a great 4 night stay! Everyone who works the front desk is so pleasant and kind. Patrice is so sweet! We did a balcony room which was awesome! The courtyard is beautiful and we really enjoyed escaping the heat in the pool. Our room was clean upon arrival and housekeeping came each day and tidied it up for us. With being so close to bourbon street, the noise is very minimal, even in a balcony room! People hung out in the courtyard at night which was a fun way to meet others traveling from different areas. I definitely recommend, especially for adults! If a little noise bothers you, I would not stay anywhere in the French quarter. It is a party area after all. All in all, great stay!

Clarica B.

Yelp
The staff was exceptionally kind. Located in a great spot. Very clean and quiet. Easy to get to and easy walk to anywhere we wanted to go.

Yelp
Great location, super staff, and cute rooms. We really enjoyed he courtyard, even in less than perfect weather! Mark was great at the front desk, and I really wish I gotten the name of the bellman. He may be the friendliest hotel staffer we've ever encountered. There is a somewhat hidden path to get to this tiny balcony that look out over Muriel's balcony and Jackson Square. Too cool!

Yelp
Found this hotel, right in the heart of the French Quarter. Steps away from anything you need. Sight seeing, food, street car, Walgreens, everything is so accessible. While I didn't have a car, they have a parking garage attached to the hotel & it's monitored at all times. Everyone working here were so kind & helped with any questions we had about the area & attractions. Our flight times were early morning & in evening & there were no worries with having the hotel hold our bags until we could check in & activity head to the hotel at the end of the trip. The grounds itself are in tune with NOLA. Sitting in either of courtyards is so relaxing. The pool was cleaned often from the petals falling from the trees. Take note, the pool is a little smaller than it appears on the site, but it was never over crowded. I had an interior room (no windows). Which wasn't a big deal at all since we were hardly inside. The room itself was gorgeous! I love brick walls & it had a spot that used to be a fireplace. The tall headboards also had so much appeal. Walking into the 2rm modern bathroom, you're hit with your reflection from the very well lit, wall to wall mirror. The actual toilet/shower room was quite small. The 2 head shower itself had good pressure & the water temps were perfect. I also noticed how things were hidden. Such as the closet & refrigerator. I discovered the closet was in the bathroom. When I opened it, I felt like I was opening a door to a speakeasy or Narnia's closet. Same with the mini fridge. That was hiiden in the desk. Everything about this room was comfortable. However, we did hear our neighbors talking. Not sure how that happened with a brick wall but they weren't disruptive & I'm sure they heard us laughing & giggling. The room is on the 3rd floor. The hotel has an elevator, but it's really small & it did smell like machine. When I come to this area again, this hotel will be my go to. They were the cheapest for the time & amount of days we stayed. I'm pretty sure they're the closet to excitement.

Noel G.

Yelp
Decent place to stay. The hotel is old which give that charm and feeling what's like back in the days. It used to be first school in Louisiana according to plaque outside the hotel. Room is decent for a couple, king size bed. Nice bathroom but exhaust fan though the restroom by the elevator on the first floor has one which is useful. Lol! Our room is next to the elevator and housekeeper area. Wished the housekeeper would keep it down when they're working. Also, we're by the stair's door and slam loud so whenever it's being used. But, we're glad that this happen during the day. This a great location, couple yards far from Jackson's Square and Cafe duMonde. Walking distance to Mississippi River and to any River Cruise.

Yelp
My two friends and I stayed here (three of us) in a room for two with two double beds. We checked in at almost two in the morning, but the staff was friendly and attentive even despite the late hour, even going as far to walk us to our room so we wouldn't get scared (the courtyard is so spooky!!!) or lost. The beds were comfy, the rooms and sheets clean, the temperature in the rooms was great. The room was turned over and cleaned by about 2pm every day-- lots of extra toiletries and replacement of the towels. WiFi was very strong for all three of us, even though this is an old brick property. The tap water was drinkable, the water pressure in the shower was strong, the blackout curtains did a fairly decent job blocking out the light from the street. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, a truly restored historical gem. I have a hard time imagining myself wanting to stay anywhere else in New Orleans. It's right on the Square (we could get to Cafe du Monde in literally two minutes!) and only a block down from Bourbon, but that block is far enough that we didn't hear any of the loud partying that continues into the early morning from our room. My only complaint would be the sound of the street cleaning as trash pickups at around 4-5am, but lets be honest-- if you stay anywhere on this street, and you want a window out onto the action or the square, you're going to hear the street cleaning and the trash pickups. Big thank you to Nell at the front desk for her service, and to Andrew the bellhop for holding our bags and ordering us a taxi that arrived early, ready to load our luggage for us-- taxis are a fixed rate of 35 for two or 45 for three to the airport, whereas surge charges can be a bit unpredictable to MSY. Appreciated your help!!!

