Nice place and good food. However I feel we were treated less as being a tourist. We were placed on the only small table where all other german/austrian speaking people were placed on the larger tables. We were told to hang our coats, where other had their coats taken. Good place ruined by some little things.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Plachutta Stammhaus! The tafelspitz was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our waiter, Marko, was phenomenal friendly, attentive, and made the afternoon even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting an authentic Viennese meal!

Food was one of the best meals of my life. We ordered boiled beef, one kavalierspitz, and one combination with tongue and calf's head - highly recommend both. Servhce only 4 because the waiter tried to charge us for a more expensive wine, and got quite angry when we tried to correct this. In the end they did and all was well. The whole experience was overall amazing, and the food speaks for itself.

We were disappointed by this restaurant. The Tafelspitz was served without spinach, and the waiter explained it had to be ordered separately for an extra charge — unlike in Plachutta Wollzeile, where I received it with spinach as usual. Bread and butter were also added to the bill as “Gedeck” without any prior notice; it would have been fair to inform guests beforehand. The only positive was the quiet atmosphere due to the remote location, but overall the service was weaker than in other Plachutta restaurants.

Overrated. The food was good. The boiled beef was tender. Portion is generous. We ordered the famous beef soup which others were offered pancakes at the end. And we came this. We didn’t receive it. 😔 (Even though the picture on the menu we showed him has it but they didn’t serve us). Water was never refilled. We asked for the bill and it never came. We had to walk up to the server 3 times to ask to pay so we can leave. After all this experience, the server still asked us straight forward to leave tip on the machine. We paid tip but regretted coming here regardless of warning from previous visitors that this is a tourist trap. Please do not take this as an insult, me and my friend have an honest opinion that the famous beef soup tastes just like typical Vietnamese Pho noodle bowl, just without fish sauce. I wouldn’t say we don’t recommend this place. The food is good. Just don’t expect anything more than regular restaurant would do.

The bread and the apple cinnamon spritz-those were the only 2 good things I had. We ordered a terrine of mushroom, a shrimp avocado tartlet and the beef pancake soup. The terrine had no flavor, the tartlet was completely overpowered by all the shrimp and the soup was ok but nothing special. I ordered the tapelschpitz which was flavorless and lackluster. The meat was so chewy and tasted like rubber. I don’t understand why boiled meat in an underseasoned broth is so popular but I guess this is why I’m not Austrian.

Extremely poor and rude service from the staff. Don’t ruin your vacation by coming. We arrived with a reservation at 11:45, but the staff wrote on a piece of paper and handed to us, it said “12:45 OUT”. What kind of restaurant does that? So we rushed our meal. All the staff had an unhappy face throughout their service. Moreover, the tafelspitz was overrated to be honest. Go somewhere else, really.

Traditional Austrian food. It’s worth trying. Service is good and staff are attentive and helpful. We tried the carpaccio and its really fresh and tasty. For the main we tried to meat and soup plate which is very local but we like it. The waitress explained to is how to eat it. Great experience trying this local place. Recommended.
