The Place de la Palud is a quaint crossroad with attractive buildings all around. We were particularly attracted by the statue in the centre of the place depicting Justice as a blindfolded young woman bearing a sword and scales. The Pope, the Emperor, the Grand Turk and a magistrate are bowing in submission at her feet.
The stack and the column are copies, created in 1930 while the originals are held in the Lausanne History Museum.
