Really nice camp sites and large shared bathrooms. The restaurant was great as well and I had one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had. The grounds were nice and the pool area was a nice place to relax. We did the Ntwetwe Pan (Makgadikgadi) Expedition w/ Quads with them where you visit the meerkats and it is a must-do experience. While the quads were fun, if you skip them due to the expense and just ride in the safari jeep, you will still have a great time. The meerkats were SO cool. When you meet in the morning at the restaurant before getting in the jeeps they serve coffee, tea and muffins and then you get a bigger breakfast while out on the tour and it was really good. We hadn't planned on doing the afternoon village tour that some people had signed up for after the meerkats/pan but were able to join it last minute and it was good - not an absolute must-do, but nice to add on.

One of the highlights of a three week trip to Botswana.|We slept out on the pans with the Baobab team. What an experience. A true bucket list item ticked off.|Dinner was super tasty, beds were very comfortable and warm.|Coffee beside the fire as the sun was rising the next morning was a true core memory. ||We were a family of four, with two kids aged 8 and 10. They loved every second.

Awesome baobab trees in every direction you are watching. Lodges were lovely round huts, nicely decorated at the outside, African interior. Good beds. Lovely breakfast, even more lovely lunch and diner. You need to tell your choice for diner in the morning, they have some a la cart choices. All very tasteful.|They organize an early morning drive to the meercats and salt pans. Breakfast is included. This drive is fabulous. The meercats can be aproached from nearby. You are watching how the first one is scanning the surrounding area, then the 2nd comes who does the same, then the 3rd one, 4th one...16th one. The whole family goes for breakfast!

Beautiful traditional hotel with a fully stocked bar and restaurant. This place is totally overpriced but not much choice in the area, and definitely miles better than the establishment in Gweta. My oxtail meal was average, but rather little on portion size. A small basket of chips would’ve been a friendly and welcoming choice. Also, brutal fruit, a widely available drink in the region wasn’t stocked. The bar lady who was on her three month probation was extra nice though. She kept me entertained with stories of Gaborone. The staff at this establishment made me feel welcome. Thank you

We were recommended Planet Baobab by friends and what a quirky little place. We camped here for 2 x nights and the facilities were beautifully maintained and very clean. We loved the Baobab's and how the bar had been built around the tree as was the reception desk. It truly was a great place to chill after a morning tour to the meerkats and Makgadikgadi Pans which is so worth doing. It at times could be a little disorganised but in fairness there is a large distance between the kitchen and the restaurant due to a recent fire. Fabulous and welcoming staff.

A magical place you’ll never forget. The café sits under an enormous baobab tree — nature’s cathedral. I had fresh coffee and homemade bread with local honey — simple but full of heart. The staff are smiling, helpful, and treat you like family. You can sit for hours watching the sunset and feeling the peace of Botswana. It’s not just food; it’s connection with land and people. Perfect stop if you travel across the Makgadikgadi region. A hidden gem full of calm energy, laughter, and authenticity.

We stayed at the campsite for one night. Good location, clean ablution. Dinner and breakfast was good. We wanted to do the meercat safari, but the tour takes 6hours and this was sadly too long for our itinerary

We are spending two nights here at Planet Baobab and absolutely love it. This place is stunning – the surroundings, with the massive Baobab trees, are truly unique. The bar, restaurant, and bungalows are beautifully integrated into nature, and at sunset, the entire place turns magical.||Today, we went on an excursion to the Nwetwe Salt Pans to see the meerkats. Our guide, Albert, was excellent – he shared so much knowledge about the local nature and Botswana in general. We learned a great deal during the trip. The breakfast we had near the meerkats was outstanding – we've never had such good food on an excursion before!
