I was spending the day in a cooking class with a local French chef.
He took us here to gather the fresh ingredients and duck for the all the dishes we were learning. Chef pointed out all the local ingredients and what is imported. He obviously had his favorite vendors, as they tried to interest him in special selections.
This market, as many as I found in Paris, are fabulous. Blocks long presenting a ton of diverse food items. Fresh fruits and vegetables that usually looked better than in stores. Various poultry- duck, chicken and premade pâté. Tons of seafood. Always a few cultural dishes, Mediterranean.
