Placencia is a picturesque peninsula in Belize, boasting sandy beaches, cozy resorts, lively open-air bars, and a vibrant cultural scene—all with a laid-back vibe.
"The southern Placencia Peninsula is a laid-back beach destination where you’ll see a little bit of every Belizean cultural group, in addition to a healthy number of expats. The village is where the action is, amain drag lined with Creole restaurants, bistros, fruit stalls, and snack stands. North of the strip, resorts occupy the Seine Bight and Maya Beach areas, ranging in scale from boutique to large, with swimming pools and water toys. Placencia is near some of the most gorgeous diving and snorkeling in Belize , including dreamy islands for day trips—such as Ranguana Caye, Laughing Bird Caye, and the Silk Cayes."
This place is a must visit.
Worth the drive from Belize.
I could live here forever.
Quiet and peaceful.

Placencia is a really nice and cute tourist area in Belize. It’s a long peninsula that is quickly being developed (ongoing) for tourism. There are tons of resorts, shops, resturant, and tourist activities especial at the far end. It’s safe and great place to experience semi urban Belize. It’s very narrow with the bay on one side and the sea on the other. I would recommend no more then a few days there.

It was such a wonderful visit. The beach was scanty with people, which was great, given the current times. The residents, as usual are very amicable people.

Nice beach to hangout. If the water is rough on the east side you can always count on the water around the point being calm. So many great new upgrades by the village council, tourism and community. They have added a wooden boardwalk, benches, trash cans and a great big chair for photos.local musicians play sometimes.

Laid back. Not too crowded and food stalls to suit any budget
