I wandered through Place Masséna and loved its vibrant yet calm vibe. The checkerboard paving and lush palm trees make for a bright, welcoming space. Despite being a major crossroads, the square feels surprisingly open—with plenty of benches to sit and soak in the atmosphere. In the evening, the illuminated fountains and soft lighting create a peaceful, magical moment to pause amid the city’s rhythm.

Really good and entertaining place to sit and have a cold draft beer while the wife is shopping. Never boring with all the many different people passing by. Several places to sit in the shade.

The Seven Statues of Massena are the characters that represent seven continents and the communication between the different communities of today's society. The name of this creation is “conversation à Nice”. Plus, the statues are illuminated every night, colors are changing smoothly to emulate a dialog between them, it's very beautiful and poetic. The square itself is very notable for it's spacious shape and nice scenery in the evening hours

The Seven Statues of Massena Square (Nice, France) Some refer to them as Buddhas, others as figures in prayer. While opinions vary—some adore them, others find them unattractive—no one remains indifferent to their presence. These seven resin statues, located in the heart of Nice at Massena Square, were crafted by Jaume Plensa, a Spanish artist renowned for his monumental works. The statues symbolize the seven continents and the interconnectedness of diverse communities in modern society. Titled *Conversation à Nice*, the installation embodies the idea of global dialogue. Each night, the statues are illuminated, with colors shifting gently to evoke a sense of communication and exchange between them. The effect is both visually stunning and deeply poetic.

Huge square with a lot of different shopping stores and restaurants. If you’re not in a shopping mode, at least it nice to just walk through here as every building around the square is beautiful to watch.

Yelp
Awesome place (pun intended). Spent a lot of time here when I was in Nice. It separates Avenue Jean Médecin and Vieux-Nice, plus it offers the Fountain du Soleil and Arc de 115.5 Degrés. I recommend going at least twice: once early morning, and once early evening. I came at 7am on a weekday and it was a ghost town. I was able to really take in the aesthetic the square had to offer (and take some tripod selfies without anyone else in the picture!). Later, I came back around 9pm--it was a total shitshow (in the best way possible). The liveliness of Vieux-Nice poured onto Place Masséna with people all over the square eating, drinking, and taking in the street performers. I feel going at both times of the day really gives you an appreciation for everything the square has to offer. Check it out! Excitedly, Clayton Cohn

Yelp
Beautiful square in the middle of Nice. Nice architecture surrounds the square and tons of really nice art and sculptures dot the square. There are lovely gardens on both sides of this square with fountains and mists and it's really refreshing on a hot day. I love this part of Nice and a must visit if you happen to be in town.

Yelp
This plaza was very close to our hotel, it happens to be one of the main plazas in Nice. The train passes right through it, there are water fountains, statues, and poles with lighted figurines on top. It is full of people and very busy even at night!

Yelp
This is a beautiful area, central to the trams and smaller streets with restaurants, holiday decorations, #ILoveNice sign and water display, and plenty more. Over the course of our 9 days here, we had to pass by and use the tram to get our destination for the day and once we return, find a place to grab dinner. Very central location, lots of people, security, just a great place to stroll and take in the sights!!

Yelp
Cute open area between the heart of Nice and the beaches of Nice!! There's a really fun area for, mostly kids, to cool off. They have water spraying out of the ground in this, what's almost like an outdoor water park. The kids loved it! Not that I have any, but they all seemed to be really enjoying themselves.

Yelp
A beautiful square in the middle of Nice. A fun place to stroll around day or night. Despite the heavy tourist crowds in August it stilled managed to take center stage and let you forget the throngs of tourists around you. Beautiful buildings, statues and even some modern glowing art installations at night.