Yelp
Trese is the best ever! So nice and personable! She helped us with some Nola recommendations.

Yelp
Great location. Jackson Square is just down the street, cafe du monde a quick less than 5 minute walk...the hop on hop off office right there. Don't need your car once you park it. Charming inside courtyard. What's not to love about this hotel. CVS and Walgreens right there outside the front door. French Market shopping within walking distance. Highly recommend Place d'Armes Hotel.
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
Location, location, location. Lovely hotel a couple blocks off Bourbon Street and one block from Jackson Square. Quiet, easy to walk to anywhere in the Quarter. Lovely courtyard. But the best feature is the staff. So friendly and helpful. I'm told they used to have breakfast before Covid. We wish they would bring it back.

Ashley J.

Yelp
The service at this hotel was delightful. The location can't be beat. The rooms, the courtyard, and the balcony are beautiful. Unfortunately I had to dock it one star because it's a little loud. I understand being so close to Jackson square is going to come with some outside noise, whether that's music or the early morning clean up. But the walls in this hotel are thin and I could hear everything going on and being said in the rooms next to me. But that's my only complaint and if you're a heavy sleeper (or simply tired enough) it's not a problem!

Yelp
I absolutely loved Place d'Armes Hotel! This was my first visit to NOLA and I was completely overwhelmed trying to find a nice place to stay. Luckily Yelp & Fb groups brought me to Place d'Armes! The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the French quarter and in walking distance to literally everything awesome in NOLA. It is also located in a super safe location, quiet and surprisingly just a few minutes walk from bourbon. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! You really get the feel you are in NOLA with their vintage decor. The pool and courtyard are stunning as well. I also love the access to their balconies overlooking Jackson square! Our room was fantastic. We opted with one with a window with a king bed. Our bed was super comfy and I even told the woman at the desk before we left how I'm going to miss those pillows! Staff is also super friendly! They legitimately care about how your stay is going and how they can help. We were even able to check our bags in storage for a couple hours before our flight as check out happened to be a couple hours before we had to leave to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel! Perfect location, quiet, beautiful and friendly staff! 1000% recommend!

Heather M.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and a location that can't be beat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being located right off Jackson Square made it really easy for me to navigate in my head.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the Place d'Armes. It's an old world boutique hotel with loads of personality. It is a modern hotel, but in the space of an old NOLA French Quarter building that's been everything from a school to a hospital, to military quarters to now, a hotel. I've stayed at this hotel a half dozen times and it's perfect for a trip to the Quarter. It centrally located near Jackson Square. If you walk out the front doors and look left you'll be staring at Cafe Du Monde that's a block away. There's a small pool in a lovely interior courtyard and the space is a quiet shaded area for relaxing with a bottle of wine away from the hustle of the streets of the Quarter.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
This is an amazing historic hotel. The location is perfect for seeing the Quarter and city but also enjoying tranquil evenings in the courtyard or balcony. The staff is amazing, friendly, and attentive. Could not recommend a better place. The rooms were recently updated with luxurious bathrooms. While we spent very little time in the actual room, we did have a problem with the tv remotes not working unless you were literally 1 foot from the tv and rooms need more than one luggage stand. This would not stop me from coming back, but I hope those issues get fixed. If you are going to stay in the Quarter, you must book at Place d'Armes!

Yelp
We LOVED our 7 day stay here! Perfect location, a couple of blocks from Bourbon Street and about a half block from Jackson Square. We enjoyed going out on the shared balcony and people watching from the 3rd floor. This hotel is so historic and really has that "old timey" feel. The staff was AMAZING here helping us with restaurant options, coupons, maps and their interesting stories! I loved Patrice at the front desk -- always had a smile on her face and made sure to say hello when we walked through the lobby. Our room was on the third floor facing the courtyard. I loved the exposed brick wall -- the room was modern with vintage style. Bed was comfortable. Hotel doesn't offer coffee, but there is a cigar shop next door that offers cappuchino, latte's and expresso! And it was sooo good. We found that they don't seem to open the same time every day so if you want something with guaranteed hours, you may want to hike a few blocks to get your caffeine fix. I don't think we would ever consider another NOLA hotel since staying at this gem!

Carol E.

