Place Lund

I haven't stayed at the hotel itself, but I made a booking that clearly said that I can cancel until the day before arrival, and had a cancellation button on it. When I needed to cancel, the button didn't work and I got a message to contact the hotel. No reply to email, has to call by phone, they took 10 min or so to find my booking which was through their webpage, and then charged me a 150 SEK cancellation fee.

Rooms were comfortable although little bit old. Service was top level, food was great.

I stayed for 2 nights in a single room. Nice, simple, clean room with basic facilities, except that it would have been so good if in-room coffee/tea making was possible. The bed and the overall ambiance were fine. But the toilet/shower design was very irritating because a lot of water splashed around when one shower. Breakfast is very simple and meager with a very limited choice of breads (mostly in the form of pre-prepared thick sandwiches), eggs, cheese etc. Its location within 5 minutes of walking from the railway station can be quite attractive. All in all, a simple, hostel-like hotel.

We were forced to stay here for one night because our bathroom was broken. It was generally clean and comfortable, with a nice little garden. They also offer a free tasty dinner, which was an extra convenience for us. It's a bit far from the old town if you're a tourist, but it's a good choice if you're on business or just a temporary shelter like we were.

Been here several times. Always booking this hotel. Some of the people in the reception need a course in the "art of the smiling" but most of the staff are nice. The included dinner is amazing and the wonderful woman who cook is one of a kind talent.give her a raise. I'll be back for the swedish husmanskost.

I would actually give this hotel 4 stars but i had such a positive experience there i am giving 5 to raise the total aggregated rating. Very comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast. They helped me when i got stuck by failed train scheduling. Excellent room for the price. I would very much recommend Place Lund for anyone in the area.

Paid for a room. Did not get said room I paid for... Do not book! Will change review if I resolve the issue but so far I doubt it. The hotel itself is ready to fall apart, dirty and dusty in every corner and make you wonder if you'd rather just spend the night on the streets on in a car. It's most certainly not quiet.

Our stay was good - and we slept really well. We couldn’t get all the lights to come on but we expect that’s our Canadian expectations not matching Swedish technology. The connection under the sink came apart on a Sunday evening and the staff had someone in to fix it the next day while we were out. We we’re impressed with the fast repair! Breakfast is always a treat in European hotels and so is the lovely bedding. We’d come back again!
