For our trip to Singapore this year (in mid July), we decided to go via Planetabled as my friend and I (who are both on the Autism Spectrum) were told that it was a good company for people with disabilities.
My personal experience of the companies quality has been more or less positive. To be fair, I would like to highlight both my positive and negative experiences with the way the company handled our Singapore trip (which is completed now).
To start of with the negatives, one of the main problems that I had with this company is with the organisation of the communication between me as a client and Planetabled itself. Almost all communications regarding the planning of the trip have to be done with Neha (who is the head of Planetabled), which technically leaves you with no higher authority to approach in case of any issues with regards to the planning of the trip. On top of that I found Nehas' communication style to be poor as I had to somewhat get after her to properly respond back to my queries as she was reluctant to confirm the large amounts of payments that I had made for the trip (which I took some offense to.)(she later on confirmed the payments). Also, we had applied for special assistance at the airport through Singapore airlines which was somewhat mismanaged by Neha again due to poor communication as we had to go through Delhi airport security without any proper assistance. Neha and I have spoken over call about these issues and one feedback that I gave her was to clarify her intentions to customers clearly as they may not understand why these types of behaviours are occurring (for example, after the trip was over Neha told me that she generally communicates with a one point reference when it comes to group travelling, which in this case was Akash since he had initiated the trip negotiations with Planetabled, which should have been done during the planning of the trip. Another point to note is that Neha clarified this to me only after I had written this critical review and not before that.). I would like to also mention that Neha became a little more approachable to me after I had communicated my dissatisfaction with the lack of communication.
Another negative aspect that I found about Nehas' handling of the trip is that she seemed to be giving some wrong information about our trip regarding our place of stay, etc.. For example, the hotels that she recommended for us were much more expensive than the Siloso Beach Resort that we chose in Sentosa for ourselves and she claimed that those would be cheaper.
On the positive side, we did get some special assistance at the airports while boarding the flight and going through immigration. The contact reference that we got in Singapore (Saritha Viswanadhan) was very professional and prompt with her responses. Also our driver that drove us from the airport to our resort was a gem of a person.
Overall my ratings for Planetableds services would range from a 3-3.5 stars out of five. I felt that the management of the trip in Singapore was good but the management of the trip from Nehas' end could have been better.
