Where to Stay in Nashville (Updated 2025)

"Located right next to many of the city’s main attractions (including the Johnny Cash Museum and the Ryman Auditorium), I think Placemakr SoBro is a beautiful hotel with parquet floors, chic furniture, comfortable beds, and super friendly staff." - Matthew Kepnes

The 6 Best Hotels in Nashville (Updated 2025)

"If you need a longer stay or a kitchen, I like the fully furnished studios and 1–3 bedroom apartments with an industrial-chic design—exposed pipes, tall ceilings, colorful artwork, huge windows—and a rooftop pool and lounge for city views. Units include a dedicated workspace, washer/dryer, 55" Apple TV with streaming, and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, stove, sink, microwave, full-size fridge, coffee maker, stovetop kettle), and some have private balconies; it's also right next to many main attractions. There’s no breakfast on-site, but you’re just a couple of blocks from the retro, kitschy Sun Diner, which I always eat at when I visit." - Matthew Kepnes

I’d love to come back and stay here next time I visit Nashville. Super convenient that there’s a parking garage next door, but I didn’t have a vehicle and didn’t need it. I love how close it is to everything for a first-time visitor to Nashville. The unit itself was so clean and had an amazing view/balcony. If I had stayed longer, I would have definitely taken advantage of the full 10th floor gym, swimming pool, and outdoor area. The front office staff were always so nice and very polite and helpful. I was glad that there were staff members there- definitely a sense of security and extra customer service. 2-5 minute walking to all of Broadway, and not a bad 15-20 walk to the Gulch area. With the pedestrian bridge so close and in view, you could head to the other side of Nashville with no problem.

Great spot to explore Nashville. We stayed with friends and the 2 B/2 B unit was perfect for us. Clean, great views, nice common areas. Definitely felt more intimate than a large chain hotel. Friendly front desk personnel, (all staff we encountered were very friendly), great pool area to relax and refresh before more honky-tonk activity. We had a few groceries delivered and the front desk accepted and held them for us. If you are sensitive to noise at night, bring earplugs, but it wasn’t too bad for us and we live in the country and aren’t used to city noise. There are a few spots to grab food & coffee nearby. Easy walk to Broadway. Also, we did the Hop On Hop Off, which has a stop nearby. If we return to Nashville we would absolutely stay here again.

We booked this place on a whim for our vacation here. Wasn’t too sure what to expect but I can say that this place exceeded in every way. The room is really modern, spacious, and clean! My top 3 checks for a stay away from home. They even let us leave our luggage with the front desk personnel while we explored more of Broadway until our evening flight, which was really nice of them. We are also not walking people but this was such a perfect distance from anywhere you want to go.

We stayed here in July for the Coldplay concert. We picked this location due to the proximity to the stadium - we were able to walk to the concert in about 10 minutes plus we were 2 blocks or less from Broadway and many of the other restaurants and activities we wanted to do. Overall, the room was great - comfortable bed and well appointed. However, check in and some other items were disappointing and confusing. Check in isn't till 4 which is pretty late in my opinion. We did not receive a text message saying our room was ready so we had to wait in a long line in the lobby. There were many other people in the same position as us. There was one gentleman working who was doing his best to accommodate everyone and figure out the issues. There really needed to be more than just him. I noticed that there were more staff members at the front desk the day after we checked in and the day we checked out. The person working was able to get us a room once we talked to him which was great and we appreciated him doing that but others were not in the same position. We also received confusing information from the hotel. Example: we were told that no beach towels were available for use at the pool and to bring out own. There in fact are beach towels for guest use. We also received an email from the hotel tell saying we needed to clean the room in order to avoid a cleaning fee. We asked at the front desk what we needed to do and were told to ignore that email and that we didn't need to clean it. So overall that worked out for us but it was confusing on our end. The pool area is really nice and we took advantage of it and the hot tub. However, the pool really needed to be cleaned. There were leaves and debris at the bottom of the pool and floating in it. It was mainly concentrated at one end so we were able to avoid it. Overall, the location is great and the room was really nice. But it wasn't the best experience.

Great location, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. OShane was the first person we interacted with when we got there and he was|Awesome!! Gave us good tips and an extra discount card for the cafe. Great way to start our vacation.|We were in a two bedroom on the 32 floor. Great views, clean and well stocked. Even the residents were nice! The elevator needs a little more direction on how to use it haha everyone kept hitting floor 11|Instead is 1 but it was funny.||The location was a block from Broadway and we walked to the Gultch everyday. Took 15 mins. ||Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I came to Nashville to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we stayed at Placemakr SoBro. We arrived early and luckily had the option for early check in! Our room was perfect! It was spacious and cozy and it had a city view! We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying coffee or a beverage! They have a number you can text if you need anything and they were attentive and helpful when we did. Front desk staff is so nice! It’s in a great location. Close to everything, but far enough to enjoy a nights sleep! We couldn’t be more happy with our stay. We highly recommend staying here!

My 17th floor room had outstanding city and river views. The room was beautiful, comfy, and sparkling clean. My 550 sq. ft. studio was extra-large compared to a standard hotel. There is a DGX grocery (not overpriced) and multiple restaurants just steps away. Parking is pricy, but on par with other downtown hotels. The staff is courteous and helpful. All this just over a city block from the Lower Broadway "Honky Tonk Highway'" with nonstop music starting at 10am. I can't imagine a better place for a Nashville vacation base.

5 stars hands down to the Welcome desk. The crew is very aware of thier guests. Welcoming with warm smiles and a full heart. I have traveled throughout this land along with over seas travels and these front desk members are golden! Now onto the apartment itself. Lay out is nice. However the water pressure is horrible. The water temp is luke warm if you are lucky. The lack of decore makes the unit echo. The windows definitely need replacing. Staying on the 32nd floor we could hear the people on the street as if we were down there with them. Worst windows I've ever had. I've stayed in inns with better windows quieting the city streets. The unit should have curtains not blinds. The glare over the TV was crazy. You can tell that every prior guest sits on the same side of the couch to watch TV. The beds need to be replaced the dips in the mattresses killed our backs. The pillows just bring your own! The pool ignor the photos they are old. The pool is not blocked in by newer buildings so no direct sun just a small bit that reflects off the surrounding buildings. With what we paid for this unit for 7 days I should of been just as happy with the unit as I am with the staff and crew. However that is not the case. The unit is not worth the price tag. The crew outstanding!
