The place des Terreaux with the majestic city hall of Lyon is a great photo subject. And it is just nice to sit at the fountain in front of it and to see people walking by. The square with its view onto the city hall is one of the most well-known landmarks of Lyon.

The architecture of the buildings is truly worth seeing. The entire square is surrounded by very old and elaborately decorated buildings. On the square are cafes and restaurants, ideal for taking in the whole artwork.

Really pretty. Could spend half an hour just to sit here.

Worth to visit by sightseeing, only 10 minutes and you can go to the museum. Beware your pocket as well.

Nice architecture surrounding the square. The highlight is the Fountain depicting Amphitrite, Greek Goddess of the sea. It is an impressive sculpture.
