We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Planeta Wine Tasting in Sciaranuova near Taormina! Our guide, Elena, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, making the tasting both fun and informative. The wines were excellent, with very fair pricing, and they even offer worldwide shipping, which is a great bonus. The food pairing was delicious, and the presentation and decor were beautiful, already reflecting a lovely autumnal atmosphere. Elena’s insights about each wine, especially the Aux to White Lotus, were impressive and really enhanced the experience. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Sicily who wants a top-notch wine tasting experience! 🫶🏼

After a beautiful drive up Mt. Etna, we arrived at Planeta Sciaranuova. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. Miriam, our incredible guide, brought the land and its story to life throughout the tour, leading us through a delicious wine and aperitif pairing that showcased the best of the region. Even after seeing this estate featured in The White Lotus Sicily, being here in person was far more beautiful than I ever expected. The views, the wines, and the warm hospitality made this a true highlight of our trip. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sicily.

An unforgettable experience at the foot of Mount Etna! Elena gave us the warmest welcome and an incredible tour of the estate. The vineyard is beautifully nestled at the base of Mount Etna, a truly picturesque and peaceful setting. We took the White Lotus Tour and loved every moment. The wines were exquisite, and the meal was just as delicious. Planeta has several vineyards across Sicily, so even if you’re not in this region, you can still enjoy their wines in other locations. Highly recommended for wine lovers visiting the island!

Authentic Sicilian experience We enjoyed a fantastic time at Planeta Sciaranuova near Mount Etna for the White Lotus experience - wine, art and landscape tour. Miriam our sommelier was very informative of the wines, the vineyards and the area, all in a warm and welcoming approach. She is passionate about the history, the land and the local wines and food. The wines were all quite interesting and enjoyable and our lunch was delicious, including all ingredients from the local region. We also loved tasting the olive oils. We would highly recommend this experience!

We did a tasting with lunch at Planeta Etna in November following the advice of our Mt Etna tour guide. Since we had watched White Lotus, I was afraid this would be very touristy and crowded. That was not at all the case! Our group of 6 plus another couple were the only ones there. We enjoyed a brief but educational tour of the winery and vineyards followed by the best meal we had on our trip. There were delicious appetizers, a salad that I will dream about for years and an absolutely incredible pasta dish. All of these were accompanied perfectly by their wine and olive oil. The wines were really good, the grounds were charming, and the entire experience was world class. This is a beautiful and historic winery and well worth the rather crazy drive up the mountain to get there!

We had such a wonderful time during our tour and lunch at the winery. Miriam is fantastic - so knowledgeable and friendly! The wines are obviously great, and the lunch was made with fresh, hyper local ingredients. It's so gorgeous as well, with views of Etna and the surrounding valleys. A highlight of our trip to Sicily. I would recommend it to anyone traveling here.

We had a tour, wine tasting, and lunch here. It was all wonderful. The tour was great!! The tour started in the old press mill. The hostess for our tour did a great job. It was full of information on the different Planeta wineries and their different special varietals and soil compositions. We then went outside and she spoke about their vineyard in more detail. The wine tasting was in another building with a great long table that was already set up for us. Everything ran smoothly and we got to try 4 different wines. The accompanying cheese and bread board was delicious. All came from the local area too. The lunch was absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed it very much. Everything on the plate was also locally sourced.