Yelp
Amazing place to stay, in French Quarter, very nice, walking distance to so many places, very safe
google avatar

Jarko D.

Yelp
THIS is the only place in the quarter I'll stay.... the staff is beyond friendly, the rooms are clean and well decorated. Its perfectly located in the quarter ... perfect spot
google avatar

Angelina E.

Yelp
Book a room here if you want to be in the French Quarter but not in the thick of Bourbon Street. Very close to Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. We enjoyed both a King balcony room and a King suite during our stay. If you are sensitive to sounds, I suggest not getting a balcony room as the sounds carry from outside. Also - ask for a room not close to the elevator because you really can hear thru the walls. The bathrooms were both clean and had nice hot water and decent water pressure. Staff is so nice. Shout out to Patrice! She went above and beyond during our stay and was very pleasant in general. In fact all the staff are but I only caught her name. Get a Suite if you want more room to roam about the cabin. $42 valet parking per night with in an out privileges. They are not offering their complimentary breakfast at this time but will make up your room if you ask. They sell postcards for .50 in the lobby which makes it easy to send mail to your loved ones back home.

Yelp
This hotel has a lot of charm and the location is perfect. Nice and quiet, but easy walk to Jackson Square, Cafe Du Monte and Bourbon street.

EM w.

Yelp
A courtyard room would definitely be great if traveling with kids. The room is spacious with plenty of room for the kids to play or wander around. (your on the ground floor..so no worries about kids stomping or jumping) The pool is the perfect size to keep an eye on kiddos

Nancy C.

Yelp
We are having a great time here. The hotel is spectacular. It has so much character. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially the front desk clerk. Brittany. She. is so helpful and knowledgeable and she seems to really care that your stay is good. Recommend the hotel highly

E'dee W.

Yelp
A nice hotel that everyone should experience for a night or two. It is very historic with a nice pool (not heated). The only staff with any enthusiasm are the bellman. The rest of the staff is pleasant but definitely not enthusiastic about their work. The front desk is very, very relaxed. Either you will love that or hate it. I had a courtyard ground floor room. It was an excellent choice. Very convenient and perfect if you have limited mobility. The rooms are well maintained as well as the grounds. It is very convenient to the hot spots of the French Quarter. The hotel is very quiet except for when the hotel bar was open on a Wednesday night. It might have been a bridal party not to sure. Overall, I would definitely stay again but just for a night or two. There are way too many other hotel options that are just as nice and cheaper. There is a very, very small parking garage. Probably not worth the headache trying to park in there and its rather expensive.

Yelp
We love this place. Ambience is stellar. Pool and gardens fabulous. All personal are great. Room is super quaint. Close to everything.

Yelp
I have to admit, it's been a long time since I've been here, so this review isn't exactly current. But I stayed here years ago when I was in New Orleans for a business trip (waaaaay better than staying at the conference hotel, and cheaper). I chose it based on the recommendation of friends who had actually stayed here when they got married. I really enjoyed my stay. You couldn't ask for a better location, right in the middle of everything in the French Quarter, but just far enough away from Bourbon Street that you can get some sleep. The building was very charming and picturesque. My room was comfortable (although I have to say, staying in a windowless room was a new experience for me). The staff was very nice. If I'm ever in New Orleans again, for business or pleasure, I would stay here again.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
We decided to have a mini vacation in the French Quarter and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Our room was perfect, quiet and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating with great ideas for restaurants and help with booking excursions. Brittany, who worked the desk at night, was always so happy and helpful. Patrice, who worked the desk during the day, was also helpful and a joy to see each day. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the staff at Place d'Armes Hotel for making my first trip to the French Quarter a memorable one!

Monique M.

Yelp
Patrice is amazing! The hotel is peaceful and elegant. The ground so beautiful. I'm so happy I have the opportunity to stay there.

Yelp
Sadly, after some 49 years of enjoying Place d'Armes & Valentino Hotels, I must withdraw my recommendations. We are now in Place d'Armes. I have been excusing their worsening services & declining property upkeep for too long. Yes, prices are up, all over, not exactly their fault. But the decline if hospitality and hotel amenities can no longer be excused. "Guests" are obviously despised by intolerant workers, despite continuous "remodeling", facilities are declining, and the place is filthy. Just one more to follow our recent advice of: "N.O., just don't GO !" Not to mention carjackers murdering a Lady or the "stray bullet" killing a young man on Bourbon Street yesterday. Sad, just so SAD. This entire City is rotten, and our once & long time island of refuge, Place d'Armes has joined the rot ! Rick .

Yelp
I booked at this wonderful hotel again two weeks ago after having stayed here in February. I really can't imagine staying at another hotel in New Orleans after experiencing the gracious staff, amazing rooms, and the historical ambiance that makes this place so special. So cool!

Angeliki M.

Yelp
Mattrese at the front desk was very accommodating and kind. We had an issue in one of our courtyard rooms during a busy Halloween week--and while rooms were booked, she set us up with our desired new room the next morning. It's people like her who make our return to place d'armes year after year a true pleasure. Thank you mattrese!

Yelp
Location couldn't be better, right behind jackson square, safe area, lobby was nice, the property is beautiful, rooms were well appointed, have everything you need, roomy for a historical area, clean. Only downside was we could hear everything in the halls, including a drunk older patron that yelled for a while, we called the front desk and it was over quickly. Its new orleans, par for the course. Not the hotels fault. Front desk staff were perfect! Friendly, funny, informative and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

Pamela R.

Yelp
Great location, very comfy bed, very nice patio and pool, very clean and tidy, great renovated bathrooms, wonderful and helpful cleaning and office staff. At night ghost tours can be found in their patio chatting away about the building's old history. This is a great boutique hotel at Jackson Square. Didn't give them five stars cause they don't have a restaurant or offer coffee in the lobby. But no problem, they are surrounded by great places for breakfast and dinner, and super close to the French Market and Cafe du Monde.
google avatar

Raquel F.

Yelp
Monica checked us in and she was so sweet amazing. We had a doorman help us with bags, made us laugh about ghost stories ! I had told Monica we just got married, and next morning I went to talk to Patrice to get a 3rd day here... we got back to our room that afternoon and found a beautiful gift ! I will definitely be back! We were so close to everything in walking distance and felt so safe !!! I loved it !!!

Yelp
What a cute place in the center of the French quarter! Felt like a little garden oasis in the middle of the city. Clean, safe and close to Jackson Square
google avatar

Liliana M.

Yelp
Location, location, location... it's very well located... few steps from the FQ. They offer a nice law enforcement discount which is always a plus. The only "issue" was house keeping with the loud doors. You can guide the door as it shuts to avoid that loud sound but nope. Slamming doors begin promptly at 8am along with some unwelcoming loud singing as they walk down the hallway. Lucky for me, I travel with noise cancelling earbuds. :)

Yelp
I stayed here in December of last year and had a wonderful experience. Pros: - Staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful - Hotel is physically appealing and has lots of character - More affordable than most FQ hotels - The location is ideal. I love St. Anne St. - The heat and air conditioning both worked well - Room was spacious and had a balcony - I felt safe there - Not at all noisy - Continental breakfast... The pastries are good quality. Cons: - No elevator to my room, which normally would be fine... however it rained a lot and I almost fell down the stairs with my luggage. If you are older or the weather looks bad, ask for a room on the first floor. - The shower/bath. It was scalding hot or not quite enough, and there was standing water in the shower after two minutes of showering. - I was hoping for a ghost but there wasn't one.

Yelp
The pictures on hotels.com and the property website are so deceiving. When we checked in and headed up to our room the wallpaper was visibly peeling off of the walls and the floors were super sticky. Our room was dimly lit, smelled like mildew, and the carpet was wet. The air vents were visibly dirty and dusty, the wallpaper was peeling in many locations, and a couple places were stapled back into place which was super tacky looking. Room cleanup never happened after we left for a day of fun and we came home to our room exactly as we left it.. no fresh towels, no freshly made bed... it was as if they just skipped out room. The gorgeous exposed brick shown in the pictures online must only be specific rooms because our room was so ugly and dirty... but I guess it makes sense that those wouldn't be the rooms they would want to show on their site. I will say that the courtyard was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful, and this definitely was a great location to be able to walk around the area. If it wasn't for the location, though, this place wouldn't be somewhere I would ever stay. Hindsight being 20/20 the amount of money that we paid to spend 2 nights here is absolutely ridiculous and feels like a giant waste of money. Over $700 for 2 nights stay since so many areas currently are in their spring breaks and then $45 a day for our car to be parked. No breakfast, no coffee maker or fridge in the room... literally just a room. Pretty disappointing and would not recommend. Next time I think we'll stay further out of the French Quarter and just Uber in to ensure we have a nice hotel, as well, so that we have an all around great trip!

Yelp
This place was so beautiful. Very spacious rooms. The staff was so nice to us. Really happy they held our luggage after we checked out so we could walk around before returning home. Would come back if/when I visit New Orleans again.
